When I broke the screen on my cell phone, I was dreading the hundreds of dollars and hours of tedious parlaying with Verizon reps it would require to get back in service. Not so! This time it was easy! Thanks to Valerie, a beautiful and talented employee at this Verizon store, I was back in service with the most barebones phone and wireless plan possible in a matter of minutes. She didn't try to sell me some hifalutin phone with newfangled features I would never use, but instead recommended a basic, functional phone that was perfect for me. Then she simply transferred my account and phone number to this new phone, and before I knew it I was out the door and back in communication with the world. I'm not sure this is for everyone, but if you're "old school" like me and only use your phone for calling and texting, ask for Valerie. She'll hook you up with the basics and get you on your way. read more

I see why this business has only 2.5 stars. I don't usually leave reviews. But I have just spent four hours of my day trying to get a phone and a hotspot. The young man that helped me was very sweet, but oh my God, the service the system everything at Verizon simply sucks. After I've been there for three hours I asked the manager to help the young man with the service issue. For some reason the system did not charge me for the phone. It kept trying to add a new line, instead of a new phone. Probably just a glitch. But it took this young man about an hour to 90 minutes to figure it out. The female manager of the store did not seem concerned at all she tried to help him but didn't follow it through didn't see what was going on and didn't fix the issue. She really left him on his own to deal with me. Whenever I asked her a question, because he was in the back, she didn't even look me in the face, and halfway responded. She said she would check, but she never came back and told me what was going on. It was like I was really seriously bothering her, but I'm about to buy a freaking new phone and I've been there for three hours. She should've been able to respond or figure out what was going on and talk to me about it. Absolutely nothing. This woman absolutely did not have any customer service or compassion for me sitting in that store all freaking day (exaggeration,but Damn)!!! After three tries the system finally kicked in. But it took about an hour to figure out how to do that. No one told me what was going on until I got frustrated. The manager never looked me in the face. She would continue to help other people and never actually let me know what was going on with my situation. Where is the fracking customer service? Or really trying to help people. I did see her help everyone else in the store just not me. Now the hotspot I purchased was at another store. I had to go to the Inglewood store to pick it up. So after 4 hours in the Hawthorne store I had to drive to the Inglewood store. I ask the young man what time they closed and to hurry up. He told me they closed at 8. Well no, when I got there at 7:15, they were closed. Verizon you guys suck! This young man's issue, was that he wasn't that he gave bad service, but he wasn't trained well enough and didn't have the support to take care of the problem quickly. Hence I'm waiting around for hours. So now I have to come back tomorrow to get the hotspot. FRACK!!!! read more

I've been coming to this location since 95. They have always helped me out. I have switched carriers some time ago but i still bring family and friends who have Verizon here. My last trip here my girlfriend had cracked the screen on the phone she jus replaced 3mo prior. She ended up getting an updated version of the one she had. It's very similar in its functions but it has a better glass screen. Well pretty much unbreakable. Our service member Julio (shot out) was very cool and took care of us. Didn't have a attitude nor rush us nor even be rude like some people in retail are. He was very professional and took care of us and the upgrade on the line. He told us what to do about transferring the stuff from the old phone to the new phone. We only had a small problem transferring the stuff so the next day we went and he did it for us. Thanks again Julio!!! If you have a problem with your phone or service and need it fixed, go to this location. Hopefully you great service like we did. 2 1/2 Stars (rounded down) I knew I was at a Vz store when I saw the security guard up front. The experience is usually so bad that they have to put security there as a safety measure. The wait was longer than it should have been, but when it was finally my turn, things went smoothly. Diane/Diana and a new employee that was shadowing her helped me return the POS Droid that I got a few weeks ago. I've been to this Verizon store a few times, and their customer service isn't great and the wait times are the worst. Came in at 7pm and was told the wait would be 45 minutes. Ended up waiting over an hour and a half before deciding to walk out as the associate decided to help a few other parties before me, even though the security guard told them I had come in much earlier. I usually have had good experience at this store until high job rotation took its toll. The guy at the VZ store almost gave me a heart attack when he could not restore my contact list from Backup Assistance. There was an issue with my phone and the remedy was to do a phone reset. By doing so he effectively wiped out my contact list, text pages, notes and so on. When time to restore my contact list from Backup Assistance his associate said sorry but I only have one number to synch up and there is no way of undoing the phone reset. I told him that I have hundreds of contacts and he said to go over the phone bills to retrieve the numbers. I went home and went online to find out that he somehow moved all of my contacts into the trash. I was able to undo the deletion and restored everything back to my phone. Lesson for all of the Non-Smart phone users like me is to export your contacts and save them to your personal computer before something bad happen. read more

