This used to be a great store. There use to be a lot of help. I got my IPhone 16pro there and have had problems since day one. I walked in earlier this week to seek assistance for my non-working phone. I was told that I would have to drive to Naperville for assistance. Horrible customer service! Made an appointment to get my plan adjusted and wasn't seen until over 30 minutes after the time. During the wait, people were seen in the shop doing nothing - one person just walking around with an iPad but he apparently couldn't be bothered with checking on me or helping. At no time did anyone care about the wait. When finally seen, I asked why I had to wait and was simply insulted by the employees. The man with the iPad even approached me in an unprofessional and threatening manner and demanded I "Get out"! My service with Verizon has been good, and I will drive out of my way to use another office if I need in person service. read more

Went in to upgrade my phone because my Verizon app said I could do a trade in for a early upgrade. Walked in, got checked in. I wondered around the store for about 8 minutes while a heavier female was laughing and staring at me, once I made eye contact with her and waved I was approached by her an asked if I needed help with an upgrade. She was standing there with her co worker the entire time watching me and didn't come up and help. Once she came over she asked what I needed and I said an upgrade and she was talking a bunch of nonsense on why I wouldn't upgrade my phone. Once I showed her the pro for this upgrade on my app she said that was interesting. I asked if the iPhone was even here and she said no and I walked out. All I was asking for was if I could upgrade my phone regardless how much I was not saving and saving. Terrible service. Workers do not take their job seriously/professionally. Went in tonight around 6pm to discuss combining my and my new husband's phone plans as well as a new phone for him. The guy not with anyone as we walked in didn't greet us, we explained what we wanted and he said we need to call a number. I asked if it could be done in the store, he said no. Verizon store for the most part is OK, but it's a corporate store that has NO WAY of contacting them directly if you have a problem or question. Sure they'll service you and take your money, but there is a major "corporate block" on aquiring any contact info on owner, manager, or district manager. The "expert" I spoke to "had no information" I requested, couldn't contact the store for me, and could only add to my "report". Go to a non-corporate store, it might be more customer service oriented. You'll see the owner's scripted response below. It will not change a thing as again, the corporate roadblocks are in place. She should have given the direct number to her or her store, as ALL the numbers on-line now to contact the store go right to the corporate switchboard. I will never go to this store again. read more

We switched over to Xfinity mobile since they use Verizon's infrastructure, was cheaper & figured if we didn't like it we could always switch back. Well, not a chance now! After we switched, I realized I hadn't changed Disney+ or Discovery+ from the verizon plan into my own account. I went to Joliet Il store & spoke with guy who said he was the manager who said since my account was closed they had no way to get into it & couldn't cancel them, that I would have to sign onto them & cancel myself. He wouldn't listen when I tried to explain that I tried but each told me I had to go through my Verizon account which no longer existed. He said call Disney & Discovery & they would help Me. Disney & Discovery both told me that since I had gone thru 3rd party(verizon) that they couldn't cancel the service that Verizon would have to do so. To cut thru the bs..... I made 3 more trips to 2 different Verizon stores to try to get help with no no luck. One even connected me via telephone with Disney who told them the same thing. I went home called Disney again & a young lady kept saying Verizon wasn't treating me right! She set up a conference call with Verizon & hung back silently, listening. I explained to This verizon rep the same stuff & when he started to bs me again, I told him that we were on a 3 way call with Disney. I then suggested that Verizon listen to Disney & just cancel my subscription to Disney plus & Discovery plus. After about 10 minutes he came back on the line saying both subscriptions had been canceled. I thanked him fir finally doing his job and goodbye. He hung up. I thanked the Disney rep who really helped me out & going above & beyond. I did then create new subscriptions. Verizon can kiss my butt and it will probable never get another penny of my money!!! read more

