So clumsy me. I dropped my cell phone & cracked it so badly it was beyond repair. I trudge in to see what my options were as far as getting a much needed, functional replacement. I hate to pay out, but sometimes you just have to bite the bullet & move on, right? Benny was the associate who drew my patronage on this evening. He probably gets a zillion customers like me who don't know what their options are & ask just as many questions. Yet Benny was extremely helpful & equally as knowledgeable about my options. He carefully listened to me explaining what my needs were & very patiently told me what my options were. He spelled it all out & let me decide. After a serious round of extra questions I had made my decision to break down & get a new phone. Completely my decision. Little dud I know at the time that I was taking him past closing time. He never complained about it & I was never made to feel rushed at all. As it turns out I needed to come back at store opening the next day because I am obviously a novice when it comes to getting my phone started. Not only was he there at opening that next day. But he eagerly got the whole situation taken care of, including a (badly needed) new phone case & screen protector. I am amazed by how knowledgeable & patient he was with me when many would probably dread taking care of me. AC has a terrific personality and dealt with our VERY COMPLEX situation in a professional manner ! Patience is a virtue and let me tell you that ALL of us had to be patient the other night as we ended up closing the store together . To make a long story short, AC is our new family friend , and we will refer as many of our friends and family to him so that they can switch over to VERIZON just as we did. Came in on Saturday in hopes of getting my "crackberry'' fixed I was wrong! Again Customer Service at an actual VZ store is more like expect no customer service, I was able to finally after so many email to VZ get my state employee discount so this store gets 3 stars for actually helping me with that. Upon arrival you are greeted by sales people and then your entered into a kiosk with your specific need. Service is all about sales at every Verizon which makes me totally put off going to Verizon for that specific reason. There is no customer service or help, rather sales people trying to lock you into another 2 year marriage you all ready want out from in the first 6 months. JC was very helpful in helping me upgrade my phone, but that day I had loads of will power and did not give in to the sales people sugar coating a renewal. ***This store sucks!*** I'm a Verizon customer and went here this morning to transfer my contacts from my old Note4 to my Note8. Store opens at 10am and I got there at 10:03am. Just two other customers in store and four employees. I was helped, no greeted, by an Asian girl. I told her if she can help me transfer my contact list. She tells me that they don't have the machine to do it and that I was able to do it myself. I looked at her and told her I've tried, that's why I'm here. She hands me a piece of paper and tells me to follow the instructions. Again, I tried to follow instructions but it was same as in YouTube. I ended up going to BestBuy, next door. I was immediately helped by them. Didn't even asked me where I got my phone. He just told me that he'll take care of it and without a "machine". Took him like 3 minutes, using the WiFi and handed me back the phone. I recommend going to BestBuy and getting Verizon service. Hopefully they close down this useless store during Verizon downsizing. read more

She was amazing - friendly, kind, ultra patient, and had a good sense of humor. Since we were getting one of the special promotions, and did it online, she researched it to make sure we had followed all steps! Because of her I qualified for an educator discount. Went to the Fairfield store because it was close to work. What a mistake. From now on I will only go and recommend the Vacaville store. The person who helped me seemed to not like her job and probably wished she was anywhere else. Customer Service was terrible. She made me feel like it didn't matter if I purchased anything or not. She answered my questions bluntly and barely looked at me and definitely did not smile. When I left the store, I was actually considering going with another provider, but decided to stop at the Vacaville store before heading home. Very glad I did. Horrible experience. Phone fell in pool. Went to order replacement. Claim was taking forever on phone so i decided to upgrade to iPhone 8. Paid off old phone and then i got a text saying i was next at 6:02. I was about to go to asian girl who just finished when she told a female customer who was there after me that she would take her next. I waited 1/2 hr and meantime everybody else was getting tended to and i was ignored. Finally i got hold of the manager and another 1/2 hour later i finally got my phone! On a recent trip to SF, I had the unfortunate luck of not only having my car broken in to, but my smartphone taken as well. Apparently the thief knew me EXTREMELY well because they went straight for the lifeblood of social existence. After a week of going phone-less, I wandered into this Verizon trembling and experiencing symptoms of Social Network withdrawal. I initially came in just to report my phone stolen and scope out possible replacements but somehow I walked out with a brand new smartphone complete with case! Rochelle listened to my sob story and within 5 minutes had an In-store Phone Replacement approved by her manager so that I wouldn't have to wait till after Labor Day for my replacement. Talk about going above and beyond! Verizon employees have always impressed me with their Customer Service and their willingness to put the customer first. I came to I bet store with 10 minutes to spare to buy a Hotspot since I do much of my work for my job on the road and when I was approached by one of the employees she refused to sell me one and told me I had to make an appointment to come in and get one even though I mentioned I really need one for work and I just need to buy it and that's it and she absolutely refused!! Friendly staff....Able to answer questions without fluff, or selling me something else. They always try to give a discount on accessories whenever they can. The great thing about it is they don't even know me. That is what I call good customer service. Although I can't remember their names now, most of the staff were extremely helpful, and honest. Went to Verizon today as my husband and I were interested in switching to them from T-Mobile. As soon as we walked in the door we were greeted and asked how they could help us. We told the woman what we wanted and she promptly got someone that could help. This is where the good experience ended. When the girl came to help we felt like we were talking to a car salesperson. We just couldn't get a straight answer. My husband outlined exactly what plans and phones we wanted and asked how much it would be and she just talked in circles discussing discounts and data and blah blah. She finally said she would write it all down so we could see it and in the end it was almost $170 pre tax which was more than we are paying with T-Mobile and probably why she was talking in circles. She also said we could not use our existing iPhone 5s' that are just about a year old but that we could use them as trade ins for $200 each. Um, I guess I was supposed to be happy about turning in my perfectly good phone for 1/3 what I paid for it just to buy the exact same phones from them for $550. This is especially less exciting when I check eBay and see I could sell my iPhone myself for at least $275. In the end with all the costs it just didn't make sense to switch and we left sans new phones or plans. My husband immediately commented on how he hates those places and always feels like he's at a used car lot. Sadly, I have to agree. I am giving them 2 stars because the first girl to ask if she could help was friendly and they were fast about getting someone for us. read more

