I rarely ever write​ reviews, but today my family and I went in to upgrade our phones and Lawrence kindly greeted us at the door. From the very start, ​he asked us what our needs were and never once tried to be pushy and was extremely patient and charismatic​ with us. We explained that our dad does outdoor work and needed a heavy duty phone that was durable and he told us about a phone that wasn't outside for display on the sales floor. My dad was very happy with his heavy-duty​ Samsung​ phone when Lawrence brought it out! My brother and I both upgraded our iPhone​ 6 to the new iPhone​ X 65 GB. I have been using this store for 5 years now and it has the BEST customer service! I have never had a problem and they make it so easy. Came into the store to get a quote to increase line to my current plan. Scott was so helpful! He entered all that I was requesting and then gave me a print out of the price quote. Yesterday morning I brought my iPhone 6S plus to the store, requesting to enable HotSpot feature of my phone. After checking their tablet for a while, the store manager also exchanged conversation with another staff, both of them have concluded that my device iPhone 6s plus is not compatible and I cannot have HotSpot feature no matter which plan I selected. I told me the device had HotSpot feature when I used TMO service before. Still, they told me this phone cannot have HotSpot After going home, I called VZW customer service, 10 minutes later, customer service already enable HotSpot to my phone. We've always liked and had been pleased with the service of this store in the past but we were extremely disappointed, this past week, at the rep who's helped us. My husband and I came to ask for more details on the Apple Watch SE for our kid. She's had the Gizmo for a long time and I saw that there was an option to upgrade it. We especially asked if the Apple Watch would function as a phone like the Gizmo on its own and over the chat online and then at the store we were assured it would. I thought it strange how the rep didn't want to open the box and show us how it worked, trying to hurry us out of the store. He said he had transferred the line from the old Gizmo to the Apple Watch already. To our surprise, we now realize we've brought a $300+ watch home, gave it to our child only to find out that it requires its own iPhone. Worse yet, the gizmo no longer works as it looks like it was deactivated and now we have a watch in its place that doesn't receive calls. Talk about the worst experience overall. We made very simple questions. I called Verizon later who confirmed the Apple Watch won't work like the Gizmo. That we can return but in our opinion, that watch really shouldn't ever have been advertised as an upgrade to a Gizmo watch (makes calls and has GPS locator). Horrendous bad customer service from the manager of the store. The employees tried to be helpful but could not find the receipt for my phone that was bought at the Tustin Verizon. The phone was/is overheating and causing me burns on my hands.. for which i had to seek medical treatment. Before i left i asked the manager (heavyset blonde woman) to give me her card. She refused to give me her information, or text me her business card. REFUSED. Which just escalated the situation. She has no skills in management or customer service. Not only did she not help to resolve my issue.. she threw me out of the store, causing embarassment and further emotional upset. Her rude demeanor and hostile attitude is what cements the fact that verizon does not care about their customers. You are just a dollar sign. They are only nice when upselling their products. Now i still have a phone that is overheating.. no one can find the receipt.. and no resolution. It should still be under warranty because its less than a year old, but they wont help you. After my many years of being a verizon customer.. i am done. They will not help you when you need it. Go elsewhere. Anywhere. Cricket is cheap and has excellent customer service. Nothing beats help from someone face to face. I purchased a new iPhone 12 Pro online and had trouble activating it. After a literal day of trying to activate the phone through the phone call activation service, I decided to just come in to a Verizon store and boy was I glad that I did. I was checked in promptly by Aaron who did a phenomenal job and actually helped me activate my phone before I even walked into the store. I spent maybe 5-10 minutes in line and my problem was resolved just as fast. read more

Verizon salespeople nice enough. Sold me a HUM. Car warning lights flashed all over the place. Without a car, towed, rental car, 5 days before I was told nothing wrong with the car once they removed the HUM. ZERO acknowledgement for any inconvenience I experienced because of their product. 1. Cox Cable - WORST customer service and price gouging ever 2. Apple - Next worst customer service & lying 3. Verizon - So-so customer service, inconsistent knowledge between sales staff, Loyalty Team and chat group. Ugh Ugh Ugh. Looking forward to the switch to T-Mobile. read more

