I've been to great Verizon stores and I've been to shitty ones. This one was shitty. They take to long and don't seem to know enough about there phones and what to tell customers. It feels like a teaching school for Verizon except there managers aren't helping there employees. My suggestion is to go to Verizon's in larger cities or closer to Sacramento. It is a tale as old as time. You break your smartphone and have to revert back to your old phone. I strolled into the store and was greeted quickly and given a realistic estimate of how long my wait would be. A young man named Pheng quickly introduced himself and began the switching over process. Within just a few minutes, my old phone was up and running. After quickly glancing at my account, Pheng pointed out that I had not been using much of my allotted data or minutes. After a few swipes of his tablet I was at a better rate. I was not even thinking about my plan , but he caught it. Good store. read more

I/we have had Verizon since we moved to Elk Grove in 2001. In January 2013 I upgraded my 3 yr old android to a new android Motorola Razer. I immediately began having problems with the phone, and within 7 days I took it back, and they replaced it with another of the same phone. I began having the same issues with the phone and went back to the store, the customer service was terrible, they looked at the phone and dismissed my concerns and they said it was fine. I contacted Verizon on line and by phone and got help, but it did not solve the problem. I took the phone back and wanted to replace the phone with a different model because by then I had checked the Verizon community page on the Verizon web site and found lots of other people who had the same issues with the Motorola Razzer. I asked to exchange it for a different model, at first they refused by then the store manger agreed to but I had to pay a $35.00 restocking fee and the difference for the HTC DNA. Since I had no other choice I paid the re-stocking fee and the difference along with a new case/holder for the new phone. All told I ended up paying $100. more for the HTC DNA than had I bought it first. I can not recommend Verizon Elk Grove on Laguna Blvd for any product due to the poor customer service and concerns I had about the product. We have 6 lines in the family share plan and were looking to add two more in a month. Now we are looking at taking all of our phones to another provider who will provide us with best service. read more

So, now with this quarantine I finally have time to write this review. First I want to say little over a month ago I went to this location and was greeted immediately. I believe the guy that helped me his name was Oddie or something like that can't really remember. Anyways I end up needing to get my daughter on our plan and buy a new phone. He made this process so stress free that I was extremely happy when I left. We were in there for a little while as I had lots of questions and he answered them all for me. He end up even showing me how to work the phone correctly and had great recommendations for my daughter's phone. She breaks her phones a lot. He was so caring and genuine, he even spent extra time with us to make sure we had all our questions answered. I've never had such outstanding service from any provider or person. Hung ROCKS! He handled my phone issue in an expert fashion even though there were a few challenges. Hung was extremely skilled and professional. There were around 15 other people in the store. Walked into Verizon yesterday after I left pink berry. I wasn't immediately greeted at the door like they used to do so from their lost a star. I finally got greeted by an Indian guy maybe Fijian whatever I'm not racist just not 100 sure. Anyway I came looking in for an otter box and I just didn't like his personality he wasn't friendly at all and he showed me only one area cases were In and I roamed for the others. I asked him about the verizon discount that a few years ago we got 50 off accessories and he said nope never heard of it been working here 4 years. Looking at me crazy. This store has poor customer service. I was told I would have a 45 min wait so I told the girl I was going next to eat. Wasn't gone only about 20 minutes came back to find out my name has been erased off of the list and now it will be an additional hour wait. Then I was told if I didn't want to wait I could go ahead and dial star 611 and speak to customer service If we're walking into the store to speak to somebody about our services why would we need to wait that long that's why I'm getting rid of Verizon. I just became a Verizon Wireless customer, and I didnt know where or who to trust seeing as most sales reps just want their commission. I went in the store a couple days before I turned 18 expecting to sign a contract and get a new iPhone 5 or 5s. At $60 a month, with 1GB of data and unl talk and text, I was okay and could afford that. One sales rep named Ezat was absolutely stunning in his abilities to connect