    Villa Rosano Restaurant

We went to dinner at Villa Rosano with some friends based on positive recommendations. Bottom line: While the atmosphere is pleasant, the food and service were inconsistent. One person in our group ordered the Caesar salad with a side of anchovies. It was also accompanied by a bowl of shaved parmesan cheese. He enjoyed the large salad and the anchovies. He also thoroughly enjoyed the Rigatoni di Casa, which included sausage and rapini greens in a garlic and olive oil sauce. I had the chicken marsala. It was a nice portion and contained an abundance of tasty mushrooms, but the marsala sauce was thin and there was not enough of it on the dish. My wife and a friend each ordered the chicken parmesan. They were both disappointed as the chicken was too dry. And the pieces of chicken were stacked on top of each other so the bottom piece had no sauce or cheese at all. Our friend enjoyed her vegetable medley as the veggies were nicely sauteed. My wife requested her pasta to be well drained so it wasn't sitting in a pool of water. The server misunderstood and delivered a side of pasta without any sauce on it. The pasta was lukewarm. When the server brought the missing sauce, it was not very hot either. The bread was fresh and tasty. A bottle of olive oil was on the table for use with the bread. It would have been better if the oil had some seasonings. We added the parm cheese from the Caesar salad to create a nice mix for dipping the bread. Good thing our friend had ordered that salad. The server was pleasant and generally attentive, but we had to request refills on our waters from a passing server rather than having the refills arrive unprompted. Overall, the meal was okay but we're not rushing back as we will continue to explore other options for Italian dinners.

Celebrated a birthday dinner at Villa Rosano recently with a big group -- over 20 women! They definitely had their hands full, but did their best to make it all run smoothly. My friend and I split the chicken francese, which was delicious! The kitchen brought out a variety of dishes --from shrimp and salad to chicken and more -- so everyone had something to enjoy. This was no an easy task! One thing I appreciated: they let us bring our own cake, which was a great personal touch for the celebration. Service-wise, it's not easy to handle a party that large, but they made it work. They even organized separate checks for every 5 people, which was super helpful when it came time to pay. Overall, a nice spot for a group dinner with a warm, classic Italian vibe.

We have enjoyed lunch here twice, so far and are very happy. They offer lunch specials Mon-Sat for $13, including bread, Entree and soft drink. You can opt for a glass of house wine or house cocktail for only $6 if you so desire. The service is fast and friendly and you dont feel rushed. Servings are large and I wound up taking part of my delicious Eggplant parmesan with spaghetti home.. The interior is beautiful and has comfortable seating. With large booths and tables. The bar has seating available as well. Located in the Publix plaza, behind Ben's, with plenty of parking, although it may be a challenge in this popular center.

We were planning on having lunch at the sushi restaurant in the same plaza, but found they were closed when we got to their door. So we walked a few stores down to this place. I'm really glad we did. They had a number of inexpensive lunch specials along with very good food and service to match. We were immediately greeted and seated on entering. As we looked over the menu, they brought out freshly baked hot rolls, a dish of grated parmesan cheese and some oil and balsamic vinegar. Our drinks came out pdq. We both ordered from the lunch specials menu. I chose their chicken marsala, and he chose the eggplant parmesan. Both plates were quite large. He really liked his eggplant which was served over spaghetti. He ate half and took the other half home for another meal later. My chicken marsala was not a large portion of chicken but it was covered with lots of mushrooms. The brown sauce was absolutely delicious. On the plate were also some fresh carrots and green beans. They were done al dente and very very good as well. I did not leave a crumb. The lunch specials are only $13 and include a complimentary beverage of iced tea, coffee, or soda. This is a bargain price. And considering how good the food and the service was, I can understand why they were so busy. I'd definitely come back here if in the area.

We have lived around the corner for a year, but only ate here for the first time a couple of weeks ago, and have already come back with our daughter! Food is very tasty! My husband absolutely loved the Chicken Marsala and the Chicken Parmigiana was very good too. They also have small Pizzas. You can order two sizes for pizza take out. We will definitely be making this a regular stop!

    No seasoning whatsoever.

The bread, focaccia, and bruschetta especially the bruschetta was wonderful. Wish we could buy tomatoes like that. The fried calamari was tender and fried perfectly. I order it often, and am often disappointed. Not true here. It was excellent. The tiramamsu for dessert didn't disappoint. All in all, this was a 10 out of 10. The food was excellent--truly authentic, packed with flavor, and cooked to perfection. You can taste the quality in every dish. Beyond the incredible food, the ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful, strikes the perfect balance of cozy and upscale. What really took the night to the next level, though, was our server, Tony. He was hands-down the best! Tony went above and beyond to make the birthday celebration feel incredibly special, attentive, warm, and genuinely welcoming. Make sure you save room for dessert because the strawberry shortcake is absolutely to die for, and the after dinner cookies were the perfect sweet finish. However as mentioned the restaurant manager and hostess need a refresher training in hospitality and customer service.

I ordered the Tomato Cream Gnocchi and my boyfriend had the Mediterranean Combo. No exaggeration but this was the best gnocchi I've ever had. The dish changed my view on gnocchi and I'm now a converted fan. The texture was pillow soft with a bit of spring. The magic of this dish is how simple yet delicious it is. I loved a simple dish done well. The Mediterranean combo was a special of the night and it came with prawns, branzino, fried anchovies, and a salad. The combo was also just as goods. The seasoning was yet again, simple but delicious. The prawns were succulent, fish was high quality, and the fried anchovies surprised me. I loved all the proteins. I also tried the squid ink pasta and the seafood linguini. Both were good but the squid ink pasta was unique. I can't put my finger on the flavor but I liked it. While the food was generally good--my veal chop from the prix fixe menu was flavorful, though slightly dry--other dishes were, unfortunately, just average. What truly undermined the evening, however, was the service. Throughout the night, several guests struggled with repeatedly unfilled water glasses and had to ask multiple times for basic items. Our waitress hardly checked in until the end of the meal, with minimal follow-up during dinner. The situation escalated when, after paying, our waitress, Haley B, approached the table in a confrontational manner, questioning me directly--three separate times--about the tip, in front of the entire group. Gratuity should reflect the quality of both service and overall experience; being pressured for a higher tip despite the lack of attention was entirely out of line. To make matters worse, my follow-up call to management was equally disappointing. The response was all talk, no action. Unfortunately, the lack of professionalism left a lasting negative impression.

I can honestly say that everything on the menu is exceptional. I once had a snapper special served piccante style that was absolutely out of this world. Avery and I had a lovely dinner Saturday night. We started with the Sausage and Peppers - real homemade Italian sausages that are a little sweet and spicy, with every bite bursting with flavor. Then we shared the grilled seafood appetizer, one of the evening's specials, and it definitely lived up to the "special" part!
