I am having a terrible experience with Verizon. If you have to deal with them i Colorado Springs please stay away from the University Village store. The manager is arrogant and just laughs. They have not done anything they promised when I signed up and are claiming things that are not true. Let me tell you about my man, BORIS! Hands down by far the best customer service I have ever experienced with a cellphone company. This man deserves a raise of the highest tier! He was extremely patient and took the time to not only figure out what was wrong with my plan but he also explained everything, answered all of my questions, wrote everything down, AND found some discounts I didn't even know I qualified for. A customer sitting next to me also noticed his patience and mentioned how great he was with helping an elderly couple right before me. His work ethic was noticed throughout the store. My phone SIM card stopped working late in the day and I lost all cell service. First I called Verizon using a different phone to see if we could resolve the issue without going in. I followed the prompts and typed in my phone number but the verification process sent the code to my cell phone which wouldn't work because I lost all service. No problem I thought, I will run to the Verizon store to talk to an actual person. I arrived to the store and explained my issue to the associate. Since it's a business phone I need approval. No problem, I called and woke up (He's 2 hours ahead) the owner of the account to give Verizon approval to fix the phone. The associate then says that she has to send a verification to either the company email or phone number listed on the account. It's late and no one is in the office so neither of those options work. The solution that was provided to me was "the business manager will be in tomorrow" and that she "legally" could not fix the phone that is on Verizon's network, attached to an active account, with the owner of the account on the phone, with the phone assigned to me, after I showed her my ID, and with company name on my jacket. The level of unwillingness to help was completely unacceptable. If you're looking for a business account be aware that if a phones SIM card stops working and you are unable to get the verification codes you're completely screwed. They could have fixed it and probably would have been pretty fast. Luckily I was not traveling when this happened. Very unreliable customer service and there is a chance they refuse to help and you're left stranded. UPDATE: Went back in the following day. Dani was very helpful and fixed the issue. read more

This is the worst store in Colorado Springs. Long wait, unfriendly and un knowledgeable staff. I traded in my watch here over a month ago. They did not send it in on time so I'm being charged $180. Dante said there isn't anything he can do unless I remember who helped me LOL. Marcus was finally willing to help since he was actually the one who took my watch for a trade in. All I wanted was my receipt so I can go back to Monique at the other Verizon store next to tomo sushi who was awesome and I will always go there from now on. I waited to speak to a manager who was stuck on a call and couldn't be disturbed. Staff at this location is "friendly" and ready to help whenever they are getting people to buy things, as soon as it gets tough or they mess up they try to shoo you away. Not today guys! Whoever is in charge of this store needs to reevaluate what they are doing. Total hours spent here = a little more than 3 hours. Most of it just waiting and most likely hoping I'd leave. Dante was able to rectify the issue. They credited my account $25 for the inconvenience but I do think that over 3 hours is worth more than $25. Please do better this was a horrible experience. read more

Super disappointed with the in store experience. What is the point of having a storefront if you can help with exactly zero issues? I don't even know the point of the storefront. To sell iPhones? Literally any issue you have they give you a 1-800 number and tell you to sit in a corner and call them, and talk to a robot for an hour trying to get them to understand an issue. read more

This store used to have the greatest customer service. They have really gone downhill! I have gone here every two years, when it was time to upgrade cell phones for my son and I. They always were able to help me find good deals, transfer the data from old phones to the new ones and wipe and trade in the old phones, and we would walk out with new phones that day. This time, the guy told us they had none of the phones in stock (ones that were on display), basically told me we needed to upgrade to 5G without looking at any options or really answering any questions at all! I wish I could remember his name, but he was worthless. I could have gotten a better deal by getting online myself, finding a better deal and ordering the phones myself. Next time I will skip the store, and I will never shop there again, since they provide NO customer service or assistance of any kind! Disgusting. read more

Truly awful customer service at this location. I stood around and waited for almost 20 minutes before I was even acknowledged in the store. I watched as multiple other customers who entered the store after me get acknowledged within 3 mins of entering. I've been a Verizon customer since 2006. Literally never seen such poor service in a store...I will not be back. Kelly not only helped with their service along with Rob but she reviewed our Verizon account and saved us over $70.00 per month in a bundle for our internet service. Mom went there today. Lady she talked to said they are sales only and didnt offer technical help if you get a new phone. She only asked for help transferring data from old android phone to new Apple phone she wanted to purchase today from Verizon. I've come to this location three times in the last week and a half to turn in an old phone, all three times I've stood waiting and watching the employees. The short haired blonde manager acting type (I don't believe she is the manager as she has no visible indications letting you know she is the manager, but she certainly stands over everyone's shoulders and acts as if she is) doesn't do anything, she stands around and watches other floor workers. Not so much as checking anyone in. Three floor workers crowded around one young couple who could not figure out if they wanted to get off their parents phone plan, this took over an hour. Three employees. While 7 people were waiting. Still not checked in. One employee spent almost an hour bringing several dozen phone cases from the back to show an older woman. She specifically said the color pallet she preferred, he proceeded to bring many many more of varying colors regardless. Extremely inefficient staff, un-involved manager. 10/10 do not recommend unless you want to wait roughly an hour and a half for the simplest of issues. Regardless of appointment by the way, I tried that. Still had to wait behind everyone. read more

Update to review from 1/12/21: It has taken us three days to get our remaining payments made and lines/account terminated. Unable to access account online until today and were ultimately unable to disconnect online, waited on the phone for 5+ hours with reps in Philippines, India, Texas. Hours that I'll never get back. Done with Verizon. All because we couldn't access the store as a couple. This store rates 2 stars ONLY because previous visits weren't so complicated. We DO understand and observe COVID protections and we certainly don't want to get sick or infect anyone else, but they went too far. It was NOT easy to get our original appointment and they wouldn't allow us in without. read more

