I'd highly advise against going to this independent retailer. Enter at your own risk. 1) I was ripped off - bought a tablet for their promo price and was never told a new line was being added. Also paid a "Set up and Go Plus" fee - no idea what that was for, especially since the tablet was not set up or configured. I was only handed the box. When I went back to the store to return the tablet, the rep casually stated the line access information was on the receipt all along. A $35 restocking fee was verbally confirmed, however my receipt said $70 (which is accurate for tablets). Incorrect information given. 2) I was told I'd "make" money by fixing my cracked iPhone 6 screen by trading it in to receive a higher value for in-store credit. I paid cash to fix the screen (extremely dumb move on my part). Scammed. 3) I went back the next business day to get my iPhone 6 back and the rep said they no longer had my phone. Apparently the district manager came in on Christmas day to ship off my phone. The rep called the district manager to see if they could retrieve my phone, with no success. Suspect. 4) I wanted to return my iPhone 7 and a different rep asked me why would I want to return the phone. I said I didn't like the new features and it felt bigger - probably because of the new case they sold me. He gave me this look and said it's the same size. He said he did not know what went on during the sale and left before the final transaction, so it would be better to wait for the rep who helped me. 5) Very vague information provided and the rep did not review the invoices in detail before signing (only AFTER I purchased everything). The rep scrolled to the bottom of each doc I was supposed to sign and I wasn't even sure what I was signing for anymore. 6) I was told the screen protector and phone case were part of the upgrade bundle package, however the invoice clearly charged me for both. So I better see a credit on my Verizon bill. 7) None of my photos were transferred over from the iPhone 6 to the iPhone 7 - I was told the transfer didn't finish because I left the store too early and got disconnected from WiFi. Again, I had no knowledge of this. The rep mentioned I could retrieve my photos from the Cloud once I sync my new phone to my computer; I highly doubt my photos are in the Cloud because I never purchased additional Cloud storage. After speaking with a friend, she advised me that I should have kept my iPhone 6 (with its fixed screen and bought more Cloud storage). That solution would have let me avoid this awful experience. 8) I called Verizon directly and they were extremely helpful. The same Verizon rep will be calling me to review all charges when my billing cycle ends. 9) My dad also had a bad experience with this store. Had battery issues with his phone and he was told his phone was useless and he'd need to purchase a new phone. He ended up taking his phone to Best Buy Verizon instead and the rep there helped him resolve his battery life issue. read more

I did not like this store, found it near my work project and wanted to activate my old iphone phone for my daughter, I was under impression that I was dealing with Verizon directly but I was wrong. Got the phone hooked up to my plan eventually but as I was waiting the sales rep kept asking me personal questions which I really did not like, questions like what I do, where I work etc. at the end of interrogation the sales rep wrote down my phone number into his personal cell phone number which I also did not like, I asked why they are doing this - he said he'll let me know about this special promotion, I'm not sure why they did that if they are representing Verizon, don't they have this information in the system? I asked for a tempered glass screen for the phone to be installed, it was $50 with installation, I knew that it's overpriced but decided to go for it knowing that it will be installed properly, once, as I really didn't want to deal with it. Left the place and had a receipt emailed to me with few weird charges, it was not a receipt from Verizon, this is a completely different business. I checked the screen protector and it was installed off center which really looked bad, I came back and asked to remove the screen protector as it was off center but was met with attitude and unwillingness to deal with my problem. They said that will order a new protector and I would need to come back to pick it up, I said replace it with new one then but they said no as they did not have another one in stock. I really wanted to return it because these tempered glass protective screens are only $7 on Amazon, for $10 you will receive 3 of them. I asked for refund again and again until they found a different screen protector and installed it properly. I did read other reviews just now and I think the guys that work there are ok but I believe the management is making them do these weird things and tricks to get the sale, good people working in a bad business. Essentially there are charges on top of charges and on top of charges, it's not a real Verizon, whatever you are buying there - you are paying 7 times more than it actually costs. $50 for a screen protector that costs $7. Really? No returns, no exchanges, just don't come back! read more

***this is not an official Verizon store*** (wish I would have realized this yesterday) and the manager of this store is a straight up con artist. He charged my dad and I for two different in-store "services" that we did NOT discuss or agree to after we both purchased a new phone. He was able to get away with it by not providing an itemized receipt at time of payment. He told my dad it would be emailed to him. Of course it wasn't. The manager also told my my current iPhone would be worth a credit towards my new phone. Then later he said it would only be valid on in-store accessories, not the new phone itself. Not sure why the story changed there. Thankfully at that point I just decided to keep my old phone. The manager of this store is deceptive and I urge everyone to avoid this store at all costs. My dad is filing a fraud report with his credit card company, he has already reported this store to Verizon corporate, and is also filing a Better Business Bureau complaint. read more