He was engaging, offered products but was not defensive when I declined. He made sure that I was completely satisfied with my new phone before I left. I'm tired of dealing with Verizon they don't care about their customers. All they are trying to do now is locking in customers and then they make mistakes where then they force their customers stay longer. I went in and added 1 line then a day or 2 same year same month while the promotion was still going ADD one line get a Phone for free I added 2. I called because they didn't follow their protocols and I was getting charged for 1 line I called they said it should reflect we are paying now I'm being told the agreement was never attached supposedly it was a system issue. I'm forsure thinking my 2 lines contract will be over in august i can either upgrade or get a better deal somewhere else but I had thought my service I never had an issue I'll just stay the service is great but then I noticed my contract got extended 5 more months. But I didn't care because I'm staying though what I didn't like was customer service giving me ticket numbers and never solve my question concerns or issues... Horrible customer service I'm forced to stay with Verizon even tho Verizon is making payments on it but because of the glitch or whatever I have to pay for the mistake if I want to switch carrier but see if I want out I wouldn't have to pay if my contract is already initially over but somehow they extended 5 months and if I want out I have to pay even tho my contract should of been over already so now I have to wait to have Verizon continue to pay and like I said I am FORCED to stay if I don't want to pay for those extra 5 months that they added. But since I'm over their BS i will pay for Verizon's mistake and get out!!!!! I can not post a rating on the provider yet but I can on the people the "work" (scam) at this store. Let's start with day 1 11/12/23 I go in looking for 6 new phones 2 iPhone 15 pro max. They have one and need to order the other one cool no problem. Then 4 14 pro max 128 gigs they say they have 4 and then Itzel tells us to get them at the online price we have to order them and we can still get 5 phones done that night again cool, but we have to hook my phone up to create the new account since we were switching from att seams kinda shady. She switch's my phone and creates the account. Start buying all the other phones and guess what they only have 2 of the ones that we wanted. I felt trapped there as she already switched everything on my phone provider included. Itzel Then says well I can give you 2 of the 256 gigs nothing was given she even charged the difference for them even though she made the mistake of not going to look. She also put the wrong number on 1 of the bigger phones so I needed to go back. Now day 2, 11-13 my wife decides that it's not fair for 2 kids to have more storage and talked to Itzel and again no problem I'll just swap them out for you. Get there and Itzel is with someone some guy starts doing everything for her and it's another $108 more each phone. So after listening to all the B.S. that came from her mouth for 5 hours yesterday and today I'm now very pissed and I make the comment that I HAVE THE TEXT THAT YOU SENT SAYING THAT YOU WILL SWAP THEM NO PROBLEM and I spent $700 with all the accessories and never got the 30% off of those yesterday and now I need to spend more when she lied about having the 4 phones that I went in for in the first place. She then stands up and starts yelling at me that she didn't lie so then the manager I think his name is Rafael walks out out of the back room with his chest puffed out with 4-5 other guys like he is going to attack me and now my daughters are scared because of this and go and stand by the door. I yelled at him a little also because he showed threatening tendencies and a gangbanger mentality with his little group of guys (mob) and also explain the laws when it comes to financing products. I did bite my tongue after and told him I will be calling the FTC and the CFPB for their deceptive practices and misinformations on what they were doing for me. You tell someone one thing you have to honor that when there is anything that is financed. His response that not on me that's the finance company. Well you can look it up you are selling there financed products you should know the law you have to be very transparent and not tell lies that can lead to jail time and or fines. Oh and the burden of proof is on all of you. You as the manager, Itzel as the sales associate and your company not me I just have to be the whistleblower but I do have all the proof in text and on voice recording from day 1. You guys are nothing but con artists and wanna be gangbangers. Good luck those qualities will get you far in life. Update day 3 11-14the 4 phones for the kids still don't work we can make calls and send text on wifi only. When I call them their old phone rings. Verizon says it's the eSIM from previous provider, previous provider says that the port to transfer the number was not completed by Verizon employee. The compete incompetence is unacceptable. The owner of the store needs to do something about this and I'm not talking about a useless response to this. Get rid of them incompetence in your store. They are attached to your business name and the reviews don't lie. I just wished I saw them before I went in I would have never spent my hard earned money in that store and as long as they are there I won't again. Updated day 10 11-21 still dealing with issues we finally fixed the kids phones. Worst customer service. I will never return to this store. We had a defective phone, when we took it to this store the rep. Said oh there's nothing wrong with it just take out the battery every once in a while and that should take care of it. Well it didn't. We returned about 2 months later and took a spare phone to get the service from the defective phone switched to it. No problem the rep at that time was great and the store manager wes awesome. They informed us that the defective phone was covered and we could get another one, so we did. When we returned to pick up the phone we are serviced by the rep from the first visit, this man should have gone to customer service school, no people skills at all. In fact he left us standing there with the replacement phone in hand without setting it up, not even a "is there anything else I can help you with? Not even a thank you. Just walked off and called the next person in the que. Really? He was mad because we told him that the manager had promised a screen protector for the phone and he was stuck that there were not any not even in the warehouse so it couldn't be ordered, never checking because if he had he would have realized that the first manager we dealt with had made sure that that screen protector we needed would be there reserved for this phone! If there was an option that stated this Verizon Store in Joliet doesn't deserve a rating i would select that. They do not even deserve one start. Went into this store to get my phone fixed and was offered either to upgrade or send it in to the insurance. I opted to get a new phone. I was told by the Rep Antonia that I also qualified for an upgrade on my I-pad. I was quoted 34.00 a month. All of a sudden she comes out with a new phone case, screen protector, I-pad, a case for the I-pad and a charger that you can lay your phone on. I asked again is this going to cost more than the 34.00 a month. Never received an answer she avoided my answer and asked me for my work ID because I also asked about my work discount. I received an e-mail stating I owed 449.99, I was charged 259.00 for the I-pad, 40.00 for the upgrade, the charger was 49.99, the case was 33.00, the screen protector was 28.00 and the case for the I-pad was 28.00 plus tax. First of all I didn't ask for any of this nor was I given a price on what the items cost. I was lead to believe that this would be a payment of 34.00 a month. I went on verizon.com and chatted with a representative on July 23rd and she stated that she didn't see a charge for any items. So I said okay i will keep the items since I am on a monthly payment. I receive my bill and I am not on a monthly payment I am expected to pay the 449.99 along with my bill. I contact verizon.com again and they told me to bring back the items. I go back to bring back the items and the rep that was going to help me gives me back to Antonia and she basically told me that I had to keep the items because now I am past my 14 day grace period and that was that. I called the store to speak to a manager who was filling in from another store and I was told the store was so busy that she would have to look into this and get back to me the next day. NEVER RECEIVED A CALL BACK! I was told by the manager that the Rep Antonia did me a favor because I was only charged ONLY mind you charged 259.00 for the I-pad not 459.99 because if I am billed for the I-pad it would be 459.99. I told the manager at least I would have been quoted a price for the I-pad I was never told how much any of these items were. They were just placed in a bag in a nice bundle and I was sent on my way because they were closing. I again go on verizon.com and I was offered 100.00 credit. I feel like I have been ROBBED! SCAMMED into purchasing things I didn't ask for!!!!! The service reps should have to go through training for customer service. They shouldn't be selecting items for customers and at least if it is not qualified for a package deal or bundle as they call it to let the customer know. People work hard for their money for a rep or any Verizon employee to decide what you are purchasing much less charge you for items you don't want or need. This is a horrible store. You have to wait a long time for someone to scam you into items you don't even want or need. I am not asking for anything free I am happy to return the items but I do not have that option I have to take what the gave me and pay for it. Some Service. I spoke to a manager today and he asked me what is it that I can do to make you feel better. Well if your not going to take these items back then nothing. It took about 10 mins to get signed in just to get on the waiting list to be seen. The ironic thing is there was nobody in line ahead of me. I was definitely looking into buy a new case for my S8+ and I asked the manager where they were and he said, oh I must have put them in the back, tell me what kind of case you want, and I'll get it for you. So I pointed at one, and little did I know that oh wow. He literally blew me off and went outside instead of taking care of me. Reallly?? Come on now? I brought my 14 year old son in on his birthday for a new phone. Brandy was informative about the different Apple models available and offered a bundle of accessory options. She retrieved my sons phone. We asked about how to transfer the phone number and pictures and she advised there was an app for that. Then she asked if we wanted the bundle of accessories and we declined. The asking price was out of our budget. She then stopped being friendly / helpful and placed the phone in the bag with our receipt. There was no activation of the phone, no phone number transfers, no picture transfers, no offer to walk us through this. I asked about the activation and she simply remarked to turn it on and and the phone would walk you through everything itself. Additionally I was charger taxes on then $40 upgrade fee. When I asked about why I'm being charged taxes on a fee I was told that always what we do. Meanwhile there were 2 other sales people ( males ) playing with a tennis ball in the store and chasing after it like little kids. Very professional company representation on all fronts. Not! I proceeded to call Verizon customer service to advise them of the matter and then I received attitude from the Customer service Rep. I spoke with a supervisor ( Joey 2576164 ) and asked to receive a