This Verizon location can be hit or miss, but my most recent interaction with Mariana really stuck with me and I appreciated all her assistance so much. After being upsold at the Northridge location, I decided to come here and see if they could be more helpful in explaining how much it would be to upgrade my phone and any changes on my bill that would come from that. Mariana was so knowledgeable and gave me great advice on how to go about getting the best deal possible. I was able to process the transaction and pick up my phone the next day. Thank you Mariana! 8/7/26 1pm: Store was not busy. No appointment, and we didn't have to wait at all. We went into this Verizon store because we had a problem with getting Account Managers added to our family plan. Found out that some data changed on the Verizon mobile app and website (like who the Account Managers are) doesn't sync with the system the Verizon stores use. This is, I'm sure, one of the many frustrations that cause Verizon customers to write one-star reviews (over 7k Trustpilot reviews average to 1.3 out of 5) ... see photo attached. But this review is not about that. It is about Jesus, who "helped" us with adding Account Managers that we had already added via the mobile app. "Helped" is in quotes because while he did start out helping us, after muttering "this is taking too long" he handed us off to a Verizon service rep over the phone to complete the task. Because there were other customers to help? No. After he handed us off he went to chat with his fellow sales rep buddies. A well-earned one-star rating. read more

Verizon has gone absolutely down hill in recent years, and its demise rapidly accelerated after the recent job cuts. I placed an order for a phone to pickup at this store specifically because it was a store relatively close to me that had "24/7 pickup" through lockers. I received an email within a few hours of placing the order that said "Good news, your order is ready. It's available 24/7 for pick up by you or any of your Account Managers. " Great! Everything on track. So I show up at 9 pm and.... the store is closed, as expected. But what's unexpected is that the lockers are locked IN THE STORE, behind the security gate. It's not 24/7 and it's a completely dishonest approach they're taking. I spoke to a CS representative via chat and she says "I can confirm that this available for pickup 24/7" but that I should pick it up tomorrow because the store is closed. Either Verizon is intentionally dishonest or unfortunately stupid but either way, they're scummy and do not tell the truth... ever. Plenty of other competition in the market that offers much better pricing... maybe they're dishonest too, as I'm not sure, but at least they're not committing highway robbery with each monthly bill. read more

This Verizon center has many staff on hand. You wait for your turn after checking in the kiosk. Many of the staff do walk around asking if you need any help. The one thing that could be changed...when you have a problem, such as billing, it would be more helpful that they could have a direct line with customer service to help you in the store, instead of telling you that you have to call customer service yourself. read more

Impossible to leave a message. AI just sends me to a rep somewhere in the world. Tried to make an in person appt., but couldn't. Aside from that, I've talked to countless reps and get different info., so don't know who's being honest. Promising this and that, the next rep may say, that's not available or possible. I'm sick & tired of dealing with SO many reps; even going into a store wasn't helpful. I'm feeling ready to give up. They tried to bill me for the month before I signed up. Had to convince a billing rep that's unfair. All my pymts change based on to whom I talk, so for nearly a month, I've no idea. This free trial month is driving me crazy. Customer service here is not very good. Good thing I was just here for a pick up. I mean the location is nice but the service sucks because there's very few of them and the place was packed and busy. Please have your regional manger contact me. I came into your location with only my car keys and ID after being mugged, your team effectively left me stranded. They assisted every single person in the store who came in after me, I had to regularly interrupt and notify them that I needed to leave with a phone, they only assisted me after their safe has closed for the evening, unbelievably irresponsible and not at all ensuring I had what I needed in order to get home. I've had Verizon for years and this year I wanted to finally upgrade my iPhone 12 Pro Max to the new iPhone 17 pro max during the Thanksgiving holidays and check out any of the new deals. Long story short; I was able to get a pretty good deal on my new phone and the customer service was pretty good during the phone purchase process. However, they did not have the needed accessories (screen protector) and they told me that they sold out. Which I was like okay that's fine, I understand probably many people were buying new phones. So I came back a couple days later on a Sunday because the guy told me they might have a new shipment coming in. Sunday rolls around, I come to the store around noon and the guy at the front desk said they have some in stock but no one can help me for the whole day because they were fully booked. I asked the guy, I am just here to buy a screen protector and not here to buy a new phone and it'll take 5 min. The guy told me no, so I left frustrated and came back around 5 or 6 pm hoping to speak with someone else because Best Buy was sold out and they charge to install the protector. The second time coming in that day, a lady at the front tells me that they did not have any screen protectors at the moment. In my head, I'm like how did you sell out of all your screen protectors in 5 hours and she didn't even bother to look around the store. I don't ever plan on changing my service provider but if Verizon cares about the customer experience, someone from the higher ups need to train these people on how to be better at accommodating their customers. read more

