Sometimes the people are able to help and other times they grimace and say, "sorry". I've had multiple complaints with my service, they had no way to help repair my phone and I had to call the FCC to get some recent bogus charges reversed. Last time I came to this location, I asked the staff member to help me take the sim card out so I could move it from my broken phone to the working one. She said, "there's no sim card, looks like an e-Sim." I asked, "what's an e-Sim?" She told me what I could already deduce: "An electronic sim card." Went into the store to upgrade my phone and the rep was very helpful, offered me a better plan and I left the store with a new phone and thinking my bill would be the same. Somehow the rep added a new line to my account along with additional perks that I did not request (hotspot, mobile protection) and my new bill skyrocketed. Because I am on autopay I would not have noticed this for a while, but got a letter in the mail welcoming me to Verizon's Mobile Protection plan which keyed me into something being wrong. I looked at my bill and noticed the 3rd line. Had to spend 45+ minutes correcting it with Verizon on the phone on my day off. I understand that mistakes can happen but expect that employees handling customers are trained appropriately or someone more experienced is reviewing their work, especially when it has a financial impact on customers. I would love for this store to reimburse me for my time and trouble by offering a store gift card or something along those lines. read more

I upgraded 2 older iPhones to 15 and 15 max, the store couldn't take my old devices for some reason. Said I had to mail them back to Verizon directly. Mailed the devices back, provided a tracking number and Verizon still is trying to charger me $900 for the 2 old phones. It's been 2 months and Verizon still can't find the old devices. I'm upset with the Verizon warehouse and this store for not taking my old devices right away. read more

Network in 92131 area code poor, dropped calls, call were intermittently missed. After two and one half months and multiple complaints I changed wireless carriers. Verizon was dismissive of complaints.I filed FCC complaint which got their attention but no solution found. Biggest scam in the world. They charged me $885 for 3 screen protectors and 3 camera protectors. They took it out in front of us so we couldn't return it. They also let us set up the phones in the store... but charged us $40 each to do so without telling us. The service was incredibly rude and inappropriate. They were cussing every second, and told me that I was being stupid when I asked how much the phones would cost. They didn't even give me a receipt because they claimed they were "out of paper." Bad experience, returned a gizmo watch here which was still on account for a month and was being charged for it on the bill. The store rep adonte tried to sell me a new iPhone with buy back on old iPhone and dint honor it when I went to pick up the new phone. Also the new phone I never picked up is also on my acct and I am being billed for it. Unbelievable mess. The store manager lance never gave me a call back to resolve the mid-quoted phone. The online customer service is not able to resolve things without consulting with the store, the store is not able to resolve the discrepancy without calling the online customer service. My wife's SIM card died quite suddenly this morning. We are here in the Poway area for over a month far our Massachusetts home. My wife is a consultant and relies on her phone to maintain contact with her business associates. We were at the store when it opened at 10:00AM and were greeted by Andi. He checked out the SIM card, found it was defective, replaced it, and we were on our way with a fully functioning iPhone within a few minutes. Best of all...NO CHARGE! Andi was friendly, reassuring, and professional. We are thankful he was on duty this morning and was able to rectify the problem and send us on our way as very happy and satisfied customers. As is always the case, it's not the business that counts, it's the people who work there and represent the face of the company, and you, Andi, gave us great service and put us back in business. I'm only compelled to write this review due to an obnoxious cold call I just received from this store. I had a less than pleasant experience with them in the past when I ordered an iphone. They neglected to call me when the phone arrived (after saying they would) and it sat in the back room for two weeks. The reason I write this review today comes after just receiving a call that went like this, "Chad, I wanted to call and tell you that you're over paying on your account by about $20." I reply with, "Ok, how can I reduce that, you didn't give me any details." His response, "Oh, I can't tell you over the phone, you'll have to come into the store, but you should be saving about $20 because you're overpaying." This shady cold call to try and get me to come into the store to pitch some BS plan or service change was insulting. He COULD give me all the info I wanted over the phone, but these guys operate a shifty, unorganized store. I'm surprised they haven't gone out of business. Stay clear of this spot, and go to real Verizon corporate store; not some offshoot retailer. read more