call back from his supervisor and the store Manager. He advised I would receive a call back in 3-5 business days from both. Call placed on 7/19/19 and today 7/28/19 no call back received. All in all I made an $844.00 purchase from the Joliet Verizon location and was treated poorly. I'm unable to recommend the Mall Loop Dr. location due to poor customer service as well I unable to recommend Verizon corporate customer service due to poor customer service and zero followup. Verizon has left me with hours of unresolved issues on hold with customer service. Can't get in touch with a store directly. Two hours trying to get help loading my cloud to my computer, only to be told they can't help with that due to liability issues with attaching to my computer. Went back to the store, was given a number for a retention department that trys to keep customers. Next day had a woman that helped download the cloud to my computer, then sat on hold for another hour waiting for the retention department. Was told by a supervisor that despite not being told my insurance plan would have, and should have covered my out of warranty no camera issues for the past year with a replacement, that they couldn't do anything more to price match a competitor. And that after 4+ hours at the episode, I'd be offed no more with the retention department than if I had just walked in the store as a new customer. 17+ years, can't wait to switch from these rat bastards. read more

This is a bad place for Verizon. My wife ordered a Blackberry Q10 from Verizon direct because no one carried it. They told her that she could get help with it at any Verizon location any time she needed it. Wrong. She went in to ask a simple question one day - how do I get out of the phone or another app when I'm done? - and was told by a Manager that no one there knows Blackberry. He did not try to look up her answer or call for help or even ask anyone else working that day. We left thinking that it was odd but she might figure it out herself. Well, about 10 days later the SIM card failed in her Blackberry. She decided to return it and go back to Sprint. So we get her set up on Sprint and back with the rest of the family, then we went back to the awful V store to turn in their phone. They would not take it back. They could not accept it at the store. It was ordered over the phone so it wasn't their problem. They said that we have to send it back via FedEx - they could give us a shipping label but we have to go and find a FedEx pickup location and send it back. This was on the last day of her 14 days to use the thing without being charged more than the $35 restocking fee - which is also crazy!! The phone stopped working within two weeks and we have to pay $35 for the privilege of using it? That is crazy!! Then we had to drive to a FedEx location on top of that. One more awful thing. They charge $20 if you want to transfer your contacts from one phone to another! $20 to plug two phones into a box and press start. I hated being in that store and seeing how they could not, and would not help us on two occasions; don't go there or you will hate it too! read more

I stopped by to purchase Apple AirPods and saw that there was a full lobby. I spoke with Bill who assured me that there were AirPods in stock and that he will check me in and once it was my turn an employee would bring me my AirPods to purchase. I waited in the lobby for 30 minutes but didn't mind the wait since I saw it was busy. Finally an employee comes and ask me what I am waiting for, when I tell him just my pair of AirPods to purchase, he notifies me that they were sold out. This was an absolute waste of time. Bill had no clue what he was talking about and this is by far the worse service I have ever had with Verizon being a customer with them for the last 10+ years. I'm extremely satisfied that this past week i came in and our Rep Jhensy, took such good care of my family and i!! Certainly a great hire on Verizon's part..I came in and he had a whole line of people waiting for just him no other rep. We all waited and talked and talked about our phone upgrades and we even talked to a few of his customers waiting for him to finish. Every time we come in he takes care of my family and we appreciate it ! He's a great addition to this store & we moved last year and we still drive to see him. I purchased a new phone the day after thanksgiving & the sales rep said they were so busy she couldn't help activate my new phone. Fine, so I went home & activated everything with no problem. But...the wireless charger that the sales rep recommended never worked...even left charging overnight it never charged the phone to 100%. Finally went back on Thursday, December 19, during the morning with not many people in the store. A guy checked me in and said it would be about a 10 minute wait...after almost an hour the store manager noticed me and said I would be next. A sales rep....I think "Brittany", finally came over after I saw the store manager point her in my direction. She walks up to me and says, "Maria"? No wonder I waited an hour...they had been passing me up. I let her know I was not "Maria" and said I wanted to return the charger that never worked. ..and let her know how long I had been waiting. She became defensive and with an attitude asked if I had a receipt. I told her the sales rep that sold the charger didn't have time to assist activating my new phone not did she provide a receipt. Brittany showed annoyance when I stated she could process a refund without a receipt...I know because I've worked retail.
