Because they knew they were wrong and had absolutely no solution....ZERO STAR!!!!!!!!! This company really took advantage of me. Antwan (nice guy) but sold me on a newer internet air tower device that ended up being lower quality than setup prior. I went to return it and it ended up being WAY more hassle than anyone should deal with. I shipped it back the way he instructed me and even after UPS store most likely lost it (and i had packing slip and all) ATT store would not help on this ordeal even though I've been a loyal customer for 15+ years. Terrell (the manager) and Antwan both seemed to want to blow it off week after week (for 8+ weeks) and give me the impression they would find it and not worry about it. Was also given the assurance I would never get charged a dollar.. Then I talked with Jessie (she is a manager too) and she was no more help. I ended up getting stuck with a $425 bill due to their negligence, and remind you - used it less than a few hours. When I went in to pay the bill Jessie had bad customer service to where she acted entirely helpless, raised her voice, pointed fingers in things like saying I needed the tracking number (after already disclosing multiple times that the UPS contract with ATT prohibits them with having the tracking number, and the reference number should suffice), etc. Maybe she should understand better how the customer service sector works - you don't treat people like they're in the wrong. Especially when they're in the right.. And also learn to apologize for your team and own up to your mistakes. Zero accountability, zero resolve, zero follow through. I counted at least 5 things the team told me that were wither dishonest or all together very misleading. Horrible experience! read more

I bought a new iPhone 14pro online and I was happy to learn that curbside pick up was available. If any of you have bought phones in the AT&T stores in the past, you know it is a nightmare because they super slow. So my expectations were low. Anyway, I pulled up and sent a text from the email link saying I was outside. Within 5 minutes, a sales rep came out to my car. She verified my ID and went back to get my receipt and phone, and then I was on my way. It took me longer to find the store location in the shopping center. If you enter on Del Mar Heights Rd, you have to turn right to get to the bottom level. When you go down the hill, turn right and the store is on the right, next to FedEx. The only slightly bad thing was, I didn't realize that my new phone had been activated right away, until I attempted make a call on my old phone. lol! read more

Avoid if possible. If you must go, avoid Cierra in particular. These people will do anything to get you to buy a phone but will mutilate your account, any discounts or things that you previously set up. Be prepared to spend a few hours on the phone with ATT to resolve afterward. read more

I am writing this review to express my absolute shock and fear after visiting this AT&T store. I went in to return my old phone to finalize a promotion for a new device. I was the only customer in the store at the time a woman, alone and expected a simple, professional interaction. Instead, I was met with aggressive, hostile behavior from an employee named Justin. From the moment I walked in, he didn't greet me or offer any kindness. Instead, he began berating me with accusations that I hadn't followed promotion rules, stating I now owed $1,000 due to my trade-in having battery issues. His tone was aggressive and demeaning, and he continued escalating no matter what I said. I felt trapped and genuinely fearful for my safety. After several minutes of being verbally assaulted, another customer and employee entered the store. By this point, I was in full fight-or-flight mode, just trying to leave safely. Justin then physically escorted me out, standing so close that I could feel his body behind mine, and slammed the door shut as I exited. I've never been so humiliated, threatened, or unsafe in a retail setting. Thankfully, AT&T's customer service resolved my issue promptly and professionally over the phone--something Justin could have easily done if he had chosen to help instead of attack me. This behavior is completely unacceptable. No customer should ever feel unsafe or verbally abused in a store. Justin's actions crossed every line of professionalism, and I sincerely hope AT&T takes immediate action to ensure no one else endures such treatment. We stopped in today to get a transfer of billing responsibility completed, something we frustratingly and unsuccessfully tried to do on-line and by phone. Chance was our service rep during our visit and after 45 minutes we were successful! Chance was very knowledgeable and professional. AT&T is a complete rip off. They promised you all these things and they never follow through. I turned in my phone in December for a great deal that never panned out.. They told me if I turned in my phone that I would receive $1000 credit and five dollars a month there after that plan did not follow through. They are still charging outrageous amounts of money for a stupid phone! I do not recommend AT&T to anyone go with a lesser provider that doesn't overcharge you. You should really update your hours on the website. I drove here at 7 o'clock because you're open till eight on the website and you guys are not open and have temporary hours that you're closed. I need a Sim card and I'm not able to obtain any service from you. You guys were very happy to shut the doors and close the blinds as fast as you could when you saw somebody pull up. I have to say I was very frustrated coming in on a Sunday. My phone went off and I had to get it turned on. It was disastrous. It should have just been transferred but it wasn't. No fault to ATT. I didn't have an appt, I just popped in. The one gripe I have here, is that no one acknowledges you when you come in. I stood there while everyone was helping someone else, a few others were waiting and it took about a half hour for someone to take my name and put me on a list. I mentioned it. If someone just said, "i'll be right with you" it wouldn't be so bad. What I can say in the end, Felix was amazing. He was very helpful but in store and once I was gone kept in touch and still helped me out with more questions and needs. Come during the week, it is so much less crowded. We purchased our iPhones here some time ago and thought the guys here were pretty cool. Fast forward to iPhone 7 season... This location doesn't pick up their land line. The automated message spins you in all different directions with no ability to speak to a live warm body at the store. It's a large location next to Snooze and Searsucker. Parking hasn't been an issue when we've visited. Today we stopped by to see if they carry any iPhone 7s to look at. None of the stores seem to have any so we were keep our fingers crossed that this Carmel Valley store had a 7 and 7+ to check out. The store seemed busy with staff helping customers. There were a few people waiting to be helped. So I guess it's understandable no one said hello or how can I help you when we walked in. I think there's one designated person to take orders because she was walking around with an iPad. I went over to her to say hello and she asked if I needed help. I asked if they had any iPhone 7s to look at and she said no. And asked if I wanted to pre order. I said No, I just want to look an iPhone7. She pointed to corner and said they have an iphone7+ on display but that's it. Ok. Thanks. So maybe the way to go is to make an appointment for this location and then you'll get better service. No harm in that. But a nice hello or a warm smile when someone comes in to potentially buy something can go a long way in my opinion. read more

