Horrible customer service from shopping experience to pick up. I came in to purchase a tv and felt super rushed to make a decision on what I wanted. The employee did not give any helpful advice on the tv's either. Then was followed after stating I wanted to look around more. After making the purchase I went to pick up the tv and was sent a the customer service line. 30 minute wait just to be told the pick up area is at a different location. Then when I went over, I asked to pick up the tv. The employee said ok they will bring it out shortly. 15 minutes later after they finish their gossips, they then called to have the tv brought up. No other customers to attend to at this point either. After finally having the tv brought out, I asked if they could help me load it into the truck because my wife is pregnant and can't be lifting heavy. They said no because of "policy". So you can deliver but helping your customers load their merchandise is out of the question... crazy concept. read more

Service here is bilingual , the selection is sparse and wide for what you'd expect from basic electronics to furniture to appliances and beauty and even jewelry. Very good selection 5/5 . There is value to be found with their price beat as many stores are opting out of price matching price beat is still around here. While there is a shortage of staff I can guarantee the associates in each dept do their best to accommodate you. More than half of the store is bilingual and even a special linguistic credit associate can surprise you with small banter while helping you. They outline my purchase and terms since I went with credit from the item to the warranty to extra services and the payment plans along with the possible interest. I even walked out with an A/C and was informed of how it worked for the space I needed and recommended I made sure the unit was appropriate for the area I wanted to set it up. Don't come here unless you speak and or understand Spanish. They do not speak or understand English. I came in for the first and last time last week. They have tons of employees working and standing around. One checkout line and one cashier with a lady standing outside the line, I guess to direct people(only if you understand Spanish). We got in line behind a family at the checkout who was literally with the cashier for over 15 minutes having some issue. No one called for a second cashier. Employees were either standing around chit chatting or gathered around the TV watching soccer. We had to ask if they had another cashier available after standing for 15 minutes, they all look at you like they don't know what you're saying BECAUSE THEY DONT. NONE of them speak a lick of English. Dear management/owner. You are paying all of your employees to stand around. This place was empty too! A handle full of customers at the most. My experience at Curacao Northridge was disappointing from start to finish. I searched online for a cordless microphone system and found one advertised on Curacao's website as "In Store Only." Since I needed it for an event the next day, I drove to the Northridge location specifically to purchase that item. When I arrived, the microphone package was not available. There were no signs, shelf labels, or displays for it anywhere in the store. Instead, there were numerous units of two more expensive microphone systems on the shelves. When we asked for assistance, three sales associates were standing together talking. One employee remarked, "Oh, English," when we started speaking to them. After discussing the situation among themselves, one associate told us, "We didn't order those." That response raised more questions than answers. If the store never ordered the item, why was it advertised online as "In Store Only"? The product wasn't simply sold out; according to the employee, it was never ordered for that location in the first place. As a customer, the situation felt like a bait-and-switch. The store advertised a lower-priced product, but upon arrival the only options available were higher-priced alternatives. Regardless of intent, that is how the experience came across and it resulted in a wasted trip and a great deal of frustration. I am posting a screenshot of the advertisement showing the microphone clearly marked "In Store Only" so other customers can understand why this experience was so disappointing. We found two but one seemed a little small, I asked the representative if he could sit on it, she said NO because they are chained up. I asked how can we test the comfort and seating, my son's tall and we just want to make sure he fits. She said sorry I can't help, I asked for a Manager, she said the same thing and called another worker who literally said sorry you have to buy it first before trying it out. Curacao is a crossover between Sears and Fry's Electronics. They have a variety of items Including furniture, appliances such as washers/dryers, kitchen supplies, TVs, laptops, and more. The store has bright shiny lights and you can't miss it which definitely attracts people in. My main issue with the store was their customer service as well as the pricing of their items. I was in the store for at least 45 minutes, went into multiple departments of the store, and not one single employee approached me. Not to say hello or ask if I needed help. Some people were not even around. A customer near me wanted to buy a television that was on sale but could not hunt down anyone to help him. They have some items that you can make monthly payments on which is a nice option for those who don't want to pay all at once but some of their items are incredibly overpriced compared to other stores such as Target, Amazon, etc. For example, I found one baby Fischer Price piano mat they had for $54.99 (see photo) and multiple other stores have it for $29.99. Just make sure you are checking items to get a good deal. read more

