After 38 years in the client service industry spending time with Tom Ford, Bloomingdale's, LVMH-Sephora, Lancôme Estée Lauder & Clinique to name a few I can humbly with shock and disillusionment say Verizon scores the lowest on product and very much so their Customer Service Experience. Keeping it short & wishing it was different I still haven't had any resolution. 15 calls later I'm still being charged for a device & line that I never ordered or received. They ported in the contact number I gave when asked for a callback number which then caused me to loose my part time job as the number is my supervisors personal contact she allowed me to use that day. This all happened online & in the app not at 3505 Sports Arena blvd. I've yet to get a call from corporate but there's no need I've cancelled anything to do with Verizon and I'm using an old phone on a reliable network. I went in to trade in my phone, and the representative was helpful at first with my trade in. Then he was suggesting I switch to a different phone plan, saying the one I had was old and kind of weird that it hadn't been updated. He told me the newer plan he was putting me on would basically be the same thing, just better and cheaper. It didn't feel like much of a discussion, more like he was just going ahead and do it. After looking into it more, I realized my original plan, "The New Verizon Plan Unlimited," was actually better. He moved me to "Unlimited Plus" and my family to "Unlimited Welcome," saying it was the same but improved, but that's not the case. The "Unlimited Welcome" doesn't include hotspot, has worse coverage, and doesn't have premium/priority data, which our original plan did. Also strange that we were all originally on the same plan, but now we're on different ones, even though I was told it would be the exact same plan again. I went back to the store to try to switch it back, but they said they couldn't do it and that I'd have to call customer service, which is really frustrating. read more

I had a really bad experience at this location that I need to talk about. A month ago, I went to their store literally, just to get a Sim card, for a couple of phones, the employee there, told me about "new plans that were cheaper" to upgrade my business phones but they didn't tell me it would cost me a lot more because I was on an old plan. When I talked to customer service later, they literally told me that I would be paying thousands of dollars more, for this new plan and my old plan was grandfathered. So I did everything through customer service, just because they were telling me things, that the branch didn't tell me. "Go figure, if you return your phones via mail, you don't pay a restocking fee, something that they didn't share with me. Today, I went back to upgrade my phone, and the manager told me he couldn't help me at his store. Even though I always pay my bills on time and was just trying to fix a mistake they made, it feels like they don't want me in their stores anymore. I have a business plan and pay over $700 a month for all my devices. This is really bad customer service, and I've never seen anything like it. I almost need to leave 2 reviews because within a span of 3 weeks, I've had 2 completely different experiences at this Verizon store which serves to tell me, it depends on who helps you. On December 8 we had 5 star service from Aron. He was really good at explaining different ways to buy a new phone, got me set up with a new phone, explained what our new bill would look like, showed us iPad options available to us at a discount and was kind, patient and gave excellent customer service. Today, we had Alex assist us (no name tag but that was the name on the paperwork) and he was terrible. We seemed to be a nuisance to him. From the onset his attitude was condescending, impatient and bordering on rude. It was as if I had already heard his explanations and was irritated that I didn't understand his first explanation. I went in about 1 month ago and I was looking to get a new phone. They sold me an Iphone 15. In the past I have had issues with billing so I was extremely thorough when asking questions regarding how much I will be billed. I didn't want to be taken adanatage of or lied to. I worked with a man as well as the store manager who is female. I felt like I could trust her since she is the store manager. They told me I could get a "discount" if they are able to open up a "Ghost Line" on the phone. They said I would NOT be charged if I did this for the additional line. The store manager also said she would be giving me 6 months of insurance on the phone for FREE. They also said I would NOT be charged an activation fee. They printed out a receipt which stated my next bill would be $108. I agreed and felt like I could trust them, especially because the FEMALE STORE MANAGER was helping me. One month later I am charged $267 dollars. I was charged for 2 lines, insurance for both lines, and an activation fee. I will be taking this up with corporate. The female manager should be ashamed of herself for lying to my face. I am a single mom and my daughter was in the store with me at the time. These people are unethical and lack any remorse for intentionally exploiting their customers. I will be switching over to T-Mobile tomorrow and NEVER going with Verizon again. I will be advising EVERYONE I know to NEVER sign up with Verizon. After I paid this bill the next bill was for $155 when it should have been $100. I went to the store to ask why this was and they quickly brushed me off and said I can't do anything, call customer service. The call center agent then told me they can't help me and to go into the store I originally purchased the phone from. I told him I had just done that. He then told me he would take off the ghost like and keep my original number. And that my next bill would be lower. He ended up deleting the wrong number and is I do not have the ability to call, text or use data without WiFi. So now I have paid a ridiculous fee for literally nothing. This is affecting my work and school as I am unable to login to class without a text verification. I will be reporting the manager and employee to corporate and I will make sure I get a full refund. I have an overpriced Samsung Z Flip5 folding phone purchased less than a year ago from this phone store with an Asurian repair/replacement plan. About 2 weeks ago on vacation a bright white line appeared across the screen. I took it to the phone store on 3/7/2025 as soon as I returned from vacation. What followed is a series of incompetence and consumer disregard. First, I was told to call Asurian; I did so and was advised by Aurian to take it up with Verizon because the phone remained under warranty and had become deranged out of normal openings and closings. Then, the phone store told me to go to its repair outfit near Vons; I did so and was told that the phone is unfixable and was given help to make the claim with Asurian online. I thought that I did so but was advised today by the repair store that I failed to press some button to confirm (another reason NOT to use cell phones as this would not have happened on a computer) and got the phone delivery confirmed for a $100 deductible but only after I returned to the phone store