We went to Verizon on Florin road, the young lady kept repeating that she has never seen this and didn't know what to do, a young man came up and said it's because the phone updated itself, now it's no good, have a nice day. We left upset, we then went to the store on Arden, after a 7 minute wait, Kin came to help us. He had the phone fixed in less than 3 minutes, he found the problem was an app's advertisement froze. Phil's the guy to go to. He knows his stuff and is very respectful of others and has patience with people. If it wasn't for Phil, I would not be going to this store. I've had other workers who aren't the nicest people to deal with. Seems like the other workers besides Phil don't want to help customers unless they know they're making their commission on it. If it wasn't for Phil, this store would get a 2 star rating from me. To the Verizon store, Phil needs to be recognize as an employee of the year and give this man a bonus. I have been a Verizon customer for over 15 years and love Verizon. This specific store is my favorite Verizon location. Super helpful employees and clean store. Phil has been helping myself as well as my family for many years and continues to be of great service for all of our needs...if you ask him, my mom has a lot of needs. I swear she gets a new phone every year just to stay "updated". Every issue I have with any of our phones, Phil takes care of it promptly and professionally. This store deserves a zero star. AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! You have been warned! I doubt the store would do anything to improve after reading this review but I want to warn potential customers to avoid any headaches. This particular Verizon store conducts nefarious business and is proud of it. The incompetent sales representative, Taylor Z, claims to have no knowledge of the sales services during the sale process so will refer you to Verizon customer service for any questions you have. It's ironic how you go in for service and help but they are useless. I wanted to buy a new phone and pay the full retail price but Taylor said that I couldn't do that and that I would need to "finance" it according to their "Verizon Policy", whatever that means. In addition, I couldn't opted out of the mobile protection plan because it's part of the plan, which is ridiculous since this feature is optional. I asked for clarification and Taylor referred me to customer service since he wasn't capable of providing an explanation. Moreover, Taylor offered accessories with the phone and "claimed" that they were free, which is false so beware of this scam too. I called Verizon customer service and they confirmed that the store gave inaccurate information and it was inappropriate and poor representation of Verizon. Obviously the store management either fails to provide proper training for their staff or condone these type of asinine business practices. I guess both. So I have had Verizon for about twenty five years. I have never had any major problem with them or any of their representatives. I have always loved the service I received and have gotten many of their cell phones. So many people have told me that they are not with Verizon because they don't want to be in a contract. I never understood that. But now all of a sudden I starting to have problems with Verizon. I spoke with one of their representatives when I wanted to add new services to my account and express to the rep that I did not want to get a bill for $500. dollars. He reassured me that I wouldn't. So when the bill came it was for $488. I was outraged to say the least. It made me so mad I had to change my phone company. That how I ended up with this crazy other phone company. So I've been to this Verizon about 5 or 6 times. I'm ready to upgrade but the deals just aren't there. When you walk in it's like your cattle. The guy says hi who are you what's your number. And then you wander around waiting for someone to help you. Now I know you know we know Verizon has the best coverage. We've been with Verizon for about 6 or 7 years. When I go in there I just feel like they don't care it is what it is we have the best service so I can't help you with anything. When I ask what's the deal what's the good deal I can get what's the new thing. They don't have a very good offer. I feel like the phones have just gotten out of hand. I just want a new phone. I'm already paying $170 a month for 3 phones in 6 Gigabytes of data. I feel like after this many years they kind of me a favor. Can I get a decent phone? Can I get a good deal I really want one of those cool watches. Not happening the guy says. This is what happens when a consumer has two glucoses. I just want a better phone but I don't want to pay out the nose for it. Can I get a little juice for being a customer for this long. At this Verizon I feel like no I can't. I recommend treating your phone like car insurance. Every couple years switch it up see something new what's the best deal shop around. Previous yelper obviously had a chip on their shoulder about Verizon in general, so my review is limited to the this particular branch service and people. We had been to 2 other authorized 3rd party Verizon stores which were very small and blah. This store evidently is a true Verizon store and we were greeted more so than the previous ones and saw a lot more "live" demo units. In fact...I don't recall any fake non-working models anywhere on the floor. Ernesto was assigned to us as our sales counselor and he did a great job of walking us through the phones based on what we were looking for. There was no pressure at all and he went out of his way to make sure we were looking at what we wanted. Talking to him about phones was like shooting the breeze with one of my buddies. He broke things down into real world situations which I appreciated because he gave me his real opinion, and dumped the sales pitch. He also pulled over one of his coworkers who was using the phone I was looking at and he let me play with it to get an idea of what one looks like after some use. He also gave me his 2 cents on how he personally liked the phone. In any case...if you are looking at Verizon phones and are in the area...head over to this store and ask for Ernesto. The customer service is amazing here! The moment you walk in you are greeted and treated like royalty. Buying a new phone and getting into a contract can be tough sometimes and puts most people on edge, but the sales man I worked with "Xaiver Garcia" here was genuine and honest and extremely knowledgeable that I felt extremely comfortable to fully commit. He took the time to get us all set up and even our additional accessories set up as well, I will deff be referring him to all my friends/family to come to this specific location when they need to get an upgrade. I am beyond happy with my purchase and the customer service that was given to me and my fiancé. Great experience. I walked in they were somewhat busy but the guy who greeted me at the door was nice and very attentive when he saw we were walking around he asked if we had any more questions. I had called and Sam answered the phone , he was helpful ans understanding that it was first time although he was busy he would assure us he would be with us promtly. All the other employees were good too but I decided to wait for him to activate my fiances phone since he talked to us first. He showed us cases and other things love that I felt no pressure . I have had no problems dealing with these people in person BUT dealing with Verizon over the phone is a nightmare. They won't even answer unless you enter a security PIN and if you don't have it their stupid robot tries to reset it and screw up the entire account. My own PIN doesn't work, my wife's doesn't work, it's a guessing game with no right answers and you can't talk to a human being. read more

I have an iPhone 5 and my SIM card needed to be replaced according to the Verizon tech guy I talked to about my issue. He told me to go in and get it replaced at the nearest store which happened to be this one. Immediately after walking in, I had wished I went to another store. The music was insanely loud and a football game was blasting in the background. I walked up to a sales associate to ask for some help and had to practically yell to make sure he heard me. The man was quite unfriendly for having the job that he does. I told him I needed a new card and he questioned me like I had no idea what I was talking about. After checking the phone, he walked to the back for a few minutes without saying anything. I've been going to this Verizon location at the Florin Towne center since 2014 and have been there nearly a dozen times, due to the convenient location and close proximity to my house. Each time I've left disappointed promising myself never to return. I'm not sure if it's the sales associates smug attitudes or their unwillingness to help with the smallest things. For instance the Hispanic gentleman who works there refused to walk me through the process of putting a 64gb card in my phone, saying that they encourage people to do these things at home by learning & researching online otherwise they have to charge a $10 or $15 fee I can't remember. The point is not the money but the belittling way in which they tell the customer that they're either to lazy or ignorant to learn how to do these things on their own. I have had several issues with my phone which luckily is insured and the amount of misinformation this place has given me is outrageous. I'm not sure if it's their lack of knowledge/ignorance or if they're just too lazy to deal with certain issues like returning defective phones, probably because if it's not generating new money they look at it like a waste of time. Like at most cell phone stores, unless your ready to spend $1,000+ u won't get the VIP treatment, it's just at this ghetto location they're not as subtle at letting you know that you are a waste of their time.
