Went in today to look at the new Note 4 wasn't planning to buy it but I was really pleased with the great customer service they have at this location. The sales rep name is Artin he was patient and helpful with all the questions that I had about the Note 4. He even put on the screen protector on my new phone. So if you are in the market for a new phone/tablet don't hesitate to see Artin. Just make sure you make an appointment to see him. It does get pretty busy in the store. read more

Every time I come into this store it is no less than a 30 min wait to be helped. I see lots of workers but they always seem to disappear into the back to do god knows what for extended periods of time. I just need to buy a new phone. I'm not trouble shooting, I'm not inquiring about plans, I just want to buy a phone. I ended up going to a different store to do so because this place is inept. Hands down Tim is the best!! I usually don't write reviews, I've only written 2 or 3 in my life, but this time I have to. We came to the store right before they were supposed to close, but Tim still spent time with us in order to help transfer our phone service from T-Mobile to Verizon. We couldn't finish the process though, so the next day we did everything over the phone. i don't know what this 1.5 stars non-sense is all about. the last 2 time i was there i had a great experience. there is this kid/guy named Chris. Asian/American guy. this kid is so nice, polite, helpful, knowledgeable, and passionate about what does its amazing. went there the Friday before xmas eve and he helped me out, i went back on the Monday after xmas and I actually asked for him and was willing to wait an extra 20 minutes. any question you ask him, he has an answer for you. he knows his stuff and this store is lucky to have him. the store is clean, organized, and well staffed. read more

Every time I go here, they tell me something that employees at another Verizon store laugh at because it is so wrong. Today my phone was taken over by an alien and filtering through my missed calls on its own and most of the buttons wouldn't work. I go here to try and get my upgrade a mere three weeks early, and the most pompous, unfriendly, and unhelpful ass says there's nothing he can do. Three weeks? I called Verizon to complain about this jerk and they tell me they can connect me to tech support who can more than likely get me an early upgrade which is something they confirm this in-store, emotionless zombie could have done. After attempting to shop in the Encino Verizon store yesterday and being unable to get the attention of any of the sales associates that were not with customers, I jetted over to the Sherman Oaks store and bought my new RAZR MAXX with accessories there. The manager of the store (Jarrod, I think) helped from the moment I walked in the door. He made sure that no one was left standing unattended. The staff was helpful, courteous and friendly. I was told to come back at any time with any questions I may have. This was the best shopping experience I have had when shopping in one of these stores. read more

I am not a 1-star review kind of person. My business relies on Yelp and Trip Advisor reviews, so I understand the gravity of a negative review, and that there are varying degrees to a negative experience. My experience was not 2-star or 3-star. It was a resounding 1. I have been struggling for a week to obtain the phone that I purchased from Verizon that FedEx brought to the wrong address. FedEx was even worst than VZN, but VZN told me that if I could close the case with FedEx, they could begin to help me. I got FedEx to close the case as delivered to the wrong address, and attempted to get a replacement phone. I was told in this store by manager Vasken that there was nothing Verizon could do. Getting on the phone with Verizon's Customer "Care," Dan from the Leadership Team informed me that if I filed a police report regarding the theft of the phone and then brought that report to this location, I would be able to receive a new phone. (Which makes sense, since I already paid for it!) He claimed that he was writing this in his notes for my case, but when I delivered the police report to this store today, it was revealed that Dan had actually written that Verizon was faultless in the scenario, with nothing of the promised notes about receiving a phone. It became clear that I wasn't going to be receiving a phone today. I asked if I could get my money back, and was told that I would have to file more claims! In addition to being lied to by the people at Verizon's call center, both Vasken and associate TJ were incredibly rude to me throughout this ordeal. Both times I've come into the store, they've argued with me, tried to derail the conversation, nitpicked, and finally claimed to be finding someone who can help me or looking something up, leaving me to wait around on the store floor for a while until they can either get a nicer subordinate to parrot what they've said or approach me as the store is closing to angrily tell me that they can't do anything. I can't even get an apology out of them. At one of my jobs, we're told that no matter whose fault an issue is, if a customer has a complaint, we apologize first, and then find someone who can address the issue (which, I'll point out, frequently includes providing certain services free of charge... this certainly wasn't the case). We don't defensively push back and make the customer feel uncomfortable. EDIT: Finally, after a month, I found some great employees there. Stephanie and Aja were incredibly kind and incredibly helpful! With their help, I was finally able to get my phone. read more