We buy a GE profile washer now the washer don't even want to turn on. So I call curaçao because we got extended warranty on the washer so I spoke to somebody else in extended warranty department. They set up an appointment. The person came out and write down three problems that the washer had now we've been waiting this happened week before Christmas. We've been waving so today I called the extended warranty people. The one that came out. It says it was gonna be about a week to come out and fix it when I called. He told me that the extended warranty people called him and tell him not to fix the washer when I call back curaçao today to see why they told him not fix I fix the washer. They didn't even have any notes on why they are saying not to fix the washer.the representative told me that she needs to put a ticket so that way the person at that area or that department will contact us within 2 to 3 business days or more to see if they're gonna pick up the washer or give us back our money but when we signed up with them, they weren't was if there's something wrong with the washer, they will take the washer without no problem in exchange it for something else. Now you're going through a whole bunch of bullshit. All they do is lie and a lot of turning around never again that we're gonna buy anything more from them and please do not buy from them. read more

Wow! It was the worst experience ever and I didn't even enter the store. In a recent encounter at the furniture store just past closing time, a security guard's behavior was highly disappointing. Despite being respectful and understanding of the closing hours, the security guard approached in an unnecessarily rude manner, making it clear that the store was closed. Considering i was standing out side and the doors were locked. I was merely trying to capture a photo of a furniture piece to consult with my wife, the guard's attitude escalated, obstructing the photo-taking and demanding me to leave. I was outside. The doors were locked, and I wasn't asking them to open the door. Interesting store. We dropped by to check it out since we kept seeing it everywhere but never knew what it actually was. It's almost like a Sears but cheaper? Not sure how to describe it! There were a TON of lights in the store. Super bright and it's one big store with just about anything. From jewelry, to toys, to furniture. You can find so many random things here. Didn't pay attention too much to the prices but glanced at a few and they were decent. We were also more interested in the toys section to see if they had any hidden Pokémon figures that you normally see out of stock at like Target or something! Sadly, didn't find much but the ones we found almost looked like clearance tags? They had a "gamer" section with crazy looking gaming chairs like that scorpion looking one you see floating around the Internet. It's a gaming chair that reclines back and is connected to the monitors and keyboard so you can lean back and it follows you. When I am at the mall I always walk through this store because it has interesting things that I don't see in other stores. They always have a lot of employees asking if you need help. Yesterday I actually saw something I wanted to purchase. While there were employees all over the store standing around doing quite much of nothing, They only had one employee at the registers trying to collect money and check people out. Resulting in a long line. I felt the dichotomy of having so many employees but still a line waiting for customers to pay you was a really wacky way to do business. I felt bad for the employee cuz he was clearly swamped even though with an eyesight there were four other employees standing around doing nothing. This experience will have me looking at the line to check out before I look at items cuz I don't want to spend that much time in line again. I stopped by Curacao to see what's it about because it's a new store that took over the old Sears area. They have a lot of space on the second floor of the mall and they basically sell everything. The employers are easy to find because they are wearing a bright green shirt. I checked out the Eyewear area, gaming, TV, kids, furniture and laptops. Their prices are pretty high and they have a lot of notices about taking advantage of their monthly payment plans. I even saw some TV brands that I never heard of here. They have some nice gaming setup but I wouldn't buy it from here. The store is nicely organized and the presentation is spot on but I don't see myself ever buying anything from here because the prices are high. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Not only is it hard to find someone to help you when you need to find a product but when you finally find someone they have a horrible attitude. What kind of customer service is that. One week ago I purchased a stroller for my daughter despite their awful customer service. I accidentally got the wrong one and was too small for her to use. When I tried to return it they said I could because I paid with debit and didn't have the receipt. Every store I know can look up a transaction with your card but this shitty place cannot. Customer service is a joke, not to mention everything is ridiculously overpriced. I've been here countless times over the years and it has never been this bad. No one seems to know how to use a cash register, you'll end up waiting an absurd amount of time to check out because no one wants to ring you up. I purchased a fridge in export department in this store paying 3 years of guaranteed in case something happen will cover the 3 years and what they deliver is a fridge probably refurbish one after 3 moths stop working and is a headache to get somebody to come and ck it after all to make this story short after a year they said they will provide another fridge but the insurance I pay for 3 years will not be longer working I dont recommend anybody to buy anything from here this company is money stealer. there is nothing in the contract saying after fridge is replace for X reason insurance I pay will end after item has been replaced read more

After ordering a same sofa 3 times waiting over a month calling several times with long call holing times they cancelled my order only because they want me to open/apply and pay with their Curacao credit card. They even charged my credit card. I ordered first time at store and last two times online . All orders made by the managers and got verified by their credit card agents.
