Everyone was super nice, but I don't understand the mass appeal. It's basically fast food. You order at a counter, pay, get a number. The food comes out so fast, it's all back there just waiting to be plopped on a plate. I got the Fried Green Tomato biscuit, it was...fine. I got the Lowcountry gravy on the side (as it's the only non-meat gravy option) and it was not what I expected- not a fan. Sunny egg was overcooked, the fried green tomatoes were good. The biscuit was too heavy & saturated w/butter or oil. Seemed like a Hardee's biscuit, not the fluffy buttermilk biscuit I was expecting. Edges were hard and chewy. You have to get your own everything- utensils, butters, condiments, etc. Mimosas are heavy-handed on the juice. The fresh squeezed OJ is probably the best thing about this place, to be honest. So we specifically came here for the crab cake biscuit but they were out so we were able to substitute shrimp! I was very happy they allowed that. First of all there was WAYYYYYYYY to much hollandaise as you can see in the photo but aside from scraping it almost all off it was seriously the best biscuit I have ever had in my life (jalapeño cheddar) so light so fluffy just absolutely amazing! And when I say dry, it is not overcooked dry; it is a form of biscuit that we are not use to here in Charleston. Trust me, that has not stopped the lines. Coffee stood up to the cream which is a huge plus for me at a breakfast joint. The set up is totally a goat rope mess though and would not be my first spot to pick for a nice Saturday breakfast with friends. Too loud, too crowded, my chair got bumped so many times I almost asked my friends to pick up our table and move the whole shebang forward. It was NOT a relaxing morning. The line out the door tells you it's good food, but crazy to order, find a table, if your lucky. Then you have to traverse that line again to get coffee. Then back across the line to the table. Realize you forgot silverware, not visible while in line, as now there are two lines and the person on your left has the area blocked. Go back, get silverware, then get jam and butter in tiny little cups, and the butter is rock hard, so as you're digging you get it all over, yourself included. And judging from the hot mess that bar was, so did everyone else. The menu here is different and much more limited. The line was literally out the door when I arrived, and after about 20 minutes of waiting, we ordered, then sat and waited for them to bring our food for another 15 or 20 minutes. I asked if they could recreate the order I had at the other location and the girl looked insulted and recommended I get something similar. I just wanted waffles with strawberries and whipped cream, but she told me the beignets with strawberries was similar. I ordered that, not wanting to be obnoxious, and it looked pretty enough, but I did not like the beignets at all. They were super fried and very crunchy, not soft or doughy at all. The strawberries and whipped cream were good, so was the iced coffee I ordered. I wouldnt come back to this location- I much prefer the Summerville one. read more

This place is impeccably clean. I've never been to biscuit place clean like this before. I'm glad they opened up where Boulevard Diner used to be. I'm not gonna lie to you but this place is expensive. That being said, it is well worth the money. There are plenty of parking spots. You need to be prepared to wait in a line. It was probably one of the best breakfast places I've had BUT we went early and the way it's set up to order then find a table there are people literally everywhere and they just keep taking orders. What attracted me to this place was that there was a line out the door. I thought surely it must be good, if there's a line of people starting to wrap around the building. While this place is good, I don't think it is line out the door good. Especially when it's 93 degrees and the humidity makes it feel over 100 (according to my phones weather app). I just know it was hot. This place is set up where you order at the counter and pay. You receive a table marker and find a seat to which an employee will bring your food in a tray. There's also a, for lack of better terms, butter bar right next to the soda fountain. There's 5 different type of butter and other sauces you can put on your biscuit. Overall the food is okay, but I'm from Georgia and I am a Chick-fil-A and Waffle House girl. I might be biased but I would be lying if I said the chicken biscuit and waffles were comparable, respectively. I would definitely only recommend you come here for the butter bar and when it is less busy. Because seating is pretty limited, especially when there is a line out the door. A must visit while in Charleston! We were told by a local this is the spot to go too and they were not wrong! The portion sizes are great (huge) for the price and they have a ton of options for biscuit pairings. They were so large we weren't able to finish the biscuits and ended up being full most of the day! Food: the seasonings on everything was perfect, they had a butter and jam bar at the front, which was amazing. We tried all of the jams, we especially liked the peach! A server brings your food out to the table (based on your number) and checks on you from time to time after that. But 3 stars because they don't take reservations and you have to go up to the counter and order. It took us 30 mins to put in an order and finding a table was a bit rough. After we put in our order and found a table it took another 30-45mins for our food to be delivered. They also forgot about our coffee. They were very busy so I completely understand. Pet peeve of mine (but probably won't bother anyone else) but they don't use real maple syrup. I did appreciate that when I asked the cashier, she didn't know, so she verified with the manager.
