I love this pizza place "Vero" much (pun intended!) We were craving Chicago pizza and had previously tried their takeout so we decided to dine in. My mom and I split a 10" buttet crust pizza and some boneless wings and everything was dee-licious! They have so many options to choose from including BYO pizza options and sandwiches and salads- there's something for everyone! We picked "The Mag Mile" which consisted of onions, mushrooms, sausage and fire-roasted tomatoes instead of green peppers. How delicious was this! I was staying in a local hotel and had been craving Chicago Deep Dish pizza for a while. To my knowledge the only other place that serves anything almost the same is Rosati's which I had years ago, but when I saw Vero in the list of places nearby to where I was staying I absolutely had to try them as I had never heard of them before. I ordered their deep dish with pepperoni, Italian sausage, ricotta, and fresh mozzarella. As a side and to try, I also ordered their boneless garlic-parmesan wings. The wait was almost an hour but I was using DoorDash and it was a Friday evening. The prices are a little higher due to $3+ per topping than the usual pizza places but then for a quality pie with fresh ingredients and great sauce, it was worth it! And besides while staying by myself, I justified it by saying that I could just feed off of the leftover pizza for a few days which is exactly what I did! And it tasted just as good left over! The pizza was superb. Cooked well but not raw or overdone. The taste was simply amazing I can only suggest whoever reads this gives them a try. The wings were crispy on the outside and the chicken cooked but tender and the flavor was also really good. If you're in the Gilbert area, give them a try. If I were staying longer I would order here again. I cannot speak for the establishment ambiance as my order was to go but the food is well worth it based on what I tried. Five stars! read more

The butter crust pizza is so delicious. I've only been there a few times, but I have really enjoyed it.

I've been wanting to try this place since they opened and luckily it didn't disappoint. My friend and I started with a small Vero salad (you have to get there dressing, de-lish!) We ordered the Mag Mile pizza (14" with butter crust). The pizza and salad I would give a 10/10 rating! However, we sat at the bar and the service was a little slow and we constantly had to ask for things like plates, silverware and refills on our soft drinks/water. Don't get me wrong, she was a nice girl but you could tell she was a very green bartender. Note: the butter crust is a deep dish so it takes a little longer to cook. We got the 14" not knowing to scale how large that would be and it was HUGE! Definently a bonus for leftovers, but next time we would get the 10" for two people. read more

First off as someone form Chicago the pizza here is top notch!!! Second the service here was unbelievable!!! Over the past month I have ended to needing to use an assisted device to get around, I came in to the building to pick up my food, the staff here not only offered, but insisted in walking my food to my car!! I'm quite disappointed with the pizza I ordered. I ordered carry out for a butter crust pizza and wings. It was too well done for me. Charred edges and bottom. I like some crisp but it just tasted burnt and very chewy. Almost too tough to bite into. The front staff was nice but there were multiple people waiting around for orders so I think they were behind. My 10-inch pizza took 75 minutes and I still had to wait over 5 minutes when I got there for my wings. The dining area didn't seem too busy. Cute place but not happy with my order. read more

We looked at getting a pizza from there tonight but they are just took expensive considering there are other places we order from regularly that we know we like for a lot less money. We decided though to get two orders of meatballs. We thought they weren't too bad in price. What a let down. The meatballs are so small. Like what you'd get in a bowl of spaghetti. I have never been to Chicago to try their famous pizza but lots of friends told us to try Vero's out and I'm so glad we did. Absolutely delicious pizza. The cheese is high quality (I know good pizza cheese), and the crust has this delectable buttery taste that rounds everything out. We also had the boneless wings, fries, and garlic bread. All so good! The pizza is thick and takes a while to make so plan accordingly. Lots of sports to watch while waiting if that's your thing. Go team! read more

