I purchased my iphone 5 at this location in July and had an awesome experience! However my iphone stopped working a couple of weeks ago, so I went in to see what the problem was! After hanging out for about 30minutes, I decided to leave my phone there and come back. When I returned the manager on duty suggested that I make an appointment at the Apple Store to get a replacement. I followed his instruction and drove to Fashion Valley. Needless to say the Verizon store should have replaced it, as it was still under was still under warranty! read more

The Santee Verizon Store is the worst! Previously I bought my I Phone and the girl lost all of my contacts and set my phone up wrong. She had no clue what she was doing. Today against my better judgement I went back to the Santee Store. I bought a watch and it could not be paired to my I Phone because I had not done the updates (bad on me), in the end I asked for my money back and FRANK THE MANGER (who is a joke) would not give me all of my money back. I had not taken possession of the watch, I had not even touched the watch - but he can charge you at HIS DISCRETION if there will be a restocking fee of $35. He didn't like my husband and I because we got upset and were not quiet about it, so he charged me $35.00. He did not have to charge that, he chose to charge us. I called Verizon Corporate and I now have a $35 refund from them. So I do win in the end. I want to warn you NOT TO GO TO THE SANTEE VERIZON STORE IN THE SANTEE TOWN CENTER LOCATION. Stay away from FRANK, the manager as he will charge you if he can. Frank has no idea about what customer service means. I will be ending my relationship with Verizon because of FRANK THE MANAGER AT THE SANTEE STORE. I have been with Verizon since 2001. read more

This happened back in Jan/21. One of the worst costumer service experiences I've ever had. First of all, I called ahead of time to make sure that the store does take walk-ins, which they say they do. So I went to this Verizon (Santee) store with my mother and at the front door we see a sign that reads "wait outside for assistance." It's raining outside with no cover and we don't see any other customers inside with the 2 employees we see so we decided to walk-in. Upon entering we received no greeting nor welcome, instead we received "one of you must wait outside because we can't have more than 7 people in the store at one time." At first I thought this employee named "Tony" was joking because there was only 4 people including us inside at the time. Tony then says something like "we have other employees here in the back room and due to covid one of you has to wait outside because I can only handle one customer at a time." Which is ridiculous because my mother and I were there together for the same reason, getting a new phone. Anyway I give my mother my car keys so she can be inside my car and out of the rain because of how stupid and inconvenient this store's policy is. Then 3 other employees come out of the back room doing nothing but goofing around together, while Tony is telling me this and that about trading my phone for the upgrade which I came there to do. But I all can think about is how full of CRAP this place is and the lack of RESPECT from their employees. Their idea of customer service is making you do all the work, what they should've done is have one of their employees wait outside in the rain... don't bother wasting your time at this place it's a joke! read more

The reason for one star is I stood in line for a 6 plus for 3.5 hours. I had asked, are you sold out, I will not order, so please let me know so I can leave. Oh no, we have a lot. They were sold out and as soon as I got in there they give you the spill on how good it is, put you with a rep, then the rep tells you they don't have any. It made me realize, my time meant nothing to them. What they wanted was the sale for their store. If I ordered it, it would be points etc. So, I will not oder from them. I totally agree with Sarah, about Sonya... and Greg..... :) But I went in because I had just bought a Droid 3 from Greg, and I loved the phone overall. But I wanted to return it because the camera wasn't working properly. Sonya was great, and very patient with everything. I was concerned about loosing my pictures on my phone (since the Droid 3 does not have an external memory card, it is all internal), and she even let me bring my laptop in, plug it up in the back (since my battery was dead) and download my pictures. After trying everything with my old Droid 3, it was determined that it was something wrong with that particular phone, and she changed it out right there, no charge to me. And it was nice that I didn't have to wait for a warranty claim in the mail. read more

