I come here for lunch from Costco all the time, it's a more Greek style Mediterranean food. I eat vegetarian and the Greek salad, the falafel salad and their hummus is bombbbb. I'm writing this review finally though because I came here for a falafel salad about 45 minutes before they closed and they were out of falafel. I was bummed but just ordered something different. Absolutely amazing place! My wife and I love this place so much that we decided to have them cater for our rehearsal dinner for our wedding. George (a part owner), was very patient as we arrived later than expected to our rehearsal spot. But he was super kind, helping me set up for my own party, and then setting up his own food! Very kind and very professional. He also left the food warmer bags with us and told us to just return it whenever we got the chance. The service and the food is amazing. I had no idea this was a chain. I've been to the location in RB and wasn't too impressed. This location is even worse. The shop is really run down and none too clean. The food is so bland, it made me cringe. My chicken sandwich was ok. If you like to eat at Daphne's (even so, it didn't really measure up). I didn't try the falafel (but my husband didn't look enthused). The hummus was just bad. The eggplant dip was the best thing going for either plate. Pretty subpar Greek food. If you want decent Greek food in this area, go to Pegasus Cafe, the Greek Corner cafe, or Santorini. I had to drop a star based on the general lack of cleanliness. And I rarely do that. read more

This neat kafe is sort've tucked away in the business park but I assume that's their main clientele besides the Hampton inn next door. I think Victor's is a chain because I remember eating at one in rancho Bernardo. I ordered a spicy gyro sandwich & the guy who made it was great. He was doing some cleaning tasks so I told him to take his time since I wasn't in a hurry. All the chairs were up so he insisted on taking some down if I wanted to dine-in. After I grabbed the food, I left so it wasn't until I started eating the sandwich that I noticed he hooked it up with loads of meat which was an awesome unexpected surprise. Loads of gyro meat topped with ample yoghurt sauce made for a yummy & filling meal was hard to beat with how hungry I was. Overall, super positive vibes coming from him and the sandwich was great. My only gripe was that the meat didn't come off the rotating skewers but that's Probably because it was night time. read more

I work just down the street from Viktor's and I drove past it a million times and decided a couple months ago to give it a shot. I have had the Chicken Schwarma sandwich and the Chicken Schwarma plate and they are both excellent! The pita is fluffy the chicken is tender and juicy and their homemade garlic sauce is amazing! Victor's Kafe is a solid lunch spot for those working in the surrounding offices. There is limited seating but they offer takeout, online and phone orders as well. I also want to add that the workers are friendly. I've tried the spicy gyros sandwich as well as the falafel plate so far. The falafel plate was a huge portion for a reasonable price...it came with 4 slices of pita, hummus, a baba ghanouj looking dip, and a salad. The falafel was crunchy on the outside but still moist on the inside. Their special is the spicy gyros. To me, spicy with anything is good! Not much to complain about. Best first impression was seeing the guy at the cash register then turn around and wash his hands thoroughly before helping the cook prepare my order. The first thing we noticed when walking in to this restaurant was that it was hot. The door was left open to help cool it down which allowed flies to come in. The employees were running around at a fast pace filling some sort of take-out order. I ordered the Falafel plate. When my food arrived, I was disappointed. My salad and pita were fine but my entree wasn't even edible. It was overcooked but I tried it anyway. Yep, it was burnt. I thought about taking it back but they were busy. Been coming here since 2005. Super random location, but hands down the best gyros you'll find in town. The owner is super cool, and the entire staff is very personable. My personal favorites are the spicy gyros with grilled onions (onions are served raw unless you request for grilled) and I love the pepper chicken platter which includes rice, pita bread and a chicken blend with grilled onions and peppers. Peppers good for flavor, not spicy at all. Pepper chicken sandwich is virtually the same thing. Just in sandwich form without the random sides. After you go here, this place makes all Greek Restaurants taste like crap. This place has set the standard. Keep it up guys! read more

Good place tucked in a corner strip mall. I got the Gyro sandwich solo and the meat was perfectly seasoned and I also got their garlic aioli sauce that was the BOMB. The bomb so much that I got a second one and shared it with my coworker. Their portions are right on and as a matter of fact, for me the serving of the meat was abundant. It's industrial and residential heaven out there, but don't give up hope! The chicken plate was delish, over rice with salad, fresh and soft pita and nicely flavored chicken-slightly dry, but only slightly and the yummy Tzatziki made up for it a bit. We also had a greek salad with sliced beef kabob-realy enjoyed it. Dining in I wouldn't suggest unless you;re doing the quick break thing-casual but loud. I go here sometimes for lunch. I really love there Gyro sandwich and Fries. The seating is rather minimal so it is best not to go after 12:00 when everyone else goes to lunch. I usually take my food to go so it is not really a problem for me. The have a big menu on the wall with pictures of each of the dishes so it makes ordering very easy. I like the greek food better here than at Daphne's down on Poway road. It just seems more authentic but I can't say for sure since I have never been to Greece. I definitely like there fries better than Daphne's fries. I should really eat here more often. Better than most fast food hamburger joints. read more

Absolutely wonderful. I am so happy that I work within walking distance of this awesome little cafe... erm... kafe. I am an avid falafel eater and have probably eaten several sheeps' worth of feta cheese in my lifetime, and I can tell you in no uncertain terms that these guys bring it. I ordered the vegetarian plate and the feta fries to split between my husband and I for lunch one day. I asked for the fries well done (cuz I likes 'em CRISPY) and everything else was kept as-is. I have to tell you that every single thing... EVERYTHING... was delicious. It was so good we didn't talk during the whole thing except to say "DID YOU TRY THIS YET?!" Baba ganoush: on point. Hummus: humble it ain't. Falafel: one of the best I've ever had. And the aforementioned feta fries? All I can say is holy fuck. Prepare to be unimpressed. The menu is extremely average for strip-mall Greek food. Expect nothing unexpected. We had a smattering of dishes; gyros, spanakopita, avgolemono soup - things came with undercooked rice. The gyros was the same standard frozen-then-defrosted Sysco log that is dropped off all over town. Spanakopita was basically feta-less and was like chewing through mostly tasteless dough and spinach. The worst offense was the soup. The entrees all came on disposable plates with plastic forks and paper napkins. But the soup came IN a plastic to-go container. I was stumped. Did the guy taking my order think I wanted this to go? I asked for a bowl. I was told they don't have bowls, and that this is what the soup comes in. The soup tasted thoroughly like melted plastic, as the piping hot contents easily melted the thin cheap plastic vessel. Boring, unwelcoming, no thanks. I guess if you work in the area and don't really care how your Greek food tastes, then this would be fine once a month. Full disclosure: this review pertains to their location in Rancho Bernardo. I am not sure what trouble the owner has had with Yelp such that only the Poway location is listed. I suppose it could be an entirely different and amazing scene over there in Poway, but, it's the same owner, so it's not. read more

They're really only busy around lunch (Actually, I think they're only open for lunch?) so they don't have a ton of time to devote to each customer. The food, however, is awesome. I've tried gyros, falafel, chicken, salads... the list goes on. Nothing at this restaurant has disappointed.
