It did…read morenot go well: Lakeshore defaulted on the deal in the midst of the purchase transaction, after keeping my wife and me waiting for 3 hours without explanation or apology. This despite having a signed Purchase Agreement and deposit with them. Background: We're easy customers, well-qualified, and the super low-hassle type. We did our homework, and found the exact model we wanted in stock at Lakeshore (Keystone Carbon 358), contacted the dealer, agreed on a price and trade-in, and got approved for financing via the dealer. We had planned to trade in our beloved 2008 Keystone Laredo - the trade-in number was not great, but good enough to make the deal worthwhile to have the new unit for the 2nd half of the 2021 camping season, and it would save us the bother of having to do a private sale. Lakeshore was also not able to help us with our hitch - we needed a new adapter plate for our wonderful Pullrite Superglide. Reason: "We don't do anything with hitches." Strange for a volume RV seller. After a long search in finding the right hitch plate (since I also am not a hitch specialist or RV dealer), we were ready to sign and do the deal. We cleaned out our Laredo 5th wheel, brought it to Lakeshore at the time of our appointment, and met our salesman. He "had to take care of few things" and asked us to pull our trailer around to the service department. After three hours in the waiting room, he asked me to step outside to speak privately (why not in his office?). - "They don't want to take your trailer in trade." Me: "What? Why? Are you saying I mis-represented it?" - "No, not at all. My guys just don't want it. We can still sell you the new one at full price (without your trade). I'm very sorry." What "guys?" The salesman was literally the only person who ever spoke to us. No one was around to give us an explanation, and there was no effort to re-negotiate the trade (which I probably would have agreed to). This unexpected ending happened after we were largely ignored for three hours. We sat in the waiting room, looking all very happy-new-customer-like, but no one came over to us to greet us, offer us coffee, or explain the wait, other than the occasional run-by by our salesguy telling us "I'm working on it...". For us, Lakeshore RV was a strange, almost empty and very odd-feeling place. We walked in and out of our new coach several times, and no one took any time to say hi or even make eye contact with the smiling couple clearly anticipating their fun new purchase. Dealing with Lakeshore RV was not a good experience for us. So we had a 300-mile drive (towing our current RV), an entire day wasted, and 3 hours sitting in their waiting room (without being told why we had to wait) when were literally the only customers in the place. My guess is they never wanted our unit, and hoped that "new buyer fever" would overcome us and we would do the deal for the full price. We've not heard from the dealer since then, so the bad taste from our poor experience from Lakeshore RV remains. The attached photo is right from their website. It's a lie.

One of the metal brackets, under the slide, lost ALL six screws and was hanging down about 3-4 inches. Of course.... It's the weekend. This is an important part of the Coach slide and.... This is not good. On Monday, I called Newmar to find an Authorized Dealer. They suggested I call Midway RV in Grand Rapids... only an hour away and it's in the direction we were traveling anyway. Yeaaaa !! The Service staff were very friendly, and helpful. Scheduling with Dave, the Service Mgr, was pleasant. He said... I can't get you in at all today.. (Monday), but probably Tuesday morning, if you can be here by 8:30 AM. I said "Certainly". I then asked if they had room for us to "park & plug-in". Dave said "yes!". Perfect, we will see you about noon today !! We drove up Monday, parked & plugged in, very thankfully. Early Tuesday morning , they had us in and work was completed by 12:00 noon. They inspected both plates and fixed them !! And, we were back on the road feeling sooooooo pleased. Though we were not there to buy an RV.... I would certainly recommend them for RV Service.

We contacted them early in January of 2026 to inquire about the Renegade Verona LE 38 LDG that they had for sale. We made contact with Jeremy Smit and were very impressed from our first conversation. Because we were 600 miles away from the dealership we went ahead and made plans to have a certified RV inspector to inspect the RV for us. The dealership made it very easy for the inspector to come and do his inspection. We had many conversations with Jeremy about the motor home and he was always knowledgeable and able to answer all of our questions. There were a few things that we wanted fixed on the motor home and we felt that Holland Motor Homes went above our expectations. We finally made the trip to Michigan to pick up our motor home the end of March. They made the whole process very enjoyable and stress free. We were very impressed with several items they included that we were not expecting. An entire set of bedding which included pillows, sheets and a beautiful bed spread. The day we were there to pick up our motor home we were given a thorough tutorial on all operations by Steve who answered all our questions. We would highly recommend Holland Motor Home. He is very low pressure and very knowledgeable regarding the Leisure Travel Van brand. He was great at answering all our newbie questions. We finally pulled the trigger on our new 2025 UMBL in May of this year. We had the dealership do several upgrades and they quickly fixed an issue with the air conditioner we had after our first trip. Jackie in the service department is very helpful and patient and Kyle, our service tech lead, was patient and knowledgeable as well during our 4 1/2 hours of training. We are extremely happy with our LTV UMBL and so lucky and grateful we have Holland Motor homes just 25 minutes from us. If you are in the market for a new RV, call Jeremy Smit and if you need service, I would definitely recommend Holland Motor Homes for service.

Snow storm and mistake on delivery time still great experience…read moreDecember 29, 2025 scheduled date I was given, however Patrick had December 30 on his paper work and was surprised to see me there with my trade I just picked up from storage in Hudsonville, Mi. Problem was I had to have my deliver the 29th and I had to have it near 1:00 PM to give me time to get the new RV to my Hudsonville indoor heated storage location before they closed. Maybe the worst weather this winter tried its best to make things hard, but it failed. Patrick Brown (my salesman) did everything needed to make it happen even thought the finance lady was not there and he had to get a substitute money person to make the deal happen and he had to get the prep people to push the new coach delivery up a whole day. Patrick made everything happen and I made it to storage with 10 minutes to spare. I am not sure how the date got messed, but Terrytown and Patrick fixed everything. AS I said this is my 4 purchase from Terrytown which includes three Super C's and one B, this one was a new Super C and I traded a 2025 Sunseeker 2400B Sprinter (purchased from a different dealer) that proved to be great but just too small in the bedroom and in the storage department. All my purchases from Terrytown were for new coaches and all the purchases have been good experiences. I am 81 and have owned more than 30 new coaches. I buy and trade a lot, if I live long enough I will be back to see Patrick and Terrytown again. jond

About 10 weeks later, the roof lining was finally replaced. We called to check on the trailer many times, and there were always "reasons" why it was not finished in a timely manner. Often items needed to be ordered. We picked up the trailer and from what we could see with the naked eye, the roof looked ok. We are not experts. Fast forward to February 2026. We traveled to Galveston, Texas. Just traveling down the highway at 65mph, the membrane ripped away. We contacted Terrytown and told them about the issue and stated: We "do believe that Terrytown should stand behind their work. Given that the new roof was put on by Terrytown only 6 months ago, the conclusion is an improper install." Terrytown refused reimbursement. They would not stand behind their work.