Awesome staff, they helped me pick out a hotspot, and were amazing customer service and when the hotspot didn't work, not only did they take the return no problem, they even credited me back the bill that Verizon charged me which I thought was ridiculous. I called verizon's 800 number first and the guy was rude and said there was nothing he could do. Called the store and they took care of me. If I ever switch to verizon, I will use this store! read more

He spent an hour on the phone with another helpful agent in the corporate office trying to unravel our case. I just bought the new Droid X at this store and had a great experience. I hate writing reviews but when i looked up the store's phone # online i saw the negative reviews and figured i'd throw in my 2 cents. I dropped in last night while the staff was very busy with customers and trying to prep for the next day's roll out of the new Droid. Even though the manager (sorry, i don't remember his name) had his hands full with setting up the new display he answered all my questions about the phone, went and grabbed me the demo phone to check out and gave me the 411 on the procedures for getting the phone the next day. After only about 5 minutes in the store another gal came by to see if i wanted to pre-order the phone right away or wait until the next day. After she explained the difference i decided to come back at 7 am to get one. On to the next day...there was a line at 6:30. We worried that it would be unorganized when the doors opened and people started wandering about. Would they keep good track of who was in line first? Before 7 the manager came out (same one from closing the night before) and made a list, in order. 5 minutes later they let us in and there were plenty of people working. I was about 8th in line and was helped immediately by David. He was quick, friendly, knowledgeable and while he did point out some of the main accessories for the phone he was not pushy nor did he mention anything that was frivolous. These are all items i always purchase with a new phone. So it was a great experience. They were fast, friendly and most of all, prepared. Nice work. I have to say I usually hate going into phone stores because everyone attacks you the minute you walk in. So walking into the Verizon Santee Store was a shocking surprise! They just have you sign in at first on their computer and then you wait for them to call your name. But the best part about that was, when I walked in all they said was hello! They did not try to rush me or start pressuring me to start looking at products. This review is written on behalf of a friend who was treated very rudely on 9/9/17 at approximately 1:00 p.m. My friend needed assistance with a new phone. Other customers were present in the store. My friend's phone was in a Verizon box, but she had purchased it at Costco. When my friend asked for assistance, the manager loudly and repeatedly told my friend that she bought a "cheap phone". This unprofessional behavior embarrassed my friend. VERIZON CORPORATE - do you have a policy of encouraging your store employees to be rude to customers who purchased their phones elsewhere? I had a terrible experience at the Mission Valley store when I needed to buy a SIM card for the iPhone I bought directly from Apple. Like me, my friend has been with Verizon for years. If I can't find a store that treats me courteously when I need a new SIM card again, you're losing a customer. Came here today with my aunt to help resolve a cracked screen issue. The associate let us know the insurance deductible was more than the cost of a new phone, and helped us pick out an upgrade instead. Luis worked diligently to make sure my aunt got the best deal possible and helped her to trade in a new phone to help out. His customer service was top notch, which frankly, is not something I've been accustomed to at this (or any) Verizon store. This verizon store was my life saver! My bf and I came here after a week of trying to upgrade his phone with the mission valley verizon store. Let's just say it was the MOST hassle I have ever had to deal with. I spoke to over 20 representatives from assumption of liability reps to customer service reps. I finally decided to go to a corporate store after taking to my last Verizon rep the day before. I was helped by Hugo!!! It was so great. He understood my frustration, we did have a little issue which wasn't his fault just technical stuff but after about 45mins we were able to leave with the iPhone 7 plus my bf wanted! Hugo even apologized for the wait but to us it was a flash as we spent over 2 hours in the mission valley store a couple times in a week, he even opened the door when we left (talk about customer service) the store it self was busy but hey it was a Friday night. Terrible service, they were dismissive and unfriendly. I was told I could not purchase a new iPhone 6 at retail, because I wasn't upgrade eligible, I was told I would have to go through apple. Beware of concealed charges for out of country use of your iPhone from Verizon. I got hit with an unexpected bill for $1,200 for 10 days in South America because I did not fully understand the complex billing systems Verizon uses now for messages and data pushed though from my several email accounts, internet access, and texts. Two years ago, I paid a flat rate of $69 per month for unlimited internet and data use. Since then, I use the major name Modal.com phones which is pay as you go with none of the nasty international charges that hit me. Our company will be dropping Verizon for our 37 iPhones after our contract expires is 8 months. The staff of the local stores are pleasant enough. It is just the business practices of their employer with which we have a problem. read more