We have been ATT cell customers since 1992 and have never had an experience as bad as this one! We had an 11AM appointment. Upon arrival we were assigned to Nickolas. He had his head down evidently trying to reset a password - no eye contact or acknowledgement, no offer to sit down and an immediate attitude. Our first impression was, "this guy does not want to be here". After another 10 minutes of head down, etc., I asked if we should come back - he went on about "with the price of gas, I don't want you to have to drive back and then have to pay $25 for eggs at the store" - what the heck does this even mean. I then asked if we were going to sit down and review our goals for our visit - again - just negative attitude. Finally, I asked, "why the attitude?" He responded with a very juvenile, "you're the one with the attitude - give me your license and I'll look up your account." Crazy right! I convinced him to sit down only for his head to remain down and I could see he was still working on something different. I asked a few questions and started to describe our goals - this was met with what they don't do and a - now get this - "you'll need to call 611 for that, would you like me to write down that number?" How insulting! These positions must be on some sort of commission, but one would never know it. The last time I did an upgrade, I had the best person ever - she was wonderful - this was unbelievably different. We were in to upgrade two phones to iPhone 15's - seems there would be some interest. Additionally, I wanted to eliminate a business iPhone that I no longer need. Having been CEO of both public and private companies, I was really surprised at this entire experience. All I can think is that ATT really doesn't want to have physical stores and want to force us to buy online and solve issues ourselves. What does this experience do for us? First, I'll see if a supervisor or somebody who cares replies and tries to rectify - that's fair. Next, we might try the store over on Carmel Mountain. Finally, I will really have to consider switching services. Having our cell phones, home phone, internet, DirecTV all thru ATT will make this a bit of a pain, but this experience gives us motivation to look into it. read more

Maybe other sales people are different but stay away from Erick as he will connive you with 100 lies and I assure you that you that everything is in order only to realize it is not! I went to my local AT&T store last week (7/13/20) to purchase 3 new iPhones--2 for existing lines and one for a new line. I've been an AT&T customer for almost 20 years, both for personal/family wireless and for my businesses (wireless, fiber, etc.). I spent FOUR hours (!) that day with Sean A. (who now no longer works there...one week later) and got NOTHING that I wanted. One new phone (iPhone 11) was completely out of stock in the 256 GB, but Sean assured me that it could be delivered to my home within 72 hours (delivery window 7/14-7/16). On 7/16, I received an email saying that the phone is now scheduled to be delivered a MONTH later (8/13-8/15), and even that window isn't guaranteed. Similarly, our AT&T store was out of the 256 GB version of new iPhone #2 in my order, an iPhone XS. We had to settle for the 64 GB. And, the 3rd new iPhone--the one associated with the new line--is a birthday present for my 10 year old son. We picked a phone number with his birthday numbers so that we could all easily remember it. Sean registered this number, but, incredibly, his iPad froze when he tried to put in the AutoPay option for the new line. When his iPad was restarted, AT&T had assigned a different phone number (which Sean didn't notice), and we couldn't get the number we had originally chosen and reserved for my son. FOUR horrible, highly unsatisfying hours of unacceptably bad and ultimately unproductive customer service! Plus 3 other follow up visits in the same week! The only reason I am giving two stars instead of one star is that Omar G. was helpful and calm when I returned to the AT&T store for the 3rd and 4th times last week. Omar helped identify and price other phone options so that I wouldn't have to wait until at LEAST 8/13-15 for the new 256 GB iPhone 11. I ended up purchasing the iPhone 10 XS Max 256 GB instead. They had the phone in stock, and Omar activated the line for me. Antwon (visit #2 of 4 last week) was somewhere between Sean and Omar in terms of customer service quality, but believe me, that is a pretty big range! I will be generous and say that Antwon was halfway between Sean and Omar. Overall, I would NOT recommend walking into this AT&T store to buy or upgrade phones. It's a recipe for disappointment and disaster. It will bring out your inner "Karen." Make an appointment--with Omar, if you are lucky. read more

