But the amount of time and care she gave Bailey did not go unnoticed. She answered all questions and concerns I had while explaining both the pros and cons for surgery. Other vets had me worried about kneecap displacement on small dogs and how surgery is basically a must do. She explained why it might not be needed and what grade she would give Bailey on it (had some tell me he's a Grade 4 while she took the x-rays and felt him, watched him walk etc and he isn't a 4). I asked her questions about how many surgeries like this she's done and she told me how long, the changes, etc. She's been doing this a long time and I feel 1000000000% safe with her doing any surgery for Bailey. I know price is a big factor, especially in the comments. Another big factor is, while I'm not sure if she did this because she saw how I was with Bailey or anything, but the price was very affordable compared to the 5-6 quotes I got over the phone from other places. And Care Club helped as well as it looks like it gives you a free x ray for the year. Again, Dr Fahie is the surgeon you want to see for your pets with her knowledge and she truly cares. I can't thank her enough.

I wanted to update my previous review because our experience with Yorba Regional Animal Hospital…read morehas considerably changed, and I think it is only fair to acknowledge that. We have three dogs, all with different needs and different insurance, and I can only imagine how difficult it can be at times to keep everything organized. One of our dogs is a military service dog, another is a retired service dog, and our third is a pug with quite a few medical issues. Yorba Regional has been extremely patient, accommodating, and kind with all three of them. The veterinarians are knowledgeable and available when we need them, and Dr. Hong and the staff have been wonderful with our dogs. Most importantly, our dogs genuinely love them and are comfortable there. I also really appreciate that, in our experience, they don't try to push unnecessary exams, vaccinations, or treatments. They discuss what our dogs actually need and have always been respectful of our decisions regarding their care. Of course, this is our personal experience, and everyone may have a different experience. But we have been bringing our dogs to Yorba Regional for over 14 years, and after all that time, I think it's important to give credit where credit is due. We are extremely happy with the care our dogs receive at Yorba Regional Animal Hospital and very grateful to Dr. Hong and the entire staff for the kindness and care they continue to show our family.

I had to bring Marina, our 8 year old German Shepherd, here in an emergency situation…read more Unfortunately we lost her to cancer and had to say goodbye. Although I would have preferred Marina's last 24 hours to be at home with us, I cannot think of a better facility for her to have been in. The doctors and staff were so caring and compassionate towards her and treated her so well. They were very friendly and helpful to us, and above all, very honest and really went above and beyond to help Marina as best as we could along with keeping a realistic budget in mind. These people really do care and give all they have to provide the best care possible for the animals. They were very compassionate about breaking the bad news to us. They were very understanding of our emotions and allowed us plenty of time to spend with our girl and say our goodbyes. As well as allowed us to be by her side all the way to the end. Marina was very special to us and our brave girl gave everything she had to us all the way till her last breath. Although it was not the conclusion that we had wanted, the people at Anaheim Hills Pet Clinic really made it as smooth and as comfortable as possible for our sweet baby. And we are eternally grateful for that! Thank you for giving your best for our girl. For trying your best to save her. For making her as comfortable as possible. Even with Covid and waiting in the parking lot, they took extensive notes and Dr. Falco was VERY GOOD! I was actually impressed with the concern and wanting to know details about my baby bearded dragon Mortimer. I called all of the reptile vets in my area and they were all booked up for months or weeks and he needs immediate attention they were able to give me an appointment for the next day. The reptile vet Dr. Falco was very knowledgeable And gave Mortimer 2 shots and gave me food to take home with instructions. He might not make it but we'll see what the lab tests say. Overall EXTREMELY happy with attention to detail, open late, (it's 6pm) and able to see my pet with 24 hours of me calling. Considering taking my dog here from now on instead of his usual doctor. Thank you for sve 4 year update. My baby dragon was on his death bed needing to be euthanized. Years later he's a big fat lizard who started eating by himself the next day after seeing the doctor.

I wanted to take the time to leave a glowing review for Dr. Berschauer and his staff…read more We came into Healing Hearts around 8pm on 8/8 to unexpectedly say goodbye to our family dog, who had been with us for 13 years. I was devastated at the possibility that this was going to be the outcome, and Dr. Berschauer and his staff made the pain of losing a pet and all of the emotions that came with it feel just a tiny bit more bearable. Their bedside manner, the way they treated us, and especially the way they treated our dog meant so much to us. Moments like these are incredibly hard, and I'm just so thankful that this was the place we chose to go, even though there were other facilities much closer to us. We never felt rushed & Dr. Berschauer took the time to make sure we understood why he believed it was the right decision given our dog's physical state and the pain he was in. His kind words and the way the entire staff cared for us made it feel like such a peaceful transition for our dog. We left obviously heartbroken and incredibly emotional, but also at peace knowing that he was surrounded by us and was able to take his last breath peacefully. It never felt clinical or like we were just in a room waiting for something awful to happen. They gave us the time and space to say goodbye. Thank you so much to Dr. Berschauer and your entire staff. It meant more to us than you probably realize to have that time with him and to be there when he took his last breath. We will always be grateful for the kindness you showed our family during one of the hardest moments we've ever had.

Since the location moved, we've experienced a noticeable decline in customer service--it now feels impersonal and uncomfortable. We've also had ongoing difficulty obtaining prescriptions to fill at Costco, which has been especially frustrating for my mother and has required others in our family to step in. Most concerning, there have been instances where medication was provided without a clear understanding of our dog's condition. Another Vet advised us medications prescribed by Vet in Banfield have contributed to our dog's condition worsening. Given these experiences, we no longer feel confident continuing care at Banfield for my dog nor other family pets.