Went to this location to get new phones with my brother a few days ago. We ended up getting 2 galaxy note 8 phones plus bunch of accessories (wireless charger, otterbox cases which were the wrong ones, etc.) Well we walked in got helped pretty fast. But got the feeling as we were bugging him with our questions. We were asking what features an differences there were between old and new phones prices in most they payments stuff like that. By the end we walked out with a hum accessory for our cars which we Palin as day talked about using the car diagnostic feature on my car he led us to belove we were getting that option got home to realize it just has the tracker and the discounts from store near us options we have to pay more for the other stuff we talked about it having I front of him with no correction to us on his part. We were in a hurry so we said we would activate it ourself an the guy looked as he was in relief he didn't have to help us much longer. We got home the cases he sold us were the wrong ones we got the note8 phones 2 of em and the csmases we got were for the galaxy s8 style phone which is smaller than the note8 not by much so we didn't notice it as a sales rep an ringing them up he "did not notice". The very next morning (which is less than 4 days ago from today 7/13/18. I dropped my phone and it cracked and chipped the back of it. So now I have a $800 brand new broken note8... so then I went back yesterday to swap out cases and got another rep an this guy acts the same way. When I'm told I'll ha e to pay 43.99 to swap out the cases when there was a 9.99 proce difference cuz we got the cmforst cases with the promotion. Idk we been customers 5 yes pay payment on time and now I feel like switching companies I talked to t mo ike and they said they would ha e upgraded us to the ten dollar more o es dude to the circumstances and the rep not paying class enough attention to notice we had the wrong cases . But you gotta love being locked into a plan right. Over all Verizon gets a 10 for phone service but customer service I give a low 2 cuz both times I want happy and usually I leave felli GB good about my purchases. I felt ripped off yesterday. One of the most rude and arrogant stores! No customer service at all! I was one of the unfortunate to own an exploding phone (Note 7). When I tried to replace it, the first time, I had called ahead to ask them if they had a blue one in Stock...he had answered yes. When I got to the store, I was met by a dweeby guy who insisted that I hadn't called ahead. THEY HAD NO NOTE 7's! He then told me to just hand over my phone and they will let me know when one comes in. I asked, "the blue one"? He said I had to take whatever came in or I'd be charged the restocking FEEL (on a DEFECTIVE PHONE)!! I then asked him to call the El Cajon store to see if they had any. He did and said they even had the blue one. I asked him if had placed a hold on it for me and he stated no. I asked him to call them to place a hold on it and he also refused... TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Do yourself a favor and don't waste your time at his store...go a couple of miles down the road to the El Cajon store... WAY more friendly and helpful. read more

