I came to this store on 4/24/15 to buy a Note 4 at full retail price. I was greeted and the salesman asked what I needed. I told him I was here to buy a Note 4, he asked me for my number, checked my account, and said "you're not eligible for an upgrade". I told him I was aware, and have no problem paying the full retail price. He said go to Best Buy and buy it, we won't sell you the phone at full retail here, and sent me on my way. So I walked out and called the *611 number, customer service told me there is no reason why they wouldn't be able to sell the phone at retail price. Also mentioned that it might be the salesman getting "commission happy", because they don't make much selling phones at full retail. Anyways the *611 VZW CSR apologized for my bad experience and told me to avoid this particular store in the future. It doesn't make any sense, how a Verizon customer cannot buy a Verizon phone in a Verizon Corporate store. read more

Horrible place. Purchased a Samsung phone for a friend and had to go back THREE times because the phone never worked properly. After the first time the service rep Ryan wanted me to drive back there during rush hour to return the box the original crappy phone he gave me didn't work....of course I did NOT accommodate him since I wouldn't be compensated for my time and effort. Even after receiving the second phone, it did the same thing....and a different rep informed my friend that we were given a REFURBISHED PHONE. , not a new one as I was led to believe by Ryan ....really $250 for an out dated Samsung phone? What a rip off. Now I'm waiting for another phone to come in the mail...and I'll have to transfer the data because I don't want to deal with those shysters again.....I'm about one step away from dropping Verizon who I have been with for many years. Customer service at this store is terrible ..go elsewhere if you must stay with this provider. If the next phone I get in the mail Wednesday ( I hope) does the same thing , I'm FINISHED...with these jokers. CAN YOU HEAR ME NOW ..Verizon? BEWARE ...the people in this store are thieves. They say your bill will be one amount and it turns out to be MORE than they quoted. Ray helped me! After being a long time "yelper" I decided to get suggestions on which local Verizon Rep I should use, since my last rep was promoted. I followed the recommendation of another post and was not let down. Ray was extremely helpful, knowledgeable, informative and most of all patient. After going through my bill with a fine tooth comb and making certain I had all loyal discounts available, he then gave me a quick lesson on my cellular device showing me tricks and apps I never knew of. He then pushed the manager to allow my husband for an early upgrade, got a brand new tablet for my mother-in-law who is on our plan, and then signed her up for personal classes. Wow! When I originally went in the store in December I was happy with the customer service I received from Lois. The first month I figured it was normal to have such a high bill but every month after it has been high. I feel tricked because I thought I got the buy 1 iPhone get 1 free.I'm paying FULL PRICE on both phones. I'm now convinced Verizon is lying just to meet their sales quota. The Good: The router i got from them was superb. Installation guy was pretty kick ass too, really friendly guy. Installation was painless and quick, no fuss. -- The Bad: I had to cancel because i found a better internet deal. Now keep in mind im a firm believer in giving Americans jobs first instead of having your usual indian tech support hired for 2 cents an hour. Sadly its a double edged sword. BOTH times calling verizon for installation and disconnection resulted in me talking to some obviously overweight black woman whos straight out of a stereotype. If you ever seen Gabriel Iglesias the comedian then THIS was that girl he was talking about. Installation setup was horrid. This girl was rude and funny. It was a weird experience. It was funny as hell but it was also irritating because it was happening to me. Disconnection was even worse. Id swear it was the same customer support rep. When i called them i went through the usual number bashing till i got to support, she answered chewing. CHEWING. Not cute kitty mew mew chewing, loud overweight wheezing chewing. I was kinda shocked, i froze for a little bit. After the obvious sucking of her fingers she finally acknowledged me.. The call goes on etc till i get to the end where she tells me to write down something. Then she tells me to wait because shes not finished, and im there listening and it sounds like shes finishing her meal, i hear a bag rustling and chewing. Then when shes ready i finally cancel my account. Now im all for equal opportunity but really some people are awesome for customer support like some of the pleasant sounding ladies ive talked to at direct tv but this.. no no no no, BAD verizon, BAD! 2 Stars ONLY because the installation call was kinda funny and so was disconnection. I've been with Verizon for approximately 11 years. I've never been called a liar by any employee, Verizon or other company, except for employees at this store. I ordered the IPhone X on-line, to pick up from this store. I was given the phone, offered accessories, and left with the phone. After a short time, less than an hour, I opened the box to set up the phone. The face was cracked! I went back in the store and was told I damaged it. There was nothing they would do because I left the store without opening the box. If I had opened it in the store, they would have replaced it. No one said anything about this until it was too late. They could not show me anything in writing that I should have checked in the store. They actually stated it was not their problem, it was mine. Verizon Customer Service said to go back to the store because they should rectify the problem. Of course, they were rude and told me they would do nothing. Verizon CS referred me to the insurance, pay $200, and get the phone fixed. Insurance denied the claim because "the phone was not activated when the damage happened". Go back to the store, since they should take care of it. Again, they refused because, now they say, "the store would have to pay for the broken phone and they would not take the hit". So, I'm going through Apple, getting my phone repaired for $300. So, my $1000 phone is actually costing me $1300. I will never buy anything from Verizon again, except for the wireless service. But after my contracts are expired on my other lines, I will be moving on to another service provider. Avoid this store at all costs! They have no idea what customer service means, and prefer to make a customer unhappy and insult them, before they will "take a hit"! read more

