Was double booked and asked if I was here for a totally different shot I said no heart worm shot n bordella shot. He looked at Jenna n she said oh that must be another dog. Doctor was great discussed how she healed from her getting neutered 2 months ago. Said she did good, and requested medication for her to travel which he prescribed. Doctor left and she took my dog in back and I waited for 30 min. Asking reception where is my dog she only getting two shots. Jenna finally came in and said it takes 10 min for a heart worm test. I told her I didn't request a test! She informed me she needed one to get the shot. I told her that's not what the doctor said. She had all her lab work done previously when she got neutered. She said that was 2025 last year. I said could you please go back and read her chart you got the wrong dog! She was here two months ago. To make it short we were there for hour and 15 min. I refused to pay for the test that I did not request she wouldn't give her the heart worm shot. Secondly manager asked why I requested for Jenna not to be seen in the future with my dog. Told her the story and she said it's just a miscommunication and told the receptionist to make sure they charge me for a physical exam. Which they added the heart worm exam with it. That cost $82 for the exam n I usually pay only $45 totally ripped off and manager didn't help at all!!

I wanted to save some money by purchasing allergy medication online. It was half the price South Auburn veterinary clinic was charging. And they told me they would only sign to fill online prescriptions once a week on Wednesday. So they forced me to purchase another week of medication from them, or pay another 50+ dollars to get seen by another veterinarian, or make my pets suffer with allergies. Then they act like they were doing me a big favor when they forgot to fill it out on Wednesday the following week and they had to fill it out on Thursday. This place is a scam and I would avoid it at all cost.

I scheduled a hospice consult for my sweet 13 year old lab and received a quick response with a call from Jennifer. Even though I never met Jennifer, I felt like she was holding my hand during the whole process. When it was time for our hospice consult, Dr. Chandler came to our house and assessed our boy along with going over quality of life. She even gave him a treatment before she left to see if it would help his mobility. After the consult, I received a very thorough email from Dr. Chandler giving me a breakdown of my dog's prognosis along with some treatment options. She reached out to other mobile vets on my behalf and provided helpful links for every option of care that she gave me. Jennifer also followed up to check on Oakley to see how he was doing. When it was time to make the decision for me to let him go, I texted Dr. Chandler (after hours on her day off). She still responded. She came out a couple days later to our home and we were able to give him a peaceful goodbye on our lawn, which was his favorite place. Dr. Chandler treated Oakley with such care and dignity from start to finish. Jennifer also called me again to check on my wellbeing a week after we said goodbye. Dr. Chandler reached out to me on a Saturday to let me know she had Oakley. He was ready to return home. She worked with us on getting him back and even went as far as matching the tissue paper to the color of his fur for the packaging. She also included a beautiful dog card along with his name which was handwritten. It lays against the paw print and clipping of his hair she gave us. I hope I provided enough details as to why Love Always is not only the best, but the only option I would ever use when having someone take care of my beloved companions.

So after some research and heavy sad discussions, we found Kelly and Love Always. You're a mess because you are dealing with the worst thing you absolutely don't want to do....but? She made it so amazing. We wouldn't have changed a thing. Kelly was actually available to come earlier than expected ( as we unfortunately needed her to ). She was calm, sweet, patient and soothing. She was so loving with our helping our 19 year old kitty Jet go to her final sleeping place. Every question answered, everything already thought of. She gave us the option to leave her with us, take her/cremate and return, or cremate and have her hang with other amazing pets. We received follow up texts and emails and then finally got this card where the majority of my tears finally came. Luckily I had posted our initial experience, a pal saw and was able to help another pal, Puck, help take his final nap Thank you SO Kelly and Love Always. Highly recommend. And finally able to post with way less tears....barely

The total amount of treatment that he could have received could have been $1400, but the vet (Dr. Marrs) explained very patiently what we could do as a minimum treatment, and only add more if needed. Our cat is doing great now and it doesn't look like we even need more treatment at this point! She completely solved the problem with minimal cost / work. I see this as a mark of professionalism - she really knows her stuff. And I appreciate this. Simple solutions are the best solutions, and she nailed it. Thank you North Fork!!

