I'm going to be less picky because its a cell phone store but I was actually very surprised with the service. It took about 15 minutes for me to be helped but they were busy. I was immediately greeted at the door though. I go an iPhone 5 yesterday and it was a pretty smooth process. They actually let me know about a few cool deals they had going on that saved me quite a bit of money. I also got $141 back for my old iPhone. It took about an hour all in all which I felt wasn't too bad considering how busy they were. The staff was nice and tool care of everything I needed to get done. read more

I showed up yesterday at ~1pm on a Friday and was not immediately allowed inside. There was a line of zero people I was required to wait in and one customer inside. A "solutions manager" guarded the door and would not let me in unless I completed a paper that specified what iPhone I was interested in, which at face value looked as though I was committing to purchasing one. I felt like a herded farm animal being coraled. Then I felt like a criminal after the man guarding the door finally told me that I wasn't immediately allowed inside because of security reasons. Finally he came out and said they do this with every iPhone release. Apparently Verizon's security controls are so poor that they cause customer abrasion like in my case. A nice epilogue - I walked by a packed T Mobile store later that night with no "security" at the door. The VZW guy claimed this was nationwide policy and every store was doing this but I'm not buying it. The "policy" is likely strong inventory theft controls, and the store or district manager had an incident that caused this ridiculous speakeasy-like nonsense stopped at the door thing going on. I can totally understand this when the store opens the first few days of a release, but when it's clearly dead mid day it's only insulting to casual customers. Another customer showed up and had to go through the same thing just for a case. Absurd. Once inside your typical Johnny sales guy spoke way to fast and with a slur but I was eventually able to make out what he was saying about the trade in offer I was inquiring about after I struggled. Appropriately, at one point he brushed against a display phone and a loud alarm went off as two other employees struggled but failed to turn it off by the time I left. There is an obvious problem here - Verizon, at either the store level or national policy level, has failed to offer an effective security controls policy that doesn't turn off customers. This seems like an easy fix though but whoever blew it originally which led this to this over the top nonsense will have to own it, dial back the exaggerated efforts meant to pretend like theft is a worse problem than it is, and simply allocate a designated door greeter who also monitors for theft, similar to Best Buy. Everything I've said is speculation but the onus is on VZW to prove otherwise. read more

The folks here are awesome. I am not overly technical in nature, but they are patient and knowledgeable and take the time to explain things whenever I need assistance with something. I have nothing but good things to say about the folks working at this location. While the neighborhood Verizon stores are nice and convenient, this Corporate store can do so many more things that the smaller stores cannot do. I have been here many times, and I always walk out with a good experience. Keep up the great work! read more

Employees are nice. Not as busy as other stores however their system of seeing people causes a big bottleneck. I just needed to get a gift certificate but I have to wait in this line. This line is not separated by the type of service you need. Activating a phone will take longer. People expect to wait longer so that's fine. But just to buy a phone case you have to wait in this same line. If there are 4 activations ahead of you you're waiting like 30-40 minutes with no help. read more

Came in tonight to replace a lost phone. Rep John helped me out and was amazingly helpful, gracious, and genuinely a nice guy. He did everything he could to get me discounts on my phone... Which included encouraging me to grab a replacement phone my dad had given me to try to trade it in. It worked and gave me a fat discount on my phone. He also made nice small talk with me which I find endearing with anybody working in customer service. I LOVE the phone he recommended to me (Droid Turbo), and had a very pleasant experience here. This location seems to have some not so pleasant reviews but if you want to desk with somebody efficient and awesome, john is your guy! read more

I love this store mainly because how helpfull Kristina has been to me. Seriously without her very patient and informative help I now am enjoying my bundled service for my business and home and saving much more than previous plans. Just got off phone with Verizon corporate and no shipment was made. Going out of town and now a real hassle. Yelp needs to fix the rating system as these guys don't deserve one star. I was lied to and misled so that some moron could meet his quota. I was taken off an unlimited plan and put on a "superior" share plan. My first bill was $82 higher than my previous high. When I called to change back they told me that Verizon no longer offers unlimited plans and that I was welcome to break my contract for $365. The level of service in the U.S. has dropped dramatically in the last 3-4 years but these guys are the worst. Shane is the manager and he spends all of his time putting out fires that his salespeople create. I realize that the average moron either works at Walmart, the White House or Verizon but corporate needs to fix the problems. I strongly recommend that you go anywhere else. Verizon f*cked me for the last time after 17 years. Once my contract is up I will flip a coin and go with anyone else. read more

