Watch these guys like a hawk! Bait and switch ALL THE WAY ! Stopped by the store to simply upgrade my phone and was told that with my upgrade I could get a free tablet ( I would just pay the sales tax of approx $20). I said I wasn't interested as I would never use the tablet. Oh, but it's only $20! No, I seriously will never use it. But it's only $20! Well, maybe I could give it to someone. Yeah, that would be pretty nice of you ... I wish I had a friend like you! So I took the bait ... Only to now see new line charges on my bill, etc. So I go back in with the tablet asking them to accept the tablet back and remove the line from my bill (which is now on a new 24-month contract). Nope! I signed a contract. But your employee (Cassandra) lied to me. Sorry, you can disconnect it but it will be a $350 charge. So, Mr Manager (Steve) help me understand how this can happen in your store?! Well, it's a he-said-she-said sort of thing and you're on a contract. No, Mr Manager (Steve) this is a Customer-said-commissioned employee-said kind of thing so kindly remove your head from your backside and fix it. A few hours later he calls back, after working his magic .... Wait for it ... Wait for it ... He's received authorization to 'unscrew' me ... But only half way. Nice job Steve! This review is focused on Verizon's deceptive practices in the California Moreno Valley store, practices comparable to a car dealership. I now believe it's systemic throughout Verizon. All my wife wanted to do is upgrade my phone to a Note 5 for a Christmas present. She left with an arm full of stuff we do not need or want all with the promise of a lower bill. One of the items was a tablet. It failed within 2 weeks. The other was a Jetpack hotspot, a function my phones are capable performing already. She was told the hot spot was for the tablet and neither would cost anything. We brought the tablet back for replacement and to return the jetpack only to learn both had access lines (new phone numbers). Access lines have monthly fees. Why would a dumb tablet need a phone number? Why would anyone pay a monthly fee month for a tablet that inherently has no phone access without a hotspot. It is clear, bundling is just another monetary handle they attached to a very complicated billing system. All we wanted to do is remove the jetpack and tablet and of course the costs associated with them. The manager said she would remove them but informed us we just missed the equipment's return cutoff date by 2 days and we would have to pay $350 early termination fees. I was livid! My wife was outright lied to. She asked and was told there are no contract commitments, no additional fees etc associated with this "bundle". Keep in mind this is a 4 line house already, now 2 more exist because of this convoluted system they have in place. Our bill was $190 before and now it is over $340! I compare Verizon associates to salesmen at car dealerships where they are relentless in selling you options you do not need and tacking on costs you do not see until the bill arrives, hence Buyer Beware. I personally think it is systemic with Verizon however the manager I spoke to needs to go back for more training in customer relations. Remember the worse customer to lose is the one you already have (in this case all 4 of us). All she had to do is say I would be glad to waive the fees and terminate the access lines. Don't get all hung up on coverage. That's a Verizon miss direct, a farce. Look at their map and compare it to other carriers. Their map is focused on 4 G. I have to walk up my street looking for that sweet spot to get phone coverage. The other carriers have 4 G too, where you need it, in the cities and population centers. All I need to do is talk on my phone when I'm on the road you don't need 4 G for that. read more

BEWARE!!! This "Verizon" is trying to be like the DMV and make you wait for more than an hour with poor customer service if they can! I had went in the other day with my phone because it was having some problems with the media/audio and they directed me to make several useless phone calls that seems as if they knew it would lead me to a dead end. After about an hour they tried helping me and took my phone to examine it. After they told me they couldn't assist me with the malfunction that is Verizon's fault they told me too pay 500 for a new phone..........plus recently as maybe one or two days passed since then my phone has been restarting and acting up. I have reason to believe that they intentionally did something to my phone to create even more problems and try to get me to spend more money that I don't have. I have been a loyal customer for many years but i believe that now its probably time to switch to at&t. read more

