Went on 11/7/2020. The gentleman was really nice and seemed really helpful, but my order for a new phone never went through. He said they didn't have the phone in store so we had to order it but it would be shipped to my house and a week later trying to figure out why my order still says processing. I've been on the phone for over 2 hours and they're finally seeing the store never finished issuing the order so it's like partially there. I went into this Verizon around 230-3pm on Sunday 12/3. The staff was really nice. I was immediately greeted by a very nice gentleman (I'm sorry I forgot your name) who had me sign in. I was helped really quickly by Hannah who went above and beyond to help me pick a case and glass protector for my phone. She was really friendly and we chatted about Dr. Who, which was awesome. Bought Hot Spot Jetpack couple weeks ago and it stopped working so went in on Saturday to try to take care of it, a store employee tested my device and told me that it was defective and they will mail me a new one in a couple of days. Received new one in a mail as promised but not a whole new one as promised ( in this one was no battery which was an original problem ), called customer support they could not figure out where they can get me a battery from......waste of my 2 hours.....finally told me to go back to the store and ask them for the replacement battery. Went back this evening wait time 30 mins (but while you wait an employee has time to play on her phone while customers wait) they can't do anything here as support team promised. Called support team back wasted another 2 hours on the phone with them....and issue has not been resolved, I have to wait until tomorrow....terrible service. On the top of it while I was in a store with my 6 y.o. she needed to use a restroom , and I have been told that she can't use the store bathroom because it's for employees only BUT couple weeks ago when I was buying things from the store we could use the restroom.....this was a total joke on their side. read more

Horrible manager. He shouldn't be running the store. My husband purchased an iPad mini for me. He specifically told them he is buying it as a gift and wasn't sure if I'd like it. When I went back to exchange it for iPhone, they wanted to charge me 35 bucks restocking fee. We didn't even open it - they did. Buyer beware. It's in the fine print but they don't tell you. After over 10 years with Verizon this is how they treat their customers. Their online reps on the other hand are very pleasant. I was able to get their online rep to waive restocking fee. read more

I decided to leave Verizon in order to be able to bundle my wireless, internet and TV into one carrier and save over $200 a month. That was done on 12/31/16. As we all know, each carrier has a buyout program. I was waiting for my final Verizon bill in order to submit for my buyout visa cards. In the mealtime I wanted to make my payment to Verizon so I wouldn't get behind. I went on the Verizon website on 01/16/17 and made a payment. I received an email confirming the payment. I waited several days figuring my account was being finalized. Several more days went by and the payment never posted. I logged on again on 01/26/17 and found out payment was returned and not accepted. I made an additional payment at that time and it was accepted. At that time I figured my final bill would be coming shortly. Well today I received a collection notice from Vantage Sourcing demanding the full balance. I called and the lady informed me my account was sent to them on 01/25/17. I never even received a final bill. I called Verizon and got bounced between 3 different departments and no one knew anything. What I was told was that my final bill was mailed on 01/22/17. So let me get this straight... I close my account on 12/31/16, attempt to make a payment thru your website and get a confirmation and then you return my payment and I make another payment and get sent to collections less than 1 billing cycle from closing my account...??? And come to find out you sent my final bill on 01/22/17 and sent me to collections 3 days later. I question whether or not that is even legal and will be looking into my rights as a consumer and will pursue any and remedies available. read more

Illegal business practices at Verizon Wireless in San Marcos. I purchased phones as part of a promotion that included a Smartwatch. But they were out of stock but would ship one in 4 months in time for Christmas. 4 months later they told me the phone had never been ordered! Then they claimed that the day I purchased their phones, the deal with the Smartwatch expired despite their staff continuing to promote it, and they would only give me a watch at full price! Avoid Verizon Wireless at all costs. read more

This place is a hard selling joint. Fast paced with lots of commotion and up-selling going on. These folks get commission on anything and everything they can sell. I was given a "free" tablet with my new cell phone - but find out that I'm paying for it - monthly! Hello? Free? Why would I want to pay for a tablet when I just bought a smart phone that can do everything but boil water?? Plus I have an iPad, two laptops and a stand alone! I wasn't thinking - obviously. Looking down this review list, there is justification for just one or two stars that litter this place. The service is terrible. The manager is (well, I have nothing civil to put here). We got a phone here that appears to be incompatible to every bluetooth device in the world. I had to fight tooth and nail to have this phone replaced with a different brand and model that does work. Michael, the manager, had only one solution which was to sell me more stuff. Replace everything except the phone (including the car?). He was more than happy to sell me new stuff rather than fix the main problem which was the phone itself. His attitude was deplorable and his problem solving skills non-existent. They kept dragging out more products to solve the problem. Verizon is overpriced to begin with and I'm not about to replace every bluetooth device in my life just to satisfy his solution. I have wasted HOURS here and replaced this phone 3 times now with no success. If you want service, and if you want problems solved, you should try another store. To add to the testimony of bad service here, my wife went in to pay a bill. She was told that he'd be right with her and then he proceeded to help other customers that came in after her. As my wife was walking out in frustration, the guy hollered for her to wait. Too late, patience was gone. When I went in to see to this faulty phone, this greeter guy took my name and said there were 2 customers ahead of me. I'm looking around at 6 employees with tablets in hand just flapping their jaws. It was too early in the day for either break time or shift change. read more

