We've been to the Verizon Wireless store here when upgrading our phones. This time we had purchased a refurbished phone online and our line was locked when we put in the SIM card because the refurbished one was on the fraud list (previous owner hadn't fully paid for it). George the Solutions Specialist at the store was super helpful, patient and friendly, and spent time on the phone with Verizon techs to get it all sorted out and our line back up. We've had good experiences with the crew here. And thankfully haven't needed help very often. read more

I came into Verizon in a bit of a time crunch as I could only find a 15 min parking meter. Everyone was really kind. They confirmed that I could accomplish what I needed to do that night with the resources I had available. I briefly interacted with Jeff, Robert and one other gentleman (possibly the manager) but the bulk of my interaction was with Omar. He answered all my questions regarding the changes I wanted to make, my options for phones and if there were any savings ( or savings lite ;) through my employer. Initially, there were some issues with inputting my info and Omar went from computer to computer and ultimately he utilized the corporate assistance to finish the task. Omar was kind enough to help me pull up the proper employer information so wouldn't have to return another time to take care of it, saving me some time. It was also nice to crack some jokes with Omar and Robert as it had been a long day of errands. Thanks again for all your help! Bottom line: Store- it's a store; it's fine; it was clean; items were in stock and there is parking behind the building. Staff- very kind, attentive, and knowledgeable. Omar- he's the man! I have been putting this review off for a bit. As I further thought about it, it just does not sit well with me. In today's world, there is no more room for prejudice and hate. I went into this store to look at options for getting a new iPad, but I never expected that the management staff was doing more shopping than the customers. I overheard talk about how another customer was so hot, but it was a shame that he was gay. The objectification is offensive enough, but the hate speech is the disappointing icing on the cake. I wanted to make management aware, but I learned that the manager on duty was the one making these comments. My hope is that Verizon sees this and takes corrective measures so that nothing worse happens in "America's most reliable network." America also relies on corporations to be unbiased. It is a rare employee, especially in today's world of impersonal megacorporations, who can singlehandedly make the difference. Overcome bureaucracy, corporate inertia/indifference, numbingly-complex IT systems and rate plans, and all the rest ... through sheer force of knowledge, experience, will, and commitment to help. My wife and I met such an employee at Verizon this weekend. Over three days, a series of web and network outages paralyzed our attempts to make a fairly complex rebated port from AT&T. A lesser Verizon expert than Dana would have resigned herself to defeat early in the game. A less heartful and committed interpersonal force would have lost us to disgust long before the finish line. Instead, though, she persevered. Utilizing different avenues for reaching people in Verizon accounting and tech support. Working with them to identify alternate enrollment routes. And, giving us the encouragement which kept us from abandoning our provider change and swearing off of Verizon for life. Enormously kind. Enormously effective. Enormously diligent. Enormously caring. Saved what will likely be a four-unlimited-lines-for-decades customer relationship. Our jury is still out on Verizon and its back office systems. However, we're huge believers in Dana ... and the other upbeat and determined staffers we observed in action during our Verizon weekend. Kudos ... and thank you! read more

My experience with Verizon in-store staff has not been great with a few exceptions. I have been with Verizon for years. Today my daughter and I went into Verizon and were assisted by B. Bobby Fadavi. I had the worst experience with this Verizon store starting with the sales associate ending with the store manager. They sign you up for stuff you told them you did not want and at the end you get a big surprise on your bill and there is no way to cancel out the charges. The employees at this location will go out of their way to lie to their customers and get them to sign up for anything to make their commission. Worst experience ever! Do not go to their location you will be lied to! I would really like the upper management of the company to monitor how their little branches are working if they do not want to keep losing customers. read more

Aja just gave me the best customer service of my life! (And I've seen some exceptional customer service!) He was super helpful, made sure we were smiling throughout the whole process of adding a new phone to an account, and did so without selling us on the specials for other devices/accessories. He and Adam, the manager, even hooked it up with a discount on an already discounted tablet for us. Super chill guys who are knowledgable and dependable. If I could give 0 stars, I would. What horrendous customer service. I was promised $50 for turning in my old phone when I went in to upgrade to a new one. The salesman assured me I could use this money towards the price of my new phone. After I went through the transaction to get the new phone, I was suddenly told the $50 is actually a gift card that can only be used for in store purchases or towards my bill - not to the price of the new phone. How is it legal to promise something and then after the fact state "well actually you can't use the money towards the new phone." I asked for a receipt for the "gift card" and received a piece of paper with NO numbers on it or way to redeem. I'm filing a complain with the BBB. On top of this, I wanted to purchase the phone in full and had to argue for an HOUR with the salesman - he wanted me to put the phone on a "lease" and said there would be no change to the bill whatsoever - that I would only pay for the tax of the phone. That logic makes NO sense. How can you 'lease' something and make no payments on it? What a scam. read more

