If you must, go ahead and shop at this location. If you have any other choice; take it. The salespeople here are all very helpful and fall over themselves to show you all of their products. Helpful that is until you sign on the dotted line. After that you become invisible and a non-person. No matter what the problem, it will be ignored. Phone calls not returned, as well as texts and emails. It has now been two months and I am still waiting for all of the rebate cards promised. They had to submit the paperwork three times until they got it right. Also, check your first bill closely. You may find items you did not want or order. read more

Please train them on proving exceptional service. We arrived yesterday to replace my husband's phone that stopped working in vacation. We were advised after an hour that they didn't have any Apple 6S phones but would have one for us by the 10:00 am today. When we arrived we had to wait another hour to be helped. Once we received bed the iPhone we were told to just follow the prompts to set it up and download information from iCloud's. so basically we waited for ever and did everything in our own. I didn't read the other reviews, but completely shocked that this store didn't get 5 stars from everyone. And I don't usually write reviews, but I had to do it this time. First of all, I hate going into these places. You wait forever, the service people are usually rushed and aggravated and I end up wanting to throw my phone against the wall. Yesterday, going to this Verizon store...changed all of that. When we walked in, we were greeted (yes, greeted) and walked up to a desk with a customer service rep who took my name and put it on a list. Figuring that I was in for at least an hour wait, my husband and I began looking around. About 10 minutes later, a rep came up to me and said she was ready for me, and we went over to her area. My husband was due for an upgrade and he wanted an iPhone, so she went into the back to get him one. While she was away, we started talking to JR, the manager. I was questioning him about the unlimited data package which they no longer offer and was wondered why. I never could grasp what that even means. He slowly and thoroughly explained all about what it is and why they no longer offer it. We chatted for a few more minutes as he explained other issues that I was having with the iPhone. One of the reasons I went to the Verizon store besides the upgrade, was because I could no longer use wifi. It was stuck on 3G. He looked at it and he and the woman clerk said that they would have a new iPhone sent to me. What? That easy? He then proceeded to explain exactly what to do when I received my new phone in the next few days, etc. Uh oh. I knew it was too good to be true. She looked in the computer and my phone was out of warranty by a couple of months. JR the manager smiled and told her to give me one anyway! We thanked both of them profusely, since our experience was something we never ever had happen to us anywhere. Honestly, I wish I could give JR and his team 10 stars. BOBBY WAS AWESOME! This new location is big and beautiful and had everything we needed. Within an hour, we had a new family plan, 2 new phones, and even a Mophie travel charger (all at a reasonable price)! Bobby was very helpful, patient and knowledgeable. Not a tech person, found the dreaded upgrade a surprisingly smooth experience at this particular corporate store. Jeff De La Torre was patient, knowledgeable, easy going and did all the transfer from old to new devices as a matter of providing great customer service. From checking out all the reps, from the person who greats you with a sincere smile when you walk in the door, to the actual rep who gives you the personal attention, this location has a together group of knowledgeable, friendly and helpful sales and support personnel. Recommended. Parking tip: with both Islands and Mendicino Farms nearby, look for the driveway that goes down to the lower level parking area on the west side of the center and avoid the chaos of the street level garage parking. read more

Went in on Monday around 3pm to add a line I was greeted right away and then was helped by an African American man forgot his name the receipt says garrja6 who was excellent in providing professional, courteous, and expedited service. I was adding a line to my brothers acct and he helped me in choosing the iphone 6 plus after discussing some other options. He then showed me some accessories that would go along with the device. Overall great experience I would like to note that while I was looking at the phones I could over hear what I assume was the manager talking down to the rep that helping me about the previous transaction and it was completely unprofessional in a round about way she was saying he needed to more aggressively sell accessories which as a customer he should stick to his selling style because the abrasive "salesmen" routine like that is not what i want when I'm joining a new carrier. Horrible customer service from Stephanie an JR! They just want to get you out of there! I went into this store to do an employer re-verification for an employee discount on my bill. I was greeted by JR, who was very nice (at first). The store was a little busy, and I was told that it would be about a 40 minute wait. After about 45 minutes, JR took me to the register to get my info. Then, Stephanie, the other manager came to the register, after she had been hurriedly trying to get rid of a customer with a defective phone, and told JR that he had to quickly finish with my issue to get all of the other customers taken care of by closing time. He quickly did a few taps on the keyboard, and told me that my employee discount had been entered, but I needed to call back tomorrow to confirm, because it only works correctly half of the time. He then said to call back the following day and speak with Stephanie who would verify the discount for me. The following day, Stephanie could not find any information in the computer for my discount (shocker). She then had me email my ID to her, and said to call back in an hour and it would be handled. After calling back five times over the course of 6 hours, i was told Stephanie was in a meeting each time I called. Clearly I was being blown off. After using a different name, I finally got a hold of Stephanie who informed me that my discount had been submitted, and would be in effect within 30 days. Guess what? I received my bill this month, and no discount! Verizon customer service informed me that nothing had ever been submitted. a formal complaint will be filed with Verizon, but i only wish I had read the reviews here first. read more