with me not as a customer but also as a friend, and local. Ezat actually took the time to find out what I liked,and did for a living. I exited the store with an idea and knowledge on what I wanted. I came back on the 29th of May, 2014, and decided It wouldn't be smart to sign a contract with no credit and a non-guaranteed income, Ezat helped me again, and remembered me and his friendly and persevering attitude didn't change. I replied and said I would like to do pre-paid and then switch to post-paid (contract) after I get a steady income sorted. He was perfectly okay with that, and showed no judgements based on financial standing. I walked out of the store with a literally like-new iPhone 4 that they called refurbished, an Otterbox, 3 screen protectors, two home chargers, and my activation fees waived all for $270. Now you may think thats a lot, however, you get what you pay for; for example, prior to this I had Metro PCS with horrible service, patchy phone calls, random mexicans calling me, and spam texts. With Verizon I have AMAZING service, NO adds, CRYSTAL clear calls, and my own number, not a recycled one, i GET 3gb of data, and Unl talk and text for $65 a month. Its all dependant on what your willing to pay. If you can afford $65 a month and overage fees, then its not expensive for you due to your income, but if you don't make as much, then yes it is expensive. Considering my gross total price was $383 and I walked out spending $270, Im happy. VERY HAPPY. One of the worst locations I have ever been to. Made the biggest mistake by signing a contract for one of the portable wifi jet packs. What a rip-off. Verizon staff here were dishonest with explaining how the device works, didn't take the time to show us thorough instructions, no nothing. Me being a new customer had to find out the hard way after signing a 2-yr contract for the portable wifi. Be aware that the jet pack does not keep accurate or real time account of your data usage. It's very easy to go over your contract limit. For us, 5gb between 2 users/2 devices was wayyyy not enough. Went slightly over unbenoced to us and was charged immediately for $15 dollars extra over the $50/per month for 5gbs. I was told device auto shuts off once you hit the contract limit you chose...ours again was 5gb. 5gb was gone in 2-wks somehow/someway. Made no sense to us since we have no social media. Totally not worth it. Waste of money. No employee we came in contract with knew their jobs or could accurately answer any questions. They always wanna say there's nothing they can do call customer service and then customer service says they can't do anything go into your local store. You could never get a straight answer from anyone. All I got was the run around. The "manager" was a complete airhead. I cancelled the contract and paid the early cancel fee of $175. So worth it to be done with Verizon. No one takes responsibility for their lack of action and lack of service. Even customer service took me 50 minutes mostly on hold to get even more run around. *headache*. No one at this location tried to make anything right, no one apologized for bad service, no nothing. Watch out for the sales staff at this store. They will lie just to get you to buy something so they can change your phone plan or charge an extra fee. We went in to turn in an old phone when we upgraded and then the hard sell started to buy an ipad and before you knew it our phone plan had been changed even though we didn't even buy the ipad or turn in our old phone. really bad service, a lady rep helped us on are first visit in this morning. I told her you guys ordered me a replacement phone earlier in the week and when i got it the replacement phone didnt work. Without looking into r account she gave us false information basically telling me it wasnt there promblem and i would have to call some insurance place.she was rude and didnt want to provide customer service, however we went home called the number she instructed us to only to find out from them that verizon handles it directly. My husband called and spoke to another rep and explained to them that we just returned the other phone and this one doesnt work and we were given miss leading information he aplogized and told is to come in. We drove all the way back to the store to only to find out we couldnt order a new one yet when we could have been told over the phone this information. However did get a nice rep by name of jon who gave us his number and told us he would take care of it, thankful there at least one person who didnt forget about customer service. I have lived in Laguna since it started, about 1987. I was here before this store came into being. I can honestly say, that this Verizon store has had the snootiest sales people of any store I have ever been to, and they still are! I think it was because I had a pre-teen girl with me, I can't decide why one time in particular, a salesperson was very rude and condescending to me. I asked him why he thought that I couldn't afford the more