This was a strange evening for sure. The outgoing, overly friendly owner greeted us after we sat. He told us that "whatever we want on the menu, just ask and they will do it for us..." We ordered a salad for 3 of us to split before the dinner, when we ordered our drinks. When we ordered our main courses one of them came WITH a salad, so I asked if they could bring any kind of vegetable instead, since we ordered a salad already as an appetizer. The waitress had to speak to the owner who was busily chatting with a group of diners for quite some time. She returned , and told us that the answer is no, the salad can't be replaced with anything else. O.K. The meals came, which were delicious, excellent flavor in everything. The salad never arrived. When the check came we asked for the salad "to go' , since it was forgotten about. The owner reappeared ( with the excellent waitress ) and told us since we were so well behaved and quiet he asked the waitress to bring us free chocolate croissants and coffee. The pastries were mediocre and the coffees were cold and both tasted stale...we couldnt drink them . *a little wary of the owner and how he treats his staff..seems to be a showman to the public but possibly not kind to his workers..... read more

On Wednesday Via Garibaldi dropped a bunch of Pizza's for us at the Westchester County Dept. Of Emergency Services for free. Well the Pizza was the best we around here have had in a long, long time. Really enjoyed the service here recently with a large party. The space is gorgeous. We were in a private room. Either it was the owner or head chef but he took care of us even with a last minute change about our menu choices. The staff was polite. They gave you plenty of time to stretch and enjoy your meal. Solid family style Italian foods. You'll find something to enjoy. Good wine selection. Valet parking. I would definitely recommend this spot to anyone in the neighborhood. read more

We did takeout from here and it was fantastic. Their pasta was top notch. Big bar section when you walk in and there are outdoor dining tables out front. Valet service out front as well. I actually didn't get to see the dining room but the meal was great and I'd absolutely return. We got their signature pasta which was great, and also the pappardelle, which also was great. read more

I went to this place for a date night with my wife. Very nice place . The bar had a nice crowd and the bartender made a mean dirty martini. When we were seated in the dining room we were greeted by the owner who was very hospitable. He helped us decide on what to order. Everything he recommended was on the money. After dinner he sent out a complimentary dessert and coffee. I thought it was a real classy move. The check was very reasonable. I will definitely go back when in the white plains area. read more

From the reviews I'd read, I was looking forward to this being excellent. I went there with a friend and my father for lunch, and while it was okay, it wasn't extraordinary by any means. I had the chicken francese, while my father and friend had the chicken parmigiana, all from the lunch specials. The chicken francese came out lukewarm and had to be sent back to be heated up. Instead of pasta as a side, all the entrees were accompanied by what I can only describe as an Italian version of a potato knish. It was somewhat bland, but at least it was hot and fairly tasty. We all agreed the food as decent, but that it wasn't as good as other Italian restaurants we've been to regularly. read more

The food here is spectacular. I know of several other restaurants that have failed at this location and wondered whether they could make it. This is my fifth time eating there and each time has been superb. The octopus salad is to die for. I love mussels, but not just anyone's mussels. These are heavenly. The Chicken Arrabiata melts in your mouth. For something a little different, last night I had the Lamb Chops Broccoli Rabe, which was delicious. After golf, I have even picked up a pizza pie to go. We had dinner at Via Garibaldi on Saturday night and were extremely impressed with the food quality and service The owner, Ariano makes you feel at home and is very attentive to ensure all the patrons' requests are met. This restaurant has the best personalized service we have experienced in White Plains. The food is fresh and portions are appropriate. The prices are reasonable and although the restaurant was full, we were seated immediately without reservations We very much enjoyed our evening and look forward to retuning. I never write reviews but I would not want anyone else to have a similar experience.. i picked Via Garibaldi for 6 of us to meet because of it central location. I should of known that something was up when there was a lot of available times after checking other restaurants that had no time slots. The entire experience felt like we were on candid camera . We had no less then 5 waiters at various times. No one knew iwhos table it was or if anyone taken our order. First we had to wait for an extended time for someone to even take a drink orde then different staff would come over to us and ask if any one took our oder. When we finally ordered the first appetizer was terriable and sent back. We then had to wait for ever to get our food. I can go on and on but besides terrible service, mediocre food the most upsetting thing was the man in charge not sure if owner or manager had no mask on all night while going to tables talking to customers. if you are thinking of trying this restaurant beware! read more

Found this one night on yelp with Hubby while looking for something good and Italian. The staff was soooo nice! Everyone we met was amazing and we came in an hour before closing. Food tasted fresh and homemade. Hubby loved his steak, I loved my chicken parmigiana. We ordered the bake clams and fried calamari as appetizers. We left super stuffed! And took home food to go. We requested to sit outside and they allowed us which was great because the night was calm and made for a beautiful, romantic night. We visited this place for the first time this evening for a birthday party. We booked the private room and we were just under 20 people. I must say that the entire experience was top-notch from beginning to end. The wait staff along with the owner was very warm and welcoming and attentive to all of the needs of the guests throughout the entire evening. The set menu recommendation was a hit with everyone who attended and it was just enough food. The place was beautifully decorated and more than enough room for our event.