1 went here on 9/21 because of an issue porting my #. Angela was beyond professional and very helpful and was able to get the issue corrected. Hoverer it was her fellow co-workers that cause me to give a low rating and never return to that store. My 3 year old child was with me. At one point let me know the bathroom was needed. l was told to take the child next door. l had to leave the store and my phone to handle buishess , Once we returned Rachel asked if I had a blonde dog with me. l said no my daughter was playing with my keys. she laughed and said oh sorry. I thoughtit was a small dog because of the jingling sound.Two other decided it was appropriate to discuss & attempt to pluck ones stray facial hair with customers in the store. l will never reccomend anyone to this store. Don't switch to verizon, they intend to exhaust you with endless phone trees, 85 minutes on hold four times in a month and move you from department to department with zero results. She broke down the costs with clear explanations as to the what's and whys in our service plans and taxes due today. Jennifer was patient with us as we were undecided in selecting other options and plans for other devices we had to choose from and transfer. When we finally decided she made it a smooth transition by transferring our contacts and putting our minds at ease by erasing info from our current device that we traded in for that extra discount. Jennifer went beyond her call of duty to help transfer a few of my videos and photos that were not transferred prior to my visit. Thanks for the excellent customer service. They don't have enough staff, so wait-times are longer and slow. The tools they have (computers) are slow and crash - rebooting causes long wait times. The staff are friendly enough - but you feel their frustration. This is systemic issue - get it together, Verizon - you got too big too quick. read more

I have had many other phone companies in this life so far BUT, the customer service and professionalism you receive at Verizon Wireless is unsurpassed by any other contender. Walked in was placed in line by time of arrival and shown some new devices and accessories until it was my turn to be helped. When I was called the associate (Matt) greeted me politely as he asked about my warranty claim. Verifying my issue with my Droid Bionic he walked my wife and myself over to the counter where he took care of the warranty issue. During our conversation i gave him praise of the products and services i personally have received from this local store. Casually making a joke about my case which the kickstand had broken off of, Matt took look at and my account and stated that he could cover that for me as well.... I was shocked and relived. Besides the pleasant conversation I made out like a bandit! As long as Verizon continues to hire people like Matt and keeps delivering such great service to my phone i will never be looking for a new carrier. P.S . I needed to change account which would of took 5 min. Walking in an employee by name of Mercedes a specialist so her name tag said asked what I was coming in for. When she found out it wasn't for a new account she didn't want to help me and directed me to call *611 instead. I said well I'm here and would like to receive help at this time instead having to leave and wait on hold. I asked if she had an appointment right now. She said no. So I said so you can help me. She rudely said No I'm watching the door. Watching the door for what??? It was obvious she was not wanting to customer service or help anyone. Because of this horrible customer service, bad wifi, and long wait times to talk with Verizon *611 and the Verizon employees who refuse to help you as Ms Mercedes. I will be canceling my Verizon account and going to another company with better customer service as my father is as well. Verizon you are loosing good customers because of bad customer service, pay attention. I love this Verizon store and the manager Tyler is awesome. Not only did he give me all the information that I needed over the phone but he also put aside the two phones I wanted. When I went in everything was exactly like he said it would be which if you know phone companies they tend to say anything to get you in. Got the two phones I wanted in a timely manner and even when I came back the next day to return the case I didn't like me took good care of me. Even though his employee kind of gave me a hard time about it he made it right for me. I told all my friends and family about the service and they all know to ask for Tyler. I've been to a couple different Verizon locations. I've had poor experiences here before but this day was different. I was helped by a young lady named Angela. She was friendly, very knowledgeable and professional. I didn't feel pressured like I did before or even when I went to other Verizon stores. I probably spent more than what I initially wanted but I know that it was worth it. I'm not very tech oriented but she set up all my Bluetooth accessories for me on my new phone and tablet. She even showed me how to connect it to other things. I am so grateful because I didn't really need to do anything. All of my contacts and apps were already transferred over. It was awesome. I usually have one of my friends to help me do it all. I was very pleased with Angela and her professionalism and service. Her manager, Lailoni, spoke with me afterwards and thanked me for being a valued and loyal customer. I've never had a manager come up to me before. It was different but in a good way. She even gave me her cell phone number and email just in case I had any other questions. I was surprised! That has never happened. I am definitely recommending this store. My experience here has redeemed itself from past visits. There are new people and new management. It is definitely doing things different and other stores should follow. read more