Horrible customer service. They don't know what they're talking about. The phone i was looking at on the floor wasn't on or working and they wouldn't bring out another to show me. They told me to come back the next day. I was due for an upgrade and i was told ALL I'D HAVE TO PAY IS 35 DOLLARS and they'd give me the new phone. I took my business elsewhere to another verizon. They told me how i was misinformed because i still had to pay about 150 for the fun PLUS 35 which apparently was the upgrade fee. The sherman oaks store told me all i'd have to pay was the 35. The lady did not know what she was talking about. On several occasions i visited this store for help and every time i've been dissatisfied with their customer service. I will never visit them again and I deter people from going. Do yourself a favor and visit ANY other store. read more

I've been with Verizon for over ten years and have 5 phones with Verizon on a business account. My family has another 4 phones with Verizon. Recently my son was talked into the edge plan and got an upgrade without my knowledge and it has been a major disaster. The salesman totally lied to him in saying that it wasn't a lease program but of course it is. He charged $99 down to my account and then its something like $30 per month for the next couple of years. In the end the phone will have cost something like $700. When I went in to this Verizon to complain, they were absolutely no help. They would rather I close down all my accounts and switch to AT & T than to reverse the edge program. I wound up paying off the entire edge balance and I cancelled three of my familys accounts and I will cancel the business accounts as soon as I am able. I also was forced to wait close to an hour while they tried to access my accounts, etc. Don't fall for the BS about the edge program. read more

Great customer service, no hard sell. What I appreciate most is the expert knowledge of ALL sales associates and their dedication to helping customers. Shay helped me, sorry Shay for taking so long to post this. He was kind respectful and great sense of humor. Next to car shopping and waiting on Time Warner cell phone shopping tends to lean on the dark side. That is not the case at this location. I got exactly what I wanted and needed and out the door in less than 45 minutes and the place was packed. While I was waiting for my phone activation another sales guy asked me about my Surface tablet and how I liked it... then he helped me to solve some troublesome technical issues... how great is that. Shay called me the next day to follow up and offered to answer any questions, he also told me an associate found my old iPhone in their car park... these are people who care about their customers and the product they sell. I've never had a problem with buying a new cell phone until I purchased one from Shay. He is very like able and kept saying "you get this free" and "this free" (most of them items I had no use for, but they are free) One of those items was a wifi jet pack. He asks me if I have an iPad or other mobile devices that require wifi to which I reply "no", but he tosses in the Jetpack for FREE anyways as he keeps telling me "I'll take care of you" and winking at me. Very friendly, but takes a long time to finalize the setup of the new phone. Long story short, the Jetpack is an extra $10/month fee and just setting it up which he did in store took up 1GB of my data. Once I figured out I was being charged an extra $10/mo I proceeded to cancel my Jetpack to which I had to pay a $35 restocking fee. With it being a separate phone line, I had a bunch of hogwash fees that I still don't know what they are. It took about 4 hours of talking to different customer service people and 4 billing cycles to finally get my phone bill to return to normal, all because Shay threw in this extra item "for free". The manager of the store was very helpful which made me up my rating to 2 stars and maybe this location is great and I was unlucky, but I had no clue how bad buying a new phone could be until now. read more