Customer service....NOT! Two customers in the store with one sales/service representative and 3 greeters standing around with IPads. I tried explaining a few issues that I was having with my Samsung S5 (battery life, multiple texts, and phone freezing on me). The greeter, Jeremy, looked at the phone as if he was not sure what to do and told me that Samsung is responsible for batteries, operating issues are Google problems and they are only responsible for air service. I continued trying to explain the issues and Jeremy insisted that I review all of my apps and see which one is causing the problem and fix it. The interesting thing is, he didn't even look to see that I hadn't loaded any new Apps on the phone. It was only the apps provided with the phone to begin with and many were Verizon imposed apps. I got 4 lines from them and they said i get a free phone with each line as long as i stay with them. Talking about there is no contract the first week i didn't like service i called verizion to change to another carrier turns out that i have to pay 120$ for each device. On top of all this they said unlimited 4g and turned out on 15g of it. read more

If you are assigned to Fabian, turn around and leave. You know there is a problem when the person helping you is picking his arse while assisting you. A teenage staff member by the name of Fabian was assigned to help us tackle an issue with our Samsung Galaxy phone. Fabian was dismissive and unprofessional. He clearly had no idea what he was doing but rather than admitted such and asking for additional help, he wasted our time and said he was not sure what to do. And he did it repeatedly. What was worse, one hand was constantly tugging at the back of his pants nearly the entire time. That same hand was then used to handle our phone. Needless to say, we left more frustrated than before and also had to disinfect the phone. Immaturity and juvenile arrogance at its worst. Avoid Fabian at all costs. read more

Fast forward a week, we came to finalize the purchase just to find out that the Stephanie "the manager" had a change of heart and she was charging activation fees. If I could rate zero stars for Verizon online chat I would. I have been trying to resolve an issue with Verizon regarding a promo code that was used when I "bought" a new phone. I was told in my first chat that I could put in the information and I would have a price shown prior to ordering the phones. So, I went through the process. Filled out everything and it showed I ordered the phones. Ummmmm, no, I did not want to process the order until I was shown an ending price. Many sites show you the total prior to authorizing the purchase so at the time I figured Verizon was a big company surely they do it this way and the customer service rep indicated it would. Immediately I tried to cancel the order. I could not. So, I contacted them again and had this confirmed. So, I waited it out, received the phone that I didn't want due to the price not being what I thought it would be as I had also been told a military discount would be applied to the phone. Not the case. Military discounts only go to stuff for the phone. Okay, so I get my phone, I don't even open the mailing box, take it into a store and the salesman opened it up. He returned the item in the system and I was going to purchase another phone on the spot that was more wallet friendly. As we're getting ready to do this he told me a $300 promo code on the first phone I purchased had been applied at the time of purchase and the payment on the phone would be around where I wanted it to begin with. So, I opted for the original phone I had received. He went to reverse the return and could not in store and told me I needed to contact customer service. This is where it got really fun. I contacted customer service. Told them my story. Was told they would look into it. This is on chat so I could keep my paper trail of what I was being told. Anyway, after telling them everything and they were "working on it" their system kept slowing or going down or something. I would have to go back in and try and contact them again. I was successful in getting the same rep back up on the chat. So to make this really long story short. I ended up being cut off again and couldn't get back in. I contacted them 3 more times (I believe) and the 4th time was the kicker. I spent 4 hours, yes that's right, 3 customer service reps, 3 different departments, and was finally told the promo expired, my only choice was to change my phone number (which I can't do because of certain things tied to it) and they would give me a really "great deal" that I would love. I told them I could not take that deal as I can't change my number and they told me that that was all they would offer. Verizon basically has us by the throat as we owe on 3 other phones. So to cancel with them may not be an option due to the economy these days. But, I wanted to get my Yelp out there so other consumers can see what horrible customer service they have. They are not willing to work with a customer that has been with them for about 14 years or maybe longer. I will be getting away from them as soon as we can afford to pay the penalties. Consumer beware. They really aren't as spectacular as some people say. Oh, and two more things I found hilarious......oftentimes they will give you a survey for their service. Nope, I didn't get one. They do not have anywhere you can submit a complaint. They just try to butt into the problem and nip it in the bud rather than give a phone number out or address out to submit a complaint. I was told they don't have an address or number by one of the reps I was in contact with. It's worse than buying a car. read more