James P. activated my new iPhone for me and there were no hiccups. Actually, there could have been one hiccup in porting my phone number to Verizon but James navigated through the issue with ease. James is knowledgeable and didn't try to upsell me on anything. He just laid out the facts on cost and, after I had gone to the AT&T and Sprint stores to check their rates, I came back to Verizon. James sold me because he didn't hard-sell me (and also because I researched carriers and determined Verizon was the best deal for me). I was due for a new phone and have had such great experiences with this store that I decided to go back. When I arrived, the store was very busy and I was asked to wait for a while. The wait was worth it! TJ Baxter became available and greeted me. He immediately began asking me questions regarding what I like about my current phone and what I was interested in upgrading to. His product knowledge was AWESOME! It was very obvious that he did not JUST want to sell me a phone, but make sure I made the right choice. His style was also very calm, friendly, and engaging. After purchasing my phone, I had to visit the store once more to transfer my contacts over (TJ had asked to do this for me the first time I was in, but I kindly denied as I had somewhere to be). This time, TJ was with a guest and to Jonathan (service) immediately assisted me. Once TJ became available, he approached me and followed up with me regarding my new phone. As we were having our conversation, Jonathan approached me with a big smile on his face along with my new phone with all of my contacts synced. These guys are super friendly and very willing to assist clients; they are not in it for just the money, but to serve their guests with the best of customer service. I like to first start off by saying I'm a loyal Verizon customer for many years. Best carrier and best customer service. This location is my local Verizon store where I always go and purchase my families iPhones, cases , etc. Today I went in to buy my iPhone. Since my family and I are under a business account I forgot I wasn't authorized to buy a phone without one of them being with me. Long story short, I walk in at 7pm (hour before the store closes) and they told me that I'll get called at 7:50ish. While I'm waiting I notice the manager (John) standing by the computer the whole time not helping any customers. There's only 1 sales individual helping people purchase items. I decide to ask the manager if he can help me purchase my iPhone quickly since I've been waiting so long and it was about to be 8pm. He gives me a major attitude real quick stating that there's only one person that handles sales. Him as manager doesn't do sales. He mentioned that he couldn't sell anything. What kind of manager can't help with sales when you see you're understaffed with many people waiting. He also mentioned that his workers need to get commission and that he can't help me purchase my iPhone on his workers behalf. Mind you I'm not even interested in trading my old phone in. I was interested in buying and leaving within 10 minutes. At this point I'm getting frustrated that it's almost 8 and he's still standing doing nothing. I go and ask him if there's anything he can do for me since I knew exactly what I was buying. He gives me a HUGE attitude and couldn't help me. I get that employees need to work hard for their commission to make money, but that's not a way to talk to a customer, especially as a manager. It's already 8, the store closed and I'm waiting for the sales rep to finish his other sale to come help me. Nate, the very nice sales rep finishes with his other customer and comes by to help me. I tell him what iPhone I want, he goes and gets the one. I made a quick payment and finished at exactly 8:15. Nate you were great, thank you very much! When I came in today I had an issue. I came in talked to stephanie and steve. They both identified my issue/ problem I have been having. I was getting the run around from the company for an alternate upgrade. They together figured out a solution for me and the problem. Steve then took care of all the issues from there. Great customer service very polite and got it done asap. Steve showed me some accessories for the phone but due to the lack of selection from verizon wireless I couldnt find a good case for my mom. I've been a Verizon customer for 10 plus years, but I've had a horrible time this past year after ordering my daughter a free Nokia lumina from Verizon about 9 months ago ...terrible phone! Don't get a windows phone, ever, if you want to interact with the general population!!!! After countless hours in the store and on the phone with tech support , customer service, waiting for replacement phone, etc, I was ready to just give up and pay the termination fee and get her a phone through another company. I was pissed that after 10 years of loyalty , and $400 monthly in family plans, no one at Verizon could seem to help me get this lemon of a phone of my hands....until **Jacob***. He worked his Verizon employee magic and got us all set up with a great outcome....He took his time to make sure we were all set up, answered all of our questions...not to mention there was ZERO wait time mid sat afternoon! I went in their store to simply ask an associate to get Verizon to stop sending me emails because I switched services months ago. Associate was short with me and was not able to do what I simply asked. I am still receiving emails and this has been going on for months after I called Verizon's customer service and multiple reply's to their hundreds emails. Terrible branch and terrible company. I went to the Verizon store on Laurel Canyon, and the lazy lumpen who worked there was rude