Terrible experience. I came to get a new phone and was attended by an older gentleman that could clearly could use some lessons on customer service. I asked him a few questions about the new phone and service prices, and he kept giving me vague answers, and even lying about stuff he didn't even know just to make a sale. He got bothered when i caught him lying and said I was asking "too many questions. I pointed out that his job was to answer questions, so hebecame increasingly condescending towards me, mocking me and treating me like a child. I wonder how many sales he is going to cost this store. Bought 2 phones with Verizon and a plan. Got the new iPhone 13 in the mail and came to the store like I was instructed by the very nice guy who set up our plan initially. He was not there unfortunately. After waiting for 15 min and showed the guy our old phones and new ones still in the box- he was not helpful. He just told us to go home and set it up ourselves and basically good luck. Thanks guy. I thought part of their job is to actually help you set up your phone but I guess not. I'll just watch some YouTube videos and figure it out because I'm not paying enough for their services apparently. The only reason I'm leaving 2 stars is because the first guy who helped us was kind and awesome. But once they have you as a customer good luck getting any help from them. Definitely not a good first impression of Verizon. This jerk stop talking to us to help someone else figure out the buttons on their phones but nope can't help you set up your new phones. I was added to my company's business account and we had tried several times over the phone with Verizon customer service and they were inept. Went into the Sherman Oaks store and worked with sales rep Matthew. He was wonderful! He spent about 2 hours with us adding new lines to the account, getting new phones, transferring our data over, and even put the phone protectors on the screens and lenses for us. He was very knowledgeable about all the products and was just a pleasure to work with. We are planning on adding some Apple watches and will definitely go to Matthew to purchase them. I have also contacted him with some follow-up questions and he was happy to assist me. It's hard to find good service and I am thankful that Matthew was there, as he is not only nice but gracious to customers. We considered moving to another provider after the call center fiasco, but after his personalized service at the Sherman Oaks store, we decided to stay with Verizon. read more

Rude service. Taking advantage of buyers. When my son brought his phone in for trade in- he came home with paperwork that reads $0 credit but was told that it was a $350 credit. I tried to call to get an explanation for the discrepancy, the employee said that is just the way it's done then hung up on me mid sentence. Do not go to this outlet. It looks like they are having people sign agreements for trade ins with 0 value and no explanation for credits if they are to get it. Bait and switch.... read more