Verizon was saved by Nathan Puccio today. Finally some great customer service. After leaving the last location in the Montclair Plaza. I thought about trying out T-Mobile. I'm tired paying $200 a month for bad customer service. Nathan was patient and answered all my questions. He seemed sincere and eager to help. I will be a Verizon customer as long as they continue to have employees like Nathan. I would send more people to Verizon if the regulated there stores more efficiently. Manager Veronica and sales associate Jake are HORRIBLE. I had to call customer care for myself to get things resolved because the manager was being rude. When a CUSTOMER has an issue, you do not roll your eyes and make them walk to you. There needs to be some better customer service training. You shouldn't be chatting and hugging coworkers while a customer your attending to is waiting for what you have to say. Also When corporate tells you the manager can do returns up to 30 days but she refuses, it's obvious she doesn't care about her customers. read more

Had a billing dispute. I first talked to Alfred who did not how to fix the problem. I then spoke the Store Manager Oscar "The Grouch" who did not want to help me with my problem. So I left & went to Montclair Plaza Verizon, spoke with a gentleman named Benji who got me in contact with customer service & resolved the problem within about 12 minutes. Upland store is a JOKE. Called before I came and received great customer service over the phone. Walked in later that day and received EXCELLENT service. Right when I walked in I was greeted and had my name put in the queue by a guy with a tablet. At first I thought it was odd that he didn't just help me, but i get it that collecting the names of new walk ins is a job in itself. Then Garrett came over and was very helpful and efficient in answering my questions and helping me find the best prepaid cell phone deal for this unique temporary service I needed. He quickly set the phone up and we were on our way. I was so impressed I memorized his name off of his tag so I could prepare this review. read more

Why do I have to give a star at all?! This place has the worst customer service. I came in to pick up my order that was placed from the phone and when I first came in the greeting from the worker was just blah and as we were moving along to pick up my phone it turns out that color that was supposed to be in their inventory was non-existent. Apparently a manager was called to fix the situation and also a representative over the phone was called also. Turns out there was nothing they can do and instead of offering an inconvenience credit to my account, the sales rep just tried to sell me to add another line. Does it look like that's what I came into the store for? If you can see the customers frustration then try to offer at least a credit or what not to the account for the company's mess up AND not sell me another damn line and pay more fees. Absolutely poor training on their part. I would never go back to that location! read more

