As someone who has been Gluten- Free for 8 years this is the first time I have been able to walk into a shop and order GF food that taste like real Italian food. Being an Italian from NY, this is something I have greatly missed. The owner will be at the shop often, and you can't miss him. Delicious! I have never had so many gluten free choices all in one restaurant! I had the lasagna and it was a HUGE serving! Delicious with top quality ingredients. There is a case of delicious looking gluten free desserts! I had the key lime pie with ginger snap crust and it was incredible! My dad has the magic cookie bar and loved it. Lots of locals coming in and picking up the gluten free baked goods while we were there. The gluten free pizza looked good as well! It was a little hard to find and had I not seen it on yelp I probably would have never stumbled upon it! Tiny little place full of yummy food! Only open for dinner 4-9pm. Vertoris Pizza House Due to COVID-19 my family and I are in quarantine. As I am immunocompromised individual that cannot risk indoor dining, I cannot directly comment on the atmosphere or service here. I believe the restaurant has imposed a take-out only policy with no in-person dining considering this difficult time. The take-out options were perfect for our family. My mother is on a gluten-free diet. So, a restaurant that has delicious gluten-free options that the whole family can enjoy is always a winner. My mom had the gluten-free lasagna. As a non-gluten-free person who tried some, it was perhaps one of the best lasagnas I have had a long time. The Vertoris salad is a delicious side, accompanied with authentic family-friendly New York style pizza. The huge size pizza had the biggest pizza box I have ever seen in my life. (There is no medium size. There is only small, large and then huge!) I personally enjoyed a side of buffalo wings. I also enjoyed the cheesecake both for dessert and for breakfast the next two mornings after. The size of the cheesecake alone allowed to enjoy for multiple sittings without feeling deprived. The only thing I could critique is gluten-free garlic bread. The texture was very grainy. The flavor of the bread was okay, but probably not something we would order again. Overall, though, we enjoyed our experience. Making quality gluten-free options are very difficult, from my mother's experience, bread is a prime culprit. I recommend this restaurant for people on gluten-free diets looking for delicious Italian food. Alternatively, Vertoris is a fantastic option for people just looking for a good pizza. We have not tried the gluten-free pizza yet, but our experience was so good that my mom cannot wait to try it when we order again. read more

Terrible service by the owner and staff. Order was placed through a delivery service. When the order arrived it did not match what we ordered. The delivery driver said he has seen this same issue happen to numerous customers that he has delivered to from Vertoris Pizza. So, we took what we received and our receipt to their Pizza House. They told us it was the delivery services problem and if we wanted what we originally ordered we would have to pay full price, again. The cashier contacted the owner and he refused to do anything to make this right. I don't understand why a business would not make some sort effort to a customer who had receipts and the pizzas with them. I was really looking forward to this place. The menu has many, many gluten free selections, even gluten free beer! I have celiac and my wife does not. There were both regular and GF versions of most dishes. We asked what was their specialty. The answer was the meat Lasagna. I ordered the GF version and my wife ordered the regular. The portions were huge, but after the waiter brought them out he told us they were both the GF versions. They had run out of the regular. GF pasta can not be over cooked - it turns to mush! Both dishes were mushy with much more ricotta than meat. We told him we were disappointed, but got little reponse. We will not return. If you go avoid the GF pasta. read more

Oh my goodness we drove an hour to try this and we weren't disappointed. Friendly atmosphere was nice but the food was to die for. Hubby hasn't had eggplant parm in a decade since turning gf but tonight oh gosh, we'll be coming back for more, and often. My husband is lactose intolerant and he loves Italian food. Unfortunately, the things he wants are loaded with dairy and he can't eat them. I saw a previous comment about the gluten free and dairy free options and decided to give this place a try. We ordered the df/gf eggplant lasagna and df/gf chicken parmigiana for delivery and split the meals. HOLY yum. The eggplant lasagna was huge!! The noodles for the chicken parm where crunchy so that was a bummer. The spinach salad was okay and we really did not care for the gf bread that comes with the entree (too dry and crumbly). We have been going here for three years now. The reason I haven't reviewed it before is because I am selfish. Afraid it will become too popular and I will have to wait for a seat. This is a typical pizza place in a strip mall but don't let that put you off. The food is excellent and the restaurant is very clean. We had the margarita pizza with the thin crust and it was as good as any pizza that we've had. Also had a salad and decided to go with the house dressing which is a Chianti dressing. I had heard good things about this place and wanted to find a good pizza joint closer to us than Danny's (which we LOVE). we really wanted to like it. Got it home and sadly we're not impressed. Pizza was really greasy and the crust was not as thin as we like. I realized after that they had a thin crust option, but it wasn't offered to us over the phone. I also ordered the eggplant lasagna. Ate three bites, no more. The eggplant slices were way too thick, so were undercooked. And the sauce for some reason tasted heavily of vinegar to me. Ate here with my husband, brother and his wife after reading they were vegan and gluten free friendly and we were not disappointed. The crust on my gluten free pizza was thin and crispy. I got the vegan option and was very happy with it even though a section of the crust was a bit too brown. It is family owned and operated. Our waitress was also the owner and said she makes her own gluten free flour and does all the baking. They also had a gluten free, vegan lasagna and eggplant Parmesan I would love to try. Husband was happy to see a pizzaghetti on the menu which he ordered. We used to have a pizza place and he would bake a similar pizza for our family. It is pizza crust topped with spaghetti and meatballs and he loved it.