Be very careful with this company. Took them 3 months to get my billing straight. Finally got a bill with charges that were supposed to be right only to find out the buy one get one free promo I was sold was not really buy one get one free but buy one and we'll give you credit for a different less expensive phone. This after the sales person talked me into the iPhone 8+because of the "great" promotion they were running. Very dishonest company !! Response from company is simply not factually correct. I very thoroughly went through the charges with the rep and was specifically told the charges for the second phone would drop off after the first cycles were complete. Absolutely the worst. I have been a customer since long before they were Verizon. LA Cellular, maybe? In any event, I have been trying to port my phone number over to Google Fi for months now and they continue to charge me for a family plan when I have one phone on there and I can't even get calls on it. I owed $81.74 on the device and I was disputing the fact that they have been overcharging me for months. So, turns out, they will not release my phone unless I pay the full amount. Do not waste your time. At Google Fi, I am paying $80 for 4 phones and the service is great. Having said all of this, when I went to the store last night to try to get this resolved, I suspect the person assisting me was just as frustrated with me as I was with him, even suggesting that he would ask me to leave if necessary. After getting a new phone and other toys at the local Verizon by Beverly Center, the day after my new phone wasn't properly working - I found myself at 14141 Ventura store for a follow up visit. The manager, Garik, assisted me in resolving it. He was very welcoming and friendly. Even though I asked for extra assistance setting up some other devices (that I had purchased at another location), he was very patient and made it super easy for me. I have to admit the service I got at this Verizon was the best I have yet to see from any other Verizon stores I've been to in LA! Not only the Manager was great and attentive but his entire team was on top of things! Even the security guy made sure to greet customers and ensured everyone was signed up and updated on the wait progress. Not sure about other reviews but I'm VOTING 5 STAR SERVICE!!! I came here to exchange a phone I recently purchased. Instead of working with me to solve a problem as to why they could not exchange the phone, they just sent me to another store. This was definitely something that could have been done at this store had the representatives cared enough to figure out what the issue was. Ridiculous, I get people are trying to get home but your open til a specific time for a REASON. Could've went to any other store. Spoke with and was helped by Alex and he gave incredible customer service and would recommend everyone ask for him. On the other hand, if someone named Jason tries to help you, ask for anyone else. Alex helped me with a problem and worked to resolve my problem. Jason, on the other hand, refused to help my wife after she purchased a $500 tablet and asked questions that he refused to answer. To be fair, the manager on hand when I spoke with Alex was very helpful. I went into this store a few months ago and was told I was eligible to get $799. Off the iPhone because of a promotion! I was told it would take several months to see the discount on my bill. Now Verizon and this store is claiming I wasn't eligible after all for the promotion!! It's not like I was told you may or not be eligible . I was flat out told I was and would be getting the phone at this discounted price! I would never have bought the phone otherwise! This is very deceiving and not an acceptable way to con customers into a deal they never receive. It seems it would be illegal? This is Verizon's mistake and the customer should not be stuck with the bill. Verizon needs to own up to these mistake. Update I went into the store and Anthony called corporate for me. They said it would be taken care of and that the promotion was all over the notes so they would honor it. Then it was not reflected on the bill and I called again and said it was denied on some technicality of how the report was filed. Called corporate again and they had to call the store and finally the buried notes and the credit of half the amount now shows on my bill with the promise in writing that in May I will get the other half of the credit I was owed by Verizon. When I actually see that credit in May I will be relieved. This was a terrible ongoing customer experience until Anthony at this store and Rachel at corporate finally got it right. It's sad that 3 other people refused to help me with Verizon's mistakes! I'm upgrading to a 2 until May and I see the credits but not happy with what I had to go through. read more

I came into this Verizon store yesterday to add phone onto my personal plan, and Dana initially helped me out. She made it quick and easy. As a business owner, with a limited schedule.... there is nothing I appreciate more than fast, reliable, and professional service. Then, today I realized that I should have gotten the XS Max. So I went back in to replace it.... and both Dana & Garik helped me out. They recommended to switch over to a business account, which not only helped me save a ton of money, but also get the most out of my Verizon service. Like I mentioned before, the one thing I appreciate the most out of any business is the level of service they provide. I will say that HANDS DOWN... out of any Verizon or any cell phone store that I have ever went to, this is by far the best one. Not only have I been extremely happy with my Verizon service since day one, but from now on, this will be THE ONLY Verizon store I go to. My business is with them and them only moving forward. Thank you to Garik, Dana, and everyone else at the store. Highly recommend to switch to Verizon, and come to this store. Plus, you've got Mendocino farms next door (AMAZING). The only star I'm giving is because the people were nice. However, nice does not make up for not knowing what they're doing and nearly destroying my previously perfectly working phone. I don't even blame the staff themselves. This is a corporate Verizon problem. I'm not sure how a company as big as Verizon can not train its staff to know how to set up new accounts on iPhones in a day and age when our phones are so much of our lives. Rather than getting adequate training, the people in the store are left just googling how to do things, and no-one seems to have any idea what they're actually doing. I switched from AT&T to Verizon this afternoon and nearly lost years of data from my phone. YES - the phone was backed up, but with the network change I couldn't even get my backup to restore my phone. Of course I didn't think this would be so awful as I've reset and restored many phones in the past, so I made this switch while all the mac stores are closed and I couldn't even find someone who would actually have some idea how iPhones work and how to get this resolved. It took me over FIVE HOURS to get this phone back up and running, and I spent the night absolutely crushed and infuriated thinking I'd lost not only personal data, but also important professional data. By the time it did work, nearly at midnight, I'd nearly lost my mind. I'm glad it ended up working, but the trauma of this experience was completely unnecessary, and if I had known it was going to be like this I wouldn't have switched. This wasn't worth the $20/month I'm saving. I can't speak on androids, but if you're an iPhone user, I highly recommend you don't bother with a Verizon store, and certainly not this one, because your phone is likely to get f**ked, and no one will be able to help you. Wait until Mac Stores re-open and go get them to set you up. Do better Verizon. You are a company that can invest in training your employees. read more