I hate to write this but because it should not be but I have given up on coming to this location all together. I have gone in time and time and time again and been greeted w/eternal wait times, staff that at times are less than pleasant, if not ambivalent and nonchalant, and EVERY transaction taking a minimum of 30 minutes... It's insane. I've gone there to make purchases, do returns, or even just make an inquiry and each time the service is atrocious to say the least. I once went in on the morning of a weekday when it should have been slow, there were two reps helping customers, but about 7 at monitors, looking at God knows what, walking back and forth, but assisting no one. I waited a half hour and still never made the return, was not greeted beyond when I walked in the door, never anything like 'I'm sorry for the wait', 'we're short staffed today', someone will be right w/you', or anything... Needless to say I walked out. Wen another time to make yet another return, they refused to accept the device since it was purchased on line, of course I left, went to a store in a neighboring city, they accepted the return and refunded my money in less than 15 minutes - I have been going to that store ever since. Bottom line - I avoid this store like the plague! read more

I had to find a Verizon store soon, the one that I got started with in Torrance was closed, so I found this one. I saw some of the reviews and was a little nervous about going there since I had so many questions. I am up for a renew and I needed information on what they thought the best phone would be, battery life, camera, etc. Well I must say that the customer service here was really good and the person that waited on me knew a lot about my concerns. He answered all of my questions and even suggested a better plan, a plan that I knew nothing about. He helped me to make a decision on my new phone (I think his information was very helpful, I took the month to month payment with no contract, however you have to buy your phone, but you can keep the same phone number) Over all I think this is a good store with lots of accessories and good customer service and the wait was not that long. I felt a recent & positive comment was needed for this Verizon store (one of Verizon corporate retail locations). I had a very positive experience here last week. I came in to resolve a billing error and discuss a new phone. The store manager, Abel, handled my issues and questions in a professional and expedited manner. I left with proper resolution to my billing error and a new phone. My recent experience was far better than what I had approx. 2 years ago at the Marina Del Rey location. NOTE: Customers need to understand these stores get very busy and waiting will be just part of the process. Learn to ask questions about fees, activation, etc. and you won't be left feeling so negative toward this location. read more

Verizon Customer's "Best Store" --- My "go to" Verizon store if I have to change, add, or delete anything from my Verizon account. The extra gas miles are worth it. They have the most knowledgeable staff. They also have a variety of items. They also have a spacious layout with the different brands displayed with appeal. Juan has been my favorite person to help me so far. He explained many of my questions. He was very genuine, not exaggerated like many sales people can be nauseatingly over the top with comments on devices as well as accessories. He treated me with respect and did not talk down to me. They had no need to as I had been a customer for decades. Also they enrolled me in their mobile phone protection service without my permission. The man that sold me the new phone looked at my old phone and said I will give you $80.00 for this phone if you buy a new phone today. I told him I couldn't give him the old phone on that day because I needed to back up everything on the old phone. He gave me his card and said no problem as long as you return the phone within 7 days I will make sure you receive an $80.00 credit. Geoff should be fired! He is incredibly rude and unprofessional. He may be a manager, but he has no customer service ability. Geoff said I had to wait 10-15 minutes. That wasn't the problem. I came to buy a phone and a plan. More than his words, it was Geoff's tone that was rude and made me walk out! He said I, the customer, was arguing with him. Sandra, another manager, and Christopher, a sales rep, tried to get me to stay. Verizon, ATT and the rest have the same products. What makes each company different is their customer service. This store has many manager. I was told by Sandra that she had received on managerial training. Being a star sales person that gets you in the Winner's Circle may not make you a great manager. Managers need to know how to talk to customers, how to answer questions, and foremost, they need to be professional. Why can each Verizon store decide if an item is still on sale or not? While speaking with 800-number customer service representative, she told that each store decides how long to keep a phone on sale for. read more