I have been a Verizon customer for 4 years and an enthusiastic gadget fanatic. I enjoy doing my research and trying out new electronics as they are release. This place has the worst customer service I have ever experience. I walked into this store for a simple upgrade. I needed a new hot spot. I was not trying to get it for free or even a reduced price. The offer was $49.99 after a $50.00 mail in rebate. Verizon's online offered the same piece of equipment for also $49.99 without the need of a mail in rebate. My simple question was "is there a way I can walk out of here paying the $49.99 without the need of a mail in rebate?" To which the person helping me, a very attractive and slender Hispanic young lady with yet black straight hair, responded "this is not burger king you cannot get it your way". Of course I was absolutely baffled by this reply, but I keep my composure and said "thank you for your help" and walked out. This type of service should not be tolerated nor should this treatment be endured by anyone, whether a devoted Christian in church or a belligerent customer (which I am not) in Verizon wireless store. I write this knowing not much will be done my management. I've read the repeated reviews about Michael and other staff members. It's sad really. I give this place a single star only because I have to award something. If at all possible avoid this place at all cost. Go online drive another 10 minutes to the store in Galleria (they have much better service), go across country if you need to. Verizon is a very large corporation and will not go away. Furthermore, I do not believe the actions of this single store reflect core values of the company. But I do believe the people working here do not have the right to belittle people and should be let go. A three star rating for this store is only as a consequence of their own staff posting positive feedback to offset the rating. read more

I hope and pray that this message gets across to as many people, friends and family members. Me and my wife decided to sign up with Verizon because of the so called reliability, I have gone to the Verizon Wireless store located at 2851 Canyon Springs Pkwy, Ste B-C, Riverside, CA to try to resolve a billing and service issue with the Fios service representative that just about each store has. I am extremely dissappointed for the way i got treated and feel disrespected when i asked to talk to the store manager, they had me waiting for 20 minutes when finally there is this guy that goes to the store daily to play video games there that has a mental disability pointed me out who the store manager is, His name is Fabian and the whole time i was there which was about 30 minutes or so, he did not identify himself, this is so unprofessional of this company first the installer they sent home was drunk and me and my family was without service for 5 days,then i keep getting different numbers to call and i get put on hold for long periods of time to then get disconnected. The service in this store is pathetic, my folks have been Verizon customers for over 10 years. It seems that whenever they need to upgrade phone or buy accessories they are helped within 5-10 minutes. HOWEVER any time they have issues and need help resolving phone or hardware issues they have to wait over an hour just to be seen. A lady walked in after us, she purchased a phone screen protector, had it installed & had questions answered all before we were helped. We will never be coming back to this Verizon store. read more

Usually, everyone dreads going to a store like this. Today, my phone stopped working and we were dreading going in and basically being told we were most likely going to have to pay hundreds of dollars for a new phone. Today was the best experience I've had at this Verizon. The guy that helped me was Mike. Mike was extremely helpful and told us everything we needed to know and even called my father to tell him about the new insurance they have for families. I've had Verizon for several years and this has been by far the worst experience with Verizon. Went into the store to inquire about an upgrade and after asking Cassandra (sales representative) simple questions in comparison to the other Verizon store I had visited the previous day, she told me to go back to the other store to acquire their services. Her lack of knowledge about the phone lines and the plans were evident. I came into this store in specific to acquire my upgrade, however upon speaking to her, I was told I was better off going to the other store since I was not satisfied with her estimates. read more

Customer service is key. HOW you say something is important. I have a new phone with a buzzing earpiece. I went to another Verizon location first and the salesperson has the same phone and agreed that his has started buzzing, too. He recommended using a Bluetooth to avoid the buzzing. Not really satisfied with that answer I came to this location. Jason's word choices made all the difference. The buzzing in the earpiece is obvious. Jason continually said, "It's not doing anything. It's fine." I wouldn't be here wasting my time if it was fine. A simple, "I am not hearing it but that doesn't mean it is not there. I can get you a free replacement with you insurance program, though, if you would like." Although I got the replacement I wanted, it was not necessary to talk down to me before providing the service that I requested. Part two of this visit was going to be buying the Hassy Mod for my Moto. But, if there is a commission or credit to be had, it is going to someone with excellent customer service skills. read more

Update: nice response from the store to my review, but all for show, and nothing got resolved. So the sales rep, Moises, called me and said that they could not stop the order; therefore I would need to decline or reject the delivery. He offered to order the "correct" iPad, but it would require putting the additional charges on my card, nearly $2k for the 2 devices! I have to wait for the first iPad to be returned to the warehouse and up to a week to receive the credit back on my account. I requested that the new replacement iPad be provided to me at no additional cost because of the mistake and misrepresentation. The price I was charged originally was the price I was quoted for the midsize iPad. The cost difference is approximately $150. Moises indicated he would have to check with the manager. So he called me back and left a message saying that they would NOT cover the cost difference. So essentially, Verizon has offered absolutely nothing for the mistake and all the inconvenience I've experienced. Their recommended solution? "go to Best Buy - it is cheaper there". Yes, that was what my message said! What a joke this company is. And I thought that they were going to take care of me. Like I said, it was just for show. Management at that store is completely insensitive to the customer. There is nothing provided in the way of a discount when they say you are eligible for a discount. In fact, they charge you a $40 fee to process the upgrade! Buyer beware, learn from my experience. read more