Do not go here. Brian is super shady and will rip you off. They will upsell you and tell you things that are not true to get you locked in to things you can't get out of. I'm an ATT customer but something was wrong with my Galaxy so I thought maybe they could do something for me since ATT always tells me to contact customer service. The person who helped me I believe his name was Jeremy was very helpful and actually accommodated to my needs. His store actually had my phone in stock and was able to get me a replacement on the same day! He was even able to get me a better data plan with Verizon for a lot cheaper than AT&T. Very happy with the service I got from Jeremy and wasn't pressured to buy anything but I honestly knew I had to get a new phone nonethess so I'm glad he was able to make my problem painless and convenient to fix! read more

I had a very bad customer service issue. This occurred on August 7th at 12 noon PST. I called the 800 customer service service number. My wife's phone could not receive calls, it would say "You have reached a restricted number and disconnect." My wife has major medical issues and needs to have phone access. The first person I called told me a technician would have to assist me. I was transferred. I waited 18 minutes, then hung up. I had to get on the road to work, which is a one hour to one hour 15 minutes to get there, 405 freeway! I called back while I was driving to work. I was transferred again and waited another 22 to 23 minutes. I hung up. I called back a third time and asked to speak to a manager. Before I was transferred, I asked, "Who are you transferring me too?" She told me, "I donot know." Now what happened next was just malicious. I was transferred to a credit repair phone number! Now as you can see I an now what, one hour 10 minutes into this. I called back and said, "Oh what is this mess with Keith" day? I have been a customer for nine years at Verizon. I called back again and had to wait 33minutes before I was helped. All three to four person's I talked to where female. You need to get WOKE on your customer service Verizon. This in unacceptable and your employees should not be able to get away with this. I will now write another review but this one will be positive because the issue was resolved. read more

Can you believe it?? A 5-star review for a VERIZON STORE?? We've been Verizon customers for many years & we have never gotten what I'd call great service when coming into any of the stores or service over the phone. On the phone, someone is always trying to sell us services or plans we don't need and at the Verizon stores, we've had really miserable service. We never used to go in there unless we knew we had the next 2 hours free, knowing it was always a long and torturous process. Until now. The employees at the Sloat Blvd. store are great. Knowledgable, articulate, helpful and seem to be very honest. One employee, Mike is a gem. The guy always has a smile on his face and a pleasure to work with. He listens, offers exceptional service, does what he says he's going to do and somehow in addition to all that, REMEMBERS HIS CUSTOMERS' NAMES, which, let's face it, is remarkable. We will keep coming back there just because of him. What bumped this review up to 5 stars? Mike actually called us two days after we left the store to make sure everything was OK. Like I said, he was amazing, though everyone we've dealt with at that store is great. It's so unusual to have good service at a Verizon store, as you can see by the stellar 1 and 2 star reviews across the board at all their stores. I received a defective IPhone 5S during a recent promotion, and after several frustrating and lengthy phone calls with Verizon customer service, I was almost ready to end my 10 year relationship with the company. However, the store manager of this location, William Lubeck, restored my faith in the company by spending two hours on the phone with Verizion tech support running tests and resetting my phone until the problem was resolved. William went above and beyond to give me the best possible customer service, and has promised that if the issue continues, I can personally call him and he will get a new phone sent to me. I went in to upgrade my phone. I was hoping to pay for it up front but the manager just assumed I wanted payments spread out over 24 months. So now I have to wait 30 days until I can pay for the entire phone. THEN, he proceeds to tell me he can't activate my phone because he forgot to turn off two factor verification. So, I have to go home and call apple support. Next, I realize that my phone can't make any calls so at this point I go to a different Verizon where they tell me the manager of this store FORGOT TO PUT IN A SIM CARD. Oh, and he also charged the wrong phone to my account so I have to go back and fix that. Avoid this Verizon at all costs. The employees are incompetent. read more

My daughter got a 'free upgrade'. Later I get a call from Verizon Wireless. Seems A Wireless did not send in her old cell phone and now we are being billed over $350 to pay the difference. The store manager could only mutter over the phone and say she had to talk to the district manager even though I clearly had an invoice showing we turned in the old phone to get the 'free upgrade'. I understand the saleswoman who was helping my daughter 'no longer worked there'. Our sales associate? Alora Wolf - also mentioned in some of the complaints. I recently switched from sprint to Verizon. Let me tell you way better customer service. Jeremy helped me through the whole process. He was unbelievably helpful and knowledgeable. I would recommend everyone to go to him. He hooked me up with a Samsung S7 and I even got a tablet! With sprint the customer service was horrible and I doubted that Verizon would be any better but Jeremy turned my attitude right around. It was hassle free and I barely had to do anything! This business is totally unethical and will lie to you about everything. I went to purchase a new phone and the store manager, without my knowledge, sold my partner the Hum for the car. The manager said it would be free, and would not cost me anything for thirty days. I returned the Hum two days later- the guy from the store came out and took it out of my car. I also contacted the number from Hum to cancel Lo and behold, I get billed $160 for early cancellation of the Hum. It turns out the store never entered that I had returned the unit. I spent hours on the phone with Verizon trying to work this out. I never wanted the Hum. Research has revealed that installing Hum messes up your car computer- watch out for this device. I am pretty sure that there must be come commission Verizon pays to reps who sell this item. Watch out for this store- they are not ethical at all. read more