After 9 hours of being at the soccer fields, we were ready for some good filling satisfying food and Vero came Through!! We ordered: garlic parmesan wings, house salad, 14" pepperoni pizza for the girls & a 14" sears tower - thin crust. The house dressing is delicious & the wings were left bone dry they were so good. The pizzas were filling, well seasoned & not soggy! Enough for leftovers, no complaints here! Lilly was our server and she was On It. We knew what we wanted and she was ready. I'm sure she could tell we were tired lol because she wasn't chatty, But she was friendly and showed up exactly when we needed something. The dining area is super spacious and I like how it was separate from the full bar they have. It's a nice layout too with booths throughout. Carried out a pizza. Got the thin crust Italian beef and giardiniera, think it's called the Millineium Park. Got it home and opened the box and at first I thought they gave us a cheese pizza. Very little beef and I think they just poured giardiniera juice on it. Crust was good, sauce was a bit on the sweeter side. The ambiance there was pretty cool with the fact that it had pictures everywhere, a bar with TV's, and it was relatively very casual. The service from our waiter was very friendly and courteous and everything was delivered as we ordered it. First time here tonight. Very impressed upon entering. The atmosphere was welcoming and the staff was outstanding. I ordered a calzone and had sausage meatballs and hot giardiniera. Yes the wife looked at me the same way you're looking at your phone now, but it was good. The giardiniera was HOT. I loved it. The wife ordered a ten inch thin crust with pepperoni, mushroom and onion. The pizza was good but they forgot the pepperoni. No biggie because she enjoyed it anyway. We brought it to our waitresses attention so we wouldn't get charged for it. Not only did she not charge us for the pepperoni but she gave us a whole new pizza on the house. She really didn't need to do that but it was greatly appreciated. We'll be back for sure to try some of the other items on the menu, looking forward to it. read more

The cheese, OMSD, tons of ooey-gooey delishisness.(sp) Ordered the sausage pizza, savory and fennel based, a must for any Chicago-Style pizza. Staff was friendly and helpful. I spoke to several patrons and they all seemed to love this place. I saw their Italian Beef, it looked on point, will definitely have to try. Great Chicago style pizza joint! Met up with some friends as this is there Friday night spot after a long or short work week. Great pies and wings to share. The staff are friendly and fun to talk with. We had the large butter crust deep dish supreme expect to take home leftovers and we did! Also had the wings with a mix of hot honey and Buffalo sauce, a recommendation from our friends and the staff as that is a winner! They also have a "no-mess" wings, and that appears to be very popular as they just ran out for the night. Great location to enjoy drinks and some dinner in a casual environment. This was not the first time that I have been to a Vero's location but this will probably be my go to location moving forward. I live in Queen Creek area and the one by me used to be Buddy's Pizza but has since changed to this and their service was anything to rave about but the food was good so that is why we went back. I attend a Yelp Elite Squad event at the one in Gilbert and there was night and day service. Even though we were a large crowd, we were able to get excellent service and prompt response from the servers taking care of us. They made it a great experience to go there. It is a Chicago themed sports bar so of course they had the Cubs on. And other games which made it for a great evening. The Bar was big and plenty of seating. From what i could tell we had most of the dining room, but we all seem to have a good time. So, onto the food!! We started with fired pizza dough, fries and onion rings, this seemed like a custom app for our party but it is a good idea just gives you a little taste of everything. Then I had a watermelon margarita. Now let me tell you I like tequila, this was flavorful and not bitter or had a harsh flavor. It was just GREAT!! They have a big selection for beer and a full cocktail menu to choose from. If you can't find something on there then you are looking for something crazy. The first Pizza that was brought out was a traditional Chicago deep dish pizza that had all of the veggies on it, cheese on the bottom and sauce on top of it. It was good but. I am not a big fan of veggies. Now the next one that came out was basically the meat lovers, Pepperoni, meatball, sausage, and bacon. My new favorite they came out piping hot, yummy and really no other way to describe it. It is just delicious, I am a pizza guy, so I would know. Food: Great! Service: Horrible We came in at 4:30. Every table on the dining room side was open and the bar was at 75%. The bartender was congenial to her patrons, however we sat on the bar side just not up at the bar. We waited a few mins for someone to greet us or offer a menu. No one. Four girls stood by the fountain drinks talking and giggling. Two girls were at the register (one training the other maybe?). I walked up to the register and helped myself to the menu since no one greeted us. I didn't want to overstep so I asked, "Is it okay to take one? Were we supposed to wait to be seated " "No you're fine. The bartender will come by and take your order." So we sat. And sat. And waited. And watched...the bartender talked and laughed with the men at the bar, the other girls STILL at the fountain drinks... watched her refill peoples drinks and not once look at us (or even notice we had grabbed our own menus). After ten mins the bartender comes over and says "Hi! Can I get you guys something to drink?" "Are you the only one serving the bar area?" "Yeah, but it's okay-it's not too busy!" "Well, we've been here for 10 mins." "Oh... sorry." (Smile gone) She took our drink order, answered our questions and went to get our drinks. She walked to the girls giggling at the fountain drinks and could be heard murmuring, no doubt how I'd been sitting here and she ignored us-but I'm the bad guy.
