Innocent baby eating everything that's not food
    Angelica C.

I can't say enough about the care we received at this emergency vet. When my almost 3-year-old fur baby, Tobi, swallowed what looked like a crocheted sock on our walk, I was beyond scared. I couldn't find any emergency vets nearby in Chino Hills, but I was so fortunate to find this place. From the very first call, they treated me and Tobi like family. I was able to be right there with him every step of the way. No separation, just inclusion. They let me witness everything, from inducing vomiting to the X-rays, and they were so confident and calm, which helped me stay calm too. Ultimately the object was too big and needed an endoscopy with claw thing to remove which had me SHAKINGGG. They explained every single step, even when I didn't fully understand, and I felt so included, like we were part of their family. They were not just attentive to Tobi, but also to me, meeting both our needs and keeping me as calm as possible. Thank you to everyone--Bri, Elle, Sebastian, and Dr. Wickham, you made us feel so seen and loved. If you're looking for a vet who treats your pet and you like family, this is the place. Thank you all so much! I can't thank you guys enough

My husband and I brought our cat Fuzzie in to be put down after a long battle of health problems. Fuzzie was over 20 years old. We had gotten her as kitten so she had been our sweet buddy for almost half our life. The staff at VEG were so compassionate and made process very easy. We had a cozy room to hold her and spend her last moments with her. The doctors were so kind and gentle. The entire staff even signed a sympathy card and sent it to us in the mail. It's been a week since we had to say our goodbye but I can't think of a better place we could have chosen. We thank you guys so much for being so kind and thoughtful on one of the hardest days of our life.

Chunk the bulldog having over 400 ml fluid drained from his abdomen.

First of all, Thanks to all of the VEG team for helping our senior English bulldog get some relief yesterday evening. Chunk needed fluid drained from his abdomen - 400ml, 6 hrs and $1000 later - he was comfortable and we were happy to take him home the same night. A special thank you to Dr. Lauren, for explaining her findings and test results to point us in the right direction for next steps in solving our bulldog's health mystery. And a shout out to Kloey for being so amazing with our boy throughout the entire process and procedure to drain the fluid from his abdomen. A couple of things to keep in mind - I think it's always important to listen to your gut and stay in tune with your pet, especially in emergency situations. Set your boundaries, ask questions and make informed decisions. No matter where you go, It's also never fun, quick or very affordable dealing with a pet emergency. The people can make a huge difference.

Another review this time for my husky, Moose. Moose had grand mal seizure on Sunday night that lasted about 2 minutes. It scared the crap out of me since he's never had a seizure before. My family had to take him in as I had to run to the human ER due to him biting me and breaking my wrist during the seizure. Despite not being there in person, VEG kept me updated and let my family stay with him. They were very understanding on why I wasn't there for my Moose. They kept him overnight for observation and gave me a dose of emergency meds for Moose incase he has another seizure. This place is amazing and I'm so thankful for them.

We lost our beautiful Camila. Sadly she needed surgery and no matter how many times I calculated the numbers. This time we could no cover her surgery. I've lost people in life and I learn over time to take a lost well but this time is was different & very hard. I quickly got JLo her niece car insurance. I cannot go through this again From the start a young lady by the name of Bri made everything just a little better for us & Dr Ortiz. I also want to thank the staff for the lovely card they sent us. Little things like that really mean the world to us!

Had to come to VEG to get my dog's sutures restitched. She scratched a (healed) incision site a little too zealously and popped the wound right back open, and although my regular vet would have fixed her back up, driving to Corona on a Friday night wasn't my idea of a good time. All that in mind, my regular vet was able to send my dog's records to VEG so that everyone knew the important details. The staff here from the doctors to the technicians and the receptionist were all very kind and helpful, which is very much appreciated when needing emergency medical attention for a furry family member. The techs did the initial check of my dog while the doctor read her records. A course of treatment was agreed upon and then we waited. I discovered that a pet ER is not much different from a people ER in that there's an inevitable wait...a long one! We came in at 5:30 and didn't come home with our girl until 10:30 :/ As you would imagine, emergency veterinary services aren't cheap. But they do give you an itemized breakdown with recommended procedures and medications for your review and approval. All in all, tho, the whole experience (minus the 5 hour wait) was good. The staff not only was friendly and helpful to us, but just as importantly, they were kind and caring to my dog. I hope I won't need emergency veterinary services for my pets again, but IF I ever do, I'd feel comfortable coming back here.

