I went in today to purchase the iPhone 12 pro max for my fiancé. I was helped by Oddie. Most unprofessional asshole ever! I felt rushed! All my questions I had were replied with a question. He seemed really annoyed with me, up until Rebecca was next to him and said my brother was a manager at that store, is when his demeanor changed. I'm debating on returning the phone once I get it, just so I can purchase it from another Verizon store that appreciates my business. The entire process was painless and they were very happy and willing to help, despite that the process went beyond their closing time. I have been A Verizon customer for 25+ years. I was having issues with my new iPhone 12 Pro Max since I purchased it (at a different location on 2/2/21). I was having trouble activating my new phone and with the way it was functioning pretty much since I got it. After countless hours (20+) on the phone with Apple Care support, Verizon customer service, VZW Tier2 tech-support, their supervisors (all who tried to help me resolve my issue), it was determined that I needed to upgrade & exchange it for an iphone with greater gigabyte storage. I was told that because I was well within the "Worry Free Guarantee" return period, I should have no problem exchanging my device. Nothing could have been further from the truth, as I attempted to do so unsuccessfully, online, over the phone & even at a different location over a span of 10+ days. I finally decided to visit the Verizon store at 7405 Laguna Blvd in Elk Grove, CA, as the last and final attempt to resolve my issue. I was desperate & losing hope, since I was nearing the end of the WFG exchange period. Thankfully, I was fortunate enough to work with a manager by the name of Armando. By the time I met him, I was extremely frustrated! Despite my "less than chipper" demeanor , Armando remained very kind, friendly and professional! He listened to my dilemma with great patience and understanding. I could tell that he really wanted to find a way to help me. This meant A LOT to me, given all of the stress & trouble I had been through, over the past two weeks. To say that Armando went above and beyond to help me is an understatement. He put in a lot of time and energy, reaching out to another store manager, corporate, and customer care to help find a solution for my issue. In the end, I ended up being able to get a new phone that would better suit my needs. I forgot to mention that my husband and I have been Verizon customers since 1993 (when it was still called "Air Touch Cellular" :). We have stayed with VZW for over two decades primarily because of their superb & caring customer service. This entire ordeal had been so extremely frustrating that I was honestly considering leaving VZW over it. Armando definitely restored my faith not only in Verizon as a company, but more importantly in the extraordinary customer service that I have been accustomed to receiving for nearly 3 decades. I highly recommend visiting the Verizon store in Elk Grove, CA. I would have to concur with the negative reviews about the employees here. I had just finished dining at one of the restaurants in the shopping center and walked into this store just to browse. I'm a Verizon customer, and I wanted to look around the store for Christmas gift ideas for myself like an accessory for my new iPhone or iPad. An employee immediately and loudly asked how she could help. I asked if I could just browse and walked in as she said "yes" with a surprised look on her face. Then within minutes, as I was looking at and picking up some headphones, she left her group of employee friends and literally ran over to me yelling, "ma'am, m'am, let us know if you need anything." Why run toward me like that? And why so loudly? It was almost as though she thought I was going to steal something which is so offensive. I looked up at her, and all her other useless friends were staring over in my direction and grinning. It was weird and uncomfortable so I walked over to another employee up front to ask if they were closing soon to figure out whether they were in a hurry to get customers out. Turns out the store wasn't closing for another hour, and the employees here are just morons. Apparently, it's not ok to browse. There's a distinct line between engaging customers in a helpful manner and downright making them feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. I left without buying anything. I'll just go buy from the Apple Store where they actually let you browse in peace and don't make you feel like a criminal. Train your employees better. Actually, just train them. read more