I do most of my business with Verizon at this store and have always had a good experience. The first time I went in, the employee recommended a plan change that would save my family on the monthly bill, and it did. They have always been patient with us in choosing a new phone, even if we were clearly getting a cheepee for one of the teenagers. Went in two weeks ago with my wife to finally upgrade our phones (we were still using iPhone 4s) and to get info on possibly getting/adding phones for our two older kids (12, 13). Rep starts scribbling #s on a piece of paper that is complete jibberish to most people...why can't they simply say "here's what you're looking at on a monthly basis"? First two estimated costs are more than $100 compared to what we were currently paying. Can't afford that...So, he then gives us a third estimated monthly cost (for upgraded phones, and two new phones for the kids)...price sounded too good to believe (I should have gone with my gut). Well, three hours later, we walk out with (4) phones, etc. Two weeks later, we receive our new monthly bill...and it's nearly $100 more than what we were quoted. My wife goes to the store, has three reps dealing with her (all at the same time)..."Do you have the quote in writing?" they ask. Of course not, because they didn't give us the paper the guy was writing on. The rep we initially dealt with apologized and simply said, "I guess I miss calculated". The store manager didn't even intervene. Bottom line, they will obviously tell you anything to make a sale. Unfortunately, now we have phones we cannot afford and Verizon could clearly care less...as long as they get paid. Had the worst customer experience I have ever had at this store. I went to the store to pay my final bill for Verizon as my online account had been discontinued. I had called into Verizon to cancel but was put on hold for over an hour. Decided to try walking into the store instead on a whim. Boy was I mistaken. Walked in and was immediately greeted by a gentleman. Explained my issue to him and he signed me in and told me my wait would be about 15 minutes. Meanwhile, next to him listening to the problem was another worker Ny. She was terrible as I'll explain later. Anyway, 30 minutes later and I had yet to be helped. Yet, I saw 3 people who came in AFTER me get immediate attention. Now, I don't know if they just didn't help me because I was cancelling the service or what, but I was quite irritated after 30 minutes. Eventually, I stood up from their waiting area and was approached by Ny. She asked me if I needed help. I explained that I had been signed in and she said she didn't see my name on the list. Now remember she had been right next to the guy that signed me in...but I just ignored this. I explained my issue to her and she didn't seem the most knowledgable about how to go about dealing with the issue. She kind of cut me off, but I let her talk. As she started to lead me over to a Bill Pay kiosk I thought I should cut in to explain the the might have to look up my account number as my cell # was transferred already. That's when her attitude kicked in. She cut me with a "ma'am if you would just stop interrupting me and let me talk". I was annoyed at this point and explained to her that I was upset that she was interrupting me and not letting me explain my issue in ADDITION to having made me wait 30 minutes while taking other customers ahead of me. She then said that she didn't see me. I explained I had been sitting in the same chair for 30 minutes. She continued to be rude with several eye rolls and give me attitude to the point where I said forget it and walked out. Not after asking for her name of course. I just want to make it clear that this store had terrible service and that Ny was one of the worst employees in any store I have ever had to deal with. I cannot believe that Verizon would allow someone like her to work in their store. Avoid her at all costs and beware of her hostility. read more

