We had heard great things about this place so we wanted to try it. We have 2 daughters ages 8 and 11. I called ahead and they said the 0-5 were free, 5-10 1/2 price and 10 - up $19.00. We get there and eat. My 8 yr old barely had 2 bites and 11 yr ate what a normal 11 yr old would eat. When we were paying they charged full price for our 11 yr old. I told them I had called ahead and what they had said. He went back and talked to someone. Came back... Um. Sorry... We meant 5-10 is 1/2 price! They changed it once they saw my daughter looks like she is 14! He said it in a tone that made me think he did not believe me as we said how old she is. This was my first experience at a Brazilian steakhouse, and I was so glad I went! My bf and I went around 8:45pm on Saturday, and it was very busy. The restaurant is fairly small, and there were a few large parties there. There is a little convenience store to the left in a separate room, and we thought we walked into the wrong entrance because there was no hostess stand, and there was a guitarist playing to the immediate left. A young server girl walked up to us, and we asked for a table. She looked very flustered, said that they were "soooooo busy" and she did not know how long we would have to wait for a table. How unprofessional, get your act together. She was basically implying that we should leave. We saw some open spots at the bar, and asked if we could sit there. She seemed hesitant (why??) even though there was another customer sitting there, and said that it should be fine. The area behind the bar stores their glassware and dinnerware; the same girl ran back there and was talking to us about how busy they were and how they didn't have clean plates. I just found it so strange that she was complaining to us, and she really did not seem to have control over ANYTHING. We asked if we could get started on the buffet section while we waited for a table to get cleaned. The buffet doesn't look that appealing, but I really liked everything I had from it. The salad section is very simple; I didn't see any toppings (must've gone up there at an "in between" time). They had fried fish, french fries, fried bananas, lasagna... I thought the fish was pretty good. We got seated at a table, and immediately, servers started coming to our table with the skewers of meat. The picanha was sooo delicious - it was tender and the seasoning was amazing. The sugared pineapple was also really yummy. The garlic chicken was okay, and I liked the sausage. There were some other selections, but the picanha was definitely the best. I ended my meal with a slice of flan from the buffet. It was just okay - the texture was a little too much like cottage cheese for me. For $20/person, this place is a fantastic value. Our cans of coke were $1.50 each, but looking around, it seemed like people brought their own beers. I would recommend this place to anyone; the only sour note of the experience was that girl server who was honestly just so annoying and unprofessional. If you're looking for a long sit down meal this is the place, you get to walk around and get all of your sides and then they bring you the meat. They will bring you chicken, steak, pork and even a fried pineapple with a cinnamon glaze on it. The weird location is why I don't give it 5 stars, it's a corner building so the parking is kinda limited if they are busy and you will have to park somewhat far. I went during lunch. It was 13.99 with meat. It's not bad. Meat selection was small. There was only 4 when i was there, chicken, chicken sausage, top sirloin, and "house special." My boyfriend is Brazilian and loves taking me here for special occasions. His mom makes pretty much the best food I have ever tasted, and he claims that this is the only Brazilian place with rice and beans coming close to as good as him mom makes them. I also love how much you get for the one price. At a lot of places you have to pay extra for certain cuts of meat, but here you get all that they have to offer. Also the salad bar has a huge selection, including things you would normally have to order as a side at other Brazilian steakhouses. Now, my father works for the National Beef Packing Co, so I've grown up having steak multiple times per week, and trust me when I say I am very picky about my meat. Amazing All they get is a one word title... just plain AMAZING... my buddy took me here for lunch... and what a great little restaurant. I have been to Brazil, and this is a very authentic Churrascaria like you would find over in Brazil. This is not your typical fancy Texas de Brazil, (which I love), or Fogo De Chao, but a down home done right Brazilian restaurant. Lunch is $14 and dinner is in the $20's but the restaurant is BYOB. That said the quality of the meat is fantastic. They do not cut corners anywhere. You may not have as large a selection as at the fancy restaurants, but you are paying half of the price, and all of the important cuts are here. Picanha is available for lunch and dinner, parmesan pork as well, chicken wings, sausage, and more. Plus the salad bar and food bar is fine for what you are paying... it is full of typical Brazilian foods and salad. The cheese rolls are fantastic as well. I actually liked this better than the big expensive Brazilian steak places. Yes the sides are different and not the soup and giant Asparagus you get at the big places, however the empanadas were excellent. The only thing they need to work on is the cheese bread, it was sad and dry. If you are looking for a laid back friendly place to eat a lot of meat and have some wine than try this place. I was invited here by a friend for Valentine's Day. He knows how much I enjoy Brazilian steakhouses. The location is in a strip mall but I didn't let that the turn me from giving them a opportunity to wow me that of period it was very crowded as til be expected but I did have a reservation. We waited for about 10 minutes for a table and then we were seated. We were quickly asked what we would like to drink and the beverages were brought out promptly. I had the limeade and it was good. I went to the buffet and tried an assortment of dishes. I only enjoyed the Flan and Bananas. The yams were under cooked and other vegetables under seasoned. It took about 15 minutes after returning from the bar before we were offered any meats. The parmesan pork was delicious. I asked for Lamb but was told they didn't have it by a waiter. The other meats were ok. I did receive a heart balloon at the end of the night which was cute. I feel like I'll give them another try when it's not so busy. read more