and incompetent. He couldn't activate it either. He suggested I "call Verizon" to fix it. He IS Verizon.. Upgraded my iphone to iphone 11 a few days ago and took it home to activate. Ran into a problem transferring photos so went back to the store today for help. Explained the issue to a female employee. Didn't look at my phone. Didn't touch my phone. "You have a problem with your icloud. You need to go to the Apple Store in the mall." End of discussion. Happened to be in Best Buy a few hours later and decided to stop by their mobile phone dept. AT&T rep saw the problem within 30 seconds and solved my problem within 3 minutes. Unbelievable! This is the second time I've gotten the brush off from Verizon and I've come to understand their business model. Sell the phone but once it's out of the store it no longer has anything to do with us. I went to 2 different other Verizon stores near by in Burbank and a retailer in NoHo, both were zoos, and the staff wasnt even friendly they all seemed overworked and stressed out. Awful store. Never helpful. This is the third time I've tried to get help at this location over the last several years. Avoid this location. If you want a new iPhone you can not look at them in person. You have to buy them based off of pictures online. Make an appt a few days out otherwise you'll wait outside in the heat for 15 mins until someone finally pokes their head out and says nothing they can do. I went to this store at 10:00 am to exchange my Iphone13 Pro into Iphone 13 Pro Max. The Iohone 13 Pro was sent to me by mistake by Verizon. I called Verizon the night before and was advised by the customer service to go to this branch since they still have 2 units of IPhone Pro Max available. As I enter the store, Sales Agent Chris helped me to process the exchange and he asked me for my phone number and information. While Chris was doing the exchange, the Sales Manager butt in and informed me that I have to pay a restocking fee of $50.00. Sales Agent Chris said that I don't have to be charged a restocking fee since it was Verizon's mistake. Manager Mark rudely ask Agent Chris to leave and he will take over the transaction. Sales manager Mark said that I should be charged $50.00 since I opened the box. I asked the manager to show me their policy about "restocking fee due to an open box" Manager took that piece of paper from the box of the Iphone 13 Pro stating about the restocking fee of $50.00 but the reason of open box is not specifically stated. Mark said that I should be paying $50.00 under any circumstances. Since the agent from the previous night said that I should not worry about the fee, I agreed to pay it knowing that I will be credited for the same amount later on. I told him to bill it to my account and he demanded that I should pay it outright which i refused. I told him that i will be calling Customer Service while in the store to settle the issue. As I was waiting for the Customer Service to answer, Mark abruptly returned the box of my Iphone 13 Pro where I am sitting and made a gesture that he will not be continuing the exchange process. This infuriated me and made a comment that Mark is " being a jack ass". I was specific when I told him that I need to resolve the issue of the restocking fee with the Verizon Customer Service. Manager Mark then asked me to leave the store and he said that he will not be helping me anymore and to go some place else. I refused to leave the store until I talk to the Verizon Customer Service. While I was on hold with Verizon CS , Mark repeatedly ask me to leave the store and do my phone transaction outside. ( I have a video tape of this). He called 911 because I refused to leave the store. I finally got hold of somebody from Verizon Customer Service and I think it was Liza (unsure of the name) and I informed Liza about the situation. Liza wrote all the details of the incident and asked me to hand the phone to Manager Mark. Mark refused to touch my phone because he said "there is COVID". I put the phone on speaker instead and Liza advised Manager Mark to just "let us move forward and do the exchange" and Liza informed Mark that the restocking fee is waived. Manager Mark rudely replied to Verizon Agent Liza that he will not be helping me and that I need to leave the store. Liza feels apologetic about the situation and she just advised to go to a different store. This was really inconvenient for me since I drove all the way Burbank to Sherman Oaks just to be treated this way by Manager Mark who obviously lacks customer service skills. His refusal to have a resolution to this very minor problem is a bad reflection to the image of Verizon. He has this attitude of "it is his way or go highway". He seem to be less knowledgeable of Verizon's policies than his subordinates. I regret that Agent Chris did not stand up by what he knows for fear of losing his job. Finally, I decided to leave the store. Just in time, the police arrived and I explained to them the situation. They do understand and gave me his business card and they left. The police did not even bother to talk to Manager Mark. Up to this time, I can not believe that Manager Mark have to amplify to the point of calling the police on me instead of resolving the issue as what Verizon CS agent Liza have instructed him to do, Mark decided to stick to his guns. This is not isolated case and there has been a lot of complaint about the store. Verizon corporate office need to do something about this specifically the store manager Mark. I was really aghast by the way I was treated. I felt like I was treated like a criminal when the only reason I was there is to exchange the wrong device that Verizon delivered to me. I am contemplating of moving to another service provider but I am having second thoughts since the reason may be judt because of improperly trained manager like Mark. I will make sure this incident gets elevated to Corporate Office of Verizon. THIS IS NOT RIGHT AND NO VERIZON CUSTOMER DESERVES TO BE TREATED THIS WAY. read more