Well, I have only been a Verizon customer for 2 months, and I already know which store I will not be returning to. Reasons are due to to discrimination of the disabled. I received oral surgery the night before where I had all 4 wisdom teeth removed but my phone bill was still due that next day. So I went to pay my pre-paid plan at this location. When I walked in my mouth hurt too much to speak loudly, so I quietly, and very slowly (due to pain) explained my self to NY, who with a very rude, aggravated attitude repeatedly asked me to speak louder and refused to move from her spot, telling me to "come here and speak up." speaking to me as if I was really dumb. Then told me I was going to have a wait a while (while she did nothing,) probably because she didn't want to deal with or help me. I walked up to a nice young man Steven and asked him if there was a manger I could speak to because I felt discriminated against. I spoke to him in the same, quiet , slow manner, explaining I had just received surgery, and he totally understood. He then pointed to NY and explained she was not only the manager, but the general manager, astonishing! This store is very poorly managed, but has very nice employees. backwards store. Let me start off by saying I don't blame Verizon for what is happening with the note 7. What I will blame them for is poor service. My initial purchase of the note 7 was very pleasant I cant remember the girl I worked with but she was super sweet and really hooked me up. When the first recall happened I called and asked if they had the replacements and they said yes come on in. I came in not even 10 minutes later and of course in that time they ran out. Ray told me he would text me the second more came in. I went across the street to target and not even 15 minutes later he text me and told me they had some there the whole time. I was a little annoyed but Ray and Will were both super helpful afterwards. At one point we were even humming music waiting for my phone to update. Now there is a total recall and this time has been a nightmare. I spent 6 hours on the phone with customer service on Friday because unfortunately I work a job where I work 9am-9pm (Wedding Industry) and I couldn't take a day off because I leave for vacation tomorrow. Every single person on the phone gave me a different answer one girl didn't even know the phone had been fully recalled she told me to go back and make sure they give me a phone with the green battery signal...woooooowwww. I came to the conclusion that I would have to wait until a day that I could maybe leave work early and figure it out in store. I was able to go yesterday and I worked with Nathan He was once again super helpful and ordered me a phone but said if I could get someone there in the morning at 10am they had some google xl's in the back and If someone got there early enough there were definitely phones available. Thank God for fathers because I asked my dad if he could take the day off and pick it up for me. He got there early was one of the first ones at the store and what happens there was no google xl. Funny because Nathan said they had them yesterday. I don't know if he was misinformed, the workers who also were waiting for a phone got first come first serve or if once again he just didn't look but at this point I'm pissed. I work in customer service so I get it sometimes you just cant make a customer happy but the way this Verizon store has gone about this switch is not only unprofessional but it is poor service as well. My dad not only took the day off but then I had to spend time on the phone when I was supposed to be in a meeting to get it sorted out. In the end I was given no other option but to wait for Nov 18th when the other phones will be available. When I talked to Damian the manager it was like he wasn't listening as I was talking there were people laughing in the background which I get there may have been other customers in the store but if I'm talking to a manager I don't want to feel like he's paying more attention to what is happening in the store versus the conversation I am having with him. Like I said I don't blame Verizon for what is happening but I do blame them for the horrible customer service I have gotten since. Not only at this store but over the phone as well. Will be taking my Verizon service to another store from now on. while they may have been helpful I am now realizing they are lazy as well. This place is TERRIBLE. In no other retail market have I paid so much for service and received such atrocious customer service. I should not have to call to make an appointment to do a 3min transaction. I waited 35 min to make a payment on a pre paid phone (I also have 3 devices on contract) as I, the customer, grew frustrated, the employees worked slower. One was kind enough to suggest the kiosk, which I tried however I did not have a PIN number and none of the employees seem to know how to get one. (It's not the last four digits on the phone) so I waited and waited when they could have rung me up and had me out instantly. Finally, when the employee "NY" came up to sign me in (for the second time, I had already been signed in by someone else 30 min ago) I was completely frustrated and said "I've been waiting 30 min for a 2 min transaction, this is bullsh*t" she said "I'm going to ask you to leave the store if you don't be quiet, all i feel is negative energy" what does this even mean? THIS is how they deal with a customer that pays hundreds of dollars every month and is RIGHTFULLY frustrated with the service. Every one of these people needs to be retrained. Of course verizon has the corner on the cell towers so to go somewhere else for better service means a sacrifice in connection. I can not stand going in this store, every single time it's an unpleasant experience. The last time I was in there to upgrade my phone, they guy told me I couldn't upgrade, which of course I could, and did but it was another wasted 30 min teaching the guy his job. Customer service and especially the manager is completely inappropriate and unwilling to help. I bought a new Galaxy Note 9 the other day and didn't even take it out of the box but when I open it up it had marks all over it so I wasn't even sure if it was a display model or happened right but it's definitely been out of the box try to bring it back to pick up the second phone that wasn't in stock and try to return this one for a one that hasn't been out of the box and they told me it's I can't return it and that I would have to pay a $50 restocking fee even though the salesperson originally told me I had 14 days to bring it back for a complete refund and undo anything that was done. Completely unacceptable in that you are paying $1,000 for a phone but you're not even sure that wasn't remaining in the box that have marks all over it complete horrible customer service all he had to do is scan the phone switch it out and everybody's happy but they completely refuse to do so. read more