The amazing thing is that he offered to do this, I didn't even ask! I normally don't write yelps, but I thoroughly enjoyed my time at this particular Verizon store. First time I have ever walked into this store and I was greeted and immediately helped. Sara Ou was the one who helped me with my upgrade from the iphone 5s to a 6s, and my time with her was by far amazing. Sara answered any and every question I had, she was patient with me when I had to make last minute phone calls before my upgrade, and she made sure that anything I was signing or getting myself into was something that I fully understood. I was fully informed about everything and anything on my account as well as perks for being a long time member with Verizon. The upgrade process was fast and easy, as well as fun and interactive. Jeremy, the store manager I believe, was also very welcoming and aided me with my screen protector for my phone (Thanks!). Mike Lavalle provided me with exceptional customer service when I went to the Verizon store. I'm 77 yo and not up on all the technical gadgets and systems and Mike patiently explained to me the advantages and benefits associated with getting a new Iphone. I was literally amazed at the time he spent with me and the details he provided. After agreeing to purchase the phone, Mike told me if I had any problems or questions, I could return to the store and he would explain any new systems or help me correct any problems that might occur. The customer service I received was spectacular, and rarely seen in today's retail world. I did return to the store a week later and Mike quickly explained all my questions. Upgraded 2 phones. Specifically asked if there would be an upgrade charge after someone walked in and asked them to explain the $60 fee on their bill (upgrade charge). Was told No, which was false(showed up on my bill the next day). Then a $40 fee was added to the taxes for the phones. Was told this was a service fee and the receipt would be emailed to me. No receipt, no response to phone calls requesting it "the manager will call you back". Contacted Verizon who stated they did not know what the $40 was for and they had no record of the receipt for the taxes. They did agree to wave the upgrade fee, but asked me to talk to the manager to have him put a notation in my records that the fee was waved! And to ask him about the taxes/fee receipt. Finally, considered buying protectors for the phones but found them much too pricey. Had to listen to a rant regarding Amazon putting small places out of business. I felt intimidated and scammed. read more

Do NOT waste your time and money at this store. The people who work here do not know what they are talking about and in fact, lie. I called here on Black Friday last year and was told they were doing a promotion for a free galaxy s7 with a contract renewal, so I went in, and found out that what I was told was straight poppycock. 3 hours and $300 later I left, FURIOUS, with what I'm positive was a refurbished phone. Surprise surprise, not even a year later, the screen stopped working. I went in this week to get a replacement, where I was told by the only person working there that night that this was Samsung's problem to fix, or I could use my insurance and pay $150 for another refurbished phone. I left, furious again, called Verizon and spoke to a gal who apologized for this stores lies and incompetence, and was overnighted a new phone for free; not because I was mad, but because it was what was supposed to be done in the first place. read more

He explained how to hook up everything with a live demonstration which made it much easier for me to plug and play. To start, this review is getting a star, because the no star option is not available. I went in to upgrade my phone and Apple wouldn't accept cash for the new iPhone, so I walked out, but not before giving them all my information for the upgrade. A couple of days later I went to an OFFICIAL Verizon store and they told me they couldn't upgrade my account because this store put the order in for the iPhone without my permission and it was pending. When the Verizon store contacted this illegitimate store, they denied the transaction and acted like they couldn't find it in their system. It wasn't until I threatened to involve the cops before they magically found the transaction and dropped it. Go 2 miles down the road to Stonestown Mall, they have an official store. I vowed yesterday to tell anyone that would listen about my experience. Hopefully it will save someone a lot of money, time and headaches. read more

I"m unable to give no star, so I am giving it 1 star. This is the worst company ever. This isn't a verizon store, so any phones you buy from them will not be supported by calling Verizon. My husband purchased a phone for me for Christmas but they didn't have the 32g like I wanted. They told him to just take 16 g and come back two days later when they have the shipment. I called the next day and they do not know when they are receiving a new phone. I can't go to another Verizon store because I purchased the phone at this shitty place. They charge a $100 restock fee for refunds which I would rather pay then be tied to this company. Safe yourself the trouble and just go to a real verizon store. It is just not the trouble. read more