I had an Amazing experience with Joshua!! I came in with my husband during a very busy time on the weekend to get a new IPhone and IPad. I wasn't sure how everything was going to work because we have about 6 lines already and Joshua was so helpful in explaining everything with ease and making suggestions on upgrades that were needed. He is very knowledgeable on the products and how the devices should be set up. I can't say enough about his great customer service and making us feel at ease and confident at the choices we made. Just because they're a corporate store don't make them good! Went in here to do a 50% upgrade and for some reason they refused to upgrade my wife's line. They kept saying I had to buyout the full phone to upgrade. They conveniently said it after I didn't want to get home internet or the Hulu bundle he offered10 times. AVOID VERIZON.....in general incredible high hidden fees, they are a shady company...my bill went almost double I had to waste my time and go two more times to finally get it correct, very expensive with a bad and not clear at all bills...I do not recommend verizon! .....the Porter Ranch branch staff, there is a 50/50 good and bad team members, sadly they are train to involve you in their practices. read more

Lost my sim card while overseas. On my return to US, I went to verizon stire in La Mesa, Ca to request a replacement sim card. Verizon staff got a physical sim card but told me it will be a different phone number and if i want the same number I should get an esim. He called verizon online fir the esim but despite several attempts, esim could not be activated. He said only way is if I get a new phone. I refused. I contacted verizon online and agent told me store should be able to give me a sim card. Went back to the store the next day and was told, by the same guy, they ran out of sim card!!! I think I was being lied to and store guy wanted me to get the bundled plan he was offering. I've been with Verizon since 2007 and your sales people before were honest and have better customer service. Sadly, not at this store. Verizon has since somehow obtained better coverage in the areas that previously did not have phone coverage. There were areas before where you would drive through the valley and it would just drop out completely. It is much better now. I haven't had to go into the store for a while. read more

Go to the northridge store before you go here. Went in with an appointment and they still had us waiting over 30 minutes before they would see us. All we wanted to do was upgrade our phones and the guy then spent over an hour trying to figure out how he could expand our plan and never brought the new phones out. It was an hour and a half before we had the new phones in hand and at that point we said we'd just set them up ourselves when we got home. Well don't worry because they made sure to disconnect our original phones before we got out the door. What a horrible experience. read more

This location is on a roll. I had to come in yesterday, 20 minutes before closing, to get a new iPhone 16 charger for my mom. Upon arriving, I was greeted by a nice lady named Sabrina, who asked me what I needed and explained that six people were ahead of me, and that it would be a short wait. Well, a short wait became a long one, and I grew frustrate. I made eye contact with Sabrina across the store, and she could tell I was put out. So, I walked over to her, and she asked if I'd been helped yet. When I said no, Sabrina didn't make an excuse, or a dissatisfied face, or go and. look for someone else to help. Instead, she took the initiative, found what I needed, and promptly rang up my purchase. Not only was Sabrina, helpful, kind, and polite, but she told me it was only her first day at that location. She made what was turning into an anger trap into a wholly enjoyable experience. She said I'd receive an email so I could evaluate her performance, but I have yet to receive it, so I figured I'd sing her praises here. So, Verizon powers-that-be, you have another winner on your hands with Sabrina, who is doing a superb job, and is highly worthy of praise. read more