Customer service at this location is more than HORRIBLE! I also work in public service so I know not all employees are bad, but with this particular guy that help me was horrible! Think his name is JOE, medium build Asian guy with tattoos after I confirmed it with another Verizon store in the area. Not sure how long he's been working for Verizon but he NEED major training in customer service 101! I don't think his supervisor remind him that customer service equal profit! It's customer like us that he's still employed. I've been a Verizon customer for over 10 years and never have I experienced anything like it! Plain RUDE AND POOR customer service! I know sometime we as employees may have our bad day at work, but don't take it out in customers. 2 weeks ago I ordered an iPhone 12 online thru customer service and requested to be pick up at this location. When I went in, from the start, this guy act like he's the Police Chief LOL. Ask for my ID, which I don't mind... but somehow he kept on radioing whoever he calling and talking like I'm a criminal! When he showed me the iPhone that I ordered, it was not the right one so I asked him to see if I can exchanged for the 128g instead of the 64g. He then said he can't do any refund or exchange in store and that I have to take the phone home and call customer service and I will need to deal with customer service as far as any exchange or refund goes. I'm not a Verizon employee, but I know that's not true, Coperate Verizon retail store can do refund or exchange in store, but I play along with it anyways and took the phone home. Long story short, I called customer service, filed a formal compliant for this location, and explained to them what had happened and indeed that was not part of their policy. Customer can do any exchange or refund in store, ESPECIALLY when the device was never open and with same day pick up! WILL NOT RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION FOR ANYONE. read more

I was thinking if I should upgrade my phone or not and then I was like ok I'm just going to treat myself and get an iPhone. I walked into this Verzion and was greeted by staff who place me on a waitlist. Then later I was asked by Staff Oddie what item I was looking for an I said I wanted to upgrade my iPhone 8 Plus then he points over there. I walked over and looked and I picked one. He then comes over and say the phones are here . I asked him what's the difference in price between the Pro Max and the 11 and he points you can look just right there. If I could read the small words it wouldn't be asked. Then I tell him I'll go with the 11. I explain to him on my Verizon account my trade in was $300 he then Proceed to tell me that on his in it said $277. As we go to upgrade the phone he doubles back and say oh wait the phone is actually worth $350 . I think I know how much my phone is worth since I've been waiting til June to upgrade it. After it was paided he said we are done, I said don't you help set up the phone he says no. I told him that's very odd because other stores and mangers do. His responds was " I'm not sure what other stores sunglasses are but we don't do that. He then says you can use the WiFi but from all the devices they run slow." Then I told him if he didn't help me I would ask one of the other staff to help. Then he proceed to assist moderately. The worst customer service by far. I went into this Verizon store and want to check out what they have on special because I want to upgrade my iPhone 8 Plus to Xs max. I worked with Laxcie (I guess this is how to spell her name) and she explained to me that I am qualify for the promotion that they have going on. It's the buy one get one half off on iPhone. By the way, this is happening back on April 25, 2019. The only requirement for this deal is to stay with Verizon for two more years. This is my business account and I have a total of 7 phone lines with them. Guess what, don't ever trust them, they will lie about their services and plans. I have specific that I don't want to change anything in my plan and I would like everything stay the same. They promised I will received some credits after first one or two bill and the bill should appear higher for the first month. I trusted so much on them and renewed all my lines with them and then I realized on my July statement that I am paying more than $516.00 for 7 lines and before I make the changes, my phone bill is only $55/line. Then I see the statement they charge me $20 additional for something they call "smartphone subsidize charge". This charge will be there for two years. So which mean the buy one iPhone and get the second one half off is actually I am paying for the full price for the second iPhone. That's $20x24months = $480 on top of what I pay already. How ridiculous!!!! I called the store manager, Armando. After I asked him about what it mean by "smartphone subsidized charge" he says it is a charge that will Verizon will charge you until you fulfill the 2 year contract. But the problem is, I was never been told by their sales representative and she have never heard of that when I called her to explain my problem. I tried to work with them and have them fix my bill and plan, but guess what, they say "nothing we can do and we can only file a request and it's up to Verizon to see if they can make the changes and offer me the credit." As today, I have called more than 5 times to Verizon Business service department and nothing have resolved and my bill for this month is $1086.. how did it go so high, I don't know, and I get tire of their services already. I am switching to AT &T today, I am losing $375x7 lines =$2625 for early termination fee and AT&T offer me a better prices for 7 lines and offer to share some of my early termination fee. I am so appreciate for what they done to me and I will never use Verizon any more. They charge you like crazy. And I am very disappointed