Been here many time, every time I visit Staten Island, this has always and always will be my Go-to pizza spot. Service is always great. The inside of the establishment makes me feel at home with the wonderful scents coming from throughout the place. The Grandma Pie is a must try for new customers! 100% recommend for people visiting Staten Island!

Needed a snack while doing laundry. Got the chicken cutlet roll and a meet patty. The chicken roll wasn't too bad with the marinara sauce. The sauce was nice and creamy. The roll was packed with chicken that wasn't dry and it wasn't too doughy. The meat patty on the other hand wasn't that good. It was just salty meat in the puff pastry. I was going to try a slice of pizza but none of it looked appetizing.

Everything is flavoful and cooked perfectly There not cheap with the cheese. They top of the pizza with it and it really brightens it up. The pizza has such a nice garlic and basil smell when you open the lid and when you bite into the first slice it takes you back to when times were good. Nice old fashioned pizza made with care And all the pasta dishes are excellent. I can only eat penne vodka from via Ponte. read more

I wish I had taken pics lol. I ordered two large pies. One margarita, one of their special Grandma Sicilian and two orders of garlic knots. I kind of needed it late at night. (9 pm, and they close around that time). I had family coming over from out of state and I wanted the pies to be as warm as possible for them. Even though it was pushing it, they delivered my order nice and not at 9 pm. There's only two slices left. I've never been disappointed with this place, service wise or food wise. I just want to start out by saying I'm not cheap but the pizza on the site says 12 in change and I got charged 16 dollars with tax for a classic cheese pizza. When I brought it to the persons attention when picking it up she told me I don't know why it says that and then she brushed me off so I said you aren't going to honor the online price.She said absolutely not and said I don't know why it says that on the website then she said do you want the pizza or not . First time ordered food from this place and I will never come back . When I got the food I was so disappointed! I don't know how long they haven't change the food oil , the chicken finger looks like they cooked it for many times , the color was so dark , and it's not crispy my cousins love chicken finger but they just threw it away . I liked this spot. Stopped by this spot after work and being stuck in traffic for an hour, my stomach grew hungry and thirsty. Ordered a buffalo slice, which was pretty good, along with a Heineken to wash it down. It was on the money, and it didn't cost too much of my money. 3.50 for the buffalo slice and 3.00 for the Heineken. Thumbs up. read more

Ordered grandmas pie and it was phenomenal. They have the best pizza I have had in Staten Island in a VERY LONG TIME. My new favorite!! We were passing through town and just wanted something light to eat. We had pizza and tried the pin wheels. Both were very good. Seating was available, it was clean, but the restaurant was a bit uncomfortably warm. Staff was mostly friendly and helpful. Eating here was a good experience and I'd go back again. read more

Love this place. Moved from Brooklyn a few years ago, and this is the only pizzeria that reminded me of the old neighborhood. Everything I've tried here was great, my personal favorites being their grandma slice, Penne slice, Margherita slice and the all the rolls! Best Buffalo slice on Staten Island, no competition! I always make the stop here during the rush hour commute, a low-key spot you wouldn't look twice at while traveling down the road but I highly suggest you go in. Food arrived early- delivery man called me as he had already peeled off the block to inform me that my meal was in front of my door as per policy. I step outside to find my order on the floor. No bag. So gross. I couldn't even eat it after that. There are ways to keep safe without making others feel like animals. I'm an essential worker too- nurse in a hospital.. I just finished 6 straight days at the hospital- I would NEVER even THINK about placing a patients food tray on the floor right outside of their room. Shame on him. And shame on the restaurant for not informing us about this policy. read more

My husband loves their fantasy hero so much he says he wants a tattoo of it lol .. all jokes aside yummy sandwiches and calazones. The burger could be bigger. It was kind of kids size, but yummy nonetheless. We always order from here just wish they made pasta dishes like stuffed shells , manicotti baked ziti etc. Also would appreciate it if they were open later as I come home around 10 weeknights read more

I wouldn't have known it existed if I hadn't gone searching for new spots, and I'm so glad I did. The pizza here is excellent. I tried a couple of their speciality slices, and it made me want to come back to try more. It's one of those places where you take one bite and immediately start planning your next visit. The service was another pleasant surprise. Everyone was welcoming, the food came out quickly, and the overall experience was just as enjoyable as the pizza itself. Some places deserve more attention, and this is definitely one of them. I'll absolutely be back... again, again and again.

The upside down Sicilian was good, but I like other places better for Sicilian. If you like a crispy Sicilian you might love it. My husband loved the sausage and plain slice he had. I highly recommend Nonna's for thin and crispy pizza!

I told him, "brother's." he smiled, nodded, and said "they're good." He was right. It's a nice place, nothing fancy, they do have a nice dining area. The people are friendly. I decided to get a margherita slice, and I saw these little balls. I asked what they were, and he said "potato croquettes." they came in an order of three. I got my food and I took it back to my hotel. It was amazing. The slice, the dough was perfectly thin, not tough at all, it was a very good quality cheese, I could definitely taste the basil, and the sauce underneath was amazing. The croquettes, they were not over breaded or over fried, they were very tender. The potato inside was creamy and delicious, and they came with an amazing marinara for dipping. This wasn't just your normal tomato sauce. This marinara had a deep rich flavor that went perfect with the croquettes. The price was extremely reasonable for what I got. They are cash only, but they do have ATM at the entrance to the store. I'm a fan. Next time I'm in the neighborhood, I will be back. Thank you.

