The DJ played dance music throughout the hour+ long stay, the place was packed with cheerful patrons, and the dancing was non-stop. I would have posted a video of me dancing, but I'm certain, that I would lose my Elite Badge, plus Yelp would demand an apology added to this review. Our Bartender crafted strong and well presented drinks (Strawberry Margaritas and Red Sangria), tended to us with a smile, and we appreciated her humor. I came to Vida Verde for a birthday brunch with a group of ten and while the experience was okay, I would not come back. The bottomless is 90 minutes, $30 per person with the purchase of an entree. My group had one person who does not drink alcohol but was told everyone is charged the $30 regardless of whether they drink or not. I have been to many bottomless brunch places and have never heard of such a ridiculous policy. They were served "bottomless" mocktails, except they got one glass and it was not refilled the whole time we were there. The bottomless drinks were served in small plastic wine glasses. Since the glasses were small, we were constantly waiting for the server to come back around and refill them. The food was overpriced ($21-$26 for three tacos) and pretty unappetizing. The al pastor tacos were oddly topped with parsley and dill instead of cilantro. One of my al pastor tacos was all fatty end pieces and borderline inedible. The tortillas were not warmed at all. We also ordered the birria tacos, but calling them birria would be generous. The tortillas were not seared at all, and the meat was pretty dry. The menu allows cheese to be added to tacos for $3, but when we asked to add it to the birria tacos the server tried to tell us we couldn't. She told us cheese doesn't go on birria tacos (quesabirria tacos very much exist!), but we insisted and she relented. The consomé was watery and there was only a little. The chimichanga with chorizo was the only dish that I enjoyed, but it's pretty difficult to mess up a deep fried burrito. There are plenty of other bottomless brunch places around that offer a much better experience and food. read more

This is a way overdue review. We came for a visit on 02/23/2024 and this visit was a completely different experience from my first visit. Was it because we were sitting upstairs and not downstairs? I'm really not sure what the issue was with the server this time. We arrived early, but the hostess said it wasn't an issue and they had plenty of seats available, so she took us upstairs. We were taken to a table that already had a menu on it. Now I MUST mention that the other tables also already had the same menu on them as well so it doesn't seem like there was one just left there by mistake. This was a Valentine's Day special menu. Nothing up there said "brunch." This menu was also featured online. Again, nothing mentioned brunch just to try their valentine day special cocktail. So we peruse the menu, choose some options, and the waiter comes over with a bit of an attitude to ask what we want. No, hello or anything, just what do we want. When the first person in my party mentioned the items they wanted from the menu, it was snatched from his hand and we were told those items weren't an option and we needed to choose from the other menu options available... you know the other menu we didn't know about using, that we never received. We, looked at each other but one of my friends was hungry and wanted to stay so we stayed and ordered. All of our orders were wrong. One of my items never even came out. I told them to just cancel it and yet it was still on the bill when we received it. This was such a let down in comparison to the first visit. The drinks were pretty okay and the other two did enjoy the food they received which is why they received the other stars. Hopefully they have better staffing and did some retraining but in the meantime I don't believe I would recommend this place or return any time soon. read more
