This place is huge and spacious, with a really lovely ambiance. We sat at the downstairs bar for margs and salsa and it was great. The service is really quick and nice! The salsa was really delicious - better than I've ever had! Will definitely be back.

They have outdoor seating that was unfortunately full when we went, but sitting inside was nice too! There was a cool disco ball. Nachos were good, aperol spritzes were massive, and service was great. Would definitely come back for their outdoor seating!

Had an amazing time at Vida Verde! The food was absolutely superb, the service was fast and friendly, and the music created such a fun vibe throughout the night. It was a little crowded, but honestly that just added to the energy and experience , I enjoyed every minute there. The standout dish for me was the Mexican street corn cup, the Esquites; easily the best thing on the table! So flavorful, creamy, cheesy, and perfectly seasoned. The fajitas were also delicious and cooked perfectly. Definitely a spot worth visiting for great food, drinks, and atmosphere. Highly recommend

Stopped in on a whim on super bowl Sunday to catch the halftime show (ifykyk) and boy what a vibe! Huge space with colorful warm decor, totally didn't feel like I was in a bar Staff was so friendly and patient waiting on us all night and food was surprisingly so good? Didn't realize it was a tequila bar originally but my friends and I got margs and they were easily the best bar margs I've had in a hot minute 10/10 experience!

Massive WOW. Completely mesmerized the moment I walked in--what started as a quick drink with a friend turned into a full experience. The energy in this place is hard to ignore, the kind that just puts you in a good mood whether you're ready for it or not. The music doesn't let you leave mentally. Kept it simple with drinks but the nachos caught my attention and did not disappoint, I can only imagine the weekends there. Only reason it's not a 5 yet is because my time here was minimal--but impactful. I also noticed they have a rooftop bar that I still need to explore, so an update is coming later this summer.

The vibes at this restaurant are amazing!! We went for the bottomless brunch which was a perfect place to start our day. The music was amazing and the drinks kept flowing. Service was fast and food was delicious. I would highly recommend this place for a bottomless brunch

This was my first time visiting Vida Verda on a Sunday evening and the music was everything you need to enjoy a night. Our server Jack was wonderful and very well attentive. My group and I enjoyed nachos and two pitches (a sangria & margarita). I enjoyed my time and will certainly return!

Tacos were really small. Not worth $22 at all. They're not even double tortillas. But the tortilla itself was very good. Just a shame they don't do two like traditional places do it. The business seems to penny pinch. They skimp out on the jalapeños, so if you ask for more, it's an extra dollar. They also charge you an extra 2.68% on top of the bill if you use credit card. There's a live DJ, who kind of doesn't control the volume well. However he was playing a lot of good music. I even shazamed one so I can add it to my library

Ambiance 10/10 Food 10/10 Service 20/10 Our waitress was so attentive, she kept coming over to us every 5 minutes to ensure we were doing ok and I truly appreciated that. Whatever we asked for she provided and our food came out of the kitchen so promptly I didn't even have time to eat my small appetizer lol. The guacamole, margarita and burrito bowl tasted amazing, my only critique was for the margarita. It wasn't sweet enough so I asked for cup of syrup and she brought me over some agave to sweeten it up. The decor and ambiance is very nice. They were festive. I have no critique.

I recently planned a birthday celebration here for a party of 11. I reached out via phone with some questions after making my online rez, and Tiffany was super helpful when answering my questions/accommodating my requests. The host was also very warm when greeting us with a big smile upon our arrival. We grabbed a couple of cocktails by the bar, before being seated. Throughout the night, we tried El Gran Humo (their take on a Smoked Old Fashioned,) a Tamarind Mezcalita, Spill the Beans, Red Sangria, and a seasonal cocktail. All of the drinks were prepared well, with El Gran Humo being one of our favorites. All of the dishes we ordered were very flavorful, with the only complaint being that the cost for the portion size seemed a bit high (although understandable given the location.) The service was very efficient throughout the evening, and I'd definitely visit again for their HH specials.

First Impressions: I've been here many times, for happy hour with friends and to bring out of town guests who are visiting the city... this place, never disappoints. Staff is friendly, drinks are strong, food is delicious, and the ambience is chill during happy hour and a fun late night on the weekends with the music going. A definite plus is the access to the rooftop on the second floor. The Noms: I've ordered the nachos, which are always good. The only complaint I have is I wish there was more chicken... a few times I ordered this dish... it seemed to me that the chicken was very scarce. The shrimp empanadas are so fucking good... the first time we ordered it we had to do a second and third round because it was just that good. The margaritas are absolutely delicious... I love all the different flavor combinations In Conclusion: I would recommend this place for happy hour and for dinner with friends and coworkers and out-of-town guests. You can't go wrong. My only suggestion to the restaurant is to please don't be stingy with the nacho toppings!!!

The ambiance was really nice--definitely a chill spot to hang out with friends in NYC. The bartender was attentive and gave great recommendations when we were ordering food, which we appreciated. We had a large group, and there was plenty of space to move around and mingle as people came and went. The drinks were great as well.

i came to vida verde on a weekend evening, and right from the start, the decor was beautiful. there was some confusion about whether we could be seated without a reservation. downstairs, we were told there would be a two-hour wait, but upstairs we were seated without an issue. i'm not sure how the two spaces operate or if they share the same system, but it seems like they may run somewhat independently. the standout dish for me was the nachos. they had a great variety of textures, with creamy elements from the sauces paired with chicken, beans, and a hearty layer of cheese. the flavors were satisfying and well balanced. i will say that the restaurant was extremely busy, and we did feel a bit rushed to leave after finishing our food. if you're looking for a place to linger and chat for a long time on a weekend evening, this might not be the best option. the server was nice, but it did feel like they were eager to turn the table. overall, though, the ambience and the food were great.

