Went here after the cheap shop option let me down. Paid more than I wanted but they got the job done and fitted me into their schedule quickly. Dino was very helpful getting my budget prioritized, but I still spent $2300 and they didn't even wash my car when I came to pickup. Don't feel like going back, I'm pretty sure GM HQ wouldn't love that kind of service. People were helpful but the level of customer care at this franchise just isn't high enough for more 3 stars. read more

A few weeks ago I took my 2020 Cadillac XT5 for an oil change, tire rotation and check engine light. when I got the car back my front camera wasn't working. Made another appointment for it to be assessed. I was told " here's the deal, we will check the car and if it's determined the camera not working was a result of us, you don't pay anything. If it's not our fault you pay. It's $169 for the 1st hour, at which point we stop work, call the customer and you tell us to continue or stop." Guess what? it wasn't their fault! I pay $169. When I picked it up, i asked them to order what needed to be ordered to fix the camera, which was a new camera. Me: "how long will it take to come in?" VC: "a couple days." A week and a half later the part arrived and my husband got a call to schedule an appointment. " can you bring it in Wednesday?" yup! show up Tuesday evening to drop it off for Wednesdays work, give her my name. desk girl: "Is it under another name?" nope. give her the name again and spell it. desk girl, again: "hmmm! I don't see it on the schedule tomorrow, Thursday or any time in the future". Service manager remembers talking with my husband and admitted to the mistake of not putting us in the schedule and "we'll get you in" 1:00 Wednesday my husband gets a call saying that won't have the car finished and will have to keep it. When I pick the car up Thursday, the desk girl tells me "the price is a little higher ($10) than what was quoted because they had to keep the car". She said "we had to charge a little more labor because we didn't want to rush with the car and break anything!" WTF! So I have to pay because you didn't have the allotted time for not having it in the schedule to begin with. I think that's really poor customer service. Charging me because you screwed up! I think we, as customers, should have the option of charging the business an inconvenience fee! It's not even about the $10 when I'm already paying over $500 for the camera. It's about them taking care of the customer, maybe "eat" the $10 as a token of your mess up. I don't think we'll be going back to Victor Chevrolet. read more

Leased a 2024 Chevy Trax and have had 3 recalls, needed a valve pump replaced and my passenger right window stopped working and it's just 8 months I've had the vehicle. Both the service and sales department of this dealership are rude and argumentative. They don't care about customer service, they only care about the sale and trying to prove the customer wrong (attempt to at least). I've called THREE times over two weeks to speak with the sales manager (Tom, I believe) and each time I was told he'd call me the next day first thing and I've yet to receive a single phone call from him. I was also hung up on by whoever I spoke to in the service department and while Heather said "I'm not dismissing your complaints" when I told her I was incredibly frustrated with this vehicle and the number of times I'm having to take it in to get fixed and no one offering me any sort of compensation for my time. It wasn't until I raised my voice that I was offered a rental vehicle while they fixed my window bc they told me I'd have to leave it and unsure when it would be done by. My son also got sick IN my car because his window wouldn't go down and I had to have the inside of my car detailed... I ended up cancelling my appointment with them for my window and am going to be bringing my vehicle to Garber Chevrolet from here on out. The staff there actually give a crap about the customer and have been very informative and friendly with every experience so far. I will NOT be returning this car to Victor at the end of my lease and I will NEVER recommend Victor Chevrolet to anyone! Your generic responses to every negative review I've seen just shows their lack of empathy for their customers. read more

Went for an oil change and an inspection for my vehicle that has less than 19000 miles. They said my front brakes would pass but needed attention soon. My bake brakes fail. Quote for back brakes pads and rotors $540. Front brakes $715. They couldn't do them that day. I leave buy back rotors, back pads and Front pads. Replace all. Go back for another inspection 3 weeks later only driving less than 30 miles between visits. They fail the Front brakes stating the rotors are delaminated. Then the charge me $10 on top of that. I bought my car off my lease through them. Not one thank you as I left the building. Never again service or sales. read more