Well, let me start by stating that my phone was stolen a few days ago, and when into this location to get another phone by upgrading again. Well when Jake greeted me he seemed eager to help, until i recognized one of the other reps and said hello, he tried to push me over to her. Which by the way she did not want to help me either, stating that she would be off at 9pm. IT WAS 8:35PM!!!!!!!!! Anyway he also stated he was off at 9. So right off the bat I knew I was not doing business here. Anyway I do not like to bad mouth location like this, but I feel that i have to. I won't go into further details about how much worse my experience was, but these reps, seemed like they had no interest in helping at all. I'll save the bad words for another review, but here I am needing a phone that I really need, because my previous phone was stolen, and they're looking at their watches thinking about something else. Jake needs to straighten out his act, regardless of his sales expertise. He fails himself, The 19th street location, and Verizon Wireless entirely in how he demonstrated his example of being an employee. I was freaking out because I haven't gone to a Verizon store in over 2 years. The two near me in Rancho Cucamonga have terrible customer service in my estimation. went to the one on 19th near Campus in Upland this morning, and it was a very positive experience. The young man that helped me is named Mark Rojas, and he took all kinds of time with me, and I was reducing services because I am newly retired. In stead of brushing me off and trying to get through my requests and questions, he fully explained things for me. He is one of the best that have assisted me. I mentioned to his manager, Scott, what a tremendous job he was doing. I'm glad to write a glorious review, when many people just bother to do the ones that are negative. Go to this location, and bother to read what people write about their experiences. It is well worth it. read more

Let me first off by saying that I have never been compelled to write a yelp review or let alone use this app. The managers and staff of this Verizon store are very rude and disrespectful. Out of being with Verizon for more than 15 years of service, not once have I been treated so shitty and I was ready to cancel my service if they did not fix my problem. My iPhone had died suddenly and they were telling me to go all the way back to the apple to store get it replaced, the only thing is this is the second time my phone has died because it was defective. I mean you are Verizon, fix my damn phone! The manager was lying to the Verizon tech support on the phone saying I didn't want to talk to them when I agreed to call tech support so they can agree to activate my new phone. All I have to say is that those employees over there should either be fired or be trained on how to handle customers better instead of wanting to act like total assholes just because it was towards the end of their shift and they want to go home. Customers like myself are the ones who pay for their salaries, after being with Verizon for more than 15 years. I am very disappointed and disgusted with this store and will never go back. Went in tonight at about 6pm due to the fact that my iphone stopped working. I expected it to be busy due to holiday shopping, but i was able to walk right in. I was immediately greeted at the door, explained the issue and was handed off to another representative who assisted me. I forgot his name but my receipt said "Johnry- E19D2". The rep. Was very helpful. He attempted to diagnose the problem, and when he was unable to he let me know my options. He was not pushy, very friendly and professional. I have been a Verizon customer for years and have been to several Verizon stores in the area. This rep. Was one of the best if not the best I have dealt with. Thank you. read more

ive had verizon as my cell provider for well over 6 years now. they have the best network. after the iphone came out i almost switched, but then droid came out on verizon so i stayed. i have had the droid since the 3rd day it was available, very happy with the phone. one day it kept rebooting unless it was plugged in. i used it that day, just left it plugged in and hoped the problem might fix itself. it did not so i called customer service. he said 'no problem, you have the extended warranty. just go into the store and get a replacement'. i come to the store, they simply take my phone and go to the corner with it. they did not tell me what they were doing at all, came back a full 5 minutes later and said we are reinstalling the most recent update (froyo/2.2 - great update). i say, ok. another 15 minutes later the girl brings my phone to me and says, 'you'll need to sign in and your phone will be working again'. i am shocked to see they deleted EVERYTHING from my phone, EVERY app. i told her that she should have let me know beforehand, i could have at least made notes of some things i wanted to get back later. she just smiles and hands me my phone. i leave pissed thinking about how inconsiderate they are and doubting they could fix my phone anyway. 30 minutes later, almost done getting my phone set up again and the SAME problem is back. i go to the store again and this guy seems like he will do a little better, he tells me he will go check on a replacement. he comes back and tells me that i will get a new phone via fedex in 2 days. WHAT? i have a phone under warranty, pay extra every month for extended warranty and i have to wait? why? the phone is out of stock and he already searched a 60 mile radius. i tell him this is bullshit, but he promises a new phone will arrive in just 2 days. i go home, change my schedule around to make sure i am home when the phone should be arriving. NO phone, i sat there ALL day for nothing. i call customer service, he tells me the phone shows PENDING shipment. it has not even been sent yet! the next day is friday, so the soonest i will get it is monday. he takes a whole $9 off my bill - more bullshit. monday comes and goes, NOTHING. tuesday morning i call again and the lady tells me that they forgot to put my apartment number on the package and suggest I CALL fedex and straighten it out. i dont her she needs to call, i didnt mess it up. she agrees to call and tells me she will call me right back. 5 hours later she calls me and says that she put in the address correction request but has not heard back and she will be off work in 15 minutes. finally 10 days later i go to fed ex and pick my phone up myself. i know this review is about more than just the store, but this store sucks too. they offered no help. i do not understand offering a warranty that costs extra so that a replacement can be an option and not having the phone in stock for a 60 mile radius. that is a circle 120 miles wide! this is southern california, there are people living here...keep stock of what you offer. read more