I spent hours on the phone both on November 6 & 7th 2014. My wife and I were trying to upgrade our phones. We were going to switch to the Edge plan. After many hours I had finally come up with a price and plan that was right for us. The rep on the phone asked if I wanted to go to a Verizon store and pick up the phones so I didn't have to wait for the devices to be mailed. The plan and phone that we had come up with were around 140 per month. The rep on the phone instructed me to go to the store of my choosing and tell them that all of the information was on file and we wanted the phones. She was adamant about MAKING SURE I TOLD THEM IT WAS ON FILE. And to remember that they are salesmen. She took extra time noting everything. After arriving at the store, I informed the salesman of the information on file. She would not pull it up and said their prices are different. I said no, I just spoke with a rep. She repeated she could not honor the deal on the phone that I had with Customer Service. They were different. I asked repeatedly to bring up the notations. She, instead, decided to get a manager. The manager came out already on the defense. I explained I just wanted the deal that's in the system. He said that he could not/would not do it. His price was 156 and that "One fifty six is close enough to 140." Still no one has looked at the file. I demanded that he look at the file he said he already did and there was nothing in there. I asked him to show me the notations that were there. He finally brought them up. Read them and said he still could not honor their price..."their"? And he 'couldn't care less' I tried to correct his math and he told me that I was harassing him and then called 911. I asked him how? I never left my chair, I never raised my voice? He said 'Insulting his intelligence was harassment." I called customer support on the way home. NO less than 4 minutes after. I was met with the rep telling me, It says here in your file that you were rude? I have file? This man should apologize for defaming my name to your entire company. He has violated my privacy. He should have been arrested for misuse of an emergency service. His name is Adam Justh (sp?). We just wanted our phones and to be on the Edge plan. This was unbelieveable. read more

WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE I'VE EVER EXPERIENCED. This verizon wireless place is HORRIBLE. First there's always at least one or more people standing around twitting their thumbs while you wait an absurd amount of time to be helped.(no not talking about the person checking guests in). After I've waited like a half hour after I got off work inside the verizon store, the person had the nerve to skip me and help the next guest.( they later lied to me and said the lady had an appointment, which was untrue. She had just walked in asked to hopefully speak with Jonathan I heard the whole conversation, No appointment) and that's not even what bothers me the most. The manager is standing beside his employee stating that he was "helping him " which was another lie he was just too lazy to do anything else. So after arguing with the lady who checks people in about these 2 main issues, she didn't have the common sense to just let it go, she kept on arguing and pestering me.(note that the security alarm is going off at this time and she was more concerned with me being upset and adding fuel to the fire when she should have just let it go and respect the customer) anyway I went in to trade my old iPhone 4 (note: a few days ago they told me if I got my screen fixed on my iPhone 4 they would pay 200$ trade in because I upgraded to the 5) so of course i go pay 50 bucks to get it fixed only to be denied my trade in. So long story short it went from 200$ trade in to 23$ trade in. Supposedly I miss the promotion by like one day and the lousy manager couldn't do anything for me. So not only was the customer service horrendous, but they got me for like an extra 250$ that I'll never see back. So I recommend Verizon just ABSOLUTELY NOT this location. I'm a pretty chill guy I've worked plenty of customer service jobs(including food jobs) so I know how customer service jobs are. I would not be writing this review if I didn't truly mean what I say, please do not give any of your business to these so called people. YANIV is the name of the manager, whatever you do stay away from this guy and don't let him con you into signing any contracts he will trap you any way he can with hidden fees and will not honor anything after you sign. I called the Verizon store in Sherman Oaks as I was going to be out that way as I had finally made the decision to upgrade to the iPhone. I spoke to Chris B. who was very helpful over the phone and I asked if I could meet with him to do the upgrade and set a time. I couldn't have been luckier and my sense about him served me well. It's rare and remarkable when an in-store rep is not only customer friendly, but so amazingly knowledgable of the company's products and options! He has an easy style about him that is so comfortable and he takes as much time as necessary to accommodate your needs. As far as questions, options, setting the device up, Chris absolutely knows his stuff and happily shares that professional knowledge. This guy could and should run Verizon's national customer service division! He is so capable on many levels and Verizon is incredibly fortunate to have him representing the company (even in a local store)! He would be a reason to stay, upgrade, and/or switch over to VERIZON Wireless for sure! read more