I would have given them a big fat -0- . First of all, there is NO POSTING any of their store policies anywhere in the store. Second, the young sales help is very poor (to say the least). Third, I was having problems with the connection on the phone, after 3 months no one could help me ( at the store or AT & T customer service...THEY DON'T CALL YOU BACK, after 10 promises they will. They gave me a hard time canceling the service, and would not UNLOCK MY PHONE, and it was all paid for. In desperation I alerted Visa as to what had transpired. I changed from T-Mobile to AT&T and everyone here has been amazing. Garett and D were great and knowledgeable. Above all Omar had great customer service and the patience to support me. I had to come several times due to changing several phone and lines yet it's good to know that the staff here is willing to help with all issues! Our country's future politician's work at this store... Liars and Con Artists!!! It's been 4 years since my last review and not much has changed. If anything, they are worse. I would rather go to the DMV with no appointment than come to this place. So why do I if it's so terrible? I live walking distance and am always hopeful I will get treated decently. So, the last visit was to change my phone and cable plan. I had a family plan on my phone but it was time to cut the apron strings and let the others pay for their phones and bring my phone down to a single user plan. I worked with "A.J." and he looked at my usage over the past three months and recommended a plan with 3 gigabytes for $60 month. This was great since my last plan I was paying $95 for my line alone but this was the unlimited plan. Finally, I feel like someone was actually trying to help. That period where I felt AT&T was helping me was short lived. A few weeks after changing my plan, I received a letter from AT&T stating since I had dropped the unlimited plan, I was no longer going to receive a $25 dollar credit I had apparently been receiving with the unlimited plan. So now, my $60 plan is going up to $85 which is less than the $95 with the unlimited plan, but with less services. I loathe going to AT&T store so I put off going in to discuss this until today when I received a text message telling me because I no longer have the unlimited plan, I will have to pay for the HBO, another $16. So, now my bill is going to be $101, six dollars MORE than the $95 I had with unlimited!!!! Out of sheer frustration, I went to the AT&T store. I would rather go to the dentist than AT&T! The first person I spoke to, "Jenny" just gave me the runaround after I explained to her my predicament. I couldn't tell if she wasn't very bright or just intentionally lying when she kept referring to the fact that my bill was lowered to $60/month. I repeatedly showed her the letter stating my bill was going to increase by $25 and with the loss of HBO, another $16 thus bringing my bill to $101, more than the $95. I kept explaining that when I last came in I wanted to keep my current services and pay the lowest possible. I only took the 3 gigabyte plan because it was recommended by "A.J." but A.J. failed to tell me my bill of $60 was going to go up by $41 and I would end up paying more than I was with the unlimited plan. I actually think Jenny is quite smart but just following the deception heavily practiced here at this AT&T store. A.J. on the other hand is just a bold faced liar and will likely end up being U.S. Attorney General someday. Why in the world would I change my plan to only get less service (3 gigabytes instead of unlimited and loss of hotspot capability) and pay more?!? If A.J. had been honest in the beginning and told me I could reduce my plan to the 3 gigabyte but I would lose the $25 credit and HBO ultimately costing me more, I would have left it all alone and avoided this trip back! Although they are within walking distance, I will seek out another AT&T store in the future... that is until I switch to another carrier. AT&T clearly does not care about loyal customers and will do anything just to get a few dollars more out of a customer. read more