on how this matter been resolved . Having a long term customer to pick up their sales representative's mistake is unacceptable. I have a business myself and I know everybody will make mistakes but once that happens, as a owner for the business, we need to help and resolve the problem. But this Verizon store will not do that so be careful and watch out on what they try to sell you!!!! Thank you for the reply back from the store manager. Just want to reply back to your statement. I've been to this location a few times now and I have always experienced great customer service from the workers. They always help with the problems we have with our phone and are able to answer any questions we have. The workers are also very informative when it comes to the accessories available for each phone and helped me compare similar items. I would like to thank Brian that greeted me upon my entrance of the store with a friendly smile, once he got my name and number, I sat down on the bench, within 6-7 min later, I was greeted by KACIE. KACIE has done a marvelous job assisting me with my phone issues that I've been having for such a long time. I feel that KACIE has gone way beyond her call of duties to spend this much time to answer my questions, educate me on how I can use my phone to better usage, she corrected several of the sittings on it, and write down the notes that I have asked her to do for me. Wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. KACIE is polite, friendly but professional, very helpful, very patience , and very knowledgeable with all of my phone concerns. I would defiantly recommend anyone that has questions or concerns about their phone service, is to go see her or any of the staff there. I am very impressed with this store. Thinking of switchingmy service from T-Mobile to Verizon. Called the store. Spoke to David. He was very helpful telling me all the promotions. Made an appointment for me same day. I showed up 15mins late and he was helping another customer. I was told that he would help me next. My husband had to leave and could not stay long. After 15mins of waiting, I approached another customer service personnel and asked tor me seen right away, if not by David by another person. They end up sending someone over to David to help closing out the other customers so David could help me. David was very patient answering our questions even tho they were repeatitive at times. Also I was abrupt and interrupted him at times. But he was very sweet and patient with us the whole time. I really appreciate all the help I got from him and the store today. I was really stress because my husband was giving me attitude for having to do this last minute. My sister was also mad at me for doing this last minute. This review is not based solely on this store, but the customer service in general. Well, let's say a lil' bit of a half n half. As soon as I walked into the store, they are like vultures, once they heard that I just wanted to add my employee discount to my acct, they all flocked to their corners. ANYWAY, I came in to apply my employee discount this past April. I gave them my badge but they needed my most recent paycheck stub, which I so diligently brought in the VERY NEXT DAY. Now, before I left the store they reminded me that it may take up to 2 billing cycles before my discount takes in effect. Cool.. Whatever.... As long as it is added. It is now August.. After many different phone calls to customer service and their mamas, no one seems to know what is going on. "I will look into this..", "Oh, I sent a message regarding your discount to the supervisor that handles this, he will contact you..", "I will give you a call within 48 hrs.." BLAHH! Seriously people?!? "It was added but taken off..." Now, its, "..I don't see a discount added to the account at all." How the HAILLLLLLL!!! Fully frustrated and about to throw my phone against the wall.. (because that would really help the situation right? :) lol) Disappointed and pissed, I was on the phone with them for 30 mins trying to rectify the situation... I've been so nice and patient because I know people make mistakes, so after a very heated speech, BAM!!! Homegirl puts in a 25% discount onto my acct. (for now) and submits a form to have the discount applied.. but what about the past 2 months payment? Nothing they can do about it they say... Fawk ap! Now was this the employee's fault? Did he not submit my forms? Did that copy of my paycheck stub just sit in the tray, unfaxed to the proper people? Ahh who knows.. Been with Verizon Wireless since their GTE days. I would say that they are a bit expensive for wireless service but I think it is well worth it. I haven't got any major problems with their service. We came here to change carriers due to our current carrier not working very well in our new neighborhood. When we walked in we were greeted with no issues, despite not having masks on (mask requirement was lifted by the CDC and by the state, so mask requirement was by the store only). We browsed the phones for a few minutes, and were not the only people in the store without masks. When the woman assigned to assist us came up, she commented about our needing to wear masks (masks only prevent the spread if you actually have the virus, which the vaccine is supposed to prevent you from getting, right?) We had been in the store over ten minutes by then, with no one (including the greeter) making any mention of our needing to have masks on...it was only when it came time to actually help us that any issues arose about our not having masks on. We decided that Verizon would not be the company for us at that moment. We are not sheeple, nor do we care to do business with those who coward to unrealistic fears. read more