and demanded a phone TODAY and was given the same runaround even by manager Matt about taking it to the repair shop; I left promising to sue. However, since I didn't press that button I decided against it. So, know that the incompetence and consumer disregard at this phone store is manifest. I went back to ask a question about my phone set up and the Manager, Jesse was helping me while greeting customers and helping other staff. On January 10th I went to the Verizon store at 3860 Valley Center Dr, in San Diego. The person who waited on me was Lorissa C. At that time my monthly bill was $67 She told me I could get a new iPhone 16 Pro Max for free if I upgraded my plan; however, she said since I had been with Verizon for 25 years, that I was eligible for their loyalty plan. She called Verizon in front of me, and they approved me for the loyalty discount. I was told my monthly bill would be lower than $67 per month due to my discount, and the phone would be free. When I got my bill it was $200, and my new monthly bill was $108. It turns out they put a $19 per month. Huh? I never asked for phone insurance, and it was never discussed. I've owned cell phones for over 25 years, and I've never damaged one. Why would I approve this insurance - I wouldn't. They also included a $70 one-time fee to change plans. Nobody told me about that either. I called 611 to talk to Verizon. My case was escalated to a supervisor named, Julian. They do not give you their employee number. Julian said there is no such thing as a loyalty discount, and asked me who told me that. I said your store representative, Lorissa C. Julian told me that is not a Verizon store, that is an independent store owned by Victra. I asked her if I could just buy the phone and be put back on my old plan. She said yes, but the charge for the iPhone 16 Pro Max was $1210. I told her Apple's price is $979. She told me she could discount it $200, and I said yes; however, I told her to hold off for two hours because I wanted to see what Lorissa C. said at the local Verizon store because Lorissa C. seemed sincere that I would get a loyalty discount. Julian, the Verizon supervisor promised to call me back in two hours. Unfortunately, Lorissa C. was not working that day. They gave me their manager's email (anthony.sherman@victra.com). I sent him an email and asked him to call me. He never called me - bad manager. Julian, the Verizon supervisor never called me back - she flat out lied to me. The next day I called Verizon again using 611. I talked to David, and went through this whole thing again. He told me that Julian refused to get on the phone, but the notes were in my account, and he would get Julian to approve the $200 discount. Unfortunately, David told me my old $67 plan no longer existed, and I would have to get a $71 plan. They did cancel the monthly $19 insurance. Then David told me the $200 discount would be applied to future bills. Huh? Where did that come from? Then I got an email message that my $200 discount was "pending." Pending? Who said anything about pending? I thought it was a done deal. On February 9th, I went back to the Victra Verizon store and talked to Lorissa C. She showed me paperwork that indicates a loyalty program does indeed exist, and she has used it many times. I asked her why they slapped a $19 monthly insurance plan on my bill without telling me. She told me they always do that to protect the 30 day return window; however, if you don't catch it then it stays on your bill. Sound shady to you? Yeah, me too. I asked her why she never told me about the $70 one-time change fee. She said, she thought she did - she didn't. So, I went in with a $67 monthly bill. I came out paying $71 per month, an extra $30 for an iPhone I could have bought at Apple for less, and a big dose of wasted time, and flat out lies and deception from Verizon. In short, there is no such thing as a free phone. You may wish to shop other wireless providers. read more

What should have been a simple Iphone purchase and transfer became a two day cluster mess requiring two trips to this Verizon location and ultimately to the Apple store. The Verizon rep was uninterested, uniformed and incapable. The Apple store completed the process in 15 minutes. Days later I find unauthorized charges by Apple to my credit card. The Verizon rep told me on the first day he needed my credit card for Apple for some reason but that there would be no charges. Apple then charged my card for app renewals on accounts I had cancelled years ago. More hours of my time were required to cancel the charges. Seriously DO NOT use this store!!! Just went back for the fourth time to get an exchange for some defective equipment. I was promised by Jose that I would be able to just go in and pick it up, no waiting. When I got here there were three employees and no customers. It still took several minutes for them to decide on which one would help me. Then the guy helping me disappears to the back for ten minutes then comes back with a gray box and starts asking questions and asking for access to my account. Then he decides he didn't have the right box and disappeared again for ten minutes and comes back with a larger black box saying "you can't imagine what they put us through". After more questions he decided again that he has the wrong equipment and disappears in the back for at least 10 more minutes and comes back out with the same gray box he had originally. Unfortunately, if you need help, avoid this store. I had just gotten a brand new iPhone 14 and it has been acting up already over the past few weeks. Battery draining fast, camera foggy, dropping calls, sound cutting out, the list goes on. I went in within my 30 day window and asked for a replacement which is all within their return policy. They started giving me grief saying I had to talk to technical support to prove my problem is true and all this other stuff. It does not say ANYWHERE that that has to be done in the policy. Finally, the "manager", Roger, agreed to switching it out and had a major attitude about it. He even said "why would you wait 28 days to do this". Really?! Maybe because 1) I have a life 2) the problems started to get worse over time. So rude. Then he proceeded to say they had none in stock of my iPhone at ANY San Diego locations (which he was actually lying about, how scummy) and refused to waive the restocking fee for a different color. Ridiculous. He also gave me a ton of attitude through the entire process when I was simply just trying to get a phone I paid for. I cannot believe it. He apologized for the initial attitude by the first associate to greet me. Jon was very attentive, and explain things quite well. Because he was so helpful. I've been a Verizon customer for 20+ years I purchased a iPhone 14 for well over $1000 along with the phone case. I tried to return the phone case two days later and the person greeting wanted me to wait an hour plus for a representative to do a simple return. I tried it again, three weeks later, and was given the same story. I then went back today attempted to return it. The manager who greeted me didn't tell me I had to wait an hour, but processed the information and then went on to tell me it was outside of 30 days and I could not return it.
