Villa Maria has excellent food and great prices. I discovered this gem about a year ago as I was looking to try the different pizzerias in town. After one slice, I was hooked. I decided to try some of their baked dishes as well as I tend to find that a place either has good pizza and ok food, or vice versa. I was pleasantly surprised to find that both the food and the pizza are great. Now as an added bonus, the staff is fantastic. My girlfriend is from a very large, and very picky Italian family, especially when it comes to Italian food. There had just been a death in the family and they needed a last minute catered package; my girlfriend suggested Villa Maria. The pizza is crunchy and delicious but the man making the pizza was dry and low key rude to me. The place is very small, employees were trudging boxes everywhere, and because of the impoliteness of the man it was not an environment I will be returning to. There is a $10 minimum for credit transactions and you can't get many of the pizzas they have by the slice, although their selection of pizza is still very yummy. read more

Ordered from them a few Saturday nights ago for a family party and they were awesome! When I had originally called earlier that week the owner, I believe his name was Michael, was so nice and accommodating. We had a pretty large order and every single thing was to perfection. There wasn't one error or one item missing. The food was delicious! Some favorites were chicken parm, chicken Marsala, and the broccoli penne with garlic and oil. I order pizza from here a lot because they have good prices even though it's not the best pizza. But yesterday I ordered baked clams from there and was disgusted not only with the clams but with the persons attitude that I told about them. First of all, let me say that I am VERY familiar with types of clams. The first one was ok but when I took the second one out it was DEFINITELY a steamer that they used. I KNOW THE DIFFERENCE. The green tailed steamer was not meant to be used to make baked clams. It actually made me nauseous as did the employee that tried to tell me I was wrong. Wanted to update my review only because one of the reviewers on here, Cindy M, wrote a false and disturbing one about Villa Maria and I would like to set the record straight. Villa Maria is a small family owned pizza restaurant that also specializes in Italian dishes. The food is absolutely phenomenal with healthy-sized portions and very good prices. They recently won the News12 Best of Long Island restaurant contest. Unfortunately some 'fans' of the opposing team who served out of a Vegan food truck lost the contest so decided to start a smear campaign on VM and its owner, Michael for multiple days. One of those fans, Cindy M (leaving her last name out of this for decency), thought it would be 'cute' to go onto Yelp and slander the restaurant some more (bc Facebook wasn't enough!) by writing a false review stating she ate there and got sick. Cindy is Vegan and has NOT eaten at Villa Maria! And it's very disappointing that some people would stoop so low as to try and ruin the reputation of an excellent pizza establishment because they lost a contest. Please don't be dissuaded from eating at Villa Maria. I go there ALL THE TIME and have had nothing but delicious and fresh food along with friendly & courteous service. It's a hidden gem in Bethpage. I ordered 5 hero sandwiches and two large pies from Villa Maria on Sunday. I'm ashamed to admit that I drove them crazy on the phone. I mean, REALLY crazy. I was unsure of what I wanted and kept changing my mind. I was also having a hard time hearing them. As I was trying to speak to them, my grandchildren were clamoring for my attention. While speaking to them, I put my credit card down for a minute and couldn't find it afterwards. (It was in the refrigerator.) After I ordered, I reconsidered and asked them to void out my order and promised that I would call back. Not sure they were happy to hear that but they never let on to me. Throughout the whole episode, they were kind and patient and accommodating. I kept apologizing because this isn't my typical behavior - I was having a senior moment and they were bearing the brunt of it. And I felt even worse because they were so understanding. I asked that they deliver the food at a certain time. They were very busy but said they would try. I felt so bad about my behavior that I called them back and told them that whatever time they could deliver was fine with me - not to rush. But, they replied that the order would be at my house at the exact time I requested. And it was! I couldn't believe my good luck with these people from Villa Maria. When the food arrived, I was proud to serve it. IT WAS AWESOME. Even though they were very busy and they had a lunatic driving them crazy, my order was delivered perfectly, on time, hot and really, really good. I can't thank Villa Maria enough. My guests, from Brooklyn where there is a family owned pizza place on every block, are hard to please. Everything was delicious. I thought I made the best sausage, peppers and onions until I tasted yours. And your meatballs....which I rarely order out, were so good. I decided to look for a new go-to pizza delivery because my other 2 local places charge $18 for a pie....Under new ownership, I tried the "family special" - cheese pie, dozen garlic knots, 2 heroes, and 2 liters of soda for $24.99. We were very pleased with the food. Sauce was good, eggplant was firm and thick enough for good flavor and consistency. (hate very thin with too much bread crumbs...which can be a soggy mess) Chicken parm was also good, tender not like it was sitting around. For the value, I am very happy. Looking forward to trying other menu items. They also have an all you can eat Saturday night for 7.99/adult, 4.99/child, and do comedy nights. I ordered dinners from the app Eat24 after ordering pizza and enjoying it. I ordered Chicken Parmesan and Chicken Fiorentino. Unfortunately, my daughter did not like the Chicken Parmesan and I did not find the other chicken dish very appetizing. This place is ideal for take out. The food arrives hot and tasty. The delivery guys are quick and polite so i tip them well. The pizza has a good thickness and an excellent ratio of sauce and cheese that make the kids love it. The rolls are a good size and fresh. The pasta and dishes are great servings. The mushrooms on the pizza are delicious and are fresh not canned. The eggplant pie is great but the only exception would be to ask the customer if they want the lemon zest on it. Sometime it can get to be too much. Overall this pizzeria is the best in the area. This is my favorite place to eat pizza. I call, almost always, and have food delivered. It always arrives hot and in usually quicker than the time estimated. Recently I called and ordered a pizza but it was not what I wanted. I called and told them that it wasn't what I wanted. I was told that I was charged for what was delivered. But he didn't argue with me and even said that he must have not heard what I said. He asked me if I still wanted the pizza I had ordered. He said that he would be happy to make another one. It was delivered in less than half an hour. I was charged for the second pizza and he let me keep the first one. The driver wouldn't even accept a tip. I was a regular take-out customer of Villa Maria for over 5 years, as it is the closest Italian restaurant to my home. However, I will not be returning. I was using a coupon for the first time (since their coupons are mainly for dine-in or pizza) and they were extremely rude to me. The owner and two females (perhaps his wife and daughter) ganged up on me and I left the restaurant shaking. I had a family holiday party catered by Villa Maria and my guests are still talking about the food. They could not get enough. Grilled chicken hero with mozzerellla, roasted red pepper, tomato and a balsamic drissle was the favorite. Also had the pene alla vodka and saussage with pepper and onion. All fantastic.