Friends and I are coming from LA, Do we need reservations?

Yes, I'd recommend a reservation as the staff is pretty particular and a lot of the tables end up reserved for large parties.

Do you guys serve Mocktails or virgin margaritas?

    Yes they do both

    Are the drinks strong enough?

    Yes

Is the rooftop open? I see a lot of reviews saying it was closed or you can't order drinks up there?

Well, on Tuesday it closes early like 10 or 11pm. You can order drinks but not food. They have a sign calling it a margarita market.

    Is the brunch bottomless?

Yes; $30 includes unlimited Bloody Mary's and mimosas, and then you have to fully pay for an entree too.

What type of music during Saturday brunch usually?

They play play old school hip hop as well as current and the mix the DJ does with them is great.

Do you accept walk-ins during brunch?

Yes they do they are amazing and the food is great just simply call prior to make sure it's not packed and you have to wait ...enjoy

Do I need to call to notify if there will be one member less in our reservation?

No, they'll adjust the table when you get there. One person isn't significant enough and probably won't change the configuration of your table

Do you they give you anything with a sparkler when celebrating a birthday?

They'll send sparklers to your table and a sign that says "it's my birthday" with your name (so you can take pictures with it). That's it :)

How loud is it during dinner time on a Friday or Saturday night?

Normally not loud. I'd find another place.

Does this spot have a bottomless brunch deal?

    Yes

Is there a cost to make a reservation or deposit required?

No, you just make the reservation online

Is it a recommended, cute spot, to go for drinks to celebrate wedding anniversary?

Depends on your definition of "cute." This place is more like a club-vibe with flashing lights and loud party music. It's fun, but may be a little high-octane depending on what your wedding anniversary is meant to be -- hope you find this useful!

Do you guys give free tarot readings?

Hi there, we used to have Free Drag Tarot Card Readings every Saturday for our Saturday Night Fiestas. We currently have had to stop this but hope to have it back in action sometime in the future.

Are you a 21 and over establishment?

Hi there, yes Vida Verde is a 21+ establishment

Do you have heat lamps and an awning or covering for your outdoor seating situation?

Our Rooftop Patio is now closed until the Spring

Are you guys serving the loaded guacamole and does it look the same as in the pictures with the shrimp and pork rind in it?

Hi there, the loaded guacamole is currently not on our menu but maybe it will make a return in the new year ;)

Would I be able to order a mimosa during brunch? Or do they not serve mimosas at all

Hi there, yes we do serve mimosas!

Can kids be in the establishment for brunch?

No, we are a 21+ establishment

I was warmly greeted by the gentleman at the door (5 service there), which set a great first impression. However, as soon as I walked downstairs, it felt like the space had lost its speakeasy vibe. I was seated right near the stairs and could feel cold air from outside every time the door opened, which made the experience uncomfortable. I was also surprised to see how much the cocktail menu had been reduced. When I asked about it, the response was that "the place changed a lot." That's fair -- places evolve -- but instead of highlighting the improvements or new strengths, the explanation focused negatively on what the bar used to be. As someone who really enjoyed the former version, that wasn't reassuring. Unfortunately, the drinks themselves didn't make up for it. One of the two cocktails was simply not good. No one came back to check on the drinks, and when I asked for the check after about 20 minutes, there was no acknowledgment that I had barely touched mine or any inquiry about my experience. Overall, a place I once enjoyed and recommended now feels more like a standard dive bar where " Mixologist " were replaced by bartender and were fun cool looking and tasty drinks were replaced by " less complex cocktail ", lacking the warmth and attention to detail that once made it special.

The cocktail menu is very creative - I got one of their seasonal mixes that was actually two drinks in one. For drinks, we ordered the Smoke Show and the King Tusk. The Smoke Show was beautifully balanced. The Grey Goose vodka and Dolin Dry gave it that classic martini backbone, but the fino sherry and brine added depth. The smoked olive oil and blue cheese olive brought just enough savory drama without overpowering the glass. It was complex but not fussy. The King Tusk leaned more aromatic and layered. The vermouths gave it richness, while the Buddha's Hand and osmanthus flower added subtle citrus and floral notes that lingered in a really elegant way. We walked in without a reservation around 6:20 p.m., and they were able to accommodate us at a shared table until 7:15. The menu surprised me a bit. Since I associated the address with Eleven Madison Park, I wasn't expecting to see items like wings stuffed with sausage, which were done in partnership with Jungsik. We ordered those along with the mushroom burger and asked them to cut the burger in half for us. The cocktail menu was creative and a little intimidating, with unconventional ingredients like cream cheese and green curry. I went with a fruity Hendrick's-based drink, and my friend ordered the spicy green curry martini. Both were good. Mine didn't taste very strong, but it also wasn't overly sweet because there was enough bitterness to balance it out. The green curry martini was more adventurous but still worked. Service was mixed. There was a woman standing near us, so we tried ordering food with her, but she seemed hesitant to come over. Maybe she wasn't a server or was newer. For drinks, she brought over someone more seasoned, who quickly helped guide us based on our preferred taste profiles. Her suggestions were very good. The mushroom burger was the highlight for me. It was a little salty, but the crispy mushroom and soft bun were a great combination. I honestly wished I had more than half. The wings were okay. They were crispy on the outside and juicy inside, but coated in a Dorito-like powder that made them very messy. Overall, it was a good experience, and I'd come back, especially for the mushroom burger.