I waited with my infant for over 3 hours in the store, only to be told that I had to go to the apple store to fix our loss of Bluetooth ability. The verizon rep didn't ask how we were doing, nor offer us a seat. He played on his phone while on hold for over 30min for Verizon service. I had verizon customer survey call while I was still in the store waiting! And I couldn't do the survey because it was all audible voice prompted, no number options. No privacy, not possible with a screaming, tired baby. We will never return a third time. We gave them a second chance after previous horrific service. Went in to get our new iPhone 7 2ea turned on and set up. The guy helping me was bothered oozed disappointment I wasn't buying anything and he had to help get the 2 phones I purchased set up. Geez really, he complained the whole time and anytime I asked him a question what came out of us mouth was lies, not even a need to lie? Also, he kept looking and answering my questions at my 13yo daughter? Weird he wouldn't look at me? Could be cause every answer was bull and he just was bothered, and it was so awkward I almost left in the middle of it all. Left and went to another counter and asked if they could help me put on the glass screen covers, again they were annoyed ? What in the world Verizon!!!??? I just spent big $$ on 2 7 's pluses. I went in on the 30th of September to sign up for a pre-paid phone service on my Galaxy S5 that I already owned. I was told at a different location that I could sign up for the $15 a month unlimited talk and text service, but I was told by the sales rep at this location that I couldn't do that on a smart phone and that I needed to pay, at the minimum, $45 for a 2GB plan. I really didn't want to pay more than I was quoted at a different location, but he told me he was certain that this was the absolute cheapest deal they had in store, as I made it perfectly clear that I was looking for the least expensive plan. I asked him if that qualified for the $45 a month 2GB plan with an extra 1 GB if I enrolled in autopay, which again, this sales rep had no idea they were running. I had to walk him across the store and show him the box with the promo on it in order for him to even acknowledge it existed. I would think someone whos only job it is is to understand the plans he offers comprehensively would know about such a plan, but I guess he missed that part of his training day. He says there's no charge for the SIM card but I had to pay a $35 activation fee, I agreed and he set up my autopay. He only asked me what date I wanted it scheduled on and quietly completed the order on his iPad. Today, I get a text message saying that I was charged $75 for my autopay, and that it would again charge me another $75 on the 2nd of next month. Ummm, what? I was NEVER told or even ASKED how much I wanted to autopay. Obviously, I would only want to pay the $45 a month that would cover my entire phone bill, but my sales rep thought it was a good idea to charge a monthly balance of $75 with autopay. Whether or not this was gross negligence or just a sneaky underhanded tactic by the salesman I don't know, but either way it's completely unacceptable. When I go into a business I expect the people of that business to explain what they're doing with my account, and how it'll play out in the future in terms of billing and service plan limits. I checked My Verizon account and it also says my Data Limit is set at 2GB! I'm going to have to call in tomorrow to see if the salesman actually did honor their promotion and it's simply not listed correctly online, or whether or not he is trying to play me for a fool and expected me not to notice. At any rate, I'm pissed. If there is some charge that DID require the extra $30 that was tacked onto my monthly bill without my knowledge, then I'm going to demand they refund me every cent they charged me and I'm moving over to a different carrier. Honestly, I realize that I can get better deals at other service providers, but my family has been with Verizon for the last 16 years. If customer service isn't a priority, then I have absolutely no reason to continue my business with Verizon. In case anyone is wondering, the receipt that I received said my sales rep was Springty-Eolka, Register 51. Not sure if that helps anyone, but keep an eye out for this guy and what he's doing with your account! read more

