The view of Manele Bay from Views Restaurant.

Located in the The Challenge at Manele Golf Club, Views Restaurant certainly lives up to it's name with panoramic views of Manele Bay and environs surrounding it. Just beautiful! We had lunch there and enjoyed it tremendously! We started with drinks. I had the original mojito that was refreshingly delicious. As appetizers, we tried the tempura king crab roll, tempura fried California-style sushi rolls with pickled ginger and a generous helping of wasabi. Winner! We also tried the kalbi lettuce wraps, a take on Thai spring rolls wrapped in fresh lettuce, with all the condiments. Ono! Lunch was the following: Shrimp BLT, grilled shrimp in two 1/2 pitas with crispy French fries, fish and chips with all the condiments, shrimp summer rolls, and my shrimp tacos - 3 tacos with 3 shrimp in each masa tortilla, with a wedge of lime for each taco. Everything was delicious, but the bill came to $259 for 4 of us, pricey for lunch!

On our first day on Lanai, we made reservations for lunch at Views Restaurant overlooking Manele Bay, Hulopoe Beach, and Sweetheart Rock. What spectacular views of the area, enhanced by the blue skies, sunshine, gentle tradewinds, and great company! We enjoyed the friendly reception, friendly staff and prompt service. I enjoyed the crab stuffed tempura sushi plate! So ono! Also enjoyed the lilikoi strawberry lemonade, and the chocolate cookie coffee ice cream sandwich for dessert! Woo hoo!

Do not bother coming here unless you are staying at the four seasons. Visitors from Maui are not welcome.

We sat next to the kids area which was awesome for our 5 kids total that didn't want to sit and wait...more restaurants need this!! We started with the poke donut and sadly nobody liked it, but the rest of the food made up for it! The make your own margaritas were delicious (glad i asked for light spicy bc it was spicy! But so good), the big deck bowl was one of the best meals I've had, and the rest of us got the fish tacos, shrimp bowl and nachos and everyone was impressed. We'd definitely go back Finished eating around 7 and walked across the street for sunset and it was beautiful. Great night!

I started off with a drink IN A CERAMIC PIG. Like, what could be better?? Hubs and I shared a fantastic nacho plate for our lunch, then asked about a dessert menu. Our server said there was only one option, but it was great. She did not exaggerate. It was a sweet Hawaiian bread, fried, with some more sweetness (glaze?) and nuts. So. Good. As we finished, we asked what it was called again, and it remains nameless. It's just there, she said. So go to Coco Deck and get dessert.

Expected more of a French silk chocolate. It was ok but I'd choose the not to be missed shaved ice down the road. We did enjoy however the two pot pies! Easy to reheat and a reasonable dinner at home meal. Beef pie is meaty and chicken had a good amount of vegetables and kale in it. Service at Leodas is good and friendly.

So, We picked up food to take out for a picnic ahead of our drive to Hāna. The line was very long and was disrupting traffic flow in the parking lot. The food was very good. The chicken noodle platters were hearty and delicious. Perfectly cooked and full of flavor. This place is a must try if you are in Maui. Just plan and order ahead. This place is by the airport in a shopping center, not near the beach area!

I really wanted to love this place because I loved Sheldon on Top Chef…read more but...unfortunately...everything I tried was terrible. I tried teh Kau Kau Tin with pork belly and garlic noodles, the Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and a small mac salad. Generally, the Kau Kau Tin and the mac salad were utterly bland. The mac salad tasted of nothing. The garlic noodles in the Kau Kau tin also lacked flavor. The garlic noodle had the slightest of garlic taste. The pork belly was perfectly cooked and was the best part of the Kau Kau tin and I made sure to make each every piece of that. The Spicy Chicken sandwich was the most disappointing item I tried. The chicken patty was just a VERY FATTY piece of fried chicken. It was terrible. The texture shock alone from biting through crispy crust to gelatinous fat was shocking. But then, the chicken was not seasoned. It was a textural monstrosity that had no flavor. All in all, I'm glad I tried it. I will definitely try it again when back on the island in hopes that this was just a bad day.