I have been an AT&T customer for years. I purchased an iPhone 11 today at the Del Mar Heights store. I also purchased a Body Guardz screen protector, which the sales person Alexia MendozaMozo install improperly. The protector was installed with numerous air bubbles. I asked her to replace the protector, but she said that I would have to do it myself. She said this was a courtesy for customers and there was nothing she could do. I spoke to the manager named Reo Washington who was able to apply a new protector on without air bubbles. Meanwhile, Alexia did not bother to come back and finish the transaction. She was done with providing any more customer service once she messed up. read more

Website and hours sign on door clearly state that this location closes at 8pm, arrived at 7:25 and there are a few employees in the store, however the doors were locked. Guy comes out and says they close at 7pm and that "it's been that way for a while" which sucks because I drove 15 mins each way to get here. In general AT&T's customer service is bad but the least they could do is update their store hours! Disrespectful of their customers time. read more

This AT&T is located in the Del Mar Highlands Shopping center near El Camino Real and Del Mar Heights Road. I came by last night and was assisted by Frank. He was super friendly from welcoming me and greeting me upon entrance and was very thorough until I left. I felt comfortable explaining the reason for my visit, as he listened and was very helpful and we discussed the best options. After figuring out what I will do with regards to the primary reason for my visit, I also expressed further interest in switching back to droid from iPhone. He showed me the main cell phone I was interested in and questioned me about it as to why I liked it (from visiting another AT&T a few months ago), and instead he showed me some other phones which were way better.. what was I thinking?! LOL. I will come back in a few weeks to check out the new S7, which they didn't have have yet in the store. He also further showed me some other items such as the Samsung Virtual reality headset [which I put on and it was interesting lol] and some wireless Bluetooth headphones. Overall, a great store for your cell phone and cable needs.. with great service and products! Very informative and nice staff =]] read more

Honestly I've had my phone for over five years and I've never had problems accessing it I know the password I can go into the account and everything it's absolutely ridiculous that because the name on the account is different that I shouldn't be able to access my account with all of the account information these guys in here are not very knowledgeable on anything they're not very helpful and nor are they willing to do anything for the customer I have been a loyal customer for about eight years there's no reason why I should be going through this issue one time out of 8 years with one AT&T store with one gentleman plus my payment information is on file in the account so I'm not quite sure what the issue here is except your profile and a very not nice way! Leandra was excellent. She helped us with getting my fiancés line merged into my account. She added his number and didn't pressure us into buying more accessories or try too hard to up sell us. Wow. Worst service ever! I bought a new charger for my iphone 5 as I left my original Apple charger in a hotel by accident. First of all, my phone didn't even recognize the at&t charger when I plugged it in when I got home. I guess I should have tried it at the store?? Really didn't think I'd have to test a major supplier's product before I left. My fault there. My sales person told me I had 30 days to return if anything happened. Super. So, after I had already bought a regular charger at Apple, I attempt to take back the faulty at&t crap. Well, after I told the first person I saw what my issue was, they promptly told me to give my phone # and someone would get to me. After 20 minutes waiting, nobody ever texted me, calle me, nothing. As I was on my lunch break at work, I looked around for an interested human and didn't see any. Left, annoyed. Went back to At&t today, sales person tests the heap of garbage, doesn't work, tells me I was given wrong information and return policy is 2 weeks. I tell them what sales person told me. He says there is nothing he can do. I ask for manager. She's a little peach. She turns over the receipt to reverse side to show me the microscopic return policy. I say I didn't check as your sweet little sales guy tells me verbally I have 30 days, so I didn't even check the microphish backside of receipt. Frustrated, I ask if I can at least get store credit for some other piece of garbage in your store?? Nope! She can use the WARRANTY and get me a new charger THAT I TOLD HER I DON'T NEED ANYMORE. This att store signed me up for phone insurance while I was getting my upgrade for the second time without my permission nor even mentioning it. The first time I didn't catch it for a year and paid a lot of unnecessary money, and both instances took hours over att phone support to clear up. I wouldn't recommend coming here, and to check your bill after any transaction. read more

I stopped by here while waiting for my food from the restaurant Snooze next door. It is your average AT&T store. I was greeted when I came in and asked if I needed any assistance. Politely said no and was just here to check out some of the latest smartphones out including the HTC One M8, Amazon Fire Phone, Samsung Note 3, Nokia Lumia 1520 and others. While I do not have plans to go back to AT&T from T-Mobile because so far the move has provided significant cost savings (50%). Jared is the best! My husband and I made an appointment for 10am, which is when the store opens on the weekend. We were greeted as soon as we walked in by Jared, who helped us with a phone upgrade. During the upgrade help, he took a look at our plan, and found that it was setup incorrectly. He adjusted our plan, and was able to save us almost $30 a month. The entire visit was painless and fun.