I really wish I had checked Yelp before wasting my time on Sunday. I'm a longtime Verizon customer and have had no problems with them, until I finally decided to upgrade my phone. First of all, there was no parking on a Sunday morning - except there were plenty of empty spaces in the Verizon employee reserved spaces, so they're either all using alternate transportation or parking in the closer spots. After driving around and finally finding a place to park, I entered the store and was happy to see that there were lots of available employees. Then I was told that before I could talk to anyone, I needed to "check in". I was next in line at the "check in" counter, but after standing there for 5 more minutes with no sign that the customer ahead of me would be done anytime soon, I left. It's insane that in a store full of available employees doing nothing, a customer has to wait in line right off the bat before getting any service. With so much competition, it seems a silly way to be doing things. read more

Don't waste your time here even if you have to drive. - I Spoke with *611 Verizon customer service rep 4 days ago. They told me what to do to use upgrade on my ipad line for my daughter's replacement iphone . My daughter went to Sherman Oaks, Ventura Blvd. store. Both the salesman AND manager told my daughter what I had been told by Verizon rep could NOT be done and instead signed my daughter up for another line and $580 later my daughter a 23 year old single mom is calling me telling me she was bullied, they were rude to her and she was sorry. That they had intimidated and pressured her, were not helpful and refused to listen to her what she wanted. They sold her a more expensive phone said that the one she wanted was not in stock (didn't bother to try to call another store). They signed her up for an additional line and a bunch of accessories which were supposed to be bundled but they charged her individually instead. I told her not to worry I would help her straighten out the misunderstanding. I checked AGAIN with Verizon customer service *611 and they appologized and said that the store was wrong and they should not have sold her another line of service (appeared to do it for the extra commission). I called back again today to try to get the issue handled and the store manager, and Jennifer (who said she would call me back-didn't) and salesman Alex I believe, emphatically stated that they could NOT do what now 5 !!!! separate people (dont remember the first person's name, Matilda, Kimberly,Nina and Louis at Verizon corporate said they COULD do! So this time I called with corporate Verizon customer service on the line and 3 wayed in with Ventura Blvd. store. Louis from corporate was patient and kind and tried to explain to Ameen and he was very rude and confrontational to Louis as well. Every employee and management at this store should be replaced with management that care about the customer instead of their commission. I think if you read the other Yelp reviews you will see (except the ones written by their friends or an occasional customer) that this store is a pretty "bad apple" in the Verizon network. Now I have to have my daughter go to another store further away for fear of reprisal, return the phone so the transaction can be reversed and can be completed properly like it should have been processed from the very beginning. read more

My wife went to buy a new phone today & overall had a horrendous experience for a variety of reasons (not making clear all the add on costs, giving her a broken phone, etc). She was so frustrated by the whole experience that I went to return the phone for her. I was so put off by their complete unapologetic attitude. They were so overly concerned with attempting to make a sale versus actually trying to understand a loyal customers frustration & get to the root of the problem. I felt like I was dealing with a car salesman. I have been with Verizon for around 15 years now but am so disgusted with their poor attitude that I will look into AT&T. Had they just ATTEMPTED to be helpful & understanding in any way what so ever I would have purchased a new phone & stuck with Verizon but their complete disregard for customer service sealed the deal. bought a samsung s5. within two months the flap covering the port broke. they told me it was my fault and they couldn't fix it. they would gladly arrange for samsung to send me a refurbished phone under warranty. my phone is new? Checked online, many, many complaints about the port cover, yet samsung is not acknowledging that it is a manufacturing problem. easy part to fix, yet verizon is not carrying the part. read more