My experience with this location has been horrible. I went in to this location In May to trade in my phone and upgrade and was assisted by Joel. I was told how much my payments were going to be for the first 3 months. Then after the first 3 months the bill was going to go down by $10. Furthermore, the credit I was going to received on my account never appeared. I visited this Verizon asking about my bill and credit 3 times. Twice I was told the credit would appear in the following billing cycle, but in the 3rd visit they realized there was a mistake in how things got submitted leading to the promotion not being applied. The associate that discovers this issue had Joel assist with resolving the problem when the request she submitted got rejected. Joel contacted me and assured me that everything had been resolved and that I would see a credit on my account for what I had overpaid. Today I got my bill and it's $35 more than it usually was. Not sure where the credit went and now I'm stuck with a larger bill due January. If this problem isn't resolved ASAP, I will be taking my business elsewhere. read more

Not sure why this store has such a terrible rating. I went there twice to upgrade two of the phones on our plan and had a pleasant experience both times. The first time we were helped by Kenny who spent a good part of an hour searching for options for my mom's upgrade to her first smart phone. She is of the very picky, indecisive sort and Kenny was extremely patient. Showing her all the different options, trying to help us get what we want and no necessarily being super pushy about selling us more expensive products. He also helped me locate one of the last 32 gb 5s phones in the area. I thought he was very patient and helpful. The second time we came to the store, we were helped by Kevin who was equally kind and patient. In addition, he was also extremely efficient and quick about getting everything done. He even helped my mom with her Day One app on her new Iphone. I was very impressed by the service, efficiency, and customer service. The only cons I guess was that there were some hidden fees included in the upgrade that aren't always apparent. Even though my mom got a "free" 5c, taxes and upgrade fees still added up to $67 (not that bad, but felt kind of like a bait and switch). Also, by upgraded from a non-smart phone to a smart-phone she now has to pay an additional $10/month, which was also not disclosed until we were activating the phone. Had we been told from the beginning, we may have still upgraded her phone, but we would have felt better about it. read more

I've been to the store in the past and was always impress, but today was HORRIBLE. I went in cuz my samsung phone keeps powering off whenever I wish to check my text. The professionally dressed manager was the greeter but lack the professional demeanor. I actually felt bad for her cuz she appeared like she did not like what she was doing or otherwise. After signing in, within 5 minutes, the tech staff guy came and checked out my phone. He said my phone is still under warranty cuz it hasn't been a year since I had it. he even added that if I went to the other part of tech dept within the store directly, I would be charged $99 cuz I have to trouble shoot my phone with one of the floor tech first before I can head to the other dept. Before he did anything, he said all he needed to do is back it up/reboot it/reprogram my phone. He did warn me my text will be lost, but my contacts, media, and calendar will still be stored. Next, he checked my phone once again and noticed I didn't have my memory card in it and I replied I never had one in there. Without thinking, he reprogrammed my phone and attempts to back up my phone and then realized he cannot retrieve my stuff. Then he tries to turn it around and said that he "thought" I said I have the memory card at home. So, I lost everything, but I can view my text again without my phone automatically powering off. I was furious and left the building. In the end, my perception is their standard of service became less than average and their tech support were poorly trained without the proper protocol and analytical thinking. They lost my confidence in their service, technicality, and product knowledge. Good luck Verizon, if you continue to have this kind of employees. read more

I came in on a Tuesday night to see if I can get an accessory swapped out on my phone under warranty. There were three people ahead of me which ended up taking 15 minutes just for the customer service representative who did help me to say that he will not replace the item. It seems foolish to have a check in guy standing around instead of providing customer service. It also seems foolish to have that same check-in guy standing around without knowing the information because he could have just told me that the screen would not have been replaced and I would not have had to wait that 15 minutes. I gave it two stars instead of one because when the agent finally did help me he was very knowledgeable. read more

15 year Verizon customer, all with this store. Unfortunately my last visit was horrible. High pressure sales with use of gimmicks to sell you on products. Followed up with store manager and she was very condescending with little regard for customer and the issues. Very clear, goal is to hit their #'s at all cost. Does Verizon Corporate not see the rating of this Laguna store? I will be contacting them. I drove over to the Delta Shores Verizon store after my experience, and they were great! Integrity and professionalism, which confirmed my thoughts that something is rotten at the Laguna Store. read more