This place is great if your pet was in a real emergency. They have state of the art equipment, do everything out in the open and consult you before every move (but not give you results before upselling you for the next test) If you have something wrong with your animal and it does not seem too urgent I would wait to see your own vet. Just to walk in and be seen cost $200. Then they tacked on another $345 for tests that were negative. Nothing was wrong with the puppy we brought in. They came back in and wanted to do more random testing but after they showed their process I was no longer interested. They would ask for further testing before giving you results of the last test. Then after they start the new testing give you a negative result of your old test. We were in a private room. If you want peace of mind for your pet, have unlimited amounts of money and time then come in. As for me, I' will chalk this up as a lesson learned. The place looked nice and shiny so you will be paying for aesthetics too. Hope your animal feels better.

unfortunately we had to let go of our loving 10 year old Pomeranian today , it wasn't an easy decision but she had both kidneys failing and had to be tube fed for over a week and it was her time to go. The staff here was extremely friendly and empathic and helped us with this journey . They let us sit in a private room and spend time with her and the process was very quick . The doctor was extremely friendly and informative , as-well as the staff answering and guiding us through the whole thing . One of the staff gave us little containers with our dog's hair to keep , it was very thoughtful and it meant a lot to us . It's been an extremely hard week and i'm just glad we found this place and found some comfort letting her go in a place that cares for their animals and cares for their clients feelings as well . this will forever be a sensitive topic for me but i'm glad the experience was a easy one and i felt a lot of support by the team. Rest easy my baby lucy

This place was so kind. We had a dental situation for our little guy. We brought him around 10:30pm. They let us know that they didn't feel comfortable extracting the tooth that was really bothering him, causing him to gauge his face and eyes with his paws. So she offered us other help by giving him some pain medication and medication for the infection that was taking over his mouth. They were all very patient and sweet. Good seeing Briana! She was so sweet to our dog and added some humor to our stressful night. Thank you to everyone working there that night!

We are incredibly grateful for the care and compassion the entire team showed us to help us during an emergency with our hamster! We noticed our hamster severely struggling to breathe, eat, and drink after having a reaction to Ivermectin that had been prescribed by another vet clinic. We rushed him to VEG, and the team immediately stepped in to help stabilize him and figure out what was going on. After receiving oxygen treatment and a care plan for an Upper Respiratory Infection, they sent us home with medication and supplemental food to help syringe-feed him. Even though he was just a hamster, he was me and my fiancé's first pet, and the staff truly treated him with kindness and respect. Dr. Stephanie was especially amazing (she told us she owned hamsters in the past) and she took the time to show us how to safely pick him up and feed him so we felt comfortable caring for him at home. She also answered all of our questions thoroughly and was transparent about the high risk of complications given his elderly age (2.5 years old). Over the next few days, we did see improvement. He started eating and drinking again, was breathing better, and even climbing around. He responded really well to the medication and supplemental food. Unfortunately, he relapsed a few days later and passed away in our arms at home, which we were told was a high possibility given how elderly he was. Nonetheless, we were so happy to have those last few 'healthy' days with him spending time with him. To us, that extra time with him was priceless, and that was all thanks to the quick care and professionalism by the VEG team. We took him back to VEG where Brittany helped guide us through the aftercare options with so much compassion. We live in an apartment so we honestly didn't know what options we had. We were given a quiet room to grieve and take our time deciding what felt right for us. We chose a private cremation and were really appreciative of how smooth and thoughtful the process was. About a week later, we received his ashes and paw prints. This was our first pet together so and we are so thankful for the warmth, empathy, and care VEG showed us and our tiny little guy every step of the way. We truly felt supported during one of the hardest experiences, and we couldn't recommend them enough.