Going to Santee Verizon is like the dentist. You're probably going to have to go at some point, and it will again hurt. The greeter was nice, but other than that, at least some of the staff at Santee have an appalling lack of respect for customers. This guy we ran into yesterday (a Christopher Walken doppelganger) told us repeatedly we were wrong about our plan being unlimited. I don't think he ever got over finding he was wrong, and it went downhill from there. Really, the rudeness and lack of respect displayed was incredible. The manager of that store is probably not doing a very effective job of training (or choosing) his staff. I'll be sending my concerns to Verizon corporate. Just note that if you go here, be prepared for the associates to display a dismissive know-it-all mentality. And hang on to your wallet, as their primary directive is sell. I had a phone that had a hardware failure and was a few months outside of the contract date. I called customer service to see if they would waive the early upgrade and let me get a new phone "penalty free" - they were more than happy to since I've been with Verizon since forever. I asked "I really need this phone for tomorrow - I use it for work. Can I order it online and pick it up at the store?" The customer service guy said "I think so, but call the store to be sure." I gave the Santee store a quick call and laid out the same information and asked "can I order and pick up from you?" and the person on the other end said "sure" And that, ladies and gentleman, is where the nightmare began. Now I should have known better, as I've walked out of this store in the past due to their horrible customer service (Hi, I'd like to buy a new phone. Sure, wait over here for 90 minutes) but they are the closest to me and I figured they had to have gotten better. Wrong. I go to the store, get help right away. So far so good! Guy goes in the back and grabs the phone... and comes out with a basket full of upsell items. Phone, case, screen protector, a Bluetooth speaker for the love of *insert favorite deity*! As I'm gearing myself up for a whole lot of "no, I just want the phone" answers the guy brings up my account and says "oh, you're not eligible for a phone." I explain the whole corporate waiver thing and he just looks confused and brings over a manager. Manager listens to everything and says "yeah, we never do that." I explain how I called to make sure that they did, in fact, do *that* and he says "no one at this store would have told you that." So we go back and forth including getting corporate on the phone and they will not budge. Manager says "you can pay the $150 fee..." No, I have that fee waived. "not by us." I explain again how I need a phone for the next day and he offers to sell me a cheap phone, for $50. "That will save you $100" No, that will *cost me* $50. So I left. Went somewhere else and bought a burner for $20, went home and called corporate again. Corporate was wonderful, and said "we will overnight you a phone" Awesome. "Oh, we have a problem. It shows you picked up a phone at a store already." SON OF A BISCUIT!! No, I never got the phone. The corporate lady says "I'll call the store and get them to correct it so we can finish this" She puts me on hold and comes back on the line a few minutes later and says "they won't cancel the order. I asked them to and they said it will cancel by itself in 24 hours. I told them I was trying to get you taken care of now and they still wouldn't do it." &#*@!!! I will never go in here again. If my car and my phone both break and I have to walk 10 miles barefoot over rocks to get here, I will continue on and walk the extra distance to go somewhere else. If my appendix suddenly bursts and the best surgeon in the world is inside this store, I'll take my chances with a spoon and a rusty butter knife. My advice to you if you find yourself near here - run. Run far, run fast. There are other places. read more

I have been a loyal customer with verizon for over 13 yrs. Yesterday I was in the santee location to upgrade my phone. When I walked in I wasn't greeted, no big deal I understand when people are busy trying to work. Well after 10-15 minutes I was finally asked what I was in for. I told the man the man checking in people that I was looking for a new phone and he put my name on his tablet. After being there another 25 minutes I noticed that several people that just walked in were going ahead of me. I walked up to the man and asked if he thought my name was skip. I asked if he forgot I was there and his reply was I was next. I told him that I should have been next 4 people before. I was pretty upset at this point and my son was with me which just made the situation even worse. I do not have a complaint with verizon, just the store that I went to. For the most part I have been satisfied with customer service from verizon but this man working there really needs to pay more attention to whats going on around him. I'm not a fan of any place that constantly seeks to sell you more stuff than you need, but I've come to accept it in the technology marketplace, and it's why I try to avoid upgrading anything anymore than I absolutely need to. In this case, I was making an exception, and ready to upgrade my old iphone to a new one. To make a long story short, the customer service seemed speedy and friendly. The salesman I was working with lined out what I would pay out the door and such, but he tried to get me to enroll in this Verizon Edge plan. Given that I never upgrade, this not worth it for me. I asked the salesman specifically what the catch was, as he had presented this as a much cheaper option. I went home without buying anything because it just didn't seem right. Sure enough, the salesman either had no idea what he was talking about or was lying to my face, to the tune of what would have been $400 MORE out of my pocket. I decided my old phone is just fine. I really hope the time will come when people stop upgrading every six months and actually make these places work for your business. read more