I almost never write negative reviews. If you look at my history on Yelp or Google you will see…read morethat when I leave a review it is almost always positive. I am not someone who tries to attack a business online. The only reason I am writing this is because I feel I was genuinely disrespected and wronged, when I simply just wanted some accountability and integrity in return for their miscommunication and failure to produce lab results when they said they would. It is concerning to take a loved one in to find out what might be wrong, trust the clinic to handle it, and then be left hanging for days wondering if something serious is happening and whether they need immediate attention. On November 13 I brought my dog, Buck, to North Fork Vet for a checkup (vomiting in-digested food and red itchy paws) and paid over three hundred dollars for full bloodwork. I was told the results would be ready that night or the next day. No one called. Wanting to be patient and give them time, I didn't call back right away. It wasn't until Tuesday, November 18, that I finally reached out since it had been several days with no updates. I was told a veterinarian would call me soon. No one called. On November 24 I called again and was transferred to Ben, the manager. Instead of solutions he gave me excuses. He said the doctor had personal matters (this is 11 days after the fact) which I completely understand, but that doesn't help me get any closer to answers. I had paid for important tests and still had zero information about my dog's health. This morning, after an already frustrating conversation, Ben called me back. He did not have results. He called only to tell me that the owner of the clinic "tried to call me and left a voicemail." That is where everything fell apart. My voicemail has been full for over two months. I got ahold of AT&T and into my account and opened the call history and there were no incoming calls from the vet on Nov 18th. I didn't have any incoming calls that day only 3 outgoing calls, 1 of them was to NorthFork Vet at 9:23 am (the call that I made to them to try and get an update on the labs). Here's the thing, The clinic has my email on file. If they truly reached a full mailbox, they could have easily emailed results. My phone number has been the same for thirty years, so the claim that a message was left is not true unless they were calling the wrong number. I was frustrated, and I am honest about that. I never yelled, but I was emotional after paying for tests, getting no results, being told different stories each time, and then being blamed for ignoring a voicemail that literally could not have been left. When I tried to express this, Ben said, "I don't know what's wrong with you." That comment to a worried pet owner was unacceptable. He then told me that he would no longer be working with me or my dog. Honestly, once trust is broken I understand that. He said my money would be refunded, which I appreciate. It was truly never about the money, I just wanted to know that Buck didn't have any major complications. What shocked me was that he also said the veterinarian would not be calling me at all anymore and that my dog's lab results would be emailed with no explanation from any doctor. I did finally receive the labs today from North Fork Vet, but now I have to go to a different vet and pay more just to have a professional walk me through the findings. North Fork may have been in business since 1984 and may have a good reputation, but none of that changes what happened to me. I paid for lab work and never received a single call from a veterinarian. I was given conflicting explanations, told things that were not true, blamed for a voicemail that cannot exist, and eventually dismissed entirely. I am writing this so other pet owners know what can happen. No one caring for a pet should feel ignored, blamed or disrespected like this. I wish the clinic the best, but I am extremely disappointed in how I was treated and how this situation was handled. To leave on a positive note, thank you so much for taking care of Buck for the first couple of years. We really had nothing but positive outcomes until recently. We wish things had ended up differently. Dog bless.

This was not done with conversations about facts, but with statements lacking nuance and assuming that all people who are not vets are idiots. This veterinarian may not be for you if you believe in species appropriate diets, spacing out vaccines, using titer testing, or any attempt to engage in dialogue that goes against their beliefs. I was treated like I might lick my uncleaned counter after prepping raw meats or like I might lick my fingers after picking up dog poo in my yard. On the positives, they do have good weekend availability, fairly reasonable pricing and if you are 100% on board with Western Vet medicine without need for intuition or nutritional approaches, then you will like most of them. There are some truly great people at this vet clinic & not every experience has been negative. My review is based on their unwillingness to have the pet owner be a part of the process and to not being open to dialogue about different approaches to nutrition & care options.

He had started bleeding on Sunday - and we could not find an emergency vet open that had available appointments - but ended up at the one in Shingle Springs - DO NOT USE THEM. It was a horrible experience with them. They took him away from us - and would not let us stay with him and put him in a cage in the back room for over an hour. They even wanted to anesthetize our boy Elgin to get x-rays of his sinus and chest. They did not seem to care that he was a senior - 13 yrs. almost - and doing that would have killed him on the table. They even had the nerve to bring us the 'orders form to sign' which had that they were going to go ahead and anesthetize him anyway - if I had not caught that on the 'form tablet' before I signed - he would have been killed at that clinic. He turned out to have an oversized heart - and a 'dark mass' in his chest. The bill was around $800 for that one visit. The doctor wanted us to go to Loomis Basin Clinic and have a CT done on him the next day - what a stupid vet - they have to anesthetize to do a CT. Do NOT use that vet!!!! The next day - Monday - we called around and found that Companion Vet Clinic had an opening to see Elgin. When we got there he had started bleeding profusely from his nostrils again. BUT, they put us in a room WITH HIM. The vet tech came in and turned out she used to be the x-ray tech at Loomis Basin and did the CT's for this type of condition - probably tumor (cancer) of the sinus. She said that he would not have made it through the CT - age and the end results would have ended his life. Furthermore, she told us that that procedure (even on younger dogs) is brutal and does not end well - most can't recover or even tolerate the surgery (which would be after the CT). SO, we let our boy Cross The Rainbow Bridge with the help of the staff at Companion Vet. THEY ARE THE BEST PEOPLE WHO REALLY CARE DEEPLY ABOUT YOUR BELOVED PETS. Highly recommend them. And we found out they are open - emergency hours - on the weekend. They made the arrangements for cremation and everyone signed a beautiful card to us about our boy Elgin. So. Take your pets to the BEST - COMPANION VETERINARY CLINIC!!!!

You first need to call and leave them a message with the information they ask on their voice mail. Then, they call you back to get you on the schedule. You need to put down the payment over the phone to secure your spot for the spay or neuter. I was called back about 48 hours later, and on the schedule in less than a week. When the day arrived, you need to arrive at 7:30am and call the number on the banner at the front entrance to let them know your there. Then, you go up to the window when they call you back, to check in. They have the option to micro chip your furry friend, so if course, I wanted Sophie chipped. That I paid for when she was ready for pick up. They tell you they'll call you when your loving pet is finished. Sophie was done later that morning and would be ready for pick up at 1:30pm. Everyone here seemed so gentle and loving with Sophie. They are amazing for what they do. I am so thankful they were able to help me take good care of Sophie!
