Mini Cooper dealer told me that I needed a motor mount replaced. I was suspicious as I came in for a battery replacement and they added this additional repair that coincidentally was not covered under warranty. I requested a quote from another business through yelp and didn't realize that I was sending out a request to other mechanics in the area... but so happy that I did. Allen responded right away and said he could put it on a lift for free to see what needs to be replaced. The original shop I requested a quote from gave me the same price as the dealer without even looking at it...passs. So I brought it in and met their mechanic, Z, who was so nice! He did as promised, offered me coffee and let me pull up a chair a he assessed the car right in front of me. Unfortunately for me, indeed, one of the mounts needed to be replaced and he showed me which one was faulty. There were no pressure tactics to get anything done right away and he actually told me that he would have to call around first to find the part before even giving me a quote. The quote turned out to be really affordable and I felt very at ease with Z so I scheduled the repair when he found the part. A few days later, I dropped the car off in the morning and he finished working on it in only a couple hours. When I picked it up later in the day, Z took the time to show me what he replaced and popped the hood open to look at the new part and explain what he did. As a woman, I have been taken advantage of so many times when it comes to repairs and was very worried about this since my warranty just expired. There were no surprises here. I am so happy to find such a genuine, honest, friendly and fast place to go to for any car troubles. Though I hope I don't need to very soon, I will definitely come back! read more

I reached out yesterday for a quote on an oil change and they were quick to respond and got me in the next morning! I brought my own oil and filter and only paid 40 for the labor! I was told about an hour wait and I was in and out in about 15 minutes! They were the kindest people and I even was low on coolant and they topped it off with some I already had in my car. I brought my Lexus LS, and inquired about the approach with applying oem touch-up paint on a few scratches that happened on the side of my vehicle. They inspected the scratch and suggested the touch-up paint will not blend well with the oem paint. Was talking to one of the person working there through yelp's messaging to get a quote. Basically the hood of my car came off because the hood hinges broke. I talked to the person and he said he could get it fixed and the process is he would have to order the parts and it'll take about a week. Asked multiple times for the price and that I would still be interested. Fast forward, I never heard back from this person. Definitely not professional because the worker read my messages multiple times of me basically asking for updates because I never heard back. I know they read it because the Yelp messenger has read receipts. It was just a waste of my 2 weeks and I could have gotten the car fixed somewhere else instead of waiting for them. I would've wished they could at least tell me "oh sorry, but we are actually unable to do this service" rather than staying quiet and having me wait to realize that they were unable to do it. Vics seriously saved my weekend. We were coming in from Reno for a weekend trip and were approximately an hour away from our destination when my cars acceleration basically gave out. The car was shaking and it just felt like an expensive problem... I lucked out because Vic's was the closest car repair shop to us at the time. We pulled in and I was visibly upset. They promptly took my car in, ran the codes, did some research and told me they could fix it. They replaced two spark plugs and two coils. The owner Allen and his team are literally the best people. I just cannot believe it. They are just so friendly, so honest--it's hard to believe that good people are out there, especially mechanics who doesn't try to take an arm and a leg and take advantage of the un-savvy. I initially sought them out because I thought I was leaking transmission fluid. They were a bit far from where I live, but I trusted the reviews--and boy, was it worth it! Their mechanic was funny, patient, and willing to teach/show me the problem areas he had found during his diagnosis. He found out that it actually wasn't a transmission fluid leak, but a multitude of failing parts on the engine. Here's the work I've gotten from them: - valve cover gasket - timing chain tensioner - oil pump gasket - oil change I do not want to disclose the actual amount they charged me--Here's why! Upon coming home, I did a little googling and found out that they had really underquoted me. I just didn't realize then just by how much. When I went to pick up the car, I had some brake issues and I got to speak with the owner while his mechanics were working on it. Such a great guy! We talked about a bunch of stuff, and he had really great travel stories. It seems he really values connections and community, and that kind of good-hearted people are just so rare these days. Coming out of 2020, I think many of us has faced hardship and I think my experience with them has been much more meaningful than repair at a mechanic. I came in for a diagnosis of an A/C repair. I told them what I tried and what it could be but I'm not expert, they are. So they did the repair that they diagnosed and after a couple hours turns out it wasn't what they thought it was and I was offered a supposed discount because they misdiagnosed the issue but I still had to pay for the labor of the misdiagnosis anyways. So I payed it and I got the part that was recommended for my car and waited for Allen to text or call me that day like he said he would. A couple days go by and I message him on his direct line (he gave me his number) and he tells me the labor is gonna be almost 500 but if paid cash it could be less....I audibly gasped because this was the most expensive repair I've ever been quoted out of all the stores and I brought my own part. Where's the big discount he mentioned? Thank GOD I trusted my instincts and went to another place because this place needed up being the most expensive out of every single mechanic shop I spoke to. Ended up taking it to another shop and getting it fixed for 300. Consumer beware. Make sure you call and shop around because there's way too much competition to be lied to let alone feel used about. read more
