this is my first official yelp review! and this place is A-M-A-Z-I-N-G i live right down the street and whenever i need a great eyebrow job or manicure, vicky's is always there to help me out. it's actually where i got my eyebrows done for the first time! during the weekends, though, it can get very busy, but the wait is certainly worth it! great selection of op polish and the girls do a great job on eyebrows. if you're in the broadway area of burlingame and need a manicure, defitnetly stop by. ask for lee if you're getting acrylics, he does them the best! Really great service- super friendly. They did a great job on my mani/ pedi and really took their time. I just thought the spa chairs could have been a little cleaner (like maybe just a wipe down would help?) Also, cost was $35 when most places around here are $30. They simply SUCK! For 5 years I've called ahead and they've never honored an appt. on time. In addition the owner Lee & his wife Vicki answer the phones and they can't even speak proper English to honor appointments they have scheduled. Their disregard to people's valuable time is insensitive, unprofessional, rude. The way the treat their employees is even worse, countless times I've heard them yell at Mimi & Vivian in Vietnamese to hurry etc. No more second chances, for second class service! read more

I wish I could write a better review because I really do like Lee. However, I made an appointment and I still got treated like I had no appointment. In comes this lady that complains that she can't get her color change because the salon is busy in which they are and now because this lady made a fit I had to wait to be helped!!! I haven't gotten any nails done or toes done. I would have walked out if she had not already started to take the nail polish off my toes. This will be the last time I come here. I do wish Lee the best but I refuse to have to wait when I made an appointment and this lady didn't. She was rude and the service I received as rushed and horrible. I didn't even get a massage when you receive a pedicure. I didn't get a massage when you receive a manicure. My shellac manicure is already coming off and it has only been less than a week. read more

I came here last Saturday at 6pm - right before closing time! I called ahead and asked if they would be able to take me and a friend at 6pm. They said yes and they were so accommodating. My friend was slightly late - but they were so nice about it. We both got mani-pedis ($35) and it was fantastic. They provided little massages, jet streams for the foot bath and massage chairs. I can't complain. My mani hasn't chipped yet, and it's been five days. I've had a few manis where they've chipped in 2 days. But service was super nice - they let us stay after their closing time in order for our nails to dry. I would come back again! read more

My first visit was extremely awkward, not a comfortable environment. No music, no conversations or anything. I can literally hear the flies that are in the shop buzzing.. I started coming here because of Kathy! She started waxing my eyebrows years ago & when that salon closed I was forced to find someone else to wax my eyebrows. What a mistake! Thankfully I found Kathy & have followed her to 3 different salons ... Yes, she's THAT good! So worth it! I really like this nail salon. The nail gel manicure will last 2 full weeks. The place is clean and welcoming. The staff always provide great customer service. I've been going to Vicky Nails for years and it's because the place just hits a home run in all areas for me - Lee is a very friendly owner & remembers your name, the massage chairs are so comfortable and magazines abound, a clay "mask" and scrub is included with your relaxing pedicure/mini leg massage and most important to me - the place is clean, comfortable AND my pedicures last FOREVER without chipping. If you haven't been, you've got to check it out. I've been to Universal Nails in Bgame and San Mateo - and found the service aloof and actually had the skin on my toes rubbed (with a buffer?) so hard that they bled. Vowed to never go back. No heated neck wrap is worth the risk to me. read more

I discovered this nail salon when i moved to Burlingame in the beginning of 2011, i have been getting my nails done every two weeks since i was 16 and have allot of different experiences (both good & bad) with nail salons, From 5 star spas to small "whole in the wall" nail salons. From the first time i came here i haven't even been to another nail salon in burlingame since. I'm very picky when it comes to my nails, and i must say they do a great job each and every time! MOST importantly Vicky's nails is ALWAYS CLEAN & SANITARY, My nail polish is always applied perfectly, they are always filed evenly, and my manicure never chips... Its crazy it stays on perfectly until my next visit! i don't know if its the OPI nail polish i use or the top coats they use but either way I've never went to a nail salon that was so consistent! Also a huge plus to me is they are QUICK! The service is great, everyone is always so sweet and pleasant and the price is great! I highly recommend Vicky's nails if you want a GREAT manicure that's quick and wont chip two days later! Parking is easy and there is a Starbucks down the street :) read more

