I was in the store during the Pandemic a few months ago and they had protocols in place to keep ppl moving in and out of the store. You would think things would be different today. Most retailers want ppl to linger but not this place. Happy that they took me without an appointment. Saw them literally turn someone else away that didn't have an appt and the store was empty (for at least 20 minutes before I left). In the end, I was able to get the things done that I needed. Worse. Experience! Don't go here. The customer rep lied to us through his teeth. He had to offer the phones online because they were on back order, fine. He ordered the phone that was in stock online as well so we did not get charged right away, lie number 1. The first phone shipped immediately and they activated it and started charging us. The the other four phones were supposedly flagged for fraud and not sent. So I called customer care. I spent FOUR HOURS on customer care call only to be hung up on, lied to (wouldn't send us to their supervisor) and told we could only handle this is the store where we bought it. Annoying. Fraud tells us there is no hold so we were left with absolutely no answers. Make an appointment, go to the store and low and behold we are told they cannot help us because we made the order "online". We explain that the sales guy ordered online because it was on back order, but again we were told we would have to call customer care. They did not care at all that we had already spent four hours on the phone only to be told they couldn't help us. We ordered 10/25, it was October 7th when we went in. We were also give a $200 bill on the iPhone 14 that arrived and was still in its packaging, so we decided since the customer care in store and online was horrendous as new clients, we might as well cancel as they clearly did not care. Cancelling the phone was an ordeal that took another hour or so, even with an appointment. The store has the nerve to tell us the $200 bill for an untouched phone that we did not think was active was still due. We told them no. They finally took that charge off. And so we thought we were done. Nope! A week later we get a bill for $1,005. For what you ask? No clue. It was just a bill for that amount with no line item. So I call customer service once again. Spend another hour on the phone only to be told they "handled" it. NOPE! Today, 11/11, I get a call that we need to pay $1,005 still for cancelling our service that we returned within the grace period, unopened, unused!!! I have been on the phone for over 30 minutes as I type this. Still no resulution because Verizon clearly cares about nothing other than taking your money! They woke me up calling me on my phone with an automated call to pay. I had to find a customer service number, first person hung up on me, apparently normal practice. Second guy is trying to help but clearly had no idea what is going on! This store is horrible. I would not use! read more

We had made an appointment online for 6pm this evening. We received a text that our original appointment was cancelled and asked us to reschedule. When we rescheduled it gave us the same date and time so we booked. When we showed up this evening the store was getting ready to close (change in hours due to Covid and online wasn't update as of yet). BUT the employees were very nice and accommodating and helped my daughter find her new phone. We have had Verizon since the very beginning (in fact I was with the company prior when Verizon took over). Like everywhere, no where is perfect and I miss the days with contracts when costs were less. Overall though we may pay a bit more but we have cover when others do not (not mentioning any carrier names) so it has been worth it. OK, so I know it is not the fault of the employees at this place but if you are wondering whether or not you want to get an Apple Watch and you are trying to decide about getting either a bigger or smaller Apple Watch then you are out of luck if you want to simply try one on. This Verizon store literally does not let you try on any of the Apple watches! They just don't allow it and tell you to go to an Apple Store or Best Buy to try on the Apple Watch. What the higher-ups need to realize is that Verizon just lost my business today. I was pretty much 95% all set to upgrade to the bigger ultra Apple Watch and just needed to confirm my decision by trying it on. That simple! After being told I could not try it on at the store I considered briefly going to Best Buy or the Apple Store to try one on as they suggested, but by the time I got back into my car, I decided I did not want to go through with the effort to do that. if they had simply just let me try one on then I certainly would have purchased it. The sales representatives are probably paid by commission and seem to have an incentive to sell more and make misleading claims to try to sneak in services. When they claim something, such as an upgrade, is "free", it is probably increasing your bill, which is a recurring cost. New Samsung phone had a problem. For $29.99 John helped get the glitch fixed. But, upon entering this store where I had purchased my new phone a week earlier, I received very unprofessional and rude behavior. The large women who I think is the Manager should be replaced. I will never talk to her again if I ever go to that store. Was shocked at the poor service or even acknowledgement of customers. There was a group of folks waiting for 15 minutes after I arrived and not once did any of the staff even look in the direction of folks coming in or those already in line waiting for online order pickups. I understand the staff were serving other customers, but there was no organization or any idea of when someone would be able to help. Being a 22 year customer of Verizon and spend over $400 a month, definitely not what I call customer service today. We came in to get help setting up our Disney plus bundle, the email says to contact Verizon. The "greeter" told me to call Disney. I tried to tell her the problem and that I needed Verizon and she refused to help. When I asked for someone else, she told me she was the manager and that there was no one else. We had been with AT&T for 17 yrs and had several issues with their terrible customer service. We have wanted to switch for a while now but we didn't want to have to buy new phones and were worried about the call service. We stopped by at almost closing time on a Saturday to see what Verizon could do for us. Not a long wait and Issac gave us some outstanding customer service. He took the time to explain everything and even double checked to see if our phones would work on their network. That was a no go. But it turned out with a veteran discount the monthly plan cost plus two new phones is still about the same as we were paying with AT&T. Call and internet service seems to work just fine everywhere, even in Mexico. Seems to be the only difference here is we don't get treated like crap by service reps anymore. Issac even followed up with us by text and made sure our temp phone numbers transitioned to our regular number timely. Today we canceled our AT&T service, good riddance! read more