This business is the worst for customer service, and their manager has very poor managerial skills. If there were a minus stars this review would receive a -5 stars. We went into the store today, Saturday at 4:00pm, simply looking for a phone case. We called and they said they had one in stock, I asked them to put my name on it and we would be right over. We immediately entered the store and asked a petite female employee if she would check on our phone case. The case wasn't on a display. The female employee looked to a male employee "Angel" and asked him to check on the case. In turn, she told us "he will go back and check for you." We waited for about 15 minutes....nothing. We contacted the female again, and she said "What, hasn't he checked yet?" and I told her I don't know, but we've been waiting!" Angel stopped by and asked us "Did you check in?" I told him check in to what. He said I can't help you unless you check in. We replied then we should have been told to check in when we asked about the case. He said he couldn't help us unless we checked in. We couldn't believe to simply purchase a phone case that we needed to check in, but we were told a cashier couldn't help us unless we checked in. We were frustrated and asked to speak to a manager. The manager arrived and curtly, with a condescending attitude told us "You need to check in to get any assistance." We were stunned and said why do we need to check in and wait just to buy a phone case. The Manager replied that it was their standard procedure and when we return, we need to make sure we checked in. We told him that we should have been told that we needed to check in by the female employee who told us that Angel would get the item for us. The manager was very abrupt and treated us like we were simply irritating him as we explained our concerns. We left disgusted and will NEVER return to this business. But I will tell everyone this, We learned, after discussing this encounter with family, that you will get a better deal by buying the same phones via the online Sams or Costco clubs. You won't pay the Verizon retailer fees or tax on the entire phone retail price. I'm about to start passing out flyers to customers entering this store because I don't want anybody else to get screwed over as we did. This was my first time and last time at this store. Been a Verizon customer for more then 10 years and can't believe how incompetent this guy was. My IPhone 6s had completely blacked out and I needed I.T. Assistance. Spoke with a rep named Michael Passero who after looking at the phone and hearing what happened flat out said "there is nothing that can be done, you NEED to buy a new phone". After 20 minutes of back and forth waste of time, I left. Stopped by a Verizon store the next day by my work in Menifee, amazing customer service, had a rep tell me exactly what to do to restore my phone! Needless to say I did what was advised and now my phone works great! Simply stating, the rep at this store was horrible!!! Never going back again! I rather drive the extra 20 miles to work with Chris in Menifee.... oh and to top it off, this rep Michael called me on my fiancé's phone he next day to see if I was gonna buy a new phone, when I told him we fixed the phone, he had the nerve to ask "how did you do it so I know for future"..... send this clown back to training please read more

Thumbs DOWN!!! This is the absolutely worst store and service I have EVER experience with Verizon! I came from AT&T because I was recommended it was better and got s little more data for all 5 lines. I was told they would buy out my contract from AT&T which it was only 1 line left. I was also told that they would reduce 50% of my activation fees, and that they were going to pay my final bill as well. In addition that I would be receiving buy one phone get one free. Come to find out this was all a bunch of lies from Jason the sales rep and the Store Manager Short Hispanic guy. They had me in there for like 4 hours. I then received my first bill and notice I did not receive 50% of the activation fees waived. I then went into the store and Jason told me the manager was taking care of it and that he would personally text me to let me know it was done. Well guess what he never did. I called then the customer service and they did it right away and I was able to see the credit. Another day goes buy and I went back into the store to show them my final bill from AT&T and then they told me I had to do it at home and was given a paper with the instructions when they told me there were going to do it. Again another lie. I did what they told me and I submitted the information but come to find out when I checked on the status I was told the store gave me credits for the phone and that I was only going to receive $94 on a version visa prepaid card. I was stun because that's not what I was told. If I was told this from the beginning you better damn right know I would have never made the switch! I then called customer service AGAIN, and filed a complaint. Now they contacted the manager and he said that I received the credits for 5 phones and that they used it for accessories but that it's not a policy that Verizon does to pay the final bill when I was straight up told 4-5 times because I didn't want to be stuck with the bill. I specifically asked you will be paying the final bill they said yes because they wanted my business. I WILL NEVER EVER recommend Verizon to anyone this had been the WORST experience ever!!!!