I have only written one other negative review on Yelp, however, this situation is terrible. My mom and dad had Verizon for some time, but my dad passed away end of December 2016. My elderly mom called Verizon on January 23, 2017 to cancel service on my dad's line. Instead of canceling as requested, the Verizon rep put her on a contract to keep the line and give a small monthly discount. My mom is elderly and was having cognative​ problems from the loss of her husband whom she was with since junior high. Recently she realized she was still paying for an unused line and asked me help. I called today and spoke to a rep and then a supervisor, and all they would so is offer a $40 credit instead of doing what is ethically correct and giving her a credit dating back to January when she first called to cancel. They should not only have issued a credit for that, but should have offered to credit back to the date of his death. Verizon took advantage of an elderly person and possibly committed elderly abuse die to the financial loss. read more

I had a WONDERFUL experience at the Verizon store at 2687 Park Avenue in Tustin California! My husband is 77 years old, and he is not happy with the "new" technology. To him a phone has a dial or buttons to push when you want to make a call, so finding a Verizon cell phone that he could use was an almost impossible task. I visited several Verizon stores before this one, and the experience here was amazing. The General Manager, Nagauma Gerikiparthi, was extremely patient with me. He showed me all the phones that were available to meet my needs. He was knowledgeable, but he didn't confuse me with tech terms that I wouldn't understand. Together we found a phone that would make and receive calls and texts, and my husband can actually use it. Nagauma went above and beyond to help me find the perfect phone. He took enough time with me that I was able to watch the other sales reps work with their customers, and they, too, helped their customers find the perfect phone for their needs. If you ever need advice about any Verizon product, this is the store to go to. read more

I recently bought a new phone at this store. I do not live in the area but drive to this Verizon because I will never go to my neighborhood Verizon. They are so rude and slow. The employees at the District Verizon are very friendly and helpful, especially Michelle. My first visit she was so patient and explained all my options thoroughly. This store has gotten such a bad rap! im not sure the reason for it. my experiences in the store has been incredibly positive. i went in to price shop before i bought my new Motorola Android. luckily, i met Tyrone, and he was just great. he did NOT apply any undue pressure and explained the charges and prices in detail. i told him the deal i was getting for the phone elsewhere and it was considerably better. he suggested i go to the competitor to get my phone because he could not beat it. i liked him so much, i went back to sign up for my home phone service. he waived some basic fees and gave me a deal i could not pass up. after i had signed up my home phone service, i had some issues w/ my cell i bought elsewhere. i happen to be at the District and asked Tyrone and his co-worker for some help and they were very nice and responsive. today, i had a billing issue for my home phone and called Tyrone. luckily, he was working and i had not seen him for a couple of months. i told him who i was and he remembered and even recalled our conversation. i explained the problem and he took care of it immediately. i thought he was just great and wanted to let others that use Yelp to give this store a chance because the service is great if not better than most of the places i had seen when i was shopping for my new phone. If you are reading this, be sure to ask for Tyrone and tell him that you read this review. i am sure he will appreciate the kind words and referral. read more

Not to mention that the guy was transferring in the wrong direction! Suffice to say he was unable to transfer my contacts What a complete waste of time. Theother reviews are correct. I experienced two same comments. 1 the guy after failing said go home and try manually drawing it off your old ph and syncing it between ur comp and phone. The reason ppl come to ur store is bc they don't want to have to go through that complicated process them self. 2 I overheard another customer conversation and the in store rep Will dispute what Verizon wireless corporate 1800 reps say. Also since I was at the counter an hour they talk about each customer after they walk out the door. They even looked at some guys pics they he had deleted off his phone. I came in on 3/17/13 ready to switch from AT&T to Verizon. I was immediately greeted by Shane the store manager and informed him that I wanted to switch over and the plan I was leaning toward. He directed me towards Chung who was more then willing to help. The set up with Chung was extremely easy. Barely any up sell on products and he answered all of my questions concerning the phone plans and data usage. What I liked the most was I didn't feel like I was being tricked into getting a data plan I didn't need. I ended up switching my home phone line as well with Chung and there was no hassle as well. The workers here seem like they are willing to provide you with a service that you should expect when going into a retail store. I highly recommend coming here for any kind of wireless, home, etc needs. IF you do ask for Chung...he even does follow ups with his customers...where are you going to find someone willing to do that? read more

I have to question whether all these negative reviews are talking about the Verizon store at the district as opposed to the one at Tustin Market Place near the food court places. Every time I have been in the District they have taken painstaking time to go over my issues. They have been knowledgeable and responsive. Sometimes I have had so many issues, I am waiting for them to duck and say, "Oh God, here she is again!" Instead they have been welcoming and rarely is there a line. Someone always comes up to make sure we are properly in the queue. I have been in two other stores that were the world's worst service, one was at the Tustin Market Place and one was in south county (not the spectrum). Other stores I have had so-so service. I have never had better service than at the District. I have had different workers helping me. In fact, I have been invited back with a problem (user problem) on the tablet. He said that is what they are there for and to just come in and they would show me how to correct it so I can get the proper use of the tablet. I have been in so many times with so many different problems without a hitch of any kind that it makes me convinced these negative comments cannot be about the same store. read more