Been a Verizon customer for over 20 years and actually worked for Verizon as a manager of their retail stores and hate to say it but the customer service has gone down the toilet in the last 10 years. We have 4 phones for our family plan and my Son's Apple phone recently had an OS update causing his Sim Card to fail and he couldn't get text messages. So he went into the store and after an hour wait he was told they couldn't simply give him a new Sim card until he was an "Account Manager". Instead of the store rep simply calling me and asking some simple security questions and my authorization for the Sim card replacement I was told to call *611 and add my Son as an Account Manager. I did this making it an hour and a half wait and got the notification text from Verizon at 12:38 that it was completed. 30 minutes later the store rep called and said the change still wasn't showing in their system and that I had to drive in to the store for my approval! So I had to leave my job and go to the store and after 2 hours my Son finally had a replacement Sim Card that Wireless stores keep a ton on hand for the many OS software updates on phones. It is sad as Verizon used to have great customer service and it is long gone as they waste hours of customer's time as well as causing long waits in the stores impacting other customers for something very simple. The Account Manager authorization addition to supposedly protect customers is a very bad idea and inconvenience that could simply be solved with security questions over the phone by the main account holder like most companies do. read more

This Verizon location is probably better than most if you get with the right person. Just make sure you do. The manager has always been kind, the associates are ready and willing to help you, and they have a good selection of phones and accessories to choose from. It also just so happens to be right next to the new Chipotle so you can't go wrong. When you arrive at the store, request someone who is extremely knowledgeable and if possible a tech geek. At a lot of locations you will run into sales people...which is fine, but make sure those people make your head spin when they're throwing out massive amounts of terminology. Of course, have them repeat it in layman's term. My point is that you want someone who knows what they are talking about. Especially when your throwing down that amount of cash for a device you'll most likely be trading in the next year or two, even if not willingly. That's the beauty of planned obsolescence. Also, just a quick tip, read reviews on the web before you go in and make sure the associate isn't trying to get you the phone that they use. I paid full retail for a new phone it died within 3 weeks. I go to the Verizon store Carmel Mountain Ranch, and the representative orders a replacement. After taking delivery of the replacement phone, I am surprised to find it is a refurbished unit, not new. Within one week, the first refurbished replacement phone gives me an error stating it cannot identify the battery as a genuine Apple part and it begins to randomly reboot. I take the phone back to the Verizon store and they state Verizon only uses genuine parts (which I doubt), and orders me a second replacement refurbished phone. During setup, the second replacement phone freezes and completely locks up. Back to the Carmel Mountain store. The "Specialist" states there is nothing they can do other than order a third replacement and get this, recommends I take the phone to Geek Squad! I let the still locked up phone's battery drain, plug it in, and it reboot's to setup. I go back to Verizon store to assist in setup as I don't want to take any chances. The representative states "Never update the operating system...it only causes issues". What!?!? The latest update patched 29 vulnerabilities alone! Terrible, unsound advice. Fortunately, I got the phone setup, updated the OS, and have not had any issues yet. read more

