Every 3 years or so I go to this store to get my "Free" new iPhone upgrade. Not really free - you pay for the phone over 3 years and get a rebate every month towards it. Every time I use this store they add charges I didn't authorize. This time it was the $10 per month upgrade program. You have to notice it on your bill that it was added without your permission and then they will credit you back. I told them last month to remove the service and ATT did not. I had to call again.. even though I gave the account the credit for illegal charge, ATT continued to charge me the $10 per month + taxes / fees on it. This is institutional fraud. To acknowledge the error by giving the credit and then continuing to charge. The ATT operators don't apologize - it's just business as usual. Make sure they send a Text to confirm removal of services you have not ordered or they will continue to bill you. The best is they want you on "Autopay" where you don't look at your bill and it just gets paid... more like "Auto-ATT-Fraud"... Don't trust ATT or any cell phone company. read more

they always want to sell you new products but don't tell you they're opening a second account and the only way to close it is to call Lynn, but there's only one department that will handle it so you wind up paying two months of extra bills for them to tell you it's your fault they didn't tell you the correct way to disconnect your service but they'll tell you how to send it back but not to stop double paying a bill they did this with me. They did this with my mom for nine months costing her over $500 from now on I'm going to give another company my money when the store has such deceptive practices can take my money for an account. I'm no longer using, but won't tell me that and tell me it's my fault. And be careful when you go in there the overweight women definitely throw more than the weight around. read more

I went to this store location and there was this chubby chick that was rude asf. It's like she didn't even wanna help or do her job? and she spoke to me like if I was stupid, like if I should know things... first of all I don't work here, u do, so help and do ur job. It's like she couldn't be bothered and she just brushed me off walked away and continued "talking" with another coworker...like who does that? Where's your customer service skills..I've been with AT&T for a few years now and tbh she made me wanna cancel my account but when I spoke to customer service on the phone when I was trying to cancel they changed my mind, I'm honestly still considering canceling just because this AT&T is the closest one to me... but u won't ever catch me stepping foot into this establishment if she still works there..but how do u guys just hire anyone with no people skills, and just straight up rude eww... anybody reading this.. do yourself a favor and go to a different location! A young very pretty very rude girl (not Andrea) I didn't get her rude name on Saturday 5/24! Went in for an upgrade and Daisy(Deisy?) helped us. Or didn't really help at all. I called 30 min prior saying I wanted to upgrade a phone and if they had 15's in. Understandable they were busy, but she was not helpful at all. I had to ask several questions as the process to get a phone since they were out. She was not providing any helpful information, it was so strange. Really bad experience so we went to Torrance and they were great over there at the "corporate" store which the MB store says is not as good as they aren't an authorized retailer. After years of dealing with this location and getting consistently bad service, I finally decided to write a review. This is specific to the Manhattan Bch location that is in the same center as Target. This AT&T store was close to where I lived and work so it was the most convenient location. I now drive to the Hawthorne location where I am treated fairly and respectfully by the employees. I have so many complaints about the MB store that i don't know where to start. First, they ALWAYS give you the bait and switch. Meaning offering me a cash rebate of a certain amount and then the amount turns out to be less than what they quoted. But of course I don't have any paperwork stating that, just the employees word. This has happened to me at least 2 times at this store. (I have had my cell service with AT&T for over 23 years). The incident that occurred that made me never step foot inside again was when I was talking to an employee about my issue (again, this was their fault and I was going in on my lunch break to have them correct the issue) and some old man customer decided he didn't like the looks of me and started berating me in front of the entire store. I was shocked and confused at first; how is this happening right now? Not one employee intervened on my behalf and I left the store in tears and told the security guard outside about the incident. Some man was literally yelling at me and I was only trying to get my service fixed with the employee. I was not yelling or being rude but I was being assertive. Fast forward to today: my husband calls to see if they have a certain phone in stock and the employee who answers says they can't answer that question as it's against policy. Hmmm...well the four other stores he called today were able to answer the question. I am so sick of this location and their employees. Do yourself a favor and go to Hawthorne or Culver City instead. read more