The team was amazing throughout the entire process. They went above and beyond our expectations. We brought in Charizard our crested gecko who had a hemipenis prolapse. Most people would think it's just a lizard but their compassion and process was one of a kind and something my partner and I have never experienced before. Allowing us to be with him the entire time, having an open layout that allows for all pet parents to be there through out every moment and even offering us a bed to stay and get some rest while our little guy recovered. My partner and I were considering euthanizing due to the cost of the procedure. (In our experience with other vets if we could not afford the procedure we were forced to either surrender or euthanize). We were just heart broken with this through. But the team comforted us through every decision and truly helped us financially to save our little guy by dramatically reducing the cost and relieving that burden. A huge shout out to Dayna who answered my call and comforted us throughout the entire process. To Jess and Dr.Rivera who took amazing care of Charizard. They both were so compassionate and helped us out with our decisions. Giving us options and how to best support him and truly went beyond by helping us by reducing the financial burden. This team is truly amazing during this difficult time. We will forever be grateful and will definitely be coming back for any emergency, and telling our friends and families about VEG ER for Pets! Thank you guys again for everything!

This was my very first visit to Anaheim VEG ER. I ended up here out of sheer desperation since no other 24/7 emergency vet could see my very sick cockatiel. Little did I know that I would end up having an extremely sad but the most incredible experience. Let me start off by stating that this location is very close to the freeway in a very well lit outdoor corner mall with plenty of parking. The frontage of the this 24/7 animal emergency care is in a great safe location, very secure and has a safety process in place. As soon as you walk in you get the open concept vibe which is definitely not your typical doctor's office floor-plan. There are however, a couple private rooms for a variety of scenarios such as safety, privacy and/or isolation just to name a few. This 24/7 vet sees EVERY kind of animal that can fit through there front door! Fur, feather and reptile just to name a few. I have to give the founders absolute props for pioneering this new comforting and successful concept! All the staff I came in contact with was genuinely phenomenal: Dr Yang Bri Willie Claudia Carolina Celia Moses I can honestly say that each and every one of them were genuinely compassionate and caring. Always checking on me to make sure we were OK and offering food, drinks, or any other items of comfort. I seriously can go on and on about my positive experience despite the outcome. I am truly grateful to this team for helping an emotional experience comforting. Seriously..... thank you all SO SO much

My two-year-old cat a ginger princess seemed to be losing weight and acting ill, so I brought her in to be evaluated. They did x-rays and bloodwork, and after the x-rays I was told they thought they saw a mass and that it looked like cancer. I was told she would likely die soon. I was absolutely devastated. I left late at night crying with my son, truly believing we were about to lose her. I was even close to making the decision to put her down because I couldn't emotionally or financially handle what I was being told at that moment. They did suggest I go to Pasadena for an ultrasound and biopsy to confirm, so I woke up at 4 AM and drove her there. The testing took all day and was incredibly stressful. In the end, I was told there was no cancer. It turned out to be her organ positioning stacked on one another on the x-ray and some fluid that was biopsied but came back negative. A year later, my cat is now three years old and completely healthy. In total, I spent around $4,000 going through this process, along with a tremendous amount of emotional distress that I will never forget. I understand imaging can sometimes be difficult to interpret, but I wish the initial findings had been communicated that the xray cannot be clear showing what is there because the vet told me he was certain it was a mass and she would not live much longer. I guess she had a stomach ache. She was hydrated and given an appetite stimulant and-is well. I would be more than happy to give more stars because the staff did seem caring and compassionate, but this experience was extremely traumatic and financially draining for my family as a single mom. Within a few days of her coming home my son's stress was so high he had a collapsed lung at the age of 25. It was a rough time for us.

But the amount of time and care she gave Bailey did not go unnoticed. She answered all questions and concerns I had while explaining both the pros and cons for surgery. Other vets had me worried about kneecap displacement on small dogs and how surgery is basically a must do. She explained why it might not be needed and what grade she would give Bailey on it (had some tell me he's a Grade 4 while she took the x-rays and felt him, watched him walk etc and he isn't a 4). I asked her questions about how many surgeries like this she's done and she told me how long, the changes, etc. She's been doing this a long time and I feel 1000000000% safe with her doing any surgery for Bailey. I know price is a big factor, especially in the comments. Another big factor is, while I'm not sure if she did this because she saw how I was with Bailey or anything, but the price was very affordable compared to the 5-6 quotes I got over the phone from other places. And Care Club helped as well as it looks like it gives you a free x ray for the year. Again, Dr Fahie is the surgeon you want to see for your pets with her knowledge and she truly cares. I can't thank her enough.