Absolutely repulsive customer service from Waheel and the other manager on staff at this store on February 7th - 5pm! Honestly, I am completely baffled by the behavior of this store's managers because I usually get above and beyond customer service from Verizon phone reps and other Verizon stores... that being said, here goes... My boyfriend had to return an Arlo Go camera purchased online because it was defective. It was the last day, day 14, we had to return it and the Verizon Rep on the phone told us the best way was to return it at a Verizon Full Service Corporate Store which this Carmel Mtn store is. ( In the past, I have returned a Verizon product to a store that was purchased online no problem ). My boyfriend informed Waheel the manager that the Verizon phone rep previously instructed us to process the return at this Carmel Mtn store... Waheel flat out refused, informing my boyfriend that he would not accept the return, that my boyfriend had to ship it, please leave the store and go to a FEDEx, Waheel's store absolutely will not accept a return. My boyfriend reiterated 3 times that he was supposed to return it to a corporate store no problem, Waheel still refused him ... loudly and proudly making sure all the other customers in the store heard that his store will not accept the return. I double checked with Verizon Customer Service on the phone a few minutes after to report Waheel's refusal and unacceptable customer service, they told me Waheel was wrong and out of line, Verizon phone customer service then apologized profusely for Waheel's poor behavior. Also, I had a separate online chat with a customer service representative that double checked on Verizon policy confirming that Waheel was required to accept our return no matter what, (I have the formal transcript documented), and his poor behavior was unacceptable as well. Sadly, online chat customer service sincerely apologized for Waheel too. I called back Carmel Mtn to speak to Waheel, but another manager answered the phone and tried to defend Waheel, telling me Verizon customer service representatives were wrong and Waheel was right. Waste of time! My wife and I came in with a simple objective: add myself to the existing family plan and upgrade 3 phones to the latest iPhone 14. Upon walking in we are told they had several callouts and the wait would be at least an hour. Ok, understandable, we put ourselves on the list and kill time shopping around at the nearby stores. Less than an hour later, we get a call they can see us so we head right over. We get introduced to the sales associate and we tell him what we'd like to do. Immediately we are told we have to call some number and speak to them to get me added on to the their plan. All they can do is set us up with a new plan or phone. After going through all the plan options and phones, we decide it makes sense to update the phone plan as well. So we tell him let's do it. Oh oh, we still need to call this number to get myself added. Why? Why do I need to call some number when I'm physically standing in your location? The whole purpose of coming into the store is so we don't have to go through a million phone trees and websites. Why is it so complicated? So we call the number and wouldn't you know it, the person on the phone is just as useless. Essentially they said we have to look through our emails, verify codes, and then have to login to our account....which in the end we couldn't even access due to poor signal (at the Verizon store). I asked the representative can you please just complete the process on your end? No. So by this point we've already spent a good 2.5 hours with this fiasco, we ultimately walked out. We didn't buy the 3 new phones we wanted. We didn't upgrade our plan like we wanted. read more

My husband and I came here yesterday morning, 8/30, around 10:40am. An employee (maybe Hispanic with salt and pepper hair/beard) greeted us outside the store asking what we were there for. We told him we were shopping for our teen's first phone. He informed us that it's appointment only, and if any sales persons become free, then, and only then, will he/she assist us. I didn't notice a sign letting us know this, and it certainly wasn't on Yelp for this location or on the website. So, how the hell are we supposed to know? We walk in, and it's EMPTY. Why did we need to sit through his lecture about appointment only, etc...? A saleswoman, Hispanic also (sorry, I didn't get any names, which I normally do; I'm Hispanic, too, and not being racist/stereotypical in any way, shape or form... just trying to describe these people), walks up to this same employee and talks to him. She's free and not helping any customers. She's standing around in case some customers have questions. She told this guy this, and the guy says he'll answer those customers' questions. Huh? So, now, we get put with her. She must really hate her job. She was the most unfriendly and unhelpful salesperson I've ever met. She never smiled and seemed impatient with us. Not sure how she even attempts to sell anything, when she doesn't tell us a thing about the phones (iphones, specifically). My husband and I did everything on our own, and we were ready to purchase a phone. She pulls up my account, and there's a pending order on there (I had recently traveled out of the country and cancelled my international plan), so she can't do anything. Now, I know this isn't her fault, but I had to leave to chat with Verizon myself and work it out. I ended up dealing with everything online with zero issues and friendly people. Phone bought! The salesman, Michael J. Did a bait-and-switch. Very dishonest! During checkout the salesman kept reaching in front of me to advance /skip pages on the touch screen. I caught one mistake. He acted like he corrected on his tablet. Then had to start the checkout again. Every time I tried to scroll back up to read something he skipped, he would go straight to the signature page saying, "It's going to time out again". I was a long time Verizon user but we wanted to switch to Sprint for the unlimited data. After only 2 months I couldn't help complain how terrible the reception was anywhere I go. So having the unlimited didn't feel worth it. So we finally decided to check out switching back to Verizon & in hope to get iPhone 7 plus if in stock. Lucky for us, Brian & Mark helped us out switching back & trading our iPhone 7 in for the iPhone 7 PLUS! They even threw in the HUM Anti-Theft with our plan. So I'm actually happy that we back with Verizon & got the phones we wanted. Only down side was they kept pushing products at us even after we said we rather get it elsewhere. Wasted my time two days in a row. I have a business account with my partner and account was managed by my partner. So I know the pin number to access the account. Few weeks ago, I went to this store myself to add wireless hotspot line which I needed for couple weeks. I was able to add line and I was advised on upgrading phone one of the line we have. Yesterday, I went in and stop the wireless hotspot service, the clerk who was helping me said, I can't stop the service since I'm not listed as business owner on the account. After I explained about the account and told him a fact that I was the one add the line at the same store. then he somehow managed to stop the service. and I asked about back-to-school deal for phone upgrade, he said the deal was expired on 15th (Wed). So I told him that I will think about it and will come back. Today, I checked verizon online, and they still advertising the back-to-school trade-in deals, still valid through end of Aug... I went to store to ask about the upgrade, and one girl(Her name was Sulaima.... I may spell wrong) told me I can not do any change on the account unless they get some approval on paper from my partner who is listed as account owner. If it was not possible to modify account without my business partner, how come I was able to add lines and stop. Are this policy changes over night? I called Verizon customer service asking about how to find out what's the right way and also whom I should talk to about the store operation policy, the customer service call-center agent tried to connect me to the store, but no-one pickup the phone. Every clerk in this store told me different story about changing account, and authorities. One day I was able to do everything I want, and one day I'm not authorized to do anything.... should you have just one policy and guideline? read more

