After several disastrous hours on the phone/chat with Verizon, I gave up. I booked an appointment with this Verizon store and received outstanding service. Derek spent multiple hours helping me sort out an issue made overly complicated by online Verizon support. Everything that was promised to me was executed. I recommend booking an appointment before going to this store. This particular location can be extremely busy, but I watched every employee greet each walk in customer immediately. I also want to highly commend the Store Manager. He was working just as hard as every single employee. I have worked in human resources for 30 years and this store is run very effectively within the parameters corporate has allowed them. I said this because corporate Verizon really should expand the support tables in this store. read more

Verizon does a "service charge" to just transfer data from the old phone to a new one. They are right now charging $40 to my neighbor JUST to transfer data, she is a military widow in her 80s. She had to save $40 so this rip off company can take advantage if her. My advice, don't do business with Verizon. read more

The service here is painfully slow. I was given a 15 minute wait , it ended up being almost an hour. The promotion online that I was going to submit was different in-store. Nick knew that I was running low on time. He kept trying to upsell me and tired increasing my bill by almost 70.00, than promised things would look cheaper in a few months but couldn't provide it on paper, just what he wrote in pen. Everything was taking so long I ultimately excused myself and walked out. He proceed to make a rude comment about how I should of better with my time management. Which was very unprofessional. First thing-make an appointment!!! If you don't you will be waiting. I got lucky at the time I went in and only had to wait for 15 min, but as people came in while I was waiting, the wait time continued to increase up to a couple of hours. Went to this store on a Saturday morning because my mothers phone was acting up. We were greeted right away and we told the host what our problem was with the phone. We showed him the phone and the screen. He didn't even put our name on the list because he could fix it right away. He was very friendly and nice. So normally, i wouldn't review such a place, but my [two] recent experiences here are worthy of a review. Recently, my boyfriend returned home from a 3 month deployment, which we had his phone turned off for so we wouldn't have to pay for something he wasn't using. So over the weekend, we treked down to the closest store to us that helps with all. In the flick of a switch, they were able to turn back on his phone, upgrade mine, transfer his information to my old phone, add me to the admin panel, change our password to login, add additional data to our plan, hook us up with a military/government employee discount and more! Great customer service, however stay away from any of the Zagg "screen protectors" I just got the iPad Pro, and was talked into a zagg invisible shield which I was hesitant on getting in the first place due to performance issues. So i said "why not", purchased it, and had them apply it for me. Fast forward to 2 weeks after the purchase and while I was drawing, a crack appeared on the screen so I decided to go and see if they would replace it or refund me the money. They explained that the Zagg company has a lifetime warranty and I could go through them and get a brand new one, I explained that I don't want their product on my device because I literally had it for 2 weeks and it broke without any impact (what this product supposedly protects your screen against) so I don't want it. Long story short, don't buy any Zagg products, go to Staples and pick up some Liquid Armor. That stuff works great for protection against scratches and stuff like that! read more

So I made an appointment to see the Verizon store on Academy Road wrong one for help with the phone, and you should know when I got there a little after one which my appointment was on the 26th between one and 130 I was told that that's not the name that is under that appointment so it was absolute waste of time to go online and make an appointment! Second visit to this store, second time I've received shoddy service. Today, as last time, I was greeted by a 20 something whose mind was clearly somewhere else. She asked what I was looking for, showed me where it was and then basically checked out. She snapped out of it (musing on quantum physics no doubt) when I asked for a different brand of phone that she showed me with an equal lack of enthusiasm. I tried to pick up a phone and was informed they are all secured to the display. I'm supposed to spend $800 on a phone I can just look at? Told her I had driven to the store to actually see (touch, feel, etc) this phone. She shrugged. Drove to the Apple store at the shops at briargate and all the iPhones are out on display for you to handle as you please. THIS IS HOW IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE!!!! After being completely ignored at the Verizon Go Wireless joke of a store in Monument for 20 minutes I decided to make the drive here. Upon walking in I am told "We'll be right with you." Ah yes. Thank you for acknowledging I am alive and in your store. As opposed to the Monument Go Wireless where three workers said nothing. There I stood, like a chooch totally ignored. Next a friendly guy named Tom walked up to me within minutes and asked for my number and why I came in. He then told me there's about 6 people ahead of me and it's gonna be about 25 minutes. Perfect!! As paying consumers what we want is to be respectfully acknowledged, communicated with and told time parameters. Not complicated. Tom nailed it. The Monument location was a total fail. No respect. No acknowledgement I was even alive. No communication at all. No time parameters. Just stand there like a dummy and be ignored for 20 minutes then leave furious. This store is absolutely useless. Their sales advisors are completely uneducated in the products. I recently went to the store to inquire about the galaxy watch. . At the time I had the google pixel 2. The sales advisor ENSURED me the phone and watch were compatible. After purchasing the watch and buying a contract with it, it turned out the watch was not compatible. So I had to switch back to the galaxy s8 in order to use a device we had to have (by 2 year contract). I came in to the store today to inquire about the galaxy S10, the lady had absolutely NO idea what any of the specs were for the phone. When I asked if there was a tech person in the store who might know more, she said I just need to call samsung. Why is someone authorized to sell a product in which they know nothing about. It is a tough choice--dentist or wireless provider--which is more painful? Actually this was an acceptable experience. We were greeted quickly at the door, shown some appropriate phones to replace the one my wife misplaced. After she chose her phone, we were shown several accessories. These accessories tend to run up the price before you can get out the door, but we are kind of stuck with having to get them. Because iPhone changes the power plug we have to duplicate chargers for the car. And of course we needed a glass screen protector and a case. So these "free" phones cost a bit. Wife-units phone bill will go up $15 a month so there goes another $360 before the bill goes back down in 24 months. Verizon has always been reluctant to provide much seating in their stores. They do have ottomans in the showroom, which I used in that with a bad back I cannot stand for very long, at least not flat-footed. After making our selection we had to go to the counter to finish data entry and payment. The counters do not have a foot-rail on the customer side. They do have one for the staff on their side of the counter. As anyone with a bad back knows, putting one foot on a rail changes the geometry of the spine and relieves fatigue and pain. We had great customer service. They were coming around with food and drinks while we waited. The wait to see someone wasn't too bad (some wait is to be expected) and Nick did an awesome job taking care of us. The only downside was we had to wait for corporate's Tech Support to pick up which took awhile. I really wish they had a directly link to tech support. The store was clean and it looked like people were trying to help people as fast as possible. read more