I wish I could select negative stars as a rating. This store deserves a -5 star review. My boyfriend works cooperate at Verizon and ordered a new phone. We ordered and paid online and even called to make sure the phone would be ready just to pick up. When we got there this girl didn't even acknowledge us or the other two people in the store for about 20 minutes. When she finally got to us we gave the info she asked for and it wasn't letting us it so instead of calling a manager or Customer support she just continues to help the other people. About 30-40 minutes pass as we wait for her to get to us again and she just says that there's nothing she can do and he manager calls and she tells them about us and he just says "there's nothing to do." So we leave. Moral of the story DONT GO TO WIRELESS VERIZON STORES THERE NOT COOPERATE STORES!!! Visited this store on Sunday (17 July 2022) looking for two Samsung smart phones. There were three customers ahead of us when we arrived at around 6 pm; the store closes at 7. Weise, the one gentleman on duty, showed great patience and courtesy with all customers. When he was able to work us in, he found the phones we were interested in, answered all our questions, all while keeping other customers happy. He showed the ability to explain and update our account, make our phones ready to use, demonstrate features we didn't know how to use, and expertly install screen protectors. He stayed at the store after hours to assure that all customers were served and happy. Nice job and we are happy with our two Galaxy phones the day after. read more

At first, I was impressed with Jill's knowledge and professionalism. However, you've got to be smart, because she tries to talk you into things you don't need! Well, she talked me into purchasing an accessory that when I got home, I discovered that I really didn't need. There's an application for that on my phone! Of course, I returned it. I was upset to discover she was charging me $25, restocking fee! I hadn't even opened the box!!! They, I received a Verizon text that I had exceeded my data limit. How could that be? I went back to inquire how I could have used double the amount of data in just three days! Are you sitting down... when Jillian (Jill) downloaded my information from my old phone to my new one, she didn't used the WIFI!!!!!! I was charged for all that time and downloads!!!!!!!! While the people at this location were kind and attentive, their hands were tied by Corporate. I recently had occasion to get a new phone and plan for a relative in Idaho. We went with T Mobile. She got on the Senior Plan for a real sweet deal, THEN, T Mobile told me that two lines for unlimited talk, text and DATA on their Senior plan was $70.00 a month. About half of what I am currently paying. Having been with Verizon for over 14 years, and at some times with a total of 5 lines, I wanted to see if they had a similar plan. I went into the store on Poway Rd and was informed by their representative, Gabreilla, that they did have a Sr. plan, but I was not eligible for it as we had our daughter on our plan. She assured me that if it was only my husband and I, we could have that plan, it was $80.00 a month. Worth $10.00 a month for me to stay with Verizon. I had my daughter get her own plan, went back into the store two of their employees helped me. We called the customer care center and talked with three people. No one could or would authorize that plan for me. The men at the store said they would have a GM look at it and their Store Manager, Lauren, would call me back. I waited two days and went into the store again, Lauren said that there was nothing she could do either. Again, this is after I had been told we were eligible for the Senior plan. So needless to say, I went right over to T-Mobile and got two lines, unlimited, talk, text and data for $70.00 a month. Verizon Managers need to be empowered to back up what their employees tell or offer people. Just think of the money I will save, over $800.00 a year. Not to mention Verizon gave up a loyal customer that had, at one time, 5 lines! Now, we are all with different carriers. By the way, we have not had one dropped call with T Mobile and I have been all over San Diego County! read more

Yelp should seriously make an option for 0 stars. This was the worst experience of my life. I found out why: this store is a Verizon RETAILER, not an actually Verizon store (corporate). I spent 45 minutes in there and they couldn't even get into the account. I gave them the phone #, pin # (and another possible pin #), last 4 digits of SSN, AND billing zip code, and it kept showing up as "invalid." The zip code was for the pin to be reset. But it still didn't work. I was going to make changes to the account and buy a new phone, but I just gave up and left. The girl said she couldn't override it, and the store manager wouldn't be able to override it either. I made a comment like "Isn't your internet supposed to be fast?" and she said "Our system was down the last couple of days so that's as fast as it's gonna get." Oh yeah so maybe that's why it's not working right now??! She should have told me they're a retailer and not freaking Verizon corporate. Then I wouldn't have wasted my time. Seriously, don't go here. Even if you have to wait longer at a real Verizon store, they pull up your account in a few seconds and all they needed from me was an ID to show that I was an account manager. (I ended up going to the store on Carmel Mtn Rd). At the end of my time there, she just said "there's nothing I can do about it. Have a nice day." FAIL. read more

Watch out for the employee trying to sell you bundles that you really don't need to make commission. All the other stores I called said they never heard of buying a bundle just to buy the phone. Benito was absolutely amazing! I worked where he bring in the daily deposits and i only asked him one simple question about verizon and he went the whole nine yards! He wrote down visually when he was there on paper and he txted me the other info as soon as he returned. We went back and forth for few days to get exactly what i wanted and his service was so great that my husband even said lets only go back to him if you wanna switch from sprint to verizon.