expensive phones, which he let me know that he didn't think I could, and he said, "Well, you just sort of get to know which customers can buy and which ones can't, and I can tell that you can't afford it." I told him otherwise, and also that he was terribly mistaken and rude (and I was so well dressed that day!). I just went into that store reluctantly last week, to get help with a problem on my daughter's phone. I waited for about 40 minutes as everyone in the store that was there when I came in, and one couple came in just before me, and as all of us waited, with no one getting any attention at all, or help of any kind, I saw many sales people walking through, and quite a few times, going to the IPAD and tablet displays and playing on them, and even laughing and just simply having a good time. The salespeople continued to walk past, back and forth, with NONE of them offering help or even saying "I'll be with you shortly" or "Someone will be with you shortly," or anything like that, to any one of the customers there! I found this to be completely unacceptable behavior for salespeople to have. Of course, they all looked like they were early 20-ish. I can write a book on work ethics that the young generation have right now. Wow, it makes me wonder what the training is like with Verizon!! Are they training people to make these quick judgments on the appearance of customers? You just never really know how much a person has to spend. I couldn't stay there any longer, it was so ridiculous there, and the haughtiness of the salespeople as they walked by!! I have always noticed that attitude there. I went home and looked up their pay scales on the internet. Their top salaries for the top paid employee at the store is about 1/8 of our household income, so that didn't justify why they can treat me or anyone the way they do! It must be the fact that they dress so well and they must think that since they work in such a high tech kind of store, that they are 'oh, so good!' Give me a break!! I wanted to find a new cell phone provider because my old one wasn't reliable. When you walk in, there is a staff member who takes your name, the reason why you came and places you on the waitlist. While you wait you can look at phones, accessories, tablets, or the other displays they have. The staff members who helped me transfer my old account did an awesome job all around. They mentioned all the deals I got for becoming a new member with Verizon. The problem is the service afterwards. Just want to make it clear, the staff members were different when I came back on a different day to purchase a screen protector. It felt like their knowledge about the new phone I purchased (Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge) was zero. I purchased the screen protector from them and since they had to order it, it was shipped to my house. Came back wanting them to install it and they told me the person who only knows how to install it is on lunch break. Apparently that manager didn't want to be disturbed for like 5 min so they wanted me to wait 40 min until she finishes her break. From my experiences here at Verizon, get the service here for new activations but avoid everything else. If you catch someone on break, well you are screwed. read more

I was in the store last Wednesday. I have never had worse service from Verizon in the 15+ years we've been customers. I had the unfortunate luck of having to deal with Oddie, why didn't know what an obvious broken (burnt screen) looks like. From the beginning of the conversation until the point where I picked up my belongings and walked out he was rude, cocky and condescending. (Thankfully I drove to Galt where I was able to get my problem resolved.) The entire time I was trying to explain why I needed a new phone his bored rude attitude was to do a hard reset and wipe my phone clean. When I refused to do that knowing it would not fix it he told me it would be almost $500 for a new phone. Needless to say I walked out with him and his coworker staring at me. I drove to the Verizon dealer in Galt where I was treated with the proper respect, had an amazing young man named Joseph who to the time to look at the phone, clearly knew that it was broken, filed a claim with the insurance which I had a $149.00 deductible and had a replacement phone within 4 days. This place is a dump, waited 45 min to speak with a CSR. As you walk in, you get placed on a guest list!?!? Are you serious!?!? I pay an arm and a leg for my service, when I need customer support I get put on a guest list as if I'm some scrub waiting to get into a club!?!? The bouncer who signed me up in the guest list told me 20 min wait... 30 min later I walk up and ask how much longer and this clown has the audacity to tell me there are 2 more people ahead of me, not even apologizing for my wait. An incredibly frustrating and misleading customer service experience. My parents went to the store in May to upgrade their phones, and switched to the Verizon Edge agreement in lieu