Zero stars. So I got my cellphone from these guys in Feb 2013, and got no bills for three months. I call them on June 21 2013 to see why no bills and find out they had my right street address but the salesman had put down the wrong city, so I never got any bills. They corrected the address and sent me a bill for $36 for which I sent them a check, which was posted by them July 1. Now recently I find out they put a "collection paid" on my credit report saying I took over 30 days from the time they corrected my address to the time I paid. Well June 21 to July 1 is not 30 days, and in any case I didn't get their corrected bill until a few days after June 21, then sent in a check the same day. The unpleasant person I spoke to supposedly checked with her supervisor and they both said too bad for me. Now they refuse to correct the credit report because "it was over 30 days until I paid". and it will stay on the report 7 years.. I could have written a dispute on the credit report but we all know they just ignore that. So five minutes later I call again unwilling to be screwed for something that is their fault, and get someone else. She told me no problem, and would have it removed at once. I checked my credit report a few days later and indeed the comment was gone. It goes to show, if you don't get the response you need from one person, just hang up and get someone else. But Verizon should fire that first person (which of course they won't. read more

He gave one-word answers to all of our questions. He was sick, so he was sniffling every 3 seconds while assisting us (gross!). I upgraded my phone with him, but definitely did not want to give him any sort of commission for accessories, so we decided to come back and give it to someone else. 5-star experience goes to Alvaro. I'm completely sold on Verizon phone service and, this location and the staff at this location are the epitome of why. I've had Verizon wireless for years and loved it. My wife needed an upgrade and, while I often take care of such things online, chose to stop by the store and let her touch and feel. The staff - all of them - were freindly and curteous and helpfull. They offered their thoughts on the best phones and plans for my wife's and our needs. They looked up severl options and pricing for us to be sure. We recently moved and have been dealing with AT&T for land line and U-Verse DSL. There is no comparison. Verizon programs are simply better and their helpfull staff at this location, as well as the one in Vallejo, well get you the plan that works best for you and follow it up as needed to ensure your satisfaction. They even offer free training, which can be a marriage saver compared to trying to show your spouse how to use their new smart phone. :-) We walked in prepared to accept the free, upgrade Motorola Razor M and sign up for two more years of service at the 900 min/month plan as, we no longer had a land line phone. We walked out two hours later with a fully equipped, iPhone 5, with all information transferred from and old, Motorola Razor flip phone, a Verizon Home Connect unit, our old landline number ported to our Home Connect (AT&T told us we couldn't do this!) our old rates on the 450 min/month plan and, 2 GB month data plus my wife scheduled for training that weekend. Yes, we spent $300 we hadn't planned on and, we could have purchased the case, stylus, etc. for half of the Verizon price at Target or online, it was worth paying their price, less a 30% discount, just to get it all in one place and have the staff help my wife install and use it all. In the meantime, we're still having issues with AT&T customer service and I'm driving around with a cheap assed (802.11g not n for crying out loud!), 2Wire VDSL modem in my trunk that the AT&T store can't take back without a return authorization and I've got AT&T online and telephone CS (India calling) telling me that all I have to do to receive credit for the duplicate modem is put my account number on it and drop it off at the local AT&T store. If I hadn't already committed to AT&T's 2 year U-Verse HS DSL plan, you can bet I'd pay the higher price for a similar Verizon plan with a wireless broadband modem! Verizon is a winner. The Fairfield and Vallejo stores are the epitome of good service. read more

We got a new smartphone about 3 months ago and it would not charge anymore. We went to this Verizon store and they mailed us a new one. Great. We took the new phone to the store so it could be activated, etc....No problem, however, they would not take back the old phone that broke. John gave us an attitude and told us we had to mail it back via UPS and it was our responsibility to find the nearest UPS. No explanation was given as to why we could not give up our old cell phone since we were there already. It doesnt make any sense. Bottom line: Cant wait for the contract to expire so we can change to someone else. read more