I've been to at least six different churrascaria type restaurants in different cities, and this one is my favorite! And not just because it's only about $16 per person for unlimited everything (as opposed to the normal $40ish). I think it's the best salad bar I've ever had, even though its scope was smaller than some of the bigger chains. The brisket mashed potatoes with baked cheese, the beef empanadas, and the fried polenta were all amazing, and all things I'd never seen on a salad bar before. (They do have actual salad, but only two varieties. Plenty when there's meat and cheese to be had!) I like the pace of the meat servers much better here. At the big chains it seems like they swarm you, sometimes whether or not your card is red. Here they were much better at watching you, and only bringing something new when you finished the last piece(s). It was nice to have a hot piece every time instead of a mountain of cold meat because I was overwhelmed and said yes to everything the first rush. The one thing some might find negative - there were only 5 meat choices. Chicken legs, parmesan pork tenderloin, pork sausage, top sirloin, and picanha. That was fine with me, as the last two are my favorites. As others have said, their flan is excellent. I don't like flan, but this was amazing. They also have grilled pineapple with cinnamon, also tasty. I appreciated that dessert was included in the price and fairly light. Dessert is generally my favorite part of every meal, but I'm too full at other Brazilian steakhouses, and don't see the value of paying another $7 when dinner was so expensive in the first place. Upon entering VB I was sure I had the wrong place... There were 2 people in a restaurant with this high if a eating by so many yelpers? Can't be! But apparently we were right on! Dinner was a fixed $20 for all you can eat meat (mind, get out of gutter) and sides. We had a large part of 11 and they were more than happy to accommodate all of us and our separate checks! There is a small salad bar and a large area where you can find any side from French fries to empanadas to plantains and even white rice. They bring the meat on large skewers, as you would imagine considering its a Brazilian steakhouse, and all had great flavors and were very juicy! Honestly this place is awesome! The quality of the meat you are getting is fantastic for the money you are paying. For dinner buffet it is about $19.99...but this is mountains and mountains of meat brought fresh on a skewer to your table. In addition to the meat, you also get the salad bar, sides, and dessert to go with your meal. You are not paying for the expensive overhead here like at other Brazilian restaurants and all the other meats you probably don't even care for. At Vila Brazil they focus on the quality of meat and the preparation of it. They make sure when they bring it to your table it is still oozing with juice on the inside but charred to perfection on the outside. The must try: picanha (man this is always done very well!) ; garlic beef (super flavorful); sausage (very juicy, usually the ones I have had at other restaurants are over cooked); grilled pineapple (they always ensure you get a piece that has the cinnamon sugar coating on it even if it means running to the grill a few more times); and last but not least....FLAN!!! Yes FLAN...they do this one right! Their flan is super creamy & not too sweet...trust me ONE is never enough! Tip: make sure you ask for chimichurri, they do not put this out, this is given on request. This restaurant is great! Cozy atmosphere, decent service, great food at a super affordable price, there was live music last time we went, and most importantly...they know their meat! This place is seriously OFF THE CHARTS! I came in with a Groupon. The food was great, the salad bar with sides were impeccably maintained and had a great amount of options. The picanha was seriously some of the best meat I have ever had in my life. And the grilled pineapple was amazing as well. The most noteworthy thing about the place is the service. My boyfriend and I were astounded by the great service we received from every single individual within the place. I was really surprised because the Groupon automatically required a 18% tip on the original amount of the meal. However their service did not reflect that. All the men came around with the different cuts of meat very regularly and even asked if there was anything in particular that we'd like to have whenever we were turning their offers down. I can't remember ever in my life getting such attentive, friendly and caring service, nonetheless from the entire staff simultaneously! I am shocked at the ratings given to this place. I was suckered into the travelzoo deal recently and based on the ratings here, decided to give this place a shot. Let me say that I am no snob or think that I am a member of "high society". I'm a