Found this spot after coming from an appt. Nice and small, they asked for my vaccination card as I was doing indoor dining. I ordered the beef pho with raw beef (you can get cooked). The broth was flavored well and had a lot of depth to eat. The noodles were perfectly cooked and all the veggies were fresh and firm. I loved that they had a fish ball option for the pho, I've never had that but typically love them in hot pots! When we arrived there was no one else in the restaurant which is good because it is very small and I'm sure it would be difficult to a social distance. The cashier was friendly and took our order quickly. We ordered a pork chop Banh mih. The pork seemed like it was cooked fresh and tasted very delicious. The veggies that came with it were good but pretty average. The bread though was very plain and disappointing. It seemed like they just took it out of a bag and slapped some toppings on it. This was an awesome practically hidden spot along Nassau! I picked up some food to-go after a gym trip and on my way to a working lunch - I was absolutely starving and needed a big bowl of noodle soup! The interior is very unassuming, but the smell is absolutely incredible as soon as you walk in. The counters were full of customers during a weekday in the mostly dead financial district, which is always a good sign. Came here in desperate need of asian soup due to a tickle in my throat. The dark lighting, metal stools and sauce bespeckled walls made me almost prefer this location over the Tribeca one because it felt more like a real hole in the wall asian joint. Plus it is CASH ONLY as of October 2019, how very asian! The cash only policy seemed to be vexing to many customers and one even stormed out. The work around is to order online on their website which accepts credit card and don't forget to use the 10% off discount code "district10". If you order the "eat in" option online, be sure NOT to abide by the pick up time listed on the website and tell the cashier you ordered online for eat in. They do not prepare your food until you are present in person so there is no point in waiting. Unlike some other places, beansprouts, cilantro and scallions come pre mixed into your pho so be sure to specify if you don't want any of these. The porkchop pho I ordered was pretty solid, decent portion size, perfect pork to pho ratio (a rarity!) and the pork was tasty if a bit fatty. Sadly, the noodles went soft very quickly but maybe that's just encouragement to eat faster. If you need pho and can't make it to Chinatown or Flushing, this place is not a bad option even if their service policies are a little wonky. read more

As for the classic banh mi, again not bad. A bit bigger banh mi than most that I've had. It's more bread but tastes good. The Classic at Vietspot bore little resemblance to my favorites. Instead of crackly, baguette-like bread, this sandwich came on a giant, torpedo shaped bread. I have never had a banh mi with ground pork, and after trying to eat this one - and spilling it all over my pants in the park - I know why. The cashier seemed to be new and took her time to count the cash. It was $14.15 for the beef pho that I ordered but she said $14.50. I even asked her twice of how much it was.