This place is amazing. The customer service is exceptional, especially if you are lucky enough to have Noora take care of you. My wife, daughter, and I went in to see about upgrading my Pixel 2. Noora was so professional and clearly spelled out all the variables that we switched my wife and daughters from T-Mobile to Verizon. What was even more interesting is we watched as Noora took care of an "elderly" couple with so much care and patience. If anyone was to ask what's customer service look like? Terrible experience with this store. Omar lied to us!! I was already upset with having to visit this store because Verizon disabled my SIM card and you can't get a free replacement at authorized retailers. On top of this I have a tablet that stopped working on Wi-Fi with less than 3 hours of use (it sat in a drawer for 6 months still in package) The phone we bought along with the tablet also has issues. The MotoZ at around 8 months old started shutting off when reaching 30% battery. This problem only got worse and the phone turns off at 70-80% now. I was ready to take my business elsewhere after being a Verizon customer for close to 20 years when Omar gave me and my wife a shred of hope saying the best they could do to retain us as customers was to overnight us 2 new devices along with return shipping for the faulty devices free of charge because we paid for insurance. Every part of his statement was false. The warranty/insurance program does not replace with a new device, but a refurbished device. They also do not send tablets. The old tablet must be returned 1st. Upon returning home I checked to make sure both shipments were on the way as we were only emailed the receipt for the phone only to find a 5 dollar charge! So now I sit on hold with corporate after telling Omar I had already wasted 2 hours at the authorized dealer troubleshooting, had to make an out of the way trip to get "real Verizon support" , and was sick of wasting time and ready to go to T-Mobile where I can get out from under these 2 terrible devices without worrying about the remaining balances. Lying to us definitely doesn't help the situation even if it got us out of the store. There is simply no reason for me to continue doing business with Verizon and I advise anyone going to this store to be wary of false promises and overall deceit. Honesty would have saved a customer here. Now, I get to waste more of my and Verizon's valuable time and will more than likely take my business elsewhere as I have zero confidence Verizon will do the right thing and fight to retain a loyal customer. read more

Update - after contacting the BBB, Verizon was quick to contact me and make things right. Be careful of add on deals and know what you are getting into, because they don't fully disclose everything! Upgraded one of our phones, and was told they had a promotion on iPads since we were upgrading the phone. "Only and additional $8 a month" for 24 months to get a new iPad. Seemed like a pretty good deal, so I bit. Turns out you have to add another line to get the promotional rate, with is another $10 a month, so it's actually $18.84 a month now. Did they explain that? NO. I would not have gotten it. If I return it, it's a $50 restocking fee, and to cancel the extra line, I have to buy the iPad outright at full price. Wow.