I cannot believe the abhorrent customer service experience I just had at this Verizon location. Our agent Edder was so rude. We were rushed in and out of the store, cut off in the middle of asking questions, and not given the treatment we needed for a customer spending thousands of dollars. I am shocked Verizon has let this employee work when they have absolutely no care for their customers. We came in to buy a few phone amount other things, something that should be new and exciting and fun, I am appalled by the service we received and will never go to this location again. Worst customer service experience ever. I went in about 3.5 hours before their closing time to get an upgrade. I ended up getting a rep that seemed to be in a hurry to leave after the deal was closed. Was never offered help or guidance on how to have them activated properly under new number/line. Had to spend the next 3 days trying to get the phone services to work. Still trying to get a hold of a technician to troubleshoot. I've always had Verizon, and I don't ever recall the process of getting a new phone being this difficult, time consuming, and just unpleasant in all aspects. read more

Going to any Verizon store is usually a painful experience. Like, I would rather have someone slowly hammer spikes through my fingernails rather than walk into a Verizon store. Especially the "authorized retailer" Verizon stores....shaaaady shit goes on at those stores. Seriously, check your bills before you leave the store, people! They sneak on extra charges and hope you don't notice at those retailers--but that's a whole other Yelp review ;-) But, back to this legit Verizon store who actually represents the Verizon name in terms of honesty and great customer service. I initially went in to this Verizon location because one of the "authorized retailer" stores in Fountain Valley snuck on extra insurance charges on my parents bill for 3 devices that are rarely used, so they'd never authorize them to have insurance. Since I'm listed on the account and don't like my parents being taken advantage of, I went in to this Verizon location to discuss that issue, and they handled it quickly and professionally. I usually feel like stabbing someone when I leave, but not this time. Fast forward to this past week, when I brought in Mom and Dad to do some upgrades and device switcheroo's. Dad got a new hoopdee, and the sync required an iPhone 6 or newer, so I upgraded to a 7, and he took my old 6 so it's compatible with his car. Even with the great service last time, I fully expected this to be an exceptionally painful experience. Aside from the minor contract changes and clarification points, it was relatively painless! The customer service I received from Ryan was very poor. I've been a Verizon customer for 20+ years and I believe this was the worst service that I've ever had. So bad that I considered changing carriers. During the visit, I purchased a new iPhone. However, as soon as Ryan realized that I was not making any changes to my plan, he became very disinterested, disrespectful, and even rude. OMG!!! What GREAT experience we had here! Joshua is fantastic. Answered our questions, walked us thru the whole process of buying new phones. We first went to Costco, waited for a very long time. Costco closes at 8:30. I went online to find the closest Verizon store and it was open until 9;00. We walked into the Verizon store at 8:30 pm. With Joshua's expertise we were able to make our decision and got a MUCH better deal than Costco. Overall a fantastic experience here and especially with Joshua! I have gone to this store because it is close to my home but not any more. The level of incompetence here is too much to handle. I had to go in there 3 times in 4 days to simply get a straight answer on what coverage is provided for the Bahamas. The first visit the guys helping me (yes, it took two of them for this question) clearly didn't know the answer and just tried to get me checked off from their waiting queue by telling me it was already covered in my current local plan. NOT! That didn't sound right to me, so I did some digging, and it took digging to find it on their website. And of course the Bahamas aren't covered on your local nationwide plan. And why would it be? It's another country! So I go back and talk to two more guys, one being the same one who screwed up before. He apologizes once I bring it to his attention and says that all I need is the Travel Pass for $2/day. That sounded reasonable so I had him add it to my line. The next day I get an email from Verizon congratulating me for adding the feature and they provide a bunch of links to buy more stuff. One of the links was for a country matrix of costs. Guess what, the Bahamas aren't $2/day, it is $10/day. That's kind of a big miss. So I go back in and talk to a new guy and he rather unapologetically says that yes, the Bahamas are $10/day but Mexico and Canada are $2/day. I'm not going to Mexico or Canada!! At this point, I don't know what to believe. I left ATT because their technical service was marginal, but compared to Verizon they are a bunch of Einsteins. My advice to Verizon is to spend more time educating your staff on your products rather than stressing sales quotas. You have people working for you that have no clue what they are selling, and will lie to you to just get you out of the store. Can't wait til my contract is up. read more
