A great addition to the South Bay coffee scene! I was pleasantly surprised how big this location was. It's bright, new, beautiful and clean. Coffee is good and potent, which is what I expect from a Verve cup. I love how they can make Gibraltars, which is my go-to coffee drink (with oat milk and extra ice please!) There's some seating inside, which were all taken up early even though we got there at 8 am. It's right next to Lemonade in Metlox, so there's also seating outside to enjoy the sun as you sip coffee. I'm absolutely shocked this review isn't 5. Being an espresso connoisseur, this is the place to go. The only flaw is the price, which is justifiable with the coffee. Everywhere now is becoming more expensive for coffee, not sure why. Makes sense though because people will pay. I ordered a simple oat chai latte. My order was remade three times. the first one came out with ice , the second time they made it with whole milk the third time it came out tasting like water I looked on the site so I could contact them directly but I could not find the information. I do not recommend ordering the chai latte if it taste like water regularly . read more

Drinks overrated and service is beyond slow. Baristas are aggressive and will kick out anybody, irrespective of age and number of customers, if they are holding a Starbucks cup. I literally wouldn't not take the take out of my day to write this if it were not for the aggressive chair policy. Great way to turn off customers. read more

So excited to welcome this Santa Cruz-based coffee company to MB! The staff is EXTREMELY friendly. They answered all of my questions about their drinks and even offered free samples of their oat milk soft serve and honey lavender and coconut sugar draft lattes (all tasted great, btw). I ended up with my classic (iced dirty chai) which was great. A bit on the pricey side ($7.50) but I found it worth it. Conveniently located in downtown Manhattan Beach, near parking structures, and other shopping/restaurants where outdoor seating is plentiful. They just opened but their grand opening is set for after Labor Day 2021. One suggestion for staff: don't skip the tip screen!! You deserve it and we want to tip you! read more

My friend brought me here yesterday saying it's her new favorite coffee place in the area! We go to a lot of coffee shops so I was intrigued when she told me it was her new favorite! We went with a few other friends and everything was so delicious that I had to take my boyfriend today. I had just gotten off a really early morning shift and was feeling a bit hangry. I got the whiskey latte with oatmilk again and decided on the avocado toast. While I was trying to dig into my toast I completely knocked over my whole latte before I could get a sip. I was so sad and had spilled all over the table and myself. My boyfriend quickly ran to get napkins and the barista there was so nice she gave me a new latte no problem. Not only is the coffee and the food amazing but the staff there is incredibly nice. This place is amazing and definitely will be coming back and bringing friends. TERRIBLE!!! I got a mocha and it had three hairs in it and one on the lid! I had avocado toast with rock hard avocados and more hairs on the toast! I came across Verve, as I was walking towards the beach. The coffee shops ambience is peaceful. I ended up trying the iced mocha with oat milk, and it was amazing! I had espresso, which was fine and chocolate croissant, which was good. But the reason why I am giving it a low rating is because they allow dogs to roam through the store without the owner anywhere in sight. There was a very large dog behind me in line, which was on a leash, and then another large dog showed up. I was waiting to get my coffee, and the dog with no owner was putting his snout on the counter. I asked the person behind the counter to please get that dog's nose away from my coffee, and he just said it wasn't his dog. How can they allow stray dogs to just wander in wandering through the store, no leash attached, and put their nose all over the counter? read more

Big car show event in Manhattan Beach and Vevre can't accommodate an order of soft serve with espresso poured over the top, WHICH is advertised in a lovely color display at the register. Did management think about temporarily removing the display since the soft serve machine is broken??? OR, offering a complimentary coffee or coupon for later because of inconveniencing the customer?? Sooooo, disappointed customer, lost business during a day when high client traffic is directly outside their door. Great coffee. I mean really good coffee. However, grossly understaffed given the price. Every time I walk in it takes 15 minutes to get a cup of coffee even with only 2 or 3 people on line. Also I tried the chicken salad sandwich and it came on a large focaccia type roll with a tiny amount of chicken covering less than half the bread. Not worth the $12 price. read more

Verve is the best!!! Before trying Verve coffee I was never really interested in the flavor of my coffee, and thought that it all tasted kind of bad. Now, I am addicted to the mocha and I get it at least twice a week. Their selection of pastries is also delicious, my favorite is the maple scone. It is deliciously crumbly but not too dry, and it has a wonderful maple flavor. The croissant is also amazing, so fresh and buttery!! The customer service is amazing, the baristas are so fast, and so helpful when customer are trying to decide what to order. Definitely come here, I can't go to other coffee places now because I know that I will wish that I went to Verve. read more