Before bringing in the pet I looked up what could be causing the symptoms - I've had dogs before with flea outbreak so I know what flea eggs look like. I decided to try out dr woods to see if he he'd have other alternatives routes we could take and the risks; he listened and reasoned through some of the literature I found (I thought it could be allergies to a kibble we switched the cat to). He also explained that even though you don't visibly see flea eggs- pets could be allergic to a flea bite (which doesn't manifest into a flea outbreak). Their time estimation for lab results and medicine was truly quick. We were very impressed. The parking lot is big but the street is very busy during peak times.

I had called earlier to ask questions before making an appointment and they were really good about calling my back right away. Intake was quick and easy. They had paperwork I missed filling up before the appointment but it is short and completed in no time. The reception folks were super nice and chill -I had tried to go to a big name hospital vet last month and did not appreciate the attitude the front desk people gave. After intake, they weighed my dog and got us a room. We also didn't have to wait long to see the Dr. He was really calm which I liked as my dog is fearful reactive. Also, he was good about not pushing treatments for my boy that I did not feel comfortable about. I appreciate that reception also emailed an itemized copy of my receipt at end of day. The other clinic I had to call a week later to remind them to send it Service was great, I liked the people. Inside the clinic was cute and welcoming. It did smell like pee in the waiting room but it probably just happened before our appointment. I asked for training resources and and they gave me a card of a local trainer. A good amount of parking in the shared lot. All in all pleased with visit and service. Thank you Dr. Woods and epic front desk team.

They came out the same night we called and treated our boy with such gentle care. A month later, he was returned to us in a beautiful cedar urn, complete with a certificate and a clay paw print. We are so grateful for the kindness and dignity they provided throughout. Highly recommend.

We arrived early, so early in fact that the Cardiology Department was not yet open…read more We waited in the car and since their parking lot was open and large it wasn't an issue. It was our first time within the ACCESS network so we did not know that the Cardiology Department was separate from Internal Medicine and the Emergency Department. We didn't know that there were so many varying departments. It didn't set in that this was a specialty clinic not a traditional veterinarian office (even though "specialty animal hospital" is literally in their name...haha). The Cardiology Department was on the second floor in a building shared with other companies. The office was clean and peaceful. The women at the front desk were kind and patient. They answered our questions and were helpful. We were seen quickly in the consultation room and I love that the nurse drew a cute little picture with cat ears and whiskers, and put our cat's name on the white dry erase board that was outside of the consultation room. She listened intently to our concerns as it had already been confirmed that the referring veterinarian had provided our cat's health records. We fully expected to wait a while for the doctor since we were about forty minutes early but about five minutes later Dr. Cole greeted us warmly with a team of onlookers (supporting doctors, maybe interns too not exactly sure). Dr. Cole was patient and explained the process for examining our cat's heart health. He answered our questions and took our fur baby for the testing. Around twenty minutes later he and his team returned with the results. He explained the prescription medicine that would be beneficial for our cat and gave further medical advice for our cat. I really appreciated the transparency and clarity around the results. I felt relieved to have such a warm, competent and friendly doctor handling the care for our fur baby. I'm torn writing this review because my dog's first visit when he needed an MRI went fairly well…read moreand the staff was nice. Granted the bill racked up to a pretty penny but that's expected at any vet hospital and isn't the issue. My issue comes from my call today to inquire about flea medication. My dog was diagnosed with seizures and placed on phenobarbital meds ever since the first visit. He used to be on Next Guard but after starting phenobarbital he can no longer take it. He also had severe reaction to topical flea medication like frontline/advantix. I called today to ask his neurologist what they recommend as flea preventative for dogs who get seizures and are taking phenobarbital. The employee I spoke to on the phone went to ask and came back telling me the doctor we had seen before is no longer working there so they can not advise me. I asked why their current neurologist couldn't advise me then based off his records as nothing has changed and I'm just inquiring about general flea preventative that they recommend is safe for dogs with his condition . She told me I would need to bring him in to be seen by the current neurologist first before they could recommend me anything. It just seems like a complete money grab to make patients come in and pay another visit fee just to get some basic information. The facility was already paid when my dog was first a patient there, the information shouldn't follow his doctor. They still have his information on file if needed. They clearly care more about squeezing as much money as possible from pet owners than caring and advising someone to help their pet that was already a patient in their system. It's giving "pay money in order to get the answer to your question" vibes. "Profit before people" (in this case, pets)

We have been to LBAE a number of times for our Golden Retriever Byron…read more The latest incident required surgery for an obstruction. As always, Byron received great care and has recovered. Dr Ravi did the surgery and we appreciated the follow-up. Dr Lee and Dr Kerr also provided great support. Because Byron has IBD his symptoms could have been dismissed as part of his condition. We were lucky that when Dr Lee suggested an xray, we took her advice. Everyone at Long Beach Animal Emergency was amazing.

Bill came in high ($5k) for their services (which AI says is on the high end based on a survey of these services elsewhere, although who knows if that's true?), and I was in no position to shop around so I was fine to pay whatever it cost to get her better. * But if you can shop around, you should. * All this to say: I was not a difficult client and I'm SO grateful LBAE was able to help my dog get healthy (as far as I can tell just 48 hours later.) That said: would someone please train these folks in customer service/bedside manner? WOW. (Read your not-5 star reviews, LBAE!) I really hope I never need an animal ER ever again but if I do, I'll likely have a plan on where else I can go aside from here. A little thoughtfulness and a gentler touch go a long long way with humans too.