My first bad Yelp review...WORST service ever. For the past few years, I've been coming into this store every time I have an upcoming upgrade or question. After every single visit, I have to remind myself to stop wasting my time and just call Verizon instead. For a problem with a SIM card, I was told to go to the Apple store (hey, I thought you were my cell provider? and by the way, Apple told me to come back to you). When my 17 year old brother's phone was magically turned off while he was away at college (and we are on the same plan which means there were no payment issues), no one at the store wanted to help investigate the problem. Whereas the rep over the phone fixed everything within minutes. And today, I came in on my lunch break, hoping to go over some questions I had about their service, data plan, and upgrade - the lovely manager asked me to wait...even though he was just standing there and was fully capable of answering my general questions. CS so bad I had to walk out. Went in for nothing more than a screen protector. Walked in and asked if they had any and was told I had to check in and wait. (That in itself is bad CS when a customer only needs an accessory) So I check in no problem and start to look around the store with my wife. We take our time and make a loop around the entire store. When we got back to the front area I noticed an employee talking to the girl who had checked me in. They were talking for a minute or two and then the employee went to the back. (I was within 5ft of them and they were NOT talking about anything work related) At this point another taller employee came out of the back and spoke to the employee that checked me in. After a few seconds he goes into the back and she follows. I walk to the back to catch them when they come out and ask if they can just see if they have the screen protector because it's not like I really needed to sit down and talk to someone. The girl that checked me in tells me I have to wait for someone to check me out. Are you serious??? There were 3 of them and not 1 could take the time to do a transaction that should have taken less than 5 minutes from start to finish! The entire time I was in the store not 1 new person walked in, so it's extremely annoying that the girl who checked me in didn't help me nor the other employee who clearly was not helping anyone else before going into the back. Read some of the google reviews and you will see this horrid CS is not an isolated incident. How many employees does it take to help a customer at this Verizon store? I came in for the iPhone promotion (turn in your old iPhone to get a new iPhone 6). Artin was super helpful! He quickly placed the order for my new iPhone and gave me his number so when my new phone arrived, I could text him and set up a time when he was working to come in and do the exchange and set up. My phone arrived a couple of days ago and when I contacted Artin, he promptly got back to me with his schedule and we arranged a time for me to come in. I arrived when the store opened this morning to a busy crowd, but Artin took me as a priority customer since we had set up an appointment, which I'm really thankful for so I didn't have to waste a lot of time on a Sunday morning waiting around. Artin and the female manager were very nice, efficient, and helpful in setting up my new phone, Artin just made everything so easy and painless. I'll definitely be coming back to Artin when my husband needs his iPhone upgrade in a few months! read more

The service two of the times my friend and I went to purchase an iphone5s and then to return and exchange my new defective Bluetooth was impeccable. Robert helped us both times and boy did he know everything about phones and accessories including bluetooths. He was a pleasure to be with, he never rushed my endless supply of questions, he was friendly, easygoing, and funny. We told him next time we need help we will call first to make sure Robert will be there. Last week my same friend and I went to this verizon store so I could upgrade my Bluetooth. Our service representative Justina admitted she knew nothing about bluetooths and claimed no one else working at this verizon knew either except ONE specific person who was off work that day. When my friend and I finished up with Robert today where we got ALL our Bluetooth questions answered by Robert, we told our story about Justina to Robert and he laughed and denied her claim of course. This new store on Ventura near Hazeltine is the worst ever Verizon store I've been to in two decades. It's small, they have the speakers blasting so you can't hear the spoken word, and there's a bullpit where they conduct their customer business in a U-shaped monstrosity. Ask them to turn down the blasting music and the manager will, but then an employee him to crank back up, and Bingo! Blasting again. I had a 2:00 p.m. appointment, and arrived five minutes early. I was told I was next up, but of course that was false, and I was just last in line. I waited and waited, and then simply cancelled my 2:00 p.m. appointment at 2:15, after watching numerous customers - including the walk-in in front of me when I checked in - being served. I didn't recognize any of the employees from the former store on Ventura at Beverly Glen. FAR WORSE. Save yourself time and energy. Go to another store, or if you are going to upgrade to an Apple product, as I did, simply go to an Apple store. Two minutes and I was served with incredible expertise. Doesn't bode well for Verizon. read more

went to the store because my phone died. a young lady helped attended to my problem. she was very courteous and worked diligently on the issue. it took over an hour before she gave up and I had to purchase a new phone. she then made sure I got all the options I need and also made sure I could save all my info. she even used some of her own insider skills to get apps etc to make sure my phone runs right and saved all my stuff from the old phone. she said she used to work in a mall location and she is the one that speaks Spanish. really great person and very professional. I see the other reviews! they are right, if you do not have an appointment, you are screwed. the other attendants there can be too rushed and see to not care because they are a busy store. I came in earlier on a week day and did not have a good treatment. they were just rushed. The trick is to try going on a week end. they are dead there then. when I was there, the other two attendants left my helper alone and disappeared. she had to hunt them down when other customers came in. ask for her help. she is the best.