Went in there about a month and a half ago because I have been with Verizon for about 15 years or more ever since I graduated high school. I went in I think the guy who helped me was Daniel but im not sure. I explained that two gigs for 80 bucks wasnt enough and he told me I could upgrade for 110 bucks for 6 gigs and asked him if that was the best that he could do and with a grim smile told me yes. Told me that in two weeks I would be back. I have seen so many promotions as to 10 gigs for 80 dollars on T.V. and facebook so my question is that if I have to cancel my current plan and start a new one for that after being such a loyal customer? Well after all that went to sprint for some horrible customer service and ended up with T mobile which here in Rancho works well so I will stick to them and am recommending friends to move. Verizon has great coverage but not to be paying an arm and a leg for. My payments were 160 a month because of my overage. Sorry verizon you lost a maybe lifetime customer. read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Received an email from Verizon to upgrade my phone, The man helping me agreed but when he asked the BIOTCH next to him she said no because I wasn't eligible for an upgrade till next month. Why did they send me an email then saying I could upgrade right away?? Left there irate called to cancel my contract and received a FREE Galaxy 5s for my trouble!!! Had a great experience at first, then felt stupid and ripped off. Went in to upgrade my phone, take off two IPads I don't use and to see about getting more data. Sales rep came out with three options for me. First, to add my new phone for $29 more a month, second, for an extra gig and accessories for $200.00 down and $14 more a month, the third included an Apple Watch for $599.00 down and $14 extra a month. I went with the second option so I could get a phone cover, portable charger and glass protector, not realizing that when added up they cost less that $150, not $200. I was told the 16 gig plan came with a jetpack, I told him I would never use it, but if it came with it, OK. I did not know that a charge for that was included in the $200, or that there would also be a monthly charge for it on my bill. I have no use for it, but I had no clue and didn't think I had to pick through every thing to make sure I wasn't getting taken. I left with everything in my bag and the comfort of knowing my IPads would be removed from my account. A week later, I was in Montclair and stopped by the store in the mall to add another line to my account for my daughter's boyfriend. Looking over my account, my IPads were still on there, as was this jetpack that I was being billed for. I asked them why I got that and the sales rep said he couldn't answer that but if I didn't want it I had 14 days to return it but I had to return it to the Upland store. After adding a phone and upgrading my plan to unlimited data, and finally removing my IPads, I took the jetpack back to the Upland location. I was assisted by the same sales rep who sold me my new phone and I told him I was not happy I got stuck with the jetpack that I didn't want in the first place and that I didn't realize I was being charged for. He said I could return it, but I would have to pay a restocking fee of $35. The Jetpack cost $41.61 and I had to pay $35 to restock it? Never opened, never wanted, never even knew I was being charged separately for it. This is BS. Horrible to take advantage of customers. I should have read the reviews on this store before I went in there, at least I would not be surprised by the deception. I will be doing all my business at the Montclair store from now on, they are awesome!!! read more

Damien and Ray were the absolute best. Ray was the first person to help me when I first went in and provided me with plenty of options for my specific situation. I came back a week later and since Ray was busy Damien helped me. Damien went above and beyond to help me and was able to provide me with a GREAT deal. This man is amazing! Ulysses was also great.