The customer service is atrocious here! It doesn't stop here either. I called customer support initially so I could receive a final bill in the mail since I cancelled service with Verizon. After being transferred to three different departments, they told me that was not possible. They could only accept payment for the final bill but not send me a paper statement in the mail. I went to the store to speak with someone directly. Chris was so condescending and rude. Instead of taking the time to hear me describe what I needed to provide to my new provider so that I can be reimbursed, he just kept telling me it's not possible. He was more concerned with his buddies than me, as the customer. As someone who works in customer service, if I acted like that, I wouldn't have a job anymore. I will NEVER work with Verizon again. They have become too big for their own good. If I could give them zero stars I would. read more

I entered the store at opening and it was not a busy time. I had a problem, where I lost all my contacts and went to see if they could help. I got no greeting from the man in the "gray shirt" and when I told him what had happened he said "can't help you" I proceeded to explain some more and again "can't help you" this went on.... I came into the store wanting to upgrade my phone and I new exactly what I wanted, even made an appointment ahead of time. I was greeted about 5 minutes after walking into the store and was informed I would be helped soon. 10 minutes later I was checked in and told to have a seat. About 45 minutes after my appointment time I was still not approached by a representative. When I spoke to someone I was told they were running behind and I had asked if there was a point to making an appointment. I was finally seen an hour after my appointment time and was sold my phone. During that process I was not asked if I wanted them to transfer it over nor if I new how to transfer it over independently. They sold me the phone and had me on my way. There was no point to complain because the store manager did not seem suitable to be a store manager. Maybe they were having an off day, but I will not be going back to that location. read more

I would not recommend anyone purchase accessories here. At the time of sale, they promise the world but when you have an issue within the year warranty, they deny the warranty and tell you to go to the manufacturer. Verizon tracks all your purchases and can easily pull up receipts or relevant information. read more

My daughter, mom and I went in for a new family plan. We traded in our phones, my daughter was promised $200 for hers, moms $100 and mine was $100. My mother received her $100 but my daughter and I have not received the money promised to us for our phones. This was in Nov 2014. We have called the store numerous times and we have also called corporate numerous times. There response to us is let me investigate and I promise to call you back. They do not call us back. We have to repeat our story over and over again. I had no choice but to give them 1 star, they do not deserve any. I have been a long time customer. Hey so all I gotta say is awful service. I was trying to pay a bill for my mom cuz she had a stroke and they tried pushing me to do the self serve. I have no problem with self serve since I do that with my own account but I had no problem doing this transaction this at another Verizon location by just giving them my moms phone number to pay it. Verizon is so expensive for such limited data plans. I know they have the best connectivity but they really need to offer an unlimited data plan. Until they do, we are switching to T-Mobile. It sucks to leave Verizon, but nowadays, 20-24 gigs of data (shared) per month just isn't enough!!! So bummed. read more

Don't bother going into this store your better off ordering on line or by phone. If you do make sure you know as much as you can about your account, cell phones and various plans, etc. Either they don't know or they intentionally mislead you on the facts. They also try to sell you accessories you don't need or want. Don't seem interested in providing good customer service. Check out all the Yelp reviews. Its true! I see 12/12/13 that Walmart is selling the I-Phone 5s for 127.00 and the tax is on the 127 not on the full price of the phone. Just wanted to get the word out that last Saturday my wife and I got 5 star service from Andres Reyes when we bought the Verizon "Hot Spot" for our 2 smart phones and also to be used for our home Wi-Fi access. Andres knew the Verizon product lines very well and explained without sales pressure all our options. We felt that this experience thanks to Andres was outstanding! I waited for about 15 minutes then a young lady asked if she could be of help. She expertly went over the options and pricing plans. She was extremely pleasant and eager to help. My family and I have been with Verizon for 12 years now and I have to say I have never received bad customer service either from representatives on the phone or in store. A trip to the Verizon store was in need so the other day, I, along with my two daughters went in just to look at phones for our daughters, get some prices and information. That's it. I was just looking for info. We were approached by a very nice young man, Christopher Samuel and told him all I need at the moment is some information and not looking into purchasing a phone that day. He was so accommodating and answered every question I had. There was not a moment that I felt rushed or felt like he was pushing to try and get me to purchase a phone. Chris was so patient and very helpful. He checked things on our account thoroughly to see what discounts/benefits best fit our needs. Again, never did I feel like I was just a number and they were trying to get from one customer to another as quick as they could. In the end, we left and thought about our decision that night to purchase phones for our two daughters. We decided to get the phones and came back the next day and Chris helped us again. The customer service we received from Christopher was excellent! If you need to go to the Verizon store here in San Marcos, please see Christopher Samuel. He will help you with your cell phone needs. I'm not a regular Verizon customer but recently visited this location to get my Dad a new phone. The "solutions Specialist" that helped me was: Christian A. Hands down he was the best cell phone rep that I have worked with. He was sincere about helping me, not just interested in the "big" sale.I actually ended up buying a better phone with his no-pressure help. He was a breath of fresh air. Call me jaded but I have met plenty of the fast talking sales folks that seem to only be interested in how much they can get you to spend. read more
