In a world where every city seems to have a style of pizza, we decided to see what Detroit's was all about. Via 313 is a Detroit style pizza place located in Austin (not sure how that happened). We went to the location on West 6th Street after a tiring day of kayaking on Lady Bird Lake searching for some sweet, doughy bliss and here's what happened... We sat at the outdoor area, which was great as we had a dog that wanted to enjoy some time with us. At this location we placed our order through the window and this is where the first of two issues occurred. One of us asked the guy at the window a very simple question, "Is your sausage spicy?" And he responded "Uhh I don't know, I guess?"... nice to know we're solving quantum physics at this location. After ordering 4 slices that cost $15 (sheesh), we were informed that we would receive a text when our order was ready. After waiting 25 minutes for our 4 slices we had still not received any text. When we went up to the window to find out what happened to our pizzas they had them ready to go sitting on the top of the stove. It was pretty clear that the pizza's had just been sitting there for a few minutes with no text update and we had to go up to get make sure we got our food. The food itself was pretty good, the pizza light and crunchy with a delicious sauce over it. One of the staff also brought our dog a water bowl with some ice and was very friendly with us as well. Unfortunately that one staffer and good pizza couldn't make up for the laziness of the kitchen staff and convoluted text system they use to notify patrons. This is definitely an operation that could use some better logistics and things would be a bit brighter, until then I think our rating sums up what you get from this Via 313 from a food, service, and value standpoint.

Service was great. The restaurant was very nice , lots of seats with a lot of TV playing the latest sport broadcast The Hawaiian pizza was good but I really prefer thin crust The bobo pizza was the best slice, lots of flavor with a combination of both sweet and savory The Detroit was good , classic slices cannot go wrong. Highly recommend for those who prefer a traditional slice of pizza.

I am blowing' away by this pizza!! This is a must try. Such great flavor!! Hot off the press!!

    Pizza, downtown view

Best pizza I've had in a minute hands down. Ariel was awesome and super helpful. The lighting and view of the downtown high rises created a super relaxing and warm vibe

Pizza when we finally got it was delicious. But it's not worth the wait and the poor service. The drinks at Star Bar are ridiculously expensive. Would not recommend this spot.

These guys are repping the 313 with authority! I arrived a few minutes after they closed but they had one Detroit style left which was the perfect way to end the night. Perfectly cooked and topped with love! The crust was the perfect level of crispy and the sauce was amazing. You can't wrong with the 313. The bar they are attached to is fantastic as well so you'll have a great place to enjoy a beverage with your tasty squares!! They have sports on as well so it's a great place to watch the game as well.

Came in on a quiet Friday afternoon, the place was pretty empty except for one table. We ordered via the app and sat outside. It did take a while but boy, was it worth it. We ordered the pizza with prosciutto, Gorgonzola, and fig jam. Absolutely remarkable amalgamation of flavors and textures- sweet, creamy and a touch slight of saltiness. The crust? Chef's kiss. I'm still thinking about it and longing for another slice. The other pizza we ordered was the meat lovers (idr the exact name). Also delectable with salty, meaty bite, and a slight kick. Lots of seating indoors with its own bar and connected to another bar? Service wasn't memorable but the pizza sure was. Would come back for that alone!

Service was great but the pizza was mid at best. Nothing like the Detroit style pizza that I grew up with...Buddies or Cottage Inn.

While we're glad you joined us, I'm sorry to hear your breakfast experience didn't meet expectations. We'll be reviewing your comments with our culinary team to improve consistency. We appreciate you giving us a try and hope to provide a better experience in the future. Warm regards, Wes Brown It's great to receive a response from the business manager regarding our experience at their restaurant, but all four us thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. We had absolutely no complaints regarding our dining experience. Caroline is affiliated with the Marriott Element and Aloft hotels and that, I believe, where the affiliation ends. I try to avoid hotel eateries but I've had great dining experiences at hotels like the JW Marriott in Austin. We, four, stopped by on a Sunday AM for breakfast and we had a great time. They do have brunch cocktails available and their bloody Mary's were deemed excellent with just the right amount of spice. My bloody Maria was on point and we all got our Sunday Funday started. Breakfast was wonderful. Our eggs arrived cooked perfectly. The pepper bacon and real potato sides were off the charts delicious. They also offer a few TexMex breakfast options and Plus one was raving about her Huevos Rancheros plate. Service was excellent even though they became busy our server was very attentive. Pro tip: Sat and Sun AMs if you arrive early you can easily score a table.

They offer a full bar and also a coffee place with pastries and other baked goods. They seem to be connected to a hotel. The restrooms were up a few flights of stairs or you can use the elevator to the 2nd floor. I didn't know that. The upstairs portion could be rented out for special occasions or events. Our server was super friendly and helpful. She recommended a couple of her favorite smoothies. I ordered the Sweet Corn Cake Benedict: poached eggs, jalapeño cheddar corn cakes, avocado, tomato & corn salsa (4/5). I liked and enjoyed my breakfast, which was fresh and light. Berry Basil Smoothie: blueberry, strawberry, basil, banana, agave, pomegranate, coconut water, lime juice (4/5). This was very delicious. My coworkers order the Everything Sandwich: everything cream cheese, peppered bacon, baby kale, roasted roma tomatoes (4/5). Flavorful, with a light freshness of all the ingredients. My other coworker ordered a side of Breakfast Potatoes & a Detox Juice: acai, pomegranate, coconut water, lime. Both really liked the breakfast potatoes, which had a crisp exterior crunch yet soft and creamy inside. Come check them out. Support your local business.

Everything, and I mean EVERYTHING we ordered was fresh, delicious, light, yet filling. I got the Social Butterfly drink which had butterfly pea powder in it to make it purple. It was as delicious as it was pretty. All the cocktails sounded amazing, I can't wait to go back and try them all. For starters we got the Guacamole, Brussel Sprouts and Crispy Macha Potatoes. Each of these were executed to perfection. The guacamole was fresh, topped with pomegranate seeds and well seasoned. The chips that came with it were light, crispy and it was gone in a flash! The Brussel Sprouts were cooked perfectly...tender and flavorful...not greasy...literally the best I've ever had. The Crispy Macha potatoes were next level!!! I have no idea how they make them, but they were SOOOOOO GOOD!!! I got the Waygu Sirloin as my main course and my friends got the Coconut Curry Squash. I enjoyed my steak and my friends liked their dish as well. We also shared the Roasted Beet Salad, which was fresh and tasty. Overall, can't wait to go back! 10 out of 10!!!

It was painfully boring. We had our 6-year-old, who is head of the Picky Eaters Society, so we ordered bread with butter. This 6-year-old, who eats bread on the daily, took one bite and wouldn't eat any more. We even get gluten-free bread regularly, and he eats it. The bread was fine, but don't expect flavor. By some miracle, they even made butter tasteless. I considered calling the Vatican to see if this was some holy, divine miracle, but my wife suggested maybe the main course would be better. We settled on the pesto pasta with chicken added for an additional fee. The pasta was good. Great texture, good flavor, and the combination of ingredients was good, but it's nothing original. It's pesto pasta. It's a classic. I appreciate the pomegranate seeds on the guacamole because it's original, it's clever, and it's different. We also ordered a special soda drink for our son, and it had a small black bug on top. I had them take it back and replace it. I kind of expected a "Listen, we apologize for the bug. Here's half off dinner," or something, but nothing. Service was fine, and it's a decent atmosphere. If you're looking for a place to sit and talk it's a great place, but if you want food or a drink go somewhere else.