I had been trying to get added as an authorized user for my account so I can upgrade my phone on my own, but when I would ask the guy if the authorization had worked he was extremely dismissive. He never looked me in the eye, and walked away without giving me any time of day or without offering any insight into why the authorization was not working. Great service and customer service. As long as you go non peak hours, it's fast and easy. Very helpful staff and knowledgeable about products and services. Also, if there's a possibility of getting a discount the reps always bring it up in their own and help, I'm never knowledgeable about new service discounts but they always bring it up. Some kid here Krishna tried to sell me the latest version of the iPhone which I didn't want to do. All I want to do was an upgrade I was qualified for. With this kid, you gotta be specific because he didn't even give me the right color I wanted and said it would take about 20min to transfer and it ended up being an hour and a half. Went and upgraded. Was misled on what I would lose on my plan. Naturally found out later that day. Complained to Verizon the kinda helped. Went into the store two days later. Absolutely unacceptable behavior from Andy at Verizon Porter Ranch. I came in with my mom to simply swap my phone, and Andy was the rep helping us. We were taking a moment to think about whether we wanted to go through with the purchase--literally just taking a pause to decide--and he got noticeably irritated. Without saying a word, he walked away from us mid-conversation. When I looked around to see where he had gone, he came back and aggressively walked right up to me, stood inches from my face, and said, "Why are you looking at me? What do you have to say?" in a confrontational tone. This was completely unprovoked and unnecessary. From there, things escalated. He began arguing with both me and my mom, raising his voice, pointing fingers, and speaking to us--two young women--in the most rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional way. It was so uncomfortable that other customers in the store were visibly shocked. He caused a scene, then stormed off to the back like a child throwing a tantrum. There is absolutely no excuse for this kind of behavior in any professional setting, let alone a customer service role. I've never experienced such hostility and disrespect from an employee before. If this is how Verizon allows their staff to behave, especially toward women, it's incredibly disappointing. Management needs to be aware of how Andy is treating customers. No one should be made to feel small or intimidated just for asking questions or taking a moment to think during a purchase. Do better, Verizon. read more

Beware of this store and being charged for services that were not discussed at all with you! I switched over from ATT to Verizon and let's just say that this has been a very disappointing experience. When I told the manager Uziel that he should be aware of what his team is doing as in adding services such as Home Protection without customer awareness he dismissed my concerns and proceeded to be rude. In addition I did a trade in which was not properly submitted to receive my credits and now I am on my 3rd trip to this store with a giant bill. You should do better Verizon! read more

I had an issue with my brand new iPhone 16 pro max, it was a lemon! I had such a hard time over the phone dealing with customer service, let me just say their WFG (worry free guarantee) didn't mean anything because I was really worried as customer service said they would be sending me a refurbished phone! My phone was under the 30 days from date of purchase so you'd think I wouldn't have a hard time, but they had me on the phone for over an hour and a half connecting me to different departments and reps. I decided to go into the store and was so grateful I found Josh! Josh was so helpful- he understood my frustration, was very knowledgeable, and so patient making sure he transferred all my data for me (other stores had previously charged to do that). He put on my new screen protector and explained some great promotions we were eligible for. He was not only patient with me, he was simultaneously helping another young lady out who was having to deal with a lost phone. He called customer service himself and did her work for her and advocated for her to get the issue resolved while she left to take her son on a play date- now THAT is service!!! To be honest I don't even know why they have a store front anymore. Every time I walk in I leave dissatisfied. I never come out with what I went in for. I gave two stars because In the first few years of being a customer, I felt like they were more attentive to customers. However now is a different story. I went in to get a case for my phone. They had none. Then I went to get a new phone and they had none. Every time I go in ow they direct me to online. I finally got a new phone but they lie and tell you one thing and then when you get the bill it's completely different. They told me once I sent my old phone in I would be getting a certain amount back a month... well I'm only getting half of what they told me. Supposedly my phone didn't qualify. Well when I went to order I know they can clearly see what phone I currently had. So they lied about it. I hate doing this online. I want to go into a store and do it face to face.
