We went to try their Philly cheesesteaks because we heard they were good and we were blown away! So much meat in the sandwich and the bread held up so well. We couldn't finish the entire sandwich so we had some for lunch the next day and it reheated really well too. We got ours to-go because they had limited seating that was already full. The food is undoubtedly great. But this place has gotten too popular for its own good and the service has gone so downhill because they can't handle the logistics of the orders. I've had issues on my last two trips. The first time, we ordered a cheesesteak and two pizzas and were told when to expect it to be ready. We arrived when told then proceeded to wait another 30 min unable to get any info. When we finally got everything, it turned out the the cheesesteak had been sitting for at least 30 minutes, making it cold and inedible by the time we got it. Then today I went with a friend. We separately ordered cheesesteaks at the same time. Mine was ready in 5 minutes. His wasn't ready for 30 minutes. Every time he tried to get an update he was told "it's not ready yet" numerous people came and left with food while he waited. I get it. You're busy. But this level of service is unacceptable. Absolutely fantastic cheesesteaks and pizza. After hearing about this newly opened spot a few months ago, I made my way over and order a cheesesteak and a slice of plain pizza. Wow! What a treat. The cheesesteak was huge and the meat, cheese and fried onions came together on a fantastic roll. The pizza was no joke either, crisp bottom and the perfect amount of cheese and sauce. Apart from the food, the lady at the counter was so nice. It was after lunch time so a little slow but she went above and beyond accommodating me and insisting she bring everything to me. Ambiance is neat and put together as it is very new. Seating options are decent for the space. Outdoor seating is available but you're in a shopping center so not much to see. All in all, can't wait for my next visit. Definitely have to eat there to experience the freshness of everything. They have an app, but its nothing to write home about. I usually complain about the cost of cheesesteaks but this one is very fairly priced at $15. Here's my concern for this cheesesteak, The Sarcone's roll. I am fully aware that Sarcone's is the gold standard of rolls. I think they are too dense for cheesesteaks (perfect for hoagies) and this one had a soft crust. This is a big cheesesteak. It feels like the meat/cheese are fighting with the dense roll for attention. I would put the roll in the pizza oven for a minute and then scoop it. Let me know if you make bread pudding with the scoopage. I love bread pudding. read more

We came in here with the family the first week it opened and it was very busy and a little chaotic. We got a cheesesteak and it fell short if expectations the first time around, it was on the drier side and the meat to bread ratio was uneven. Well after seeing so many of you posting about Verona Pizza Maple Glen me and the wife had to see for ourselves. I need to see what the hoopla is all about. Got my steak with mozz & copper fried onions upon this meat-missile. It was packed with a steaming meat-mound on such a great roll. Such an abundance of chunky onions as well. It was good but not my top 10. I prefer a well seasoned steak and this was lacking in that department. Next time I would ask for heavy seasoning. Still very good and top notch ingredients. The pizza's looked stupendous and they delivered in every way possible. Blissful crispy crust, amazing sauce and well balanced cheesy-cheese. I adored it oh so much. Verona Maple Glen has been opened for about 2 years. Early on it was dynamite for its pizza & cheesesteaks, but in the last 6 months, it's been horrible, from the food to the service. The pizza's, don't leave 2 inches of crust, which lately hasn't tasted good, without Sauce & cheese, dough isn't as good as it used to be (cutting corners? I think so). The last cheesesteaks which used to be sublime, the best anywhere, last 2 times were dusgusting, crap in the chewy steaks, so bad that I can't go back. This place has excellent cheesteaks. However, they cannot manage the customer orders. I placed an order for a cheesteak and was told to wait 45 minutes. So I drove around town on errands. They called me to tell me my cheesesteak was ready. Upon entering the store, I found out they had given my food to another customer by mistake. Fine. People make mistakes, so please make me another one.....however, they could not make me another cheesteak because they were out of bread. This place is well known for their cheesteak, so please tell me how they could run out of bread at 7:30? Food is great...if you are lucky enough to get it. Service is chaotic and lousy. The manager is behind the register yelling at her employees! . Lesson learned. I will never return. I will go to Antica Pizza in Warrington from now on. Their cheesesteak is just as good.