I just walked out! I placed an order online and was told I could pick up my phone at this store. So, I went there and they told me my order was pending status??? I showed them my bank confirmation for $562 purchase and they said "Nothing we can do here, you ordered it online!" I called 611, tried 3 different chats with reps ... all of them told me my order was "ON HOLD" but did not say why. Called bank and they said they accepted the order for payment... but then nothing came through. I left the store angry after an hour of not getting my phone and not having the order snafu cleared up. I left my checkbook behind by accident and tried to call back to ask them to hold it for me. BUT, GUESS WHAT? They don't answer their phone!!!! Worst customer service EVER - no one knows how to escalate a problem to a final resolution and keep the customer happy. And, good luck trying to call them. Oscar is amazing. I walked into the store and was met by a young lady named Beeca. I am not sure if that is the correct spelling. I am 60 years old and I am a very slow typer. She would not touch my phone and when I asked her to help me through the process, she said, "I can't touch your phone." Never has a Verizon employee NOT touch my phone. They are always happy to help. She also asked me, "how fast can you type?" I told her, "not very fast." So, she went to help someone else. Oscar came up to me and asked me what the problem was. I told him I need a new screen protector. He took my phone from me and began helping me. Beeca ran over to us and said, "don't grab her phone like that." I said, I am so glad he did that." He walked me through the process and I was out of there in 5 minutes. He even held the door for me when I left. Super, super service from Oscar. He needs to be promoted or get a raise! The associates have better things to do, like stand around talking to each other, than to help customers. I went in to switch back to Verizon (from ATT, because my iPhone7 is acting a little weird after the switch,) and after being made to "check in" with my name and phone number, was told the switch back process would take a while and that there was one person ahead of me. At least two workers, including the one who checked me in, were just leaning on the phone racks talking to each other while I stood off to the side waiting to start the "long process." After about 5 minutes of standing there being ignored I realized I liked AT&T okay after all, and left. read more

I have tried 4 times to get these people to program my unlocked iPhone 5 since the phone I have now is broken, and every time I've gone in they come up with a different excuse for why they can't help. After hearing 4 different excuses about why they can't help, I went to the Apple Store and the employees there were extremely helpful. They told us Verizon has been yanking us around and what they've been telling us is not true. They called Verizon corporate and got instructions on how to make the phone work, and they said all Verizon has to do is program the SIM card. It is becoming harder and harder to continue being a Verizon customer. Battery is overheating in a 6 month old phone (Not Verizon's fault). Verizon support stated to take it into this store and have the unit exchanged under warranty (Wow, great service). Once in the store, the rep began to dig deeply looking for issues not to warranty the exchange (Accuse first, then ask questions). She made a claim that the phone may be water damaged. Knowing that the phone has never been near a spill, pool, lake, jacuzzi, rain, snow, etc... She stated that she would have a replacement overnighted to our home. (The unit was not in stock for replacement.) Waited 4 days to receive the phone replacement (Never came). Called Verizon once again, where they stated that the replacement was never ordered. We spend $3600.00 a year on cell phone service, and been a customer for more than 4 years. I am beginning to wonder if "they can hear me now." It is extremely easy to cancel contracts and move to another carrier. We have used Verizon because the phone service has been good even though the customer service is often lacking. Sprint and AT&T work well in our area. Maybe it's time for a change, for no better reason than poor customer service. We will not return to the store. In the future it will be online or at another company. read more

I called Verizon first. The guy on the phone was not helpful at all. He told me the only option was the unlimited text, talk & data. I went into this store and worked with Casey. Rushed out the door before they even turned on the phone. I have lines with Verizon and my S7 started to malfunction. I went in and upgraded to the S8. The rep was working with me and then all of a sudden the manager came over and asked how we were doing. Next thing I know the rep is packing up my stuff and shuffling me out the door. They had not even turned on the power to the new phone or tested it to make sure it was working. Now I am waiting on hold with the activation department. I just spent $500.00 and they can't take the time to make sure my new equipment is working. The minute they had my money, the customer service went out the window. I run two businesses and I need this phone to work so my customers can call me. I am very disappointed with Verizon and I will be looking for another carrier as my contracts expire. read more

We went in to purchase a tablet and knew exactly what we wanted. It took 2-1/2 hours to purchase and get it set up! We waited 20 minutes just to have a screen shield installed on the tablet. The entire store was packed, and the young lady at the reception desk wasn't helpful. It should never, ever take a customer as long to purchase a tablet as it takes to purchase a CAR! The one saving grace was Brad, the salesperson. He was informative, knowledgeable, thorough and PATIENT. My Apple iPad took 10 minutes to purchase and get set up. Verizon can learn a lot from their model. This was absolutely ridiculous and their approach to having customers wait for close to an hour just to talk to a live person not reasonable.