Is it possible to give zero stars? I feel as though this one star is way too generous! Basically this place is the worst. I looked up the yelp reviews while getting horrible customer service but should have checked prior. I walked in on Saturday interested in learning about changing my plan. As soon as I walked in the store I got the vibe that no one really cared. The staff were gossiping and chatting in the back, finally one guy assisted me. His name was Jorge and was the ABSOLUTE WORST. Smug attitude, cocky, rude, and pushy. He kept pushing me to go a route I clearly didn't want to go. Jorge did you miss the "customer's always right lesson" in customer service 101? He literally would scoff and laugh. It was ridiculous. I was waiting for Ashton Kutcher to pop out and tell me I was on punkd but he never came. I ended up speaking to the manager who was a little bit better but still sucked. The whole time while speaking to the manager Jorge gossiped with some more horrid coworkers snickered and gossiped in the back like some children on the schoolyard. Never coming back. "whoa, where da the party at?" was my first thought upon entering this verizon store. loud edm music was blaring, kids and people were shuffling about (not literally dance shuffling mind you).. basically chaos is pretty much my first impression of this place. thankfully, i didn't have to wait long to be serviced. i told the verizon rep. helping me that i wanted to switch plans from my previous carrier to them and wanted info. on phones/plans/the works. the rep. was eager beaver helpful but half the info. he was telling me i couldn't hear because of the loud music pulsating thruout the store (i'm actually an edm aficionado but it sounded like guetta/tiesto/hardwell's set on a really bad day). going against my instincts, i went ahead and told the rep. i wanted to switch over. even tho. he was helpful and had a good attitude, he didn't have much knowledge on the products/add. services verizon had to offer.. everything i asked him he had to run to the back room to ask somebody. having been in the cust. serv. industry before i let it go.. maybe he's training? while he's processing my transaction, he informs me that due to certain security measures regarding my soc. security #, he had to contact another department the next day to clear my transaction. i told him i'd be fine with that and he tells me that he'd call me noontime next day to give me status.. next day approaches and i don't hear from him.. i wait until late afternoon and call him myself. turns out some other rep. deleted my transaction halfway so the other department couldn't even process the original request. not only that but they ended up selling the phone that they had on hold for me (i'm like WTH at this point). the rep. then tells me that i need to wait a few days before my phones in stock again and then they can reprocess the entire transaction again. .. no thanks. really.. just no. also, thanks for blasting martin garrix "animals" over five times while i was in the store. that was just.. I'm having a problem with verizon deals they offer and are hard to receive. They have a deal you turn in your old iPhone and receive a the iPhone 6 paying the difference but what you no when u go in the store to do this they have no iPhone 6 in when ask when they will receive some no one has a answer the bad part is this deal ends oct17th so how can you offer something but can't get it. I no for a fact they will receive them after this deal ends watch! They also told me they receive a shipment of 5 phones in last week wth 5 phones verizon get it together offer a deal n honor it period stop with all the bs! This stores customer service is hit or miss. I have had big problems with my Samsung Galaxy S4, ever since I purchased it back in September. This journey has brought me to multiple Verizon Wireless stores to get help. I went to this particular store a couple of times. Within the first 4 months of having the Samsung Galaxy S4, I have had to get two phones mailed to me because the screen has went out twice. The first phone that came in the mail, I went to this store and had great customer service. The manager and sales guy helped me from start to finish. to activate the new Samsung S4. After having the first phone for 4 days, the same thing happened, so I went back to this store to get help in getting yet another one in the mail. It was a great experience, however when I got the new phone in the mail, I went back to this store with box in hand, and opened it at the store because I wanted to have the phone activated on the spot. Low and behold, I did not get the Samsung Galaxy S4 that I asked for, but an Iphone. As you can imagine, I was really frustrated. I informed the manager, who helped me the first time, what happened. His first response, after hearing my story was, "I guess you wanted to switch phones" and " I have had my phone for 6 months and that has never happened to me," and then he left me to deal with the sales guy. That response coupled with the fact that he walked away made me even more frustrated and angry. I wanted to know why, since this has happened to me twice in 4 months, do I have to wait for another phone by mail when they have new phones in the back. The sales guy said he couldn't do it because the phones are shipped to the store from Samsung, and the replacement phones that they send out are returns from customers who didn't like the color, etc. and that Samsung will have to ship me another phone. He further told me to be grateful that I had a temporary phone to use in the mean time and that I was lucky that I was not a Verizon Wireless employee, as employees have to wait 2 weeks for replacement phones when they have problems. Suffice to say, they waived the $14.99 Fed Ex charge, so that I could get my phone in 2 days, instead of 5, which occured with the previous phones. When I voiced concern that I would not get the phone in 2 days because of Christmas, the sales guys response was, well we are going to have the phone shipped to you by Fed Ex, if you don't get in within two days, then its on them. So, at the end of the day, I did get the help, however not without some snide comments from both the management and employees and am now waiting to see if I get the new, right phone within 2 days. Service here is hit or miss. I went on a weekend to join my fiance's family plan and to pick up the new Droid Incredible as well, and we had the best service. The young lady (I wish I remembered her name- maybe it was Beth?) was knowledgeable, friendly, and quick. The process took only about 45 min. My fiance and I came back later that week to set up and activate his Droid and we had the opposite experience! We were there for nearly 2 hours. The lady we had wasn't trained properly or something, and she kept fielding questions and requests from customers while trying to "help" us. It'll be another 2 years when it's time to upgrade...so hopefully they'll have kick their service more than a notch by then! read more

I was told to turn my phone in for a company credit, but I was not told to how to save my information. At the store, Segio told me to save my information before he did a factory reset. I told him I am not familiar with it saving information and asked if he could do it. He stated that I needed to do it and gave me the phone. I was there from 11am to 7pm backing up contacts manually. There were many contacts repeated from some reason, that had to be deleted first. The phone did not give me an option to save my messages or call log. I later discovered that Sergio could have completed the method of saving all my information in a more expedient way...NFC or by use of the Verizon cloud. I lost all my information when I turned in my phone. read more