of a 2-yr contract. The Verizon Edge agreement is misrepresented as a "deal" in the first place (more details here - http://www.theverge.com/2013/7/18/4535068/verizons-edge-phone-upgrade-plan-same-bad-ripoff-as-att-next), but on top of that, my parents were told by a customer representative that as part of the deal, they would need to pay an upfront cost of nearly $400 that would enroll them in Edge for 2 phones. Upon some investigation, that cost did nothing towards paying for the Edge agreement or the phone. Instead, that cost was for a package of "essential" accessories (Bluetooth speaker, apple lightning car charger, other unnecessary things that are in no way essential), that my parents were told was necessary to purchase in order to enroll in the Edge agreement, when it was actually a non-mandatory package that is simply an add-on to Edge. Bottom line, the deal (again, I have to scoff at the idea of it being a deal in the first place) was grossly misrepresented and my parents paid an unnecessary $400 fee to participate in a free program. Upon speaking to the manager, Andre, the items in the accessories package were returned and refunded to my parents accordingly, and he handled the situation calmly and rationally. But none of this should have happened in the first place, and was a waste of the 1.5 hours needed to rectify the situation. read more

We always enjoy coming to this store because we feel they do offer the best service. Even with it being the holidays, the store was well staffed for the amount of people coming in when we went last week to check out the new Galaxy Nexus on its release date. However, the reason I'm giving 3 stars instead of 4 is because after demo'ing the Nexus, we opted for the iPhone 4S, and they didn't have them in stock :( We also think their accessories are marked up WAY too high, and we always find better deals ordering them online. 4 days later, our 16gb iPhones arrived to our house, and so did the cases and car chargers we ordered on Amazon. We didn't mind the wait, but it would have been nice to walk out with our phones that day. (The sales guy mentioned that all Verizon stores only had a handful of the much more expensive 64gb iPhones in stock...) boo Verizon. The people are pretty nice to you, but of couse they have to be cause they want to make a sale. I purchased the ally from them and wasn't very pleased at all with it so I went to return it hoping to get my money back. First they tried to get me to keep the phone, then they tried to sell me another one, when I told them I just want to return it the attitude of the guy that was helping me changed. He didn't even help me with my backup assistance on my old phone. He just activated it and said bye. The worse part about the whole thing is that they didn't even give me my money back, they said we can only credit your account, I paid 130for that stupid phone plus case and didn't get anything back. Never purchasing a phone from them again. I went to bestbuy and purchased my droid 2 (which verizon didn't even have in stock) and I didn't have to do a stupid mail in rebate they just take it off the price. I signed services 6 months ago with verizon wireless at Laguna store next to SDW store. Veronica is the rep help to open new services. She say to me that I can get discounts for working governor meant or state services. I tell her I work for department of corrections. She tell me send of my pay stuff. On next day, I went to and took a picture of my pay stuff and texted it to her. I also called and confirmed if she get it. She told me she did and she will take that for me. After 5 to 6 pass, I talked the customer rep and she told there no discount applied to my account from last months. I am pissed. I also paid my service but the suspend my services. I called and talked to one of rep. She told she will that for me. My phone should be working on next couple hours. On 1/1/2014, my boy friend the phone and found out is not working and I called customer services again. They are suck and just bs and not taking care of the issue. I have been a Verizon customer for over 10 years! For the last four years I have had a dedicated salse rep that is amazing! Vineeta is amazing! She always makes sure I get the best deals for the items that are right for my business account! She used to be a sales rep at the location in Natomas but recently moved to this Elk Grove location. My drive may be a bit longer but I wouldn't want to work with anyone but her. She is a true asset to Verizon and makes you feel so secure about your purchases. I am very surprised she is not a store manager.....she needs to be. She works great with customers and co-workers from what I have witnessed. If anyone is considering switching to Verizon please take a short trip to the Elk Grove Verizon location and ask for Vineeta. So.... We needed to visit a Verizon store to get credit for our old iPhone. The closest location was this store in Elk Grove... We weren't expecting to be treated great because of the