We have three dogs, all with different needs and different insurance, and I can only imagine how difficult it can be at times to keep everything organized. One of our dogs is a military service dog, another is a retired service dog, and our third is a pug with quite a few medical issues. Yorba Regional has been extremely patient, accommodating, and kind with all three of them. The veterinarians are knowledgeable and available when we need them, and Dr. Hong and the staff have been wonderful with our dogs. Most importantly, our dogs genuinely love them and are comfortable there. I also really appreciate that, in our experience, they don't try to push unnecessary exams, vaccinations, or treatments. They discuss what our dogs actually need and have always been respectful of our decisions regarding their care. Of course, this is our personal experience, and everyone may have a different experience. But we have been bringing our dogs to Yorba Regional for over 14 years, and after all that time, I think it's important to give credit where credit is due. We are extremely happy with the care our dogs receive at Yorba Regional Animal Hospital and very grateful to Dr. Hong and the entire staff for the kindness and care they continue to show our family.

These people really do care and give all they have to provide the best care possible for the animals. They were very compassionate about breaking the bad news to us. They were very understanding of our emotions and allowed us plenty of time to spend with our girl and say our goodbyes. As well as allowed us to be by her side all the way to the end. Marina was very special to us and our brave girl gave everything she had to us all the way till her last breath. Although it was not the conclusion that we had wanted, the people at Anaheim Hills Pet Clinic really made it as smooth and as comfortable as possible for our sweet baby. And we are eternally grateful for that! Thank you for giving your best for our girl. For trying your best to save her. For making her as comfortable as possible. And for letting her feel so loved and allowing us to be with her and love her until the end. Best regards, Mike and Alyssa Miller

Update..the doctor I loved Dr. Falco has moved to corona. This is no longer an 24/7 emergency…read moreclinic. Even with Covid and waiting in the parking lot, they took extensive notes and Dr. Falco was VERY GOOD! I was actually impressed with the concern and wanting to know details about my baby bearded dragon Mortimer. I called all of the reptile vets in my area and they were all booked up for months or weeks and he needs immediate attention they were able to give me an appointment for the next day. The reptile vet Dr. Falco was very knowledgeable And gave Mortimer 2 shots and gave me food to take home with instructions. He might not make it but we'll see what the lab tests say. Overall EXTREMELY happy with attention to detail, open late, (it's 6pm) and able to see my pet with 24 hours of me calling. Considering taking my dog here from now on instead of his usual doctor. Thank you for sve 4 year update. My baby dragon was on his death bed needing to be euthanized. Years later he's a big fat lizard who started eating by himself the next day after seeing the doctor.

I wanted to take the time to leave a glowing review for Dr. Berschauer and his staff…read more We came into Healing Hearts around 8pm on 8/8 to unexpectedly say goodbye to our family dog, who had been with us for 13 years. I was devastated at the possibility that this was going to be the outcome, and Dr. Berschauer and his staff made the pain of losing a pet and all of the emotions that came with it feel just a tiny bit more bearable. Their bedside manner, the way they treated us, and especially the way they treated our dog meant so much to us. Moments like these are incredibly hard, and I'm just so thankful that this was the place we chose to go, even though there were other facilities much closer to us. We never felt rushed & Dr. Berschauer took the time to make sure we understood why he believed it was the right decision given our dog's physical state and the pain he was in. His kind words and the way the entire staff cared for us made it feel like such a peaceful transition for our dog. We left obviously heartbroken and incredibly emotional, but also at peace knowing that he was surrounded by us and was able to take his last breath peacefully. It never felt clinical or like we were just in a room waiting for something awful to happen. They gave us the time and space to say goodbye. Thank you so much to Dr. Berschauer and your entire staff. It meant more to us than you probably realize to have that time with him and to be there when he took his last breath. We will always be grateful for the kindness you showed our family during one of the hardest moments we've ever had.