DO NOT USE THIS VERIZON STORE!! I bought a new iphone from this store and paid in full. I specifically asked if it would be unlocked since I paid in full and since my intent was to use it overseas as well. I WAS ASSURED IT WAS UNLOCKED. When I got overseas I found out it was LOCKED. After multiple frustrating efforts to contact Verizon about it I was told the phone would stay locked for 60 days and in their words, "THERE IS NOTHING THEY CAN OR WERE WILLING TO DO ABOUT IT." Verizon customer service is horrible. If the sales clerk had told me the phone would be locked for 60 days I would not have bought it. It has not been 60 days yet so I will see if they have lied to me about that as well when the time comes. DO NOT SWITCH TO VERIZON. YOU WILL REGRET IT AS I DO. read more

I do want to say that I love Verizon's coverage and service but service in the stores are lacking. I've been here before and have gotten very "eh" service but it was convenient and I needed to get things taken care of while I was in the area. But this experience, yesterday, was something I would never condone. Do it behind a customers back but there's no need to be rude. I come in and tell them of my situation. I was switching to another network and needed a more detailed final bill. Straight away this guy in the front, who seemed to be the greeter (I'm assuming because the girl next to him was just completely on her phone doing who knows what), he responded with "whatever final bill you got is the only one we will have here for you" and repeated that about 4 times. We just told him we needed a detailed bill of all the charges. And then we were finally escorted by an employee named Eric. Now he seemed pretty adamant that he would only be able to pull up the same final bill I received in the mail. I then asked if there was a way to pull something up based off another number since I had 3 lines. He didn't ask for another number but instead excused himself to see if he can find something. He came back with the 3 exact pages I needed. Well, well, well, guy at the front, you were wrong. Idk if it was him or just the wireless networks that do this on purpose so as to not have to pay early termination fees, but I will give kudos to those who want to be helpful. Had a horrible business plan. Pack store. I went in 2 get a case for a Galaxy tablet and was told there was going to be a 40 minute wait. I said I was just here to get a case can't I just go pick one up and pay for it. I was told again there's going to be a 40 minute wait and they would be happy to put me on a list and text me when my number came up. I informed them that a grocery store has a better business plan then this high-tech Wireless company with the express lane for people who are not buying 100 items. Terrible store because of the manager. My girlfriend and I got to the store and signed in and took a seat. I noticed that there were at least 4 employees just standing around not asking if they can help. I went up to the "sign in" person and asked for the manager. He came over, ignored us, took one of the female employees out of the store for coffee, so we left. As I was leaving I noticed there were 20 people now waiting in line. Scary that this manager is in charge of a store. I'm sure we're not his first walkout. I had a great encounter with the Manager, Abel, today. He was able to truly listen to my issue and help me from soup to nuts. He is a great leader and is able to work with his team efficiently and respectfully. He is sharp and runs the store very well. O would give 0 stars if I could I went into upgrade my phone the lady told me to edge up my phone can't have no damage there is a little chip on the bottom of my screen so I was not eligible to get the edge up which I was ok with but this is where things went left to took a blade and took my screen protector off then goes the rest of your screen is fine but still went can't upgrade do you want your screen back. Someone tell me why in the hell would I want my screen protector back that you just shattered and then when I told her I need a new screen protector because she broke it she said I can sell you one for $40. I went to my car came back and ask for a manager and the manger told me there is nothing we can do. I came into the store with a screen proctor and left with out one and your rep knew she could not up grade my phone before she took it off he was like o well I can sell u one. Then offered for me to go get my screen fixed to their insurance company who had same-day service I called insurance company and they want me to mail my phone in and go without my phone for a week for them to fix it falls advertisement poor service will never be back rather drive far for better service read more

GO TO COSTCO NEARBY INSTEAD -- you'll get more for less money & MUCH better customer service. I was greeted immediately by a guy who wanted to put me on the wait list -- he said it would be a 15-20 minute wait. I then watched as several employees stood around doing nothing, checking their Facebook, texting.... When I finally did get helped, I said I need to upgrade my phone to the Galaxy SIII. The sales guy Jorge then proceeded to try to up-sell me on EVERYTHING, even though I told him 3 times that I wanted only the phone, nothing else. No car charger package. No screen protectors, no home phone service (wtf?) or anything else, you miserable, condescending twit. I finally gave up on Jorge ever hearing me, so I just said "You know what, never mind -- cancel it all. I'll go to another store." Jorge seemed relieved as he said, "Thanks for choosing Verizon Wireless." Amazing! read more
