Visited the Pizza Press on Sunday and really enjoyed my experience! The employees were incredibly kind and helpful, especially the lady working at the register. She let me try the cider they had available, recommended toppings and just had a warm smile and energy! The pizza was great and surprisingly light given all that I had on it and I really enjoyed it. Also wasn't very loud or overcrowded even giving the amount of people there. I really hope they have more ciders available in the future! I think it's a great pairing with pizza. We stopped by the Pizza Press to have the Valentines day special since it was one of the few pizza parlors in town offering heart shaped pizzas :) The Valentines special included two heart shaped pizzas of choice, warm cookie with vanilla ice cream and two drinks. We had The Times (chicken) and The Chronicle (veggie). The ingredients were fresh, dough was thin and crispy with the perfect sauces drizzled on top. The line moved slightly slowly as it was lunch time and it looked like the constant flurry of customers were all UT students. The staff seemed slightly overwhelmed with the long lines but were trying to be nice nonetheless. It took a while for our order to be prepared. The food was great but the restaurant looked quite dated, especially with rusty vents on the ceiling, right above the prep station of the pizza. The good: I love the ambiance this place has! Being around the communication building, they have a lot of journalism related memorabilia and food named after newspapers, which I think is cool. The root beer on tap is always worth to have. The bad: since they bake your pizzas in front of you, it can take a while to get the food, which also means that there's a pretty long line during lunch or dinner. Also, sometimes the pizza is good, but sometimes, like this time around, a bit salty. read more

I went to pizza press last night with my friend and got a build your own. I got a pizza with pepperoni,pineapple, mushrooms, olives, and mushrooms and it was pretty good and flavorful. I know that my pizza sounds disgusting but don't hate on it unless you try it. The service was also tuff as I saw my boy there and he was an absolute chiller. This place has been one of my favorite pizza spots in West Campus. The pizza is customizable to your liking or you can choose from preset options as well. I chose to do the PYO (personalize your own) pizza. There are a lot of topping choices to choose from to really make it your own. The pizza does come in a more thin crust style so it's perfect if that's your preferred style. The place is open and has various booths for you sit at and televisions to watch from. There are also rocking chairs outside and parking, which is nice if you prefer sitting outside to enjoy your food. The service is fairly good. The pizza artists were very patient with my friend as it was his first time eating here and he was browsing through all the possible toppings he could choose from. read more

LOVE Pizza Press. It's been a go-to spot for me over the years. I always build my own pizza. They have such a good variety of toppings to pick from. My friends always judge me for putting artichokes and sun dried tomatoes on my pizza. But I swear it's a game changer. I've started adding banana peppers too recently. It's really close to UT campus which makes it very convenient. The staff is so welcoming. If theres a line it moves fast. There's usually plenty of seating if you want to stay and hang out with friends. Also, a little side note. I love that they serve your pizza in a personal pizza box. I will start off by giving them credit the pizza was good and most of the staff was great. With that being said: 1. The new cinnamon desert is literally sugar and cinnamon on pizza dough for $10 2. My friend and I were stuck on the toilet the night following our dinner here 3. My family got $100+ worth of food and drink but I didn't get a drink cup I just got a water cup. All the cups are clear just slightly different heights. One of the workers went out of his way and came to our table to tell me I'm not allowed to put a drink inside a water cup. The same exact drink was next to it in the cup we paid for. He took it and brought me back water . I get rules are rules but does anyone get paid enough to be acting like that? Really good, really close to campus! Pizza is made fresh right in front of you and fully customizable. Lots of options of sauce and toppings, you can really make it your own. The classic pepperoni (the daily) was super good on its own though. Great location as it's walkable from campus, but parking is extremely limited. Only three spots and one is handicapped, but there are lots of paid lots around if you're willing to walk. The space is really clean and decorated nicely. Would visit again great iob read more

I came here with a group of vegans, it was about 10 of us. The food was delicious and we were happy that you offered vegan cheese. However, we think charging extra $2 for vegan cheese is unfair. Vegan cheese is better for the environment and animal welfare, and much healthier than dairy cheese with lactose and cholesterol and bovine growth factors. If anything, people should be encouraged to have vegan cheese instead of dairy alternative. I understand that vegan cheese may be a little pricier if you are using low quality dairy cheese. But you have to consider that without vegan cheese you will lose your vegan costumers altogether. So please remove the extra charge for your vegan cheese option and we will make sure to visit again and support your business.