victor chevy is a scammer dealership! brought this to the bbb attention as well! victor chevy says they have no corporate number, okay ill call albany and contact chevy and gm and let them know how we were treated for two customers purchasing two brand new vehicles that are paid off. we will see how they feel about that customer dealership relationship. dont take your brand new vehicles to victor chevy, let alone trust them with any vehicle! the gm, rocco, called us, customer, scammers. scammers!? are you serious right now? we purchased two brand new vehicles from chevy (bidleman to be exact and had a great experience on 8/2021 and 1\2022 ) we have only had the truck serviced once this year by victor chevy due to location. we had the other serviced a few times and it was only ever serviced by again, victor chevy! no one else has touched our vehicles. issue 1- they will scratch your rims when rotating tires and try to not take responsibility and then try to fix their mess up on three different occasions and drive the car over 100 miles finding someone to fix their mess up without even telling us they were driving my car to scottsville on two occasions putting over 100 miles on my brand new vehicle. there were no scratches on my powder coated rim previously because it was a brand new vehicle only serviced with a chevy/gm dealer! the gm, rocco, gave us his word that he would be there on the day of the third time of my rim "trying" to get fixed!" he was no where to be found and lied about giving his personal guarentee about it being fixed correctly and to make it right for putting over 100 miles on my brand new vehcile without consenting with me first under my insurnace. since rocco was mia, i found the sales manager, ed servanti, and he offered a free fuel up and oil change for rocco not being around and the issues of them taking my car on multiple ooccasions when we were told the rim doctor was comimg to victor. at the point, i dont trust them to touch my vehicle again. the best part is when you call roccos number listed on the victor chevy website, 585.721.4597 - heather strong is the one who answered even though she will deny it was her and argued, i mean argued with me and said i had the wrong number. i left voicemails for rocco with no return calls but once in the beginning when giving us his guarentee that he would be there and wasnt. how pathetic! i have screenshots of the number listed on the website and when i called and for how long when the lady was arguing by saying the number is wrong on the chevy website! mind is blown! what a shady business!!! issue 2- they cant even do an oil change with my other brand new vehcile without it leaking all over the filter and my brand new driveway. this entire time, we thought it was someone elses vehicle leaking oil because we drive alot in the warmer months. now that the colder months have arrived, and the truck hasnt been driven alot, we have noticed the oil even more. again we had thought it was other peoples vehicle because in our heads that.....we have brand new vehicles so it wouldnt be ours. well sure enough, we got down and looked underneath and sure enough oil was dripping from the filter of the truck. are you serious!? so now that we figured that out, we bring it to victor chevy attention because again its only been serviced by them and we got called scammers from the general manager! i am blown away. rocco and heather are by far the most arrogant people. dont buy your vehicles there. dont get your vehcile service by them. victor chevy does not take responsibility for anything!!! we have two brand new vehicles that they treated like garbage from that place. they are brand new. i expect it to be babied! i wasnt bringing them old rust buckets. how can a gm attempt to resolve the issue by telling his customers that we are scamming him?! and then told us to get out. and then proceeded to tell us that ed servanti offer for our fuel up and oil change was denied! dont ever do business with rocco and heather at victor chevy. you have been warned. 0/0 read more