Would give it less stars if I could! Walked in with a broken Droid X2 (screen just stopped working). We were immediately approached by an associate who greeted us not with a Hi, Welcome, or even a smile. She said "What do you need?" very quickly, as if I was inconveniencing her by being there. Taken aback, i let her know about my phone and she rushed off. I guess that meant someone would be with me shortly? Waited another 25 minutes for an available service rep, who so knowledgeably explained to me that "Yeah sometimes that just happens" when referring to my screen not responding. Cool! Excited to buy more of your products!! The minute he realized I was unhappy he totally checked out. Stopped making eye contact, answered with "Uh huh" and single syllables. I had an upgrade available, and wanted to check out some options. Everything was still outrageously expensive PLUS Verizon now charges a $30 upgrade fee. So....why did I wait for an upgrade in the first place? Basically, the customer service here is terrible, plus Verizon is just starting to get outrageous. Not only did the sales rep (Jason, I believe) flat out make up information about the new Samsung Galaxy S 4 (said that the 32 gig version was simply an S 4 with 16 gig onboard + a 16 gig SD card - which is _not_ how Samsung does their phones), but he was even further wrong - at the time of this writing, there isn't even a 32 gig version available at all. Secondly, they drastically messed up pricing when starting my new service. Should have put me on a family plan with another phone that was already on the account, but seems to have not. Ended up my monthly bill was going to be $238 instead of around $165. That's not a minor mistake. Luckily, I called the 800 number for Verizon and they fixed it. They also suggested calling in was often a better choice than visiting a store. Lesson learned. read more

Once, I went here with a battery problem on my phone. When the tech pulled off my phone case, he cracked it. After a few minutes of putting up a fuss, they agreed to replace the case, but they claimed the only one they had that would fit my phone was this flimsy crappy rubber thing. I wandered around the store, but I couldn't find anything else that would fit, so I accepted it. Yesterday, I went back to upgrade my phone, and I made sure to get a different tech. He told me they couldn't print my receipt for my $500 purchase, but they'd e-mail it to me. I never got the e-mail. So today I called them, and a tech said I could just come in and they'd print it out. I asked why they didn't just do that in the first place, and his answer (I shit you not) is: "The printer's way over in the corner near the fax machine." Is that a legitimate reason? I think the $500 I just gave you is enough payment to walk your ass to the corner and print my damned receipt, right? read more

Strolled in at around 4pm on a Saturday with a laundry list of needs. I needed to: 1.) Switch from my parents plan on AT&T to my boyfriends plan on Verizon 2.) Upgrade the verizon plan to a larger size 3.) Get a new iphone set up on this new plan My boy Franklin was an absolute gem through all of this. I thought it was going to be a long and complicated mess b/c of all the things I needed, but he patiently guided me through each step, and it was a total breeze. Not only did he help me out with the stuff I needed, but he also was helpful in reminding me of things I might want as well. (They've got a deal for a new phone case, a set of glass screen protectors, and a portable battery for $85 +tax that I deff wanted). He also told me about how I could sign up to get a $150 cash giftcard for bringing my line over. I'm an anxious person and I was really expecting the worst in all this, but Franklin made my day (maybe even my month). So refreshing to have such great customer service! read more

I have been dealing with an extremely frustrating situation with Verizon the company (who mishandled a transfer of service).However, Dana went above and beyond to assist me with not only smoothing out the porting of my number, but assisting me with managing selection of devices and navigating everything with Verizon's customer service. She was excellent, and is the only reason I am still a Verizon customer; without her patience and assistance. I would've gone back to another provider. read more