It was loaded with mozzarella but didn't have nearly enough tomato sauce to cut through the fat. The buffalo chicken pizza had a tough, mealy undercarriage, with dry chicken and not enough sauce. My order was delayed by about 10 minutes, taking over an hour to arrive even though I live nearby. It definitely wasn't worth the $74 I paid post-tip. Can't speak to the ambiance since it was a delivery.

I found Filoncino (thanks Yelp) in Staten Island right off the exit. I pulled in and saw Filoncino has plenty of available parking. Once inside, I see the restaurant is actually split with 1/2 sit down wait service and 1/2 take out with a few tables to eat your sandwich. The menu choices were pretty substantial, I was going for a hot chicken cutlet but the imported prosciutto sandwich was calling my name. This sandwich was a true banger: fresh mutz, peppers and prosciutto on freshly made Italian bread. Trust me, you're not getting this caliber of sandwich in Boca Raton! This a tried and true New York Italian sandwich. Filoncino, it was a pleasure to dine at your restaurant.

Service was prompt-- we were seated almost immediately once our whole group was gathered, and immediately began to be served. Meats came out fast. They have a 3 meat at a time limit here, but given that they're doing most of the cooking for you, it helps keep things fresh and things are coming off the grill pretty quickly anyways, so the limit does not really come at the cost of velocity of consumption (if you're that kind of AYCE eater). Service here is pretty proactive, coming by regularly and taking orders promptly. We got a mix of meats and sides throughout. Pork belly is a winner, both slabs and slices. Beef intestines were not as we remembered from other locations, but nonetheless good. Sliced beef brisket and jowl are also good cuts for folks looking for something new. Not too much of a fan of marinated meets, but I'm sure they'd live up to the same level of quality too. One huge plus about this particular chain (for which you do pay a bit of a premium in the price) is that they have pretty amazingly efficient grills and vents, such that you can largely avoid smelling like your AYCE KBBQ afterwards. Pretty uncommon, and totally forgivable when it happens, but a nice plus for this place!

Pretty good service but I really thought that that was a gross oversight on part of the restaurant like indoor smoking is illegal in the first place and vaping really isn't any better (arguably worse depending on what scientific data you're looking at), plenty people have respiratory issues and just preference period. No one should be forced to sit anywhere where a no vaping policy isn't being enforced in 2026. Really disappointed that I can't give this place a higher than a three star rating as a result because the food is pretty good and the servers were quick and pleasant, but the smoking issue to me is a gross oversight as far as basic customer service goes. People shouldn't be made to feel like they're being weird for wanting a different table because they don't want to be surrounded by anything but oxygen, Do better folks. Tried to call and speak with a manager BEFORE leaving this review, was left on hold for close to 10 mins however manager was extremely apologetic and pretty appalled he personally stated that vaping IS against their policy and that the staff should have absolutely been enforcing that. Welp, that's what complaints are for right? Food is decent and staff is respectful but I don't know if I'd go back given that experience if I have alternative choices in the area just trying to enjoy some lunch, drama and discomfort is not necessary indoor vaping is outlawed for a reason people violating that shouldn't get to just go about their day with zero consequences while everyone else is annoyed or having their lung / cardiovascular health put at risk involuntarily. My family and I are NOT related to the owners, or any employees of Via Ponte Pizzaria and we have NOT be asked to make this review, nor have we been paid to make our review! So, with that said, we have ordered numerous appetizers, salads, pies, dinners, sandwiches, wraps, soups, deserts and more from Via Ponte many times over the past 4 years or so, since we first "discovered" the place. Sometimes we get food delivered, sometimes we just run in and pick up on our way home from work or shopping with out any problems or issues, ever! Their always fast and friendly service can't be beat and the food is ALWAYS excellent! So today I took the wife there for a late lunch and once again the food was awesome! I had a couple slices of the "Grandma's" pie, the flavor was full, but not overpowering (I've had some from other joints who kill ya with too much fresh Basil on their "Grandma" Pies, but I can assure you that Via Ponte really does do theirs just right!) and it was also cooked just long enough to give it that little bit of crispy crust that I really love! I also had a "Stewart's" Orange & Creme soda, it was a very nice surprise to find that they carry it and was just an added bonus to an already really good meal! It is by far my all-time favorite flavored soda and the ONLY soda I ever consume, and not every store or restaurant carries it on this island! My wife really loved the "White" slice she ordered, she said it was the best White pie she's ever tasted and also said it was even better than the one we ordered just a couple weekends ago which she had thought was the best when she had that one! haha The service was extremely fast, as usual, the entire staff was very friendly, helpful, kind, polite and courteous, all wonderful things you sadly DON'T come across very often anymore when you eat out on this Island, and if you're from here, you know what we mean, so that was even MORE of a bonus for us! My family will definitely continue to order food in or for take out, and enjoy every crumb of it from Via Ponte! Thanks again for such delicious food! read more

OMG this is pizza thin crust rocks been coming here for years! I miss this place since I moved to Chicago. I mean there are a ton of pizza places in Staten Island but this is hands down the best! The crust is crisp and the toppings are fresh and the cheese! OMG, the cheese! This is a must-stop pizza place if you are in Staten Island NY. It has such a friendly vibe and the food is just incredible. if you don't want another chain factory-made pizza come to Via Ponte where it seems old fashioned or something different in a good way - just really good traditional pizza. read more

Favorite pizzeria on Staten Island, hands down. I haven't tried a dish here that I didn't love! I moved 25 minutes away and I continue to drive to Via Ponte just to get my fix. The grandma pie is amazing! The regular pizza is also delicious, unlike most places that use bland cheese and low quality sauce. Pasta and other entree dishes taste like fancy Italian restaurants, except you're getting it at a quarter of the price. Quick delivery and friendly staff! Must try! :) read more