My pet cat had an onset of severe allergies. His standard vet without really hearing our concerns…read moresaid probably fleas because of the area we're in. Before bringing in the pet I looked up what could be causing the symptoms - I've had dogs before with flea outbreak so I know what flea eggs look like. I decided to try out dr woods to see if he he'd have other alternatives routes we could take and the risks; he listened and reasoned through some of the literature I found (I thought it could be allergies to a kibble we switched the cat to). He also explained that even though you don't visibly see flea eggs- pets could be allergic to a flea bite (which doesn't manifest into a flea outbreak). Their time estimation for lab results and medicine was truly quick. We were very impressed. The parking lot is big but the street is very busy during peak times.

Made an appointment earlier this week and they were able to get me in to see Dr. Woods…read more I needed a checkup on my dog so it was nice they were able to get us in. I had called earlier to ask questions before making an appointment and they were really good about calling my back right away. Intake was quick and easy. They had paperwork I missed filling up before the appointment but it is short and completed in no time. The reception folks were super nice and chill -I had tried to go to a big name hospital vet last month and did not appreciate the attitude the front desk people gave. After intake, they weighed my dog and got us a room. We also didn't have to wait long to see the Dr. He was really calm which I liked as my dog is fearful reactive. Also, he was good about not pushing treatments for my boy that I did not feel comfortable about. I appreciate that reception also emailed an itemized copy of my receipt at end of day. The other clinic I had to call a week later to remind them to send it Service was great, I liked the people. Inside the clinic was cute and welcoming. It did smell like pee in the waiting room but it probably just happened before our appointment. I asked for training resources and and they gave me a card of a local trainer. A good amount of parking in the shared lot. All in all pleased with visit and service. Thank you Dr. Woods and epic front desk team.

We arrived early, so early in fact that the Cardiology Department was not yet open…read more We waited in the car and since their parking lot was open and large it wasn't an issue. It was our first time within the ACCESS network so we did not know that the Cardiology Department was separate from Internal Medicine and the Emergency Department. We didn't know that there were so many varying departments. It didn't set in that this was a specialty clinic not a traditional veterinarian office (even though "specialty animal hospital" is literally in their name...haha). The Cardiology Department was on the second floor in a building shared with other companies. The office was clean and peaceful. The women at the front desk were kind and patient. They answered our questions and were helpful. We were seen quickly in the consultation room and I love that the nurse drew a cute little picture with cat ears and whiskers, and put our cat's name on the white dry erase board that was outside of the consultation room. She listened intently to our concerns as it had already been confirmed that the referring veterinarian had provided our cat's health records. We fully expected to wait a while for the doctor since we were about forty minutes early but about five minutes later Dr. Cole greeted us warmly with a team of onlookers (supporting doctors, maybe interns too not exactly sure). Dr. Cole was patient and explained the process for examining our cat's heart health. He answered our questions and took our fur baby for the testing. Around twenty minutes later he and his team returned with the results. He explained the prescription medicine that would be beneficial for our cat and gave further medical advice for our cat. I really appreciated the transparency and clarity around the results. I felt relieved to have such a warm, competent and friendly doctor handling the care for our fur baby. It wasn't cheap but it was worth it. Grateful to Dr. Steven Cole and ACCESS Pasadena!

I'm torn writing this review because my dog's first visit when he needed an MRI went fairly well…read moreand the staff was nice. Granted the bill racked up to a pretty penny but that's expected at any vet hospital and isn't the issue. My issue comes from my call today to inquire about flea medication. My dog was diagnosed with seizures and placed on phenobarbital meds ever since the first visit. He used to be on Next Guard but after starting phenobarbital he can no longer take it. He also had severe reaction to topical flea medication like frontline/advantix. I called today to ask his neurologist what they recommend as flea preventative for dogs who get seizures and are taking phenobarbital. The employee I spoke to on the phone went to ask and came back telling me the doctor we had seen before is no longer working there so they can not advise me. I asked why their current neurologist couldn't advise me then based off his records as nothing has changed and I'm just inquiring about general flea preventative that they recommend is safe for dogs with his condition . She told me I would need to bring him in to be seen by the current neurologist first before they could recommend me anything. It just seems like a complete money grab to make patients come in and pay another visit fee just to get some basic information. The facility was already paid when my dog was first a patient there, the information shouldn't follow his doctor. They still have his information on file if needed. They clearly care more about squeezing as much money as possible from pet owners than caring and advising someone to help their pet that was already a patient in their system. It's giving "pay money in order to get the answer to your question" vibes. "Profit before people" (in this case, pets)