Calling ahead to schedule an appointment was easy. The first day we had a lot of moving pieces trying to get my whole family all ported over and on the same plan. It did not go smoothly to say the least, so we had to come back the following day to finish everything up. The experience on the second day is why I am writing this review. Dustin was amazing. He wasn't the sales rep helping us the first day but he took over for the previous person seamlessly and provided top notch quality service. He got my mom and little brother all set up quickly. Answered all of our questions and reviewed our account to make sure everything was input correctly the previous day, and I am glad he did because it was not. Dustin got us all fixed up and I could not have been happier. He was nice, personable, and professional. Everything you want in a customer service rep. I give the manager of this location my vote for Dustin as their best employee. His customer service is second to none! read more

I had the worse experience visiting the store in south gate it smelled so bad like rotten eggs. The manager should be ashamed of himself to have its employees work under this conditions. With all the blowers, air purifiers and commercial fans. Nothing was working to eliminate the odor. Who knows what health hazards their facing but someone needs to face the problem and shut it down. The store is clean and I was greeted immediately. I purchased two phones from Amaris. Amaris is knowledgeable, friendly and professional. My purchase went smoothly and very quick. I ended up changing my mind and went back the next day to get two different phones. Samantha helped me this time and was just as helpful as Amaris. Walked in and they took down my name; waited for my turn. Wanted to upgrade my iPhone to 7plus and walked out with the x for practically the same price. Very helpful sales lady explained everything I had questions for. Put on my screen protector perfectly which is awesome bc I suck at it. You'll wait a while but the service is the best by far out of the other Verizon's in the area. They actually help you here compared to the other Verizon stores in the springs. Connor, the store manager, does not have very good customer service skills for a store manager. His employee, Dee, was wonderful. Connor initially tried to blame me for a problem with my brand new iPhone11. He tried to say it was a something that I had caused, but it was obvious it was not my fault. He also said," You're gonna regret not getting the insurance on your phone." Just a jerk and now I will make sure I never go back to this store again and also let all my Verizon friends know not to go there as well. Good Job Connor! read more

Agree 100% with Florentina. Super duper stinky store but that's not the main reason why I'm writing this particular review. I went in a few days ago with my two young daughters to buy a GIzmo watch for my 5yr old. This is a very expensive $179 plus tax watch. Too help us keep our daughter safe with GPS tracker. I was helped by an employee named Tanya who although was very nice, lied about the extra fees/charges associated with this purchase. I asked multiple times what the extra charges would be besides the purchase of the watch and was told multiple times it's just an extra $5 a month to your bill. It seemed to good to be true which is why I kept asking her "Are you sure?" A few days later I got an email to check my recent purchase and there was a link to view my next estimated bill. On that bill was a $40 activation charge. So I called the store manager Connor who made me feel like I should have known there's an activation fee without being told even though I specifically asked about any other fees/charges. He basically said he needed to talk to his employee to get her side of the conversation and that there was nothing he could do about it. I've been a loyal customer for years and years. The last time I activated a phone was a long long time ago. I definitely didn't remember about the activation fee or any of the extra fees so that is why I asked multiple times to make sure there wouldn't be any surprises on my bill. No loyal honest customer should be treated that way by a multi-million dollar company, for $40. The $40 bucks really isn't the issue so much to me as the poor customer service is. The manager Connor needed to own up for his employees poor training and rectify the situation in my eyes like a great manager is paid to do. Update: I was contacted by Shawn at Verizon and he said the $40 fee was credited back to me. Thank you for rectifying this situation. read more

We went to Verizon because we were super frustrated with AT&T and we were helped by Simone. She was absolutely wonderful I wish I could give her more than 5 stars she was so excellent she was friendly and made us feel so comfortable. I couldn't imagine working with anyone else in that store! The only downfall was that when she was speaking to us another not so polite co worker interrupted her in mid sentence to try and correct her. He made it a point to stop talking to his customers just to interrupt us, in which Simone did not need as she was very knowledgeable! She's is terrific! read more

Literally the best customer service I have received at a Verizon store. Quite frankly may be the best service I have received anywhere since I moved to Colorado. MJ (I believe that's his name) was extremely helpful, honest, and walked me through all of my challenges. Greeter was really nice and it appears overall everyone was in a good mood. I would get here as they open or even wait outside Andes minutes before the doors open. They get very busy, but we're handling the traffic very well. read more

The service here is great. I love the fact that when I go here I'm not pushed to buy any particular product. The employees who've helped me here always ask questions in a way that makes sure all of your needs are met. It's "do you need a case for this?", not "pick out a case for your phone." We spoke with Adam today. It was rainy out so the kids were hyper (no park, yard to play in in the rain to run energy off!). One of the other staff members gave my kids HER OWN PHONE to watch Mickey Mouse on while we got two new phones, new hot spot and got everything ported and on. That was a HUGE help!! Now, back to Adam, Adam was amazing! He explained the billing very clearly, didn't argue or try to upsell me when I told him the phone I fell in love with, SUGGESTED the trade in on our other phones, printed the rebates for us, gave us already addressed envelopes to put them in, let us use his scissors to get things together for the rebate. He was able to transfer the info from our old phones and helped us get our new phones completely set up. When we walked out of the store, our phones were completely ready to use! I am definitely happy I switched from our old provider to this new provider and we are looking forward to the quality of customer care being the same throughout our relationship with Verizon! read more