what. a. joke. i am furious. my phone stopped working out of the blue,just stopped getting service. i went to the store, and the kid there was clueless. basically told me he couldn't help me, just go to the apple store. then, tried a new sim card. that didn't work. left me on my own to call their tech support from their phone. store wifi is too slow to back up my phone. so, they send me home to back up my phone and call support to walk through the reset process. and now, their activation server is down and wont let the phone reset at all. total incompetence on every level from store employees to tech support. so, tomorrow I'll have to waste another complete day trying to fix their mess. First let me start by saying the second u walk into this store u can tell there is organization. They take ur name down if busy and the wait wasn't that long even though there were close to 10 customers and maybe 5 employees. When is was our turn I was currently on the phone with Verizon customer service(I cant remember the awesome women's name) checking on an ongoing issue and Samantha was great. She was very thorough in explaining what I needed and what I could do all while I was on the phone with Verizon (Awesome Verizon Lady). Samantha went above and beyond her job role to keep me as a customer along with Awesome Verizon Lady. Once everything was settled I had to leave to return my phone at another location and I let her know when I was on my way back to the store and the second I walked in everything was ready to finish the process. It would have been so easy for her to just say go back to the original store but she didn't. Samantha truly cares for her job and this location and Company should be proud to have her as a Verizon employee. And as for Verizon customer service, I have never had an outstanding experience over the phone....u could hear the true concern and need to make things right. Went in with my wife and two daughters yesterday to upgrade everyone to iPhones (something I have been dreading for a while). We have purchased our phones at the same location and have been Verizon customers for about seven years. In the past, I have left the store satisfied sometimes, and frustrated other times. This time I was expecting to lose my temper over some unknown aspect of the process, but that really was not the case. Armando was the person helping us out, and he did an excellent job in being patient with us, answered all of our questions, and generally made the experience pleasant (aside from dropping nearly $800 on four new phones). He made sure everything was working properly before we left the store, and even transferred the contacts on all four of our phones. Other than some Verizon home phone service, he really did not try to "up sell" any pricey accessories or try to convince us to change our plan. Hopefully there will not have to be a return visit to deal with any issues on any of the phones, but if there is, expect an update to this review... read more

Don't go here. Everything these guys pretend to do, you can easily do yourself online or over the phone. I've been wanting to switch services, so I stopped in hoping to spend a few minutes with someone who knew what they were doing and could explain my options. After waiting 30 minutes or so, this guy walks up with a tablet, pulls me to a corner or the store, and basically just starts showing me their website. I asked what my total bill would be, and he pulls out the calculator on his phone adding numbers up. The whole thing didn't feel very legit. You'd think as a potential new customer I'd at least get called up to the counter, and helped by someone with some actual knowledge. There was a guy helping some people at the counter when I was waiting to be called, he would've been a way better option. Instead, I get called by this glorified web browser with an attitude (pretty sure his name is Chad). He was incredibly pretentious, and basically treated me like a 2nd class citizen who didn't belong there. I left after maybe 5 minutes of talking to him, realizing my mistake of even walking in that store in the first place. read more

I gave the guy my name and he said the wait time was going to be 25 mins. That's absolutely ridiculous to have to wait 25 mins to purchase a new phone. Verizon is now screwing all customers with grandfathered data plans for additional $20 per month for no reason and for nothing more than greed. I've already explained to Verizon that I do not agree to the increase in price or that they are illegally changing the terms of my grandfather price of my data plan and they've been on notice since November 1 not to change or alter my plan in anyway. I will be seeking legal counsel and filing a class-action lawsuit against Verizon for changing the terms without my consent. Verizon is just greedy and I do not agree with what they are doing. I've been with Verizon for 20+ years and would never expect to be ripped off, now I feel ripped off and betrayed and I now have emotional distress from this change in terms without my consent. I will be suing accordingly once my new bill comes out and I expect others to follow and join me if fighting them in court especially for throttling my plan prior to the CEO announcement in September stating that they stopped throttling customers data. This company is a complete fraud for their actions and misleading advertisements. read more