I just need to say, I've been a Verizon Wireless customer for 9 1/2 years now and always enjoyed their service, but the service at this store is ABOVE AND BEYOND awesome! My customer rep there (I didn't catch his name) was so friendly and kind... and took so much time helping me out.. I went in with a broken phone, and ended up walking out with a brand-new upgraded one, without resigning crazy contracts or adding extras on or anything!! They totally hooked me up! I had gone to this store a couple of months ago with s problem with my iphone 5s I got less than a month prior. A few verizon reps unsuccessfully attempted to help me with it but ultimately weren't knowledgeable enough to. One tho, Esther, gave me a helpful tip to take it to the apple store. I went into this Verizon today to one of the worst experiences of my life. First of all I was waiting for assistance after being checked in for almost 20 minutes, while other customers that came after me were being put in front of me by Garik who is the Manager, and other employees as if I wasn't even sitting there waiting. I had also noticed that when I arrived there were many Verizon workers on the floor and when it was time for me to be called they all went to the back as if they didn't want to help me. I then got up and informed Garik that I had been waiting and he rudely stated that he was helping another customer and passed me off to another guy, that was rude and I didn't get his name. He rudely said "Look I have had a long day and let's just get this over with." "We all take breaks and lunches so what did you expect." I was disgusted by his behavior, it made me want to cancel my service with Verizon on the spot. I asked for the Manager who I will be calling tomorrow to complain! I refuse to go back to this store! The Verizon store near my old house provided excellent customer service, and I actually felt like I got a BETTER deal when I visited there/worked with customer service folks. No so much at this location. When I went in today ready to take home a new phone, the rep was either uninformed about the various options, OR he was getting great commission on one in particular because he didn't have much to say except about the latest model. Then, when he offered me a plan, he totally upsold me. I told him - multiple times - that what he "offered" was way more than what I needed, yet he had no other options. So I went home, got the same exact phone, same exact data and minutes from Verizon.com for $20/month less, and $200 less upfront. Won't be returning to this location. read more

After about 15 minutes Aja greeted me and saw my very broke.n phone. I was not due for an upgrade and was looking at some very expensive options. I love verizon but am a little off on their customer service. The call centers are great, but ppl in the stores are 50/50. I'm sure many people have had their crazy experiences with store support. We'll I walked in yesterday with my mom to help her upgrade her phone. We waited a bit and then we're help by one guy, who's name I won't mention. The guy was a total jerk - Horrible service, lots attitude, no patience. Jerk. After sometime talking we were on out phones calling customer service regarding phone issues. So our guy moved on to the next customer and we got passed over to another guy, James. This guy was awesome. Totally patience, listened to all our concerns, and helped us out to the fullest extent. He saved the experience. If I ever go back I to a verizon store, I'm going straight to this guy. We def got our time and money's worth. Terrible service. Gave me incomplete and incorrect information regarding an upgrade on my account. They explained to me that I had an outstanding balance on a phone I no longer own when I got an upgrade. I told them it didn't make sense, the manager responded that he didn't know what I may have been told that the Verizon retailer store where I purchased the phone. That statement didn't make sense to me. He printed out my contacts for me. I went to the Verizon retailer on Laurel Canyon. I spoke to a manager there-Danny, who explained that I received a discount on the phone that covered the cost and it addition I received a discount on the phone I upgraded to. He not only explained it to me but showed it to me via the store computer. Satisfied, I attempted to call the manager at the Verizon Sherman Oaks store. First call I was hung up on before I could say a word. The next call, I was put on hold for 15 minutes. Worse service. read more