I had to give them everything except my first born before they would even talk to me about a price. When I walked in I clearly said I wanted to get a price rage on an Equinox. The salesperson wanted my personal information before even listening to me about the options I wanted. I would of/should of walked out, but I didn't want to cause a scene. I brought my suburban in for installation of side bumpers, bars for roof racks and reattachment of rear window heating element. I was asked to bring the truck in at 8 AM and did. I got a call at 12 noon informing me that they needed more time to install the side bumper panels and that the other two that were currently on the vehicle needed to be replaced too. They had decided to remove the two that were on the truck because they felt they too were loose. Therefore they needed more time to put on the four panels. I was falsely told that the job would take 3.5 hours to put all four panels back on the truck. I told them the two panels that were on the truck were fine as I pressure tested them myself. I asked to speak to the GM who called me back. The technician had arbitrarily removed the two good panel bumpers on his own accord without discussing it with anyone prior to. The GM informed me that the service dep't had misspoke when they said I'd be charged 3.5 hours for 4 panels. Bottom line there's a real lack of communication at this dealership. I would not have had this experience at two other Chevy dealerships predicated on my experience. I picked Victor as they're close and could handle my service needs sooner. Where do I even start Sold me a vehicle 11 months ago, came back 3-4 different times with issues. The last time I came in one of your mechanics mentioned the oil was low in the vehicle and not sure if he fully inspected the vehicle because a month later the engine was blown on it. I owe 12,000 dollars on this vehicle and they want 7500 to fix it. You would think if I have been in multiple times with issues and I have only put 7,000 miles on it that would warrant them working with you. Nope they could do nothing for me. They do not call you back when you have issues they prefer to shoe you off. At one point I made an appt and they didn't even have me in the schedule. Called the sales manager 3x to try and get me into a new vehicle and didn't call me back. I had to physically go in to even get someone to work with me. When I did they all sat in the office and talked about me (not discreet). 600/m for a trax? Nope. Your service dept is rude, they wanted 115$ (never even told me I would owe for someone to look at the car) Gary claims Mindy told me 2 Saturdays ago.. Well the car has only been there a week and 2 days....Gary is quite rude and they told me "just get the car out of here". I purchased a 2015 Silverado 2500HD. I was not given a windows sticker when I picked it up. I asked for it the next day. 9 months later, with 27 emails back and forth with Victor Chevrolet and a lot of lip service with promised dates that come and go with no results. Today when I followed up on this ongoing issue, they told me to call GM customer service myself. Victor Chevrolet was fine until the day after I picked up the truck then I was dead to them. They made their deal, got paid, unloaded a truck, and moved on without giving me my darn window sticker. I did like the service department. Horrible - Lets start with the fact that they are making Victor look like a huge car lot! Over a year in construction and still looks like crap. I am also not a fan of when they first started here - I went to them to buy a used Mercedes for my wife. We agreed on a price and I told them I was going between that car and another one from another deal (Different Brand). My wife decides on the Mercedes - I call the sales person up and reviewed the details and price. I told her I would be in the next day to sign paper work for the car. I get into the Sales area and the sales person totally forgot about our call, had nothing prepared and then did the ultimate sleezy sales move - went back to talk to her manager! They jacked the price up by 2500 from the price that we had agreed on. I told her no way! Here it is written on the paper .. nope - they wouldn't stick by the agreed upon price. Obviously, I walked. A few of my friends in the area also said, the deal buys used cars at auction and jacks the price up so they can discount the new cars - to keep the high volume Chevy title ... ridiculous. Can I give less than 1 star? I stopped by to ask about an alignment on my Corvette. I wanted specific settings for a track oriented setup (I have an event in a couple weeks), and I was assured it wouldn't be an issue. Made the appointment, dropped it off. When I returned to pick it up, there was no printout for the alignment. I asked if I could get a copy. I had to settle for a cell phone picture screen shot, because something is wrong with the printer. Ok... I take a look at the settings, and they are not remotely what I wanted. A factory spec alignment was performed. I asked why it wasn't done as I had requested, and the first response I received was that the car is no able to get to my requested settings. That was from the Service Manager. Then I asked to speak to the tech that did the alignment. His response was that I couldn't get them there, but there were no signs of damage to any of the components. I then inquired about the technique used to attempt my requested settings, and the back pedaling began. "Did you remove the alignment shims from the upper arm?" "Uh.....no....we don't...uh..." Very quickly, the story changed to, "We don't perform non-factory alignments." Now, I'm very upset. I was told that they could perform the work I requested. The very moment that my request could not be completed, I *should* have received a phone call telling me the situation. Instead, they decided to do whatever they wanted in an attempt to charge me for work I didn't request. Had I been called, this could have all been avoided. I asked to speak to the owner. He reluctantly finally came out, dressed in shorts and a tshirt. I explained to him that I was upset that I didn't even get a call, and that this was the "shittiest" service I have ever received. He told me that he didn't want me swearing in his business and that he wanted me to leave and never come back. I said I'd be happy to. Then I said I'd be sure to cancel the charge on my credit card. Only then did he offer a refund if I agreed to not return. They take your money and then management forgets about you. I've had nothing but problems with this truck(16 service visits in 15 months) and one problem still exists that they can't seem to find or fix. On one of the many days that I was there in the service waiting area, I stopped Ed Servati, the Sales Manager, and told him that he sold me a piece of junk. He said "No I didn't" and kept walking. Called on a Pontiac on A Thursday i planned on purchasing on Saturday, set up an appointment and everything, Saturday morning on my way to work, i get a call that the car is sold, which was no problem, so i continued my search. Found the same car with less miles somewhere else about a week later, i ended up purchasing that one. A week after that i get a call back from Victor Chevy saying that they still have the Pontiac available. This was three weeks later, and also the car they told me had sold, Makes me feel like they thought that i wasn't serious about buying the car. I got a better deal elsewhere, if they want to call you back 3 weeks later and say "We actually still have it" that's not who i'd want to deal with. In March I purchased a Toyota Rav4. I have been back to the dealer 5 times trying to get my key replaced and floor mats for the car. (It was missing them). The dealer called and told me that they just got ahold of the previous owner and he brought them in. They were disgusting and worn. The other times I tried they were the wrong color ect. When I went there to get them they were obviously not the correct floor mats. I said I would call the owner and speak with him. While in my car, the owner comes out and said I refused the other ones. I told him I would send a bill for replacement mats ( $94 and change. He said that he would not pay for them. I looked him in the eyes in amazement and said "you're the owner?", at which time he walked away. The owner said this ??? I said I would see him in Small Claim(s) court. read more