This is my 3rd time going to this AT&T since my last review. The 2nd time I went I received excellent service from Andrea. I was having an issue opening my gmail and yahoo email ( I upgraded from an android to an iPhone). Andrea was very patient in helping me. She fixed the gmail but Andrea said I needed to call AT&T to fix my yahoo (I called and it was fixed). Today, my 3rd visit to turn in my trade in, Diego from my first visit was there. The store and employees are more interested in up selling products than they are in taking care of your actual needs. The manager sits back and does not offer assistance to his employees that are sometimes not knowledgeable about the products or how to proceed. In my case, I accepted the salesman at his word and, took on an Internet product. I was billed the second product left the main warehouse even though I said I did not want the product and would not be available to accept the product for three weeks. HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE I purchased/ordered an iPhone12 from this store in November. They told me it would arrive in 4-10 days. Nearly a month later... no phone. I called ATT customer service multiple times. I was on hold for 1.5 HOURS each time. no one answers the 1-800 line. So I went back to the store where I paid for the phone. Spoke to the "store manager," Sheyla, who said (with an attitude) that she can't access any of the order information or shipping information (I find that hard to believe) and that my only option is to call customer service (after I informed her that no one at ATT customer service answers the phone). I asked that she just gives me an ETA of when I can expect to receive my phone. she shrugged her shoulders and walked away. Thanks for nothing... The reason for the 1 star is not due to the fact that the store could not assist; or provide simple Information regarding the status of my $1000 phone. This store stole 351.74 from me when I went in and attempted to upgrade my phone. They claim they did not take the money from my account even after I provided proof from my bank. I showed up for an appointment and the salesperson never came in or told the manager. I wanted to switch from Android to iPhone, but the sales rep couldn't guarantee me that my contacts would be transferred. She made me call customer service (out sourced to far east) to find out how to backup and download my contacts. Sales reps haven't been trained and have no interest in learning the fundamentals of customer service. Needless to say I lodged a complaint with the store manager and went to the Apple store. PS. ...at the Apple store the apple rep was very helpful and easily showed me the app to download on my Android phone to migrate contacts and files. However, it was a nightmare getting AT&T to system to process my phone change. One hour later after calling oversees and escalating to a manager they were able to update a second level security! AT&T was a great customer service company, but are now cutting corners on hiring quality customer service staff. read more

After 2 hours on the phone with customer support with no solution, we went back to the store for another hour, which also included additional calls to customer support for administrative verification that serves no purpose. 3 hours later, still no data plan. Staff are dishonest and uniformed, informed me that aI can sign up and use third party Att Stores for device purchases with the promotion. Staff are dishonest and uninformed because new accounts and especially bring your own device lines have to have devices upgraded at activation or you will not be able to upgrade for 90 days. Manager looked at my account and acknowledged that his staff are not trained at all. Unless you know what you want stay away from this store. read more

Came in today to get some information, and the sales rep that assisted me, Emily, was very helpful! She was patient, answered all of my questions, and let me know my options with my cell phone plan. She also made me aware of the other services AT&T offers and the discounts that can be applied if I chose to add any of them to my current plan. She did all of this while not being overly pushy, as it can sometimes feel like you are a target in these stores, which I appreciated. Worst experience ever, this AT&T store sucks. I had lost my phone on vacation, 10 days earlier. I only needed to replace the phone, pay off the old phone debt, and get a new phone plan. The store had one color for my iPhone, different from the one I wanted. I asked if I could pay off what I owed and go to the Apple store nearby to get the color I wanted, the answer was no; that is a lie! I was asked if I wanted Apple insurance, and I said yes to Apple Care and Lost Protection, I didn't get either, but I was signed up for an $18 per month insurance through ATT. He also added on other line item charges, $6 per month to upgrade; I didn't ask for or want this! Along with all of this noise, the representative never stopped trying to sell me other things, I was there to replace my phone, and he was more than annoying. I walked into this ATT location and Sandra greeted me with a smile. I needed my contacts restored after I had forgotten to have them transferred into my new phone. I was frustrated to say the least. Sandra sat and listened patiently while I explained the entire story. After I was done speaking, she said she knew how to fix it and would you believe that she DID? She watched my face light up as each of the 1200 contacts popped back into my phone one by one!!!! Sandra was amazing, helpful and professional! Had a pretty bad experience at this store. Worked with Grace. Went in and completed all the paperwork and payment, only to be told that the phone I wanted wasn't in stock. I was sort of shocked that I was told after the process that they didn't have the phone. I was told it would take a couple weeks but I just rolled with it. A week goes by and I am told that they have some wrong information. I write back and no response. A few days go by and I call and get left on hold. Another day goes by and I begin leaving messages. No return calls. I finally walk in to be told my order was cancelled. Unreal. Was told the phone would now not show up for another month and a half. Spoke to customer service and they couldn't believe how I was treated. Avoid this store and especially Grace. read more

I went in to get a new iPhone under a plan I share with my relatives. There shouldn't have been any issues but for some reason it took them over 40 minutes trying to add my new phone to the plan. The sales rep kept rebooting his system and at one point got the store manager involved to help. Eventually, they proposed we switch the current plan out to another one, and then switch it back to the original plan. They promised there would be no headaches and no extra costs involved by doing this, but that it was just a simple solution to the technical difficulties they were facing. While doing this, the rep persistently tried to push DirecTV on me. I understand he probably has a sales quota to meet, but when I'm waiting on an internal issue that should be solved rather quickly, the last thing I want is to get pitched on a new service. Fast forward a month later and my new bill indeed had some erroneous charges on it which added up to $26 that shouldn't have been on there. I had to call customer service and they eventually credited it back, but not without some hassles. The other times I've been to this store there were some friendly and genuine reps who assisted me, but I guess there's always a bad apple out of the bunch. read more