reviews on this store- especially since we weren't 'buying' anything....but we were blown away by the awesome service we received from Aracely! She went out her way to make sure we got what we came for! She answered questions and even overheard us saying we needed to get some water when we finished so my partner could take her medication- and she offered to get her a drink, then went and got it for her! She did not pressure us in any way to purchase anything - just super friendly and great service! We have never been to this store nor met such a sweet sales person! I have had the opportunity to work with Andres, Solutions Manager at this location, and will only go to him for my wireless needs. Andres and his staff are attentive to their customer needs. The customer service here at this location as a first time customer with Verizon was amazing from start to finish! The store was very clean and everyone was so friendly! So I finally decided to make the change and switch from HORRIBLE Sprint to Verizon. I already knew all about the wonderful service yet I was a little worried that the pricing of the plans were going to be outrageous on top of having an iPhone, I was use to having UNLIMITED everything with Sprint, which was not the best when everywhere you go, you have zero service so I see why it was unlimited. I came into Verizon having an idea of what to expect as I did a little research, but not always do store match online prices. I joined my boyfriends plan and saw what would be the best way to go about a new plan as his expired so we had to make an upgrade with the plan anyways. Mike Carter the floor manager I believe, who greeted me when I arrived, knew my situation and told me that he would make sure one of his top customer service representatives would assist me with the best customer service. He introduced me to Rob, and from start to finish Rob took care of me and made sure I was confident in the switch and also with what plan would fit me best. He made sure to break things down to me and get the best for my buck! I was instantly put at ease, no pressure as all! I ended up being in the store a little longer that we all expected, due to having to transfer some things over to my laptop. Rob checked on me constantly and told me he wasn't ending his day till I was completely satisfied. He was so bubbly, kind, great personality, very easy going and very personable, very confident in his job and just was a so nice all the way around! I ended up walking out with a great plan, an awesome new phone and I HAVE SERVICE yay!!! I thank Mike Carter too for really going over the top and taking care me and making sure that the trust was built as I was afraid to make the switch. He was so sweet and such a great manager! Also his customers, while being in the store his assistance was needed in a few other places and I noticed that by the time he was done assisting, the customer was very happy with what he had done to help! The lady that talked to us was a complete lying asshole! It was some cute russian lady. We walked in, she smiled at us and asked if she could help us. I told her that we just bought phones, and we needed our contact information transfered from our old phones. She said.. "Are the phones already activated?' I said "Yes." She quickly said.. "oh, we don't have the machine to do that...." So then my dad says.. 'What if i would have bought the phones here?" She answeres by saying.. "Oh, we could do it before you activate it...." IS THAT NOT BS? If you DON'T HAVE THE MACHINE, how can you do it before the phones are activated? How are you going to tell me that you don't have that machine in a big ass store like that? B word just didn't want to help us because we didn't buy the damn phone from that store. On 8/12/13 I went Verizon Wireless in Elk Grove to purchase an iPhone 5. Of course it's 1st come 1st serve but they waited on 2 customers before me. Even one of the customer who they waited before me approached me and said you haven't been helped yet? I said no but it's not your fault it's the manager (Mike Carter) very poor customer service. Not sure if Mike Carter is his real name the clerk there hesitated when asked what his name was. Why tell all the customers who enter the store it will be only a few minutes wait? I waited for one hour and asked if they can waived the activation fee then the clerk had to asked the manager so more waiting. The clerk told me Mike will be right there so more waiting which she already knew the answer. Why does it matter who gave me the answer the manager or clerk? Then she finally tell me Mike is with another customer but he told me I can get 30% off on any accessories but can't waive the activation fee. It's not the money it's the principle behind it. Maybe it's an age or racist thing, I'm a young Asian men. So they waited on the older customers first. I had other wireless providers in the past Sprint, At&t, and T-Mobile but by far this Verizon Wireless Elk Grove location is the worst customer service ever.