regular middle class guy. I want to say this up here and I will repeat below. They only walk around and cook one meat at a time. You will wait a long time before being served another different meat Our experience started at 5:30pm on a Saturday when we walked in the door. There is no person to greet you or help you when you arrive so that you can know where to go. It is just an open room with a few workers walking around. We assumed the blond girl walking around would greet us and tell us where to sit. She did not. She passed us by 3 times while we stood there looking like idiots. Finally one of the meat cutter guys came over and told us where we could sit. After we sat down, we were told that we could go to the salad bar at any time. For people that think this salad bar is anything like Fogo or Texas de Brazil, you are in for a shock. There are two types of lettuce, and three types of salad dressings. That didn't bother me at all, I'm just trying to let others know what to expect. Moving down the salad bar line you have rice, black beans, pinto beans. Some sort of beef, zucchini, mashed potatoes, rolls (which we were told they were out of), and a couple of more items that we didn't know what they were because nothing is labelled. Good luck guessing the salad dressings. There are no cheeses or crackers or really any of the things that are at the other Brazillian steakhouses. After we sat back down and ate what was on our plate, a person came over and offered us sausage or chicken. I was not ready, but my girlfriend decided to try the chicken. I had a bite and it was just ok. Nothing special. When I finished with my salad bar items, I waited. And I waited and I waited and I waited. Understand that this place only cooks one meat at a time. At least this was the way it was when we were there. I have only been here one time, so perhaps it was an off night. Somehow I doubt it though. They finally brought around a garlic beef. This meat was not good. Way too much garlic and not very tasty. After I finished this small portion, we waited some more. Sometimes we were skipped when the meat cutters came around. Sometimes they didn't come to our table because they served everyone else before us and ran out of meat. I need to add this as well. We were not given the mini tongs that you use to grab the meat off the stick when they slice it. We even asked twice to get them and were told they would bring us some, but never got them. We sort of had to use our knife and fork. Now, i know this isn't a big deal, but if others had to do this as well, it is very likely that forks that have been in other peoples mouths touched the future meat that was to be sliced. That is not sanitary. We decided to hit the salad bar again since no meats were coming around any time soon. After we came back they came out with their version of the flank steak. I'm not lying when I say that it really was like rubber. I've never had any meat taste so bad. Horrible texture and flavor. My girlfriend decided to try the flan and said it was just all right. They finally brought out something else and it was chicken wrapped with bacon. It was ok. It's pretty hard to screw up bacon but the chicken was a little dry with not much flavor. We gave up at this point. The travelzoo deal was $29 for two and I would say that it was the biggest waste of money ever. Overall, horrible service and food. Yes the atmosphere is just average, but I honestly don't care about that. If the food is good and the service is ok, I'm a happy camper. I doubt my review will be very helpful since this place has such good reviews, but it was an honest recap of my experience. read more

I've been eating at this place long before they were called Vila Brazil. Some years ago they were known as Brasil Brasileiro but the quality of food and service has remained top notch! I'm Brazilian so I can tell you that their food reminds me of my time living in Brazil. Everything is fresh and cooked to your preference. Every time I go there it feels like I'm back in Brazil. Their prices are reasonable and there's also a convenience store that's next door to the restaurant. I happen to personally know the owner and he has done a great job in running this place. The restaurant has all the traditional side dishes that you would expect. The feijoada was quite good and the black beans were nice and thick. The meats were delicious, especially their picanha. They use flank steak for their fraldinha instead of skirt. I much prefer eating skirt steak but they cooked their flank steak almost perfectly, so how could I complain? The sausages, chicken, and pork were all cooked perfectly, were juicy, and very tasty. It was very good food for an excellent price. So why 4 stars? Mainly because they didn't have skirt steak. Skirt steak is my absolute favorite cut, especially when it's prepared Brasilian style. If they added that to their menu, I would give them 5 stars hands down. I had dinner at Vila Brazil last night with a group of wine industry professionals. We chose it because it's BYOB. The staff could not have been more accommodating to our "special needs" of a specially-shaped table, multiple wine glasses, and attentive service (they happily opened over a dozen bottles of wine for us). Each meat selection was perfectly prepared and seasoned. They also had these little round cheese puffs that were to die for! I love hidden gems where the owner comes out and makes sure everything is perfect. The owner gets 5 stars for his smiling service... his answer to everything was YES. Vila Brazil is about an hour away from me, but in my opinion, worth the drive. It's not a fancy place, but it's a great place to hang out with friends over a scrumptious--and affordable--meal. read more