There are 10+ other Verizon stores closer to me, but this location is now the only one that I'll go to. In fact, this is possibly my first and only good experience at any Verizon store. Every other store in the area has customer service that ranges from meh, to outright dreadful; but the people here actually wanted to help me-and did. Mario is the single best Verizon employee that I've ever dealt with (not an exaggeration.) Ironically, he wasn't even a sales person, and just the one that answered my call initially. He set me up with a great sales guy when I arrived and together they helped to get me an insanely good black friday deal on the Turbo 2. The manager Stephanie also seemed happy to help me on the busiest day of the year, and took the time to hear me rant about how great Mario and the others were that helped me. Oh, and they offered me water when I came in. It's the little things like this...no other store cared about my business, let alone my dry pallet. No question, they have earned a loyal customer and I'll be back here for my next phone. read more

I went into this store yesterday to see about updating my phone (current phone: iPhone 4, interested in: new iPhone 6 or 6 plus). Upon arriving, I was told there would be a 30 minute wait by an employee who then asked my phone number and the reason for my visit to the store. I gave my phone number, and said I was there to trade in my current phone in exchange for a new iPhone. I waited 50 minutes before being helped. The store rep who was helping me took the information for my Verizon account (mind you I've been a customer for 10 solid, uninterrupted years). He then took a look at my old iPhone, took my old iPhone to his manager to look at, and then essentially told me it was worthless, which I said was fine (again, I went into the store prepared to purchase a new phone, cost aside). It was only at this point that the rep decided to tell me they did not have either the iPhone 6 or 6 plus in stock. I must've stared blankly at him for just a moment too long, because he got very apologetic and started saying how "the Apple store probably has them... they might not, but they might." My question for you, Verizon Sherman Oaks: why would you waste an hour of a customer's time? Why not tell me upfront you didn't have the inventory necessary to complete my request? I understand that I could've called in ahead of time... but after this experience I have little faith my inquiry would have been fielded with my best interests (#1 being MY TIME) in mind. Considering switching providers. If ten years doesn't mean anything to Verizon, why should it mean something to me? About time I changed my phone number anyway. read more

Robert is the man! Hands down the best cell phone industry employee I've ever dealt with. He really took the time to make me feel like I was a valued customer, and answered all of my questions. We came in looking to get some information about Verizon's rates and phones, being that we were still on Sprint, and left with 2 brand new phones, a bunch of accessories, and about $300.00 in Verizon credit. Impulse shopping at its best, ha! Best of all, we didn't spend a dime. Robert helped us maximize our savings and lock in a holiday special that was on-going. I was so pleased I brought back other family members the same day! About a month later, I had a slight hiccup with my phone (partially dead touch screen areas) and returned to the store. I was helped by another sales rep, but Robert came over to make sure I was being taken care of. He remembered me immediately. This is what customer service is all about. Not only am I getting amazing service now, but I spend less than I was previously. The store is conveniently located on Ventura Blvd, with a fairly large parking garage directly behind it. With a variety of items for sale (Beats by Dre, cases, smartwatches, tablets, etc.). this is a great stop for all your mobile needs. read more

Do local managers have access to their Verizon Store's Yelp? If so could you please update your covid policies, write must make an appointment (maybe with a link). They might now have access, which means corporate needs to follow all local store covid policies and update them which is a mountain so if that's the case... cool As a customer I called the phone number, put on hold, disconnected, realized it would be shorter to drive there and get turned away than deal with Verizon's automated phone service which we all know sucks. They tell me it's appointment only, they are short staffed- understandable. Make appointment. BUT They said I could do it all on the Verizon app, I've been sitting out front for 30 min trying to buy a phones No help from the "live help feature" stop having "no, all set" as my only rebuttal - it's normally no I need more help. I can only save the cart, since I'm not the account manager, they will send an email for them to approve. The email was never sent, account manager logs onto their account to look for it, it says they must CALL VERIZON. 15 min hold, they told account manager they needed the store to verify the application number before I could pick up phone -- that I had to come in person to get that done. So I walked back in to the store... And all of this is totally expected. I don't have any complaints for this particular store, or the people, but I hate that this is the standard of Verizon's customer service. I'm going to get an auto generated reply to this complaint from Verizon apologizing and reassuring that they care about their customers but we all know that's not true. But nothing matters because there are only so many cell phone services out there and we all have to put up with this kind of crap in order to have a phone.