I have gone here a couple of times and I have to say that the experience has been really pleasant. My first trip here was because the normal salon I go to around the corner was totally booked, and like the procrastinator that I am, I called about an hour before the actual time I wanted an appointment. Vicky's fit me right in which was great. The prices are on par with anywhere else you may go. But what I do like about them is that you get a great exfoliating scrub on your legs and feet with a basic pedicure that you would normally have to pay for at other salons. Everything is clean and they are attentive to keeping the basins sanitary, with a washing after every single pedicure and clean and clear solutions in the sterilizing jars. Service is friendly and efficient and I have never been rushed out of the place, even on their busiest days. If you are in the area and need some nail grooming, I highly recommend Vicky's. read more

I was a walk in, so they accept walk ins which is nice. Went in for an acrylic fill. The manicurist seemed rushed, asked for almond shape even showed a picture. Some nails were almond, others oval, and a few half and half funky looking. The polish was put on so thick, was fine for first 5 hours. Went to go do dishes and ruined 2 that were not set, after 5 hours they should be fine. My 3rd time here, seems to always be same story. I will not return. read more

Picked out 2 diff designs said she couldn't do it . very simple black nails with 1 orange with flowers on all nails she did 2 nails with flowers and pick tips on top of full black nails . looks horrible .. $40 dollars for someone my 1 year old god daughter can do!!!! A friend of mine that has been coming here a long time told me check Vickys out..I went today & got a Pedi. Mani. & full face wax ( never done that before)..Was very impressived with it all. Believe me when I tell you it was great service & am very happy with my end result--I did hair back in IL & owned my own salon. Prices here are good, it's clean, parking is great & eveyone is really nice. The owner Lee introduced himself to me & talked to me as I was drying my nails under the UV light. Totally impressed!! I got french for my manicure which I wouldn't normally do, so I am curious to see how well it stays. I will be back!! read more

Sorry but a pedicure should always be done before a gel manicure so your toes have time to dry. The lady did my eyebrows great but filed down my nails before I had time to stop her. She said she made them even. They were long now they are short. On top of that I wanted them rounded not flat but no one asked. She works on me before I have a time to pick a color. They have only have about 6 samples out of gel colors and then say what color do you want. I like to actually pick by looking. I'm visual that way. I felt rushed and just picked black. Not what I wanted but I didn't have time to really look cause I felt rushed. Then when the manicure was almost done they said what color for the pedicure. I am wearing boots and not going to sit for another 20 minutes after to wait for my toes to dry so I said forget it. Now I'm pissed no pedi and not what I wanted for my mani.... The one star is for my eyebrows. I will not be going back. read more

I love this place sooooo much. The first time I went here was 5 years ago when my Boyfriend took me on his birthday to get our nails done, and we were warmly greeted by Lee the owner himself. He was so nice and friendly and genuine. They don't rush you like other nail salons and they take their time making sure every nail is done to perfection!! The ladies are sweet and meticulous, and have very warm personalities. I mean if you are there to unwind and relax they definitely will give you that time to close your eyes and relax. They are respectful of your space and business by not being chatty, and delivering quality work and great customer service. We don't get to come as often as we like as we live in Hayward, but when we do come we always get hugs from Lee. Also his wife Vickey is super sweet, (shop named after her) and I got the privilege of getting my nails done from her and even though they were a gel manicure they were awesome. I can't stop looking at it!! Even my boyfriend loved his manicure and pedicure, he's a hard one to please so that's a good thing!! read